The first day in Canada: Dr. Thomas Ahmed

I found this after a friend sent me another article by this gentleman and scholar. He is Dr. Thomas Ahmed.  Quite revealing and I am using the picture he used to make the point and contrasting the burqua babes and the other young ladies who might have too much revealed. Even for a guy like me. Guess I am getting old(er). If anyone is offended by the image used, that was NOT my intention.

Back to the post. This about a family who has immigrated to Canada and it is the first day for them in their new, western home. The story starts out with a lie about sisters and wives. It goes quickly downhill from there as the muslim husband reacts in a typical way to the exposure they encounter in their new home.

The First Day in Canada
By Dr. Thomas Ahmed

As soon as their applications were approved the families were provided with visas, emergency travelling documents, and free tickets. Therefore, Abu Fatima immigrated to Canada with ten dependants. The four families of Abu Fatima arrived in Edmonton city, Canada one late evening. The immigration office sent seven authorized persons, one Syrian interpreter, and a big bus to receive Abu Fatima and his big family. The immigration office rented three apartments in different three buildings to accommodate Abu Fatima and his families. The first building was located in the South end of the city, the second in the North end, and third in the West end. The South end apartment was reserved to Abu Fatima, his wife Ibtisam, and their four daughters. The North end apartment was kept for the wife who claimed to be the first sister of Abu Fatima and her two daughters. The West end apartment was prepared for the other two wives who were registered as single sisters. So, the four families were sorted, separated, and treated as three un-mixable families by the immigration office.

When Abu Fatima learned through the Syrian interpreter the arrangement of the officials he objected and swore by God that his two sisters would not stay by themselves. Also he refused to allow his other sister to live by herself with her two children. The three wives due to the fear of being beaten by their terrorist husband supported his firm decision and told the interpreter that they would not stay far from their brother. No matter how Abu Fatima and his sisters objected the officials refused to change the arrangement of the accommodation. The question of safety was not acceptable reason for them. They informed the interpreter that Abu Fatima should not worry about his sisters' safety. His sisters were grown up women and could take care of themselves.

When all the arguments and justifications of the brother and his sisters could not convince the officials, Abu Fatima informed the interpreter that the three sisters in fact were his own wives.

"If these men come to know that these girls are not your sisters, but your wives, then you will definitely spend your first night in jail and very shortly you will be deported back to Syria," said the interpreter to Abu Fatima in Arabic language.

"But how can I allow my wives to live by themselves?"

"You have no choice. You have brought them here as your sisters and they suppose to act as your sisters."

Accordingly, Abu Fatima unwillingly accepted the arrangement of the officials. Among his four wives, Abu Fatima hated Ibtisam the most because of her advance age and she gave birth to four girls. Because of her he was neck-named Abu Fatima. His favourite and most beloved wife was Sawsan. She was the youngest and the most beautiful of all the four wives. She was not yet seventeen when she immigrated with her husband to Canada. Next to Sawsan Abu Fatima preferred Salwa. Sadly, Sawsan and Salwa were to stay together. His second wife, Intisar would live with her two children. Therefore, Abu Fatima hated the arrangement of the immigration officials which was forced on him and his wives.

The immigration officials decided to take first the two young sisters to their apartment. When the bus reached the South end of the city the officials asked Sawsan and Salwa to get down. By then Abu Fatima engaged himself into fierce argument with the Syrian interpreter.

"How can I allow my young wives to go with these infidels men? They might rape them."

"These men are not bad. I have been working with them for many years. In all those years I have never heard any young girl being raped by the immigration officers. For sure your wives will be safe by themselves. There are thousands of young and beautiful girls in this city living all alone."

The assuring words of the Syrian interpreter cooled down the anger of Abu Fatima. However, as Sawsan and Salwa were entering the building followed by the immigration officials and the interpreter Abu Fatima spotted two young white couple standing in front of the building. The young white man was tall, tough, and almost naked. He had on very short pants and nothing else to cover his chest and shoulders. His girlfriend likewise was half-naked. She dressed up in short pants and hardly covering her half-exposed breasts. Abu Fatima had never seen before a girl exposed her body. His four wives and six daughters were not allowed to show even their hair. All of them were wrapped from head to foot by Islamic hijabs, like onions. One could only see their faces and nothing else. Abu Fatima immediate reaction was that he jumped out of the bus, ran behind his two wives, caught them by the shoulders, and pulled them back. The officials were astonished by the strange behaviour of the man. When they overcame the shock Abu Fatima had already forced his two wives to climb again inside the bus. He was so outraged and began to shower his wives with many filthy words. He scolded them for agreeing to go with those men and not bothering to see such a bad girl and bad man standing naked in front of the building.

"What he thinks he is doing?" shouted one of the officials at the interpreter.

"Most probably he did not like to see these young couple dressed up in those clothes" said the interpreter.

"But that is none of his business."

"Sir, this man is very religious person. He needs time to adjust to this society."

"We are not going to change the society in order to meet his erroneous moral standard."

One of the officials walked to the bus and asked the two sisters to get out of the bus and follow him again. It was Sawsan who responded to the order and stood up. Abu Fatima lifted up his right hand as high as he could and brought it down on Sawsan's lift cheek. The powerful strike turned Sawsan upside down. When she fell on her face Abu Fatima assaulted her again and began to beat and kick her on her back. The officials rushed inside the bus and held the outrageous man. Another official dialled 911 and called the cops...

How about adultery within Islam?

There is nothing fair about how Islam, the Qur'an, Hadith say about adultery. The cards are stacked against women and it is not just with adultery but all of shariah law and Islam that is extremely unfair to women. Women are mere possesions for the males of Islam, often times reduced to slaves and third class people, at best. A woman's word is not equal to man's nor is she worth as much, or get as much in any divorce settlement. This is the latest from Traveler.

ADULTERY AND ISLAM
By Traveler

♦ Under Islamic law, rape can only be proven if the rapist confesses or if there are four male witnesses. Women who allege rape, without the benefit of the act having been witnessed by four men who subsequently develop a conscience, are actually confessing to having sex. If they or the accused happens to be married, then it is considered to be adultery.

The Qur'an:

Qur'an (2:282) - Establishes that a woman's testimony is worth only half that of a man's in court (there is no "he said/she said" gridlock in Islam).

Qur'an (24:4) - "And those who accuse free women then do not bring four witnesses (to adultery), flog them..."

Qur'an (24:13) - "Why did they not bring four witnesses of it? But as they have not brought witnesses they are liars before Allah."

From the Hadith:

Bukhari (5:59:462) - The background for the Qur'anic requirement of four witnesses to adultery. Muhammad's favorite wife, Aisha, was accused of cheating [on her polygamous husband]. Three witnesses corroborated the event, but Muhammad did not want to believe it, and so established the arbitrary rule that four witnesses are required.

♦ Rape is virtually impossible to prove under Islamic law (Sharia) and even in more moderate countries. If the man claims that the act was consensual sex, there is very little that the woman can do to refute this. Islam places the burden of avoiding sexual encounters of any sort on the woman.
♦ A few of the many many cases of Sharia in action, applied to adultery.

♦ Afghanistan: (March 1996) Some strict interpretations of Islamic law calls for the death penalty for any woman found in the company of a man other than a close family member. Sexual activity is assumed to have happened.

A woman, Jamila, was found guilty of trying to leave the country with such a man. She was caught and stoned to death on 28th March 1996

Afghanistan: (November 2006): Under the Taliban regime, a woman, Nurbibi, 40, and a man Turylai, 38, were stoned to death in a public assembly using palm-sized stones. They were found guilty of non-marital sex.

Turylai was dead within ten minutes, but Nurbibi had to be finished off by dropping a large rock on her head.

Mr. Wali, head of the Office for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prohibition of Vice expressed satisfaction with the execution: "...I am very happy, because it means that the rule of Islam is being implemented." These executions (as well as hand amputations for convicted thieves) are regarded as religious occasions and are not normally viewed by non-Muslims.

United Arab Emirates: (February 2000): Kartini Karim, an unmarried citizen of Indonesia, was working as a housemaid in the United Arab Emirates when her pregnancy was detected. She and a man from of India were charged with adultery.

She was convicted; he fled the country before he could be arrested. She was placed on trial without a lawyer or a translator, "...alone and equipped with barely any word of the local language,". She was not told that she had a right to communicate with her embassy. Her embassy was not informed in advance of the trial.

She was sentenced to death by stoning. The Indonesian government hired a lawyer and translator to appeal her case. On APR-25 2000, the appeals court reduced her sentence to one year in prison, followed by deportation.

United Arab Emirates: (August 2000): A woman, "Amina Abdullahi is sentenced to 100 lashes in the state of Zamfara for having premarital sex."

United Arab Emirates: (November 2000): Attine Tanko, 18, is found guilty of having pre-marital sex out of wedlock. She was discovered to be pregnant. Her sentence of 100 lashes was deferred for up to two years after the birth, so that she could breastfeed her baby. Her boyfriend, 23, was flogged 100 times and given jail time.

Nigeria: (September 2001): A teenage single mother, Bariya Magazu claimed at trial that she was raped by three men. The court assumed that she was guilty, because she could not prove that her father pressured her to engage in sexual activity with the men.

She was found guilty of two offenses: having pre-marital sex, and bringing false charges against the men that she claimed were responsible. Her sentence was 180 lashes.

Nigeria: (October 2001): Safiya Hussaini, a 30-year-old pregnant woman, had asked a Sharia court in Sokoto state to force a man that she alleged had raped her, to pay for her daughter's naming ceremony. The court refused, and then charged her with engaging in sexual intercourse outside of marriage.

She was sentenced to be stoned to death. The man that she allegedly had sex with was freed by the court for lack of evidence.

She had not been given any legal representation, and the court had failed to establish the basic facts of the case.

Sudan: (December 2001): An 18 year-old pregnant woman, Alfa Akok, was accused by her husband of adultery. She claimed that she had been raped.
The man co-accused with Abok was not tried due to lack of evidence.

In Sudan, a married person found guilty of adultery is executed by stoning; an unmarried person receives 100 lashes. She had no lawyer, and was unaware of her rights during the trial.

The Court of Appeal in Southern Darfur overturned the death sentence and sent the case back to the lawyer court which set punishment at 75 lashes. By immediately executing the sentence, she was denied her right to obtain legal advice and/or an launch an appeal prior to the beating.

Nigeria: (March 2002): Safiya Hussaini, 33, was convicted of adultery. She was sentenced to be buried up to her neck in sand and to be stoned to death. However, her sentence was deferred until her 13-month-old daughter has finished nursing.

She appealed her conviction. Her cousin, a Mr. Abubakar allegedly confessed to police that he had sex with her three times. However, the judge dismissed the testimony of the three policemen who witnessed Abubakar's confession, because a minimum of four witnesses are required under Sharia law.

Hussaini's lawyers claimed that she also could not be convicted because of the four witness rule. The prosecution argued that witnesses were not required in her case; adultery had obviously taken place because she had become pregnant.

Mansur Ibrahim Said, Dean of the Law Faculty at Dakar University in Sokoto said that adultery is "an abomination abhorred by God and society because of the example it gives and because it creates bastards to be rejected by society."

The appeals court later reversed the lower court conviction. They ruled that the alleged act had taken place before Sharia law was activated in the province, and adultery became a criminal offence.

There was strong international interest in her case. The European Union, the parliament of Italy and many non-governmental organizations successfully appealed for Safiya to be spared.

Nigeria: (March 2002): A woman, Amina Kurami, from village of Kurami was sentenced to death for adultery. The sentence was delayed for eight months until she has finished breast feeding her infant.

She appealed the conviction, on the basis that the offence occurred before Sharia law came into effect. The appeal was rejected by the Islamic High Court. Dozens of spectators cheered and shouted "God is great".
Her case was eventually dismissed.

Nigeria: (April 2002): A 19 year old woman, Adama Unusua was sentenced to 100 lashes court, for engaging in sexual intercourse with her fiancé. She was pregnant at the time of the trial.

Nigeria: (June 2002): A man, Yunusa Chiwaya was convicted of adultery and was sentenced to be stoned to death.

He had confessed to engaging in sexual activities with his neighbor's wife, and had declined multiple opportunities to withdraw his confession.

The woman in the case was cleared after she swore on the Qur'an that she had been hypnotized before she left home with him.

Pakistan: (Present Day).In the overflowing womens prisons, 75-80 percent of the women are there for life for the crime of..being raped !!

Is Sharia Law what we want for our Countries ??

US mulls expanding drone strikes into Quetta

Afp, Peshawar

Taliban militants blew up a girls' school in Pakistan's Khyber district yesterday, officials said, as two soldiers and seven insurgents were killed in clashes in the northwest tribal belt.

The pre-dawn school attack took place in Saddokhel town in northwest Khyber tribal district, where militants detonated explosives planted around the building, destroying all five school rooms but causing no injuries.

"They are Taliban. They are the same people who do not want children to get an education," senior administration official Rahim Gul Khattak told AFP.

Islamist militants opposed to co-education have destroyed hundreds of schools, mostly for girls, in the northwest of the country in recent years as they wage a fierce insurgency to enforce Sharia law.

Meanwhile, senior US officials are pushing to expand CIA drone strikes beyond Pakistan's tribal region and into a major city in an attempt to pressure the Pakistani government to pursue Taliban leaders based in the city of Quetta, The Los Angeles Times reported late Sunday.

The newspaper said the prospect of Predator aircraft strikes in Quetta signals a new US resolve to decapitate the Taliban. But it also risks rupturing Washington's relationship with Islamabad.

The concern has created tension among officials in the administration of President Barack Obama over whether unmanned aircraft strikes in a city of 850,000 are a realistic option, the paper said.

Proponents, including some military leaders, argue that attacking the Taliban in Quetta -- or at least threatening to do so -- is critical to the success of the revised war strategy President Obama unveiled last week, The Times said.

Pakistani troops launched an offensive in Khyber district in September to try and flush out both the Taliban and homegrown militant group Lashkar-e-Islam (Army of Islam), led by feared warlord Mangal Bagh.

The fabled Khyber tribal region is the main land bridge to neighbouring Afghanistan and is also close to the northwest provincial capital Peshawar, which has been hit by a series of suicide bombings in recent months.

'Moderate' Muslims Murder Mother of 5 for Honor

Another story spiked by Islamist-leaning, left-wing media outlets....

Three Jordanian men were charged on Tuesday with premeditated murder after allegedly stabbing to death their divorced sister as well as burning her body and house over her "bad reputation," police said.

"The three brothers all under 30, agreed to kill their 40-year-old sister on Sunday because she allegedly had a bad reputation," in Abu Alanda, in southeast Amman, a police spokesman told AFP.

"She was stabbed 15 times. One of the three told police that the mother of five had a love affair with a man and that he found pictures of the woman sitting with her alleged lover."

The spokesperson said the suspects "burned the victim's body and set ablaze her house to cover the crime."

"They were arrested at hospital after being treated for burns. They confessed to the murder," added.

Murder is punishable by the death penalty in Jordan but in the case of so-called "honour killings" a court usually commutes or reduces sentences, particularly if the victim's family urges leniency.

The US-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) urged Jordan earlier this month to reform its penal code, which it says condones the murder of women as "honour crimes."

Jordan's parliament has refused to institute harsher penalties.

Around 15-20 women are murdered each year in Jordan in the name of honour, despite government efforts to fight such crimes. So far this year, there have been 16 reported.
