How islam honors women or where the fighting feminists of the west?

Just a quick look' at how islam honors and respects women. Oh yes, those feminists who battle anything and everything male? They are in a separate room at the mosque, trying on their new burqas and and other islamic finery.

How islam honors women.

Qur'an (4:11) - (Inheritance) "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females" (see also verse 4:176).


Qur'an (2:282) - (Court testimony) "And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not found then a man and two women." Muslim apologists have sometimes creatively tried to explain why a woman's testimony is worth half that of a man's under Islamic law (based on this verse) while still attempting to maintain the semblance of equality. Unfortunately for them, studies consistently show that women are less likely to tell lies than men, meaning that they would make more reliable witnesses in any court - were it not for Islam's obvious sexism.


Qur'an (2:228) - "and the men are a degree above them [women]"


Qur'an (5:6) - "And if ye are unclean, purify yourselves. And if ye are sick or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, then go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it" Men are to rub dirt on their hands if there is no water to purify them following casual contact with a woman (such as shaking hands).


Qur'an (24:31) - Women are to lower their gaze around men, so they do not look them in the eye. (To be fair, men are told to do the same thing in the prior verse).


Qur'an (2:223) - "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will..." A man has dominion over his wives' bodies as he does his land. This verse is overtly sexual. There is some dispute as to whether it is referring to the practice of anal intercourse, which it has been used historically to justify. If this is what Muhammad meant, however, then it would appear to contradict what he said in Muslim (8:3365).


Qur'an (4:3) - (Wife-to-husband ratio) "Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four"


Qur'an (53:27) - "Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names." Angels are sublime beings, and would therefore be male.


Qur'an (4:24) and Qur'an (33:50) - A man is permitted to take women as sex slaves outside of marriage. Note that the verse distinguishes wives from captives (those whom they right hand possesses).

Restaurant in Canada seats women in separate section according to sharia law

They have no problem enforcing sharia law even though in Canada sharia law is illegal. The comments below are from Vlad Tepes site.

"This story first came to light when posted on Small Dead Animals, one of Canada’s more influential blogs, thanks to a reader who sent in the photograph. It appears the owners and operators of Juba Restaurant feel perfectly comfortable applying sharia standards in a public establishment. Canadian values do not support gender segregation; men and women are considered equal in all aspects of life, with legal statutes firmly in place reflecting this societal value. Sharia law considers gender mixing unIslamic, so it stands to reason that the good Muslims over at Juba’s sharia shack would defy both the value of gender equality and the laws supporting it.

Purdah, the separation of men and women, is based upon the central theme of Namus (honour) and is expected in public in many Islamic countries. Religious Saudis believe it is forbidden for a woman to eat in public as part of her veil would have to be removed to do so, revealing her face which would compromise purdah. For this reason, segregation is especially strict in restaurants and it is common for establishments to have defined areas for women only often marked as “family” and “women section only”. It is common to see western restaurant chains with both separate entrances and seating sections as they too, must abide by sharia standards. McDonald’s in Riyhad comes complete with a segregated section where women must sit in the “family” section.

Sharia law is not legal in Canada. and this is not Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan or any other country where sharia is the standard. This is Canada where Islamic law finds little, if any respect.

I might add, restaurants in Canada have been declared public property, and that was the entire basis for the now nation wide smoking bans. If a restaurant is considered public property, even though I do not believe it is, for the purpose of social engineering, then surely the kind of gender apartheid, (using the word correctly for once) being applied in this restaurant must be illegal and certainly should be stopped. This will only encourage Muslim men who are trying to make certain that women from Muslim nations will not and cannot integrate into Western society, and make it that much easier to force them to standards here in Canada, that should not apply even in the Islamic Magreb."

Al-Shabaab executes teenaged girls in Somalia

Al-Shabaab, a radical Islamic terrorist organization affiliated with al-Qaeda, announced that they publicly executed two teenage girls whom they accused of being spies for the Somali government.


The terrorists, who espouse Shariah law, are responsible for the deaths of government officials, police officers and civilians they deem their enemies.


In a statement released by a ranking member of Al-Shabaab, the group claims that "those two girls were evil and they were spies for the enemy, but the mujahedeen caught them and after investigation, they admitted their crime, so they have been executed."


Only one of the teenagers was identified by name in a press release -- 16-year old Ayan Mohamed Jama.


A U.S. intelligence analyst tells the Law Enforcement Examiner that the teens were blindfolded, tied to a tree, and shot by a firing squad in front of men, women and children in the town of Beledweyne.


Friends and neighborhood of the teenaged girls denied they were spies or in any way a threat to the terrorists who run a de facto local government.


There has been a fierce battle between Somali government forces and Al-Shabaab with the waging an all-out war against Somalia's government in an effort to impose a stricter form of Islamic law, or Shariah. The group's reign of terror includes public beheadings and stonings.


In one terrorist attack in Mogadishu, Al-Shabaab terrorists killed and injured innocent civilians at a graduation ceremony for Somali medical students. The attack also resulted in the deaths of the Ministers of Health, Higher Education and Education of the Somali Transitional Federal Government.


"This was a criminal attack on people dedicated to building a peaceful, stable and prosperous future for the people of Somalia," United Nations officials said in their condemnation statement.


"While the UN should be expected to condemn such barbarism, calling it a 'criminal act' is wrongheaded and treats an act of war as if it were a bank robbery," said former Marine intelligence officer and New York police detective Sid Francks.


Unfortunately, Somalia has not had even a facsimile of a central government since 1991, and its police and military are fearful when confronted with groups such as Al-Shabaab.


Also, Somalia's police spokesman, Dhexe Abdullahi Hassan is quoted as saying that al-Qaeda was the prime suspect in a smuggling operation involving counterfeit notes after international financial institutions starved the terrorist group of all money supplies, according to a report obtained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police's Terrorism Committee

Burka rage causes French woman to rip face veil off a muslim woman

I certainly do not condone this type of attack or rage. That said, if women did not wear face veils or burkas in the first place then this would not have occurred. There is nothing uplifting or sexy about either of these garments. Both are symbols of oppression of women and the persecution they must live with their entire lives under islam. The victim has fled the country vowing never to return. That is the best outcome for both of these women. Banning all muslim immigration to any and all European countries is long overdue. 'Burka rage' teacher faces jail in France after ripping off Muslim woman's face veil

A retired teacher is facing three years in prison for ripping off a Muslim’s face veil in the world’s first known case of ‘burka rage’.

Jeanne Ruby, 63, appeared before the Paris Correctional Court to defend her attack on Shaika al-Suwaidi, 26, who is originally from the United Arab Emirates.


The incident happened in February when both women were out shopping in an upmarket suburb of the French capital, with Ruby claiming: ‘For me the wearing of the veil is an aggressive act, there is no burka in my country.’

The case comes at an extremely sensitive time as France has just banned the burka and the niqab following an impassioned public debate more than two years.


Ruby, who is accused of aggravated violence, is said to have ‘lost control’ when she saw Ms al-Suwaidi choosing furniture in a department store. I knew I would crack one day,’ said Ruby. ‘This whole saga of the burka was really getting to me.’


Speaking in English to her victim, the retired teacher, who taught in Morocco and Saudi Arabia, said: ‘I told her to take off the veil she had on her face. I grabbed and pulled it.


‘To me wearing a full veil is an attack on being a woman. As a woman, I felt attacked.’


A few minutes later she is said to have started hitting al-Suwaidi, who refused to take her veil off. ‘I went over to her and tore her veil,’ said the defendant in a police report. ‘We came to blows. I was very upset.’


After allegedly slapping Ms al-Suwaidi, Ruby bit her hand before successfully removing the veil, shouting: ‘Now I can see your face.’ Security guards had to separate the women, with one describing the fight as being motivated by ‘pure burka rage’.


Ms al-Suwaidi suffered cuts and bruises and had to take two days off work. She was so upset that she has now left France and returned to the Emirates, and will not attend today’s court case.


Ruby's defence for the attack was that ‘we do not wear the burka in my country’ but in fact no ban was in place in February.


Even if it was, it would not be up to people to make citizen’s arrests, said a legal source involved in the case. Ruby said: ‘I’ve taught in countries like Morocco and Saudi Arabia and know how these women walk three paces behind their husbands.


‘When I saw a burka in a Paris shop I thought it was very provocative. I did not hit or use any violence against this woman. I just wanted to pull her burqa off. I know I shouldn’t have got angry, but I lost it.’


Lotfi Ouled Ben Hafsia, for al-Suwaidi, said his client had been living in Paris for three years, but would never return because of the ‘racist attack’.


It is now a criminal offence to wear a burka in France, with woman facing fines and even a prison sentence when the law is enforced in six months time.

I have absolutely no doubts that I am an islamophobe. None whatsoever. I am a counter jihadist and will be until I am called home. It should cure whatever warm and fuzzy feelings you might have about islam and many muslims. If you still you still have those warm and fuzzy feelings about islam after reading this perhaps you will be more at home at a site like the Daily Kos or Huffy Po report. Take the Acid Test for Islamophobia

A favorite comeback for someone who is critical of Islam is—you are Islamophobic. Never mind that the term phobic means an irrational fear. Really, the charge is that you are irrational AND a bigot. A bigot is immoral and a hater and has no possible reason for their views.

There is a cure for bigotry. If you are a bigot, learning about the subject of bigotry can cure it. Clint Eastwood’s character in Grand Torino started out as a bigot about the Hmong Vietnamese who moved in next door. As he got to know them, he changed and gave the ultimate sacrifice of his life to help them. The cure for his bigotry was getting to know more about his neighbors, the Hmong.

Notice this does not say that as you get to know them, you will always like them better. There are people and groups that the more you know them, the less you like them. As you see what they do and how they think, you may actually start to fear them. Not being a bigot doesn’t mean that you love everybody and what they do. In the sixties, the Black Panthers had a revolutionary, “stick it to the man”, image that was cool. However, the more you got to know them and see what they did, you learned that the Panthers were serious racist thugs and dangerous to society. So just because someone is “oppressed” does not mean that they are decent people.

Want to see if you are an Islamophobe? Let’s presume that you don’t like Islamic doctrine, Sharia law as an example, and would like to take the test to see if you are a bigot. Remember, if you are a bigot, then the more you get to know Islam, the better you will feel.

Here are some concepts from Islamic doctrine, so that you can understand it better. Islam says that non-Muslims are Kafirs. Allah hates Kafirs and He even plots against them. Kafirs can be tortured, deceived, enslaved, crucified, raped and robbed. How important are Kafirs to Islam? Islam has three sacred texts: Koran, Sira (life of Mohammed) and Hadith (his traditions). Look at how much of Islam is devoted to the Kafir:

If the Kafir is “bad”, then there is a lot of “bad”. How does your cultural sensitivity feel now? Feel any closer to Islam, any less afraid?

Maybe, you need a little more exposure to become warmer towards Islam. Jihad should cure your ills. Isn’t the jihad thing overblown? There are only a few verses about that, aren’t there? Look at the statistics:

Now that you are learning more about Islam, are your fears subsiding?

Still afraid? Every Muslim will tell you that Islam was the first ideology to give women their rights. If we take everything that is written about women in the Koran and rank it according to whether the woman is held in high status, equal status and lower status, we find:

How does the women’s issue strike you? Are you feeling more simpatico? Less Islamophobic?

So, you took the Islamophobia test. Now that you know Islam better, do you now understand and realize that your Islamophobia was bigoted hatred?

Surely, this test is biased. There must be some goodness in Islam for Kafirs. If you go through the Koran and pick out every single verse that offers good words, doesn’t that prove that Islam is good?

If every single verse that seems to promise good to Kafirs is counted up, then 2.6% of the verses offer good to Kafirs. But, wait! There is that contradiction and abrogation contradiction principle. The Koran is filled with verses that contradict each other and in every case of good verses, the 2.6%, are cancelled or abrogated, by later verses. The net result is 0%, nothing, is unmitigated good in the Koran for the Kafir.

You have finished the Islamophobe Test. Feel closer to Islam? Or more afraid? If you feel closer and warmer about Islam, then you were Islamophobic, but now you are cured. If not, then your fears are real, not a phobia. Islam is like the Black Panthers—the more you know, the less you like and the more you are afraid.

How about adultery within Islam?

There is nothing fair about how Islam, the Qur'an, Hadith say about adultery. The cards are stacked against women and it is not just with adultery but all of shariah law and Islam that is extremely unfair to women. Women are mere possesions for the males of Islam, often times reduced to slaves and third class people, at best. A woman's word is not equal to man's nor is she worth as much, or get as much in any divorce settlement. This is the latest from Traveler.

ADULTERY AND ISLAM

♦ Under Islamic law, rape can only be proven if the rapist confesses or if there are four male witnesses. Women who allege rape, without the benefit of the act having been witnessed by four men who subsequently develop a conscience, are actually confessing to having sex. If they or the accused happens to be married, then it is considered to be adultery.

♦ The Qur'an:

Qur'an (2:282) - Establishes that a woman's testimony is worth only half that of a man's in court (there is no "he said/she said" gridlock in Islam).

Qur'an (24:4) - "And those who accuse free women then do not bring four witnesses (to adultery), flog them..."

Qur'an (24:13) - "Why did they not bring four witnesses of it? But as they have not brought witnesses they are liars before Allah."

♦ From the Hadith:

Bukhari (5:59:462) - The background for the Qur'anic requirement of four witnesses to adultery. Muhammad's favorite wife, Aisha, was accused of cheating [on her polygamous husband]. Three witnesses corroborated the event, but Muhammad did not want to believe it, and so established the arbitrary rule that four witnesses are required.

♦ Rape is virtually impossible to prove under Islamic law (Sharia) and even in more moderate countries. If the man claims that the act was consensual sex, there is very little that the woman can do to refute this. Islam places the burden of avoiding sexual encounters of any sort on the woman.
♦ A few of the many many cases of Sharia in action, applied to adultery.

♦ Afghanistan: (March 1996) Some strict interpretations of Islamic law calls for the death penalty for any woman found in the company of a man other than a close family member. Sexual activity is assumed to have happened.

A woman, Jamila, was found guilty of trying to leave the country with such a man. She was caught and stoned to death on 28th March 1996

♦ Afghanistan: (November 2006): Under the Taliban regime, a woman, Nurbibi, 40, and a man Turylai, 38, were stoned to death in a public assembly using palm-sized stones. They were found guilty of non-marital sex.

Turylai was dead within ten minutes, but Nurbibi had to be finished off by dropping a large rock on her head.

Mr. Wali, head of the Office for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prohibition of Vice expressed satisfaction with the execution: "...I am very happy, because it means that the rule of Islam is being implemented." These executions (as well as hand amputations for convicted thieves) are regarded as religious occasions and are not normally viewed by non-Muslims.

♦ United Arab Emirates: (February 2000): Kartini Karim, an unmarried citizen of Indonesia, was working as a housemaid in the United Arab Emirates when her pregnancy was detected. She and a man from of India were charged with adultery.

She was convicted; he fled the country before he could be arrested. She was placed on trial without a lawyer or a translator, "...alone and equipped with barely any word of the local language,". She was not told that she had a right to communicate with her embassy. Her embassy was not informed in advance of the trial.

She was sentenced to death by stoning. The Indonesian government hired a lawyer and translator to appeal her case. On APR-25 2000, the appeals court reduced her sentence to one year in prison, followed by deportation.

♦ United Arab Emirates: (August 2000): A woman, "Amina Abdullahi is sentenced to 100 lashes in the state of Zamfara for having premarital sex."

♦ United Arab Emirates: (November 2000): Attine Tanko, 18, is found guilty of having pre-marital sex out of wedlock. She was discovered to be pregnant. Her sentence of 100 lashes was deferred for up to two years after the birth, so that she could breastfeed her baby. Her boyfriend, 23, was flogged 100 times and given jail time.

♦ Nigeria: (September 2001): A teenage single mother, Bariya Magazu claimed at trial that she was raped by three men. The court assumed that she was guilty, because she could not prove that her father pressured her to engage in sexual activity with the men.

She was found guilty of two offenses: having pre-marital sex, and bringing false charges against the men that she claimed were responsible. Her sentence was 180 lashes.

♦ Nigeria: (October 2001): Safiya Hussaini, a 30-year-old pregnant woman, had asked a Sharia court in Sokoto state to force a man that she alleged had raped her, to pay for her daughter's naming ceremony. The court refused, and then charged her with engaging in sexual intercourse outside of marriage.

She was sentenced to be stoned to death. The man that she allegedly had sex with was freed by the court for lack of evidence.

She had not been given any legal representation, and the court had failed to establish the basic facts of the case.

♦ Sudan: (December 2001): An 18 year-old pregnant woman, Alfa Akok, was accused by her husband of adultery. She claimed that she had been raped.
The man co-accused with Abok was not tried due to lack of evidence.

In Sudan, a married person found guilty of adultery is executed by stoning; an unmarried person receives 100 lashes. She had no lawyer, and was unaware of her rights during the trial.

The Court of Appeal in Southern Darfur overturned the death sentence and sent the case back to the lawyer court which set punishment at 75 lashes. By immediately executing the sentence, she was denied her right to obtain legal advice and/or an launch an appeal prior to the beating.

♦Nigeria: (March 2002): Safiya Hussaini, 33, was convicted of adultery. She was sentenced to be buried up to her neck in sand and to be stoned to death. However, her sentence was deferred until her 13-month-old daughter has finished nursing.

She appealed her conviction. Her cousin, a Mr. Abubakar allegedly confessed to police that he had sex with her three times. However, the judge dismissed the testimony of the three policemen who witnessed Abubakar's confession, because a minimum of four witnesses are required under Sharia law.

Hussaini's lawyers claimed that she also could not be convicted because of the four witness rule. The prosecution argued that witnesses were not required in her case; adultery had obviously taken place because she had become pregnant.

Mansur Ibrahim Said, Dean of the Law Faculty at Dakar University in Sokoto said that adultery is "an abomination abhorred by God and society because of the example it gives and because it creates bastards to be rejected by society."

The appeals court later reversed the lower court conviction. They ruled that the alleged act had taken place before Sharia law was activated in the province, and adultery became a criminal offence.

There was strong international interest in her case. The European Union, the parliament of Italy and many non-governmental organizations successfully appealed for Safiya to be spared.

♦ Nigeria: (March 2002): A woman, Amina Kurami, from village of Kurami was sentenced to death for adultery. The sentence was delayed for eight months until she has finished breast feeding her infant.

She appealed the conviction, on the basis that the offence occurred before Sharia law came into effect. The appeal was rejected by the Islamic High Court. Dozens of spectators cheered and shouted "God is great".
Her case was eventually dismissed.

♦ Nigeria: (April 2002): A 19 year old woman, Adama Unusua was sentenced to 100 lashes court, for engaging in sexual intercourse with her fiancé. She was pregnant at the time of the trial.

♦Nigeria: (June 2002): A man, Yunusa Chiwaya was convicted of adultery and was sentenced to be stoned to death.

He had confessed to engaging in sexual activities with his neighbor's wife, and had declined multiple opportunities to withdraw his confession.

The woman in the case was cleared after she swore on the Qur'an that she had been hypnotized before she left home with him.

♦ Pakistan: (Present Day).In the overflowing womens prisons, 75-80 percent of the women are there for life for the crime of..being raped !!
