Jihad Watch has taken on an article written by David Kilpatrick in the New York Times to the effect that Islam is no more violent than any other religion. I don't need to add much to the discussion since JW pretty much covers it.

As JW points out, Kilpatrick opens his piece by killing any counter argument. He does this by stating that "The majority of the scholars and the faithful say that Islam is no more violent than other religions." OK. Case closed


That reminds me of Al Gore's statement that "the debate is settled" on Global Warming (which is now called Climate Change to account for those cold spells that come around every winter).

It also reminds me of those ads that state that, "a recent study suggests that brushing your teeth every day with Colgate will prevent your teeth from falling out."

But there is more. Kilpatrick brings in a political science professor from UC Berkeley named M. Steven Fish. He did a study and wrote a book.

“Is Islam violent? I would say absolutely not,” Mr. Fish said in an interview. “There is very little empirical evidence that Islam is violent.”

I suggest Professor Fish pick up a newspaper or turn on the news. Kilpatrick might do the same. He should find one within easy reach.

A Traitor in the White House? If the shoe fits.......

The case made by Pat Boone for exoneration of Benedict Arnold.

Well, not quite but perhaps an apology is in order to Mr. Arnold?

Yes, that Benedict Arnold. Yes, from this Pat Boone.

Benedict Arnold was a traitor and had deep sentiments for the crown and England. He felt 'under appreciated' by his countrymen here. Benedict Arnold wanted revenge and payback.

Say what you might about Pat Boone but I like the man. Not wild about his music but he is a man who can stake out a position and defend it quite well. He can make a case, a 'hypothetical one' like this one and well you can read the post and decide for yourself. I think Pat Boone has done a fine job of connecting the dots and calling Obama out for what he is, a TRAITOR.

I have said that many times before but I do not have the career or carry the weight of Pat Boone. Trust me, you DO NOT want to hear me sing and I have about as much rhythm as a 4x4 post. Barack Obama is a traitor and he is a a manufactured 'man'. He is a charlatan of the worst kind. PatriotUSA

A Traitor in the White House? If the shoe fits

“The traitor rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. 

The traitor is the plague.”

What is treason? Good old Webster’s Dictionary describes it simply as “betrayal of one’s country to an enemy.” And traitor as “one who betrays one’s country, cause, friends, etc.”

I’ve recently read a biography of Benedict Arnold, American history’s most notorious traitor. Though he was beneficiary of our young country’s opportunities and honors, rising through the military to the rank of major general, historians record he was arrogant and impatient with civilian deliberateness and legislative oversight. He courted the favor of British loyalists, angering the patriots – and exhibited such a love and need for money that he lined his pockets with questionable side ventures.

He decided he wasn’t sufficiently appreciated by his fellows and formulated a treasonous plan to crush the Revolution and revenge himself on Congress. When, amazingly, he was given the command of West Point, he plotted with British Gen. Clinton to surrender the fort for 20,000 pounds! The plot was discovered, and Arnold barely managed to escape to England, where he lived out his life as a social outcast … and infamous traitor.

Is it remotely possible such a terrible thing could happen in America today? What would one of our leaders have to do to be accused of treason?

Well, let’s create a purely hypothetical scenario.

Suppose America elects a charismatic young president who makes all kinds of brave promises and sweeps into the White House. This young man not only has little political or governmental experience, but none at all in business or administration. Curiously, his upbringing is never closely examined or evaluated; it’s just assumed that anybody elected president must love America – but this young man had been trained by parents and others to consider this country a colonial oppressor and unfit to be a world leader! In college, by his own autobiographical account, he sought out Marxist professors, in not one but three colleges.

Once elected, he uses his newfound executive authority to seal off all his early school, passport and travel records, lest his true intents be uncovered. He eventually has a fake “copy of a birth certificate” created and exhibited on the White House website, complete with glaring errors that betray its falsehood. Somehow Congress seems mesmerized and intimidated from confronting him, so he creates a phalanx of legislative “czars” to regulate and virtually stifle all business and energy progress, and these “czars” – among them known Muslim and Marxist and homosexual activists – report not to Congress but directly to him!

Having declared that he considered the U.S. Constitution a “flawed” document, he proceeds as president to ride roughshod over the document and its establishment of three separate and equal branches of our government, declaring openly if Congress won’t give him what he wants, he “has a phone and a pen” and will make executive decisions and even change laws he has crammed through the legislature, determined to effectively dismantle the two-party system and the separation-of-powers concept.

Now, theoretically, many might call all this treason. But wait.

Suppose that this increasingly arrogant young man, having become commander in chief of the military, begins to quietly fire and replace full admirals and generals who object to his decisions to withdraw from territories gained by the lives of 4,000 brave young Americans, and to issue more orders that will weaken the whole defense system and cost more young American lives. Treason? Wait …

Suppose this pompous man also appoints an attorney general who announces with him that they not only will enable hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens to invade the country – but that they will not enforce the immigration laws themselves! This, knowing that among those undocumented aliens there would certainly be trained enemies of the United States, whose sole purpose for crossing our borders is to destroy the country he had learned to despise as a young man. And what if this attorney general concocts a scheme to furnish thousands of weapons to Mexican drug cartels and potential terrorists? Treason? The case is building.

Now suppose that this Manchurian (or Indonesian) Candidate, never having any business or economic experience, but knowing that one vital reason for America’s world dominance is its giant economy, forces through a weak and compliant Congress decisions that add trillions of dollars of unpayable, inexcusable debt, piling up three times more debt on American taxpayers and businesses than all past presidents combined! In this unthinkable scenario, he is systematically crippling, bankrupting and discrediting his country. And in all of the this, he’s following the plan he had learned from a famous Communist Party organizer.

Now, in this imagined story, we can add the deliberate dividing of the citizens along racial, economic and political lines. We can add his awarding billions of dollars of speculative contracts to party donors and even family friends. We can toss in his leaving his command post while a U.S. ambassador and other Americans are under fire and eventually dying … to pack his bags and fly to Las Vegas for a political fundraiser. A definite Benedict Arnold comparison.

And, to leave no doubt whatsoever, while our nation is slipping into all-out war against inhuman killers who behead innocent people, this pretender in chief makes the personal decision to release known murderers from a military prison and to send them back to the Mideast, all expenses paid and with no penalty for their crimes, to supposedly “rehab” – and then certainly reassume leadership positions with our murderous enemies. No consultation with, or consent from, Congress. Just his own decision, knowing brave young Americans will face these beasts again in a battle to the death. If there’s a clearer definition of treason, I can’t think of it.

All this is theoretical, of course – but I think if such an interloper and subversive impostor were to somehow arise and become our president, if he weren’t eventually exposed, prosecuted and impeached, America should apologize to Benedict Arnold.  

And his picture should be posted in Webster’s alongside the words “treason” and “traitor.”

The Sleepwalkers-American Digest

To the point that an icy cold ran down my back as I read this. Not that it is so shocking but that it is and is becoming TRUTH. No matter that myself and so many others have witnessed this unfolding and  been active against this for years. Many of us even for much longer. Under the guise of what the Treehouse has come to call Decepticons.

I will take this a bit further and state that the decepticons have been around for much longer than many realize. Maybe the father of the decepticons was Woodrow Wilson. Just my thought and Wilson laid the foundation for damages to this country that have been brought upon us today. One can argue the decepticons might go back to the Founding Fathers. Maybe, maybe not. The damages waged upon this nation have come from many of the past administrations. PatriotUSA

 The Sleepwalkers

The enemy told the Sleepwalkers, in escalating words and deeds across decades, that his goal was to convert and kill them all. They heard these promises only as faint susurrations saying he simply wanted to be left alone with his "peaceful" god. He offered them death by fire and decapitation and they were lulled and responded with "What is wrong with peace, love and understanding?"

This bankrupt mantra or one of its infinite variations was repeated and repeated from multiple sources without and within the mass of the sleepwalkers until many actually began to believe its soothing promise and drift back into their trance of "if only..." and "What can we give them to make them leave us alone?" It was, after all, a drugged sleep. 

Meanwhile, the enemy's preparations for the sacrifice of one of the Sleepwalkers' cities continued with only minimal disruption and delay. At home, a quisling leadership elected on "hope and change" did all it could to give the enemy hope that it could change the nation into a nation enslaved with shariah from coast to coast, and yet remained strangely invulnerable to patriots' efforts at replacement or blunt removal. Instead of watchmen alerted at home, all eyes were trained abroad, Europe or the middle-east, since few Sleepwalkers could muster the courage to look about them. All believed that the sacrifice would happen, but most could not bear to contemplate it even as a few traitors actively looked forward to it as final proof of the corruption of the nation that had nurtured in them the freedom to despise it.

To aid in this they worked actively to dissolve whatever border security was left.

The instruments of war that would be used to kill the city were either already hidden on the Sleepwalkers' shores or stored within one of the surviving nations hostile to the Sleepwalkers' existence awaiting transhipment to the target. 

The Sleepwalkers' enemies' programs to purchase or manufacture other weapons of mass destruction continued around the globe at an ever faster pace, hidden behind a screen of the usual international commissions and a bodyguard of fresh denials heaped on the mountain of yesterday's lies.

The Sleepwalkers' enemies' dispersed cells of suicidal agents continued to thrive within our cities, protected and sheltered by their relatives and fellow travelers that the Sleepwalkers had graciously assumed to be "moderate," even loyal. They moved among us, clad in their false histories, secure in the knowledge that our own institutionalized rules of decency decreed that having the appearance of a suspect group was the surest protection against being investigated as an enemy.

The Sleepwalkers' enemies' efforts to recruit those among them that hated them increased as his chief organizing tool, his "religion," was welcomed into the Sleepwalkers' prisons, and allowed to flourish by those assigned to administer the prisons as a means of keeping those prisons quiet. And it did, as any place which men undertake the serious study and planning of wholesale death becomes quiet.

Outside of those prisons the enemies recruitment and organizational centers were draped in the vestments of "places of worship" and allowed to thrive. Many were even funded by the Sleepwalkers' own government. In all it was a nightmare in which many rolled in the long, long night before the light of an incinerated city with all the men and women and children had been converted to human torches and crisp statues of ash glowed in a horrible dawn. The Sleepwalkers did not know the name of the nightmare's city but they would learn it in that dawn.

All these things they knew. All these things they saw. They did not awaken the Sleepwalkers. That was someplace later.

Cartoons? Where is the Arab Media?

I don't often agree with Carl Bernstein of Watergate fame, but today he raised a great point on Brooke Baldwin's show on CNN. In saying that he would not have published the Mohammad cartoons before the Paris attack, he now says that the Western media should, indeed, publish them as a sign of solidarity with  the victims and with the idea of a free press.

More importantly, Bernstein asked, "What about the Arab media?" In other words, what are they doing? That's a great question. I can help, Carl.

First of all, let's assume that virtually all the Arab media outlets are controlled to one extent or another by their respective governments. Al Jazeera today is running the headline that France's Muslims fear an Islamophobic backlash. They, of course, add that they (Al Jazeera)  condemn the Paris attack and insist it has nothing to do with Islam. In another article, they state that the attack is a "windfall for the extreme right parties" (like Front National).

Duly noted.

We should also note how even mainstream Arab media treats the Jews with attacks that bring to mind Julius Streicher's Der Stuermer, cartoon caricatures and all.

In addition, the Arab media still gives credence to the old Russian tsarist forgery, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, even though it has been discredited for most of the 20th century and up to today. Somebody in the Middle East never got the memo. Palestinian media, both in the West Bank and Gaza, is full of anti-Jewish diatribes. Even Mickey Mouse wants to kill the Jews (hat tip Memri).


And today, the Investigative Project on Terrorism is running this piece about the Palestinian media celebrating the deadly attack on a Jerusalem synagogue last month.

So there is your answer, Carl. But you are an investigative journalist. Don't ask. Get out there and run this stuff down for yourself. Here is your start. In fact, I could be your next Deep Throat.

Equal time: A Forrmer Policeman Responds

Stolen from WRSA and this is an excellent read.

I agree with what this LEO is saying and for his courage in speaking out against what is very wrong in the the United States, within many law enforcement agencies and beyond. He is still active in law enforcement and I wish him well.

I was one of those drunks stopped and a couple times I was given a ride home by the cops. Times have drastically changed. We have allowed this to happen over time. I do not blame him for bailing out of Southern Falikornia for Colorado.

I could question why he is still in law enforcement but I refuse to do so. I will keep those thoughts to myself. When the SHTF, I hope there are many more, the vast majority of LEO's who think like this guy does and hopefully refuses to attack those who will be standing up against tyranny. I know where I will be standing or operating from.

Equal Time: A Former Policeman Responds

I was in the Army’s 82nd Airborne from 1974-1978. I joined the NRA while I was in the Army and eventually became a “Life” member. When I got out of the military I applied to several law enforcement agencies in Southern California before I got hired. The oath to preserve and defend the Constitution against ALL enemies was exactly the same one that I took in the military. My Peace Officer career started in 1979 and ran until 2006 when we moved out of Kalifornia to rural Colorado.

When I started at the PD if you stopped a drunk driver, you could call a cab and send the drunk home to sleep it off. You did not have to arrest. Along comes “Mothers Against Drunk Drivers” (MADD) who agitate and get the legislature to lower the legal limits and change the law taking away any discretion about arresting or not. The same thing happened with Disturbance of the Peace calls. It used to be you had discretion over having to take someone to jail. Eventually the legislatures changed the laws – discretion gone, if you get called, someone has to go to jail. The people we elect are taking away all of law enforcement’s discretion.

In Kalifornia it is illegal for most people to carry a loaded gun in the car. I cannot even count how many doctors, nurses, lawyers etc etc that had loaded guns in the car that I sent on their way with just a warning to be careful. The only people I ever enforced that law on were gang members or other criminals.

Early in the 90’s we had the Rodney King riots where a lot of people got hurt and property destroyed. A few years later we have a very big bank robbery. Google the “North Hollywood Bank Shootout” (Feb 28th, 1997) and watch the videos. Two heavily armed guys with automatic weapons robbed a bank and were spraying bullets everywhere. Wounded cops, wounded civilians, the cops bullets from handguns had no effect on the crooks’ body armor. The LAPD has to hit B&B Guns to get some rifles to shoot back. That robbery changed the mindset of a lot of cops. We started issuing AR’s to every patrol unit. Until that time, my agency did not even have a SWAT team.

At that time I was a police sergeant and I started seeing a lot of changes in attitudes & tactics. The city where I worked, started up Code Enforcement and COPPs units. People started to get arrested or cited for every little infraction. For example, you had to have a license to sell ice cream from a cart on city sidewalks. If you didn’t have the license your cart was confiscated and all your ice cream was thrown in the trash. To me, it was a criminal protection racket. I tried continually to explain to people the difference between the “Spirit of the Law” versus the “Letter of the Law”. To tell my officers to treat people the way you would want your parents, wife, sister, brother etc. treated if they were stopped…Some got it, most didn’t.

I now work for a rural Sheriff’s Office as a civilian admin guy. Much more low key than Southern Kalifornia. This year the S.O. got an MRAP, ugh. Now we are getting a new Sheriff who is much more a “Letter of the Law” kinda guy than his predecessor. Elected by a majority of the voters. I am very concerned. But if I quit I will have even less of a voice to influence things the right way.

I share your concerns about the militarization of our Peace Officers. It is wrong. Obola said he wanted a civilian police force every bit as strong as our military and he is almost there. Though, obviously it started long before Obola. We let it happen, both law enforcement and the public. We elected progressives who want to protect us from ourselves. We elected the idiots that passed the NDAA, that authorized the military to give its equipment to local law enforcement agencies. We elect the state reps and governors that strip discretion from the peace officers. We elect the County Commissioners & City Council peeps that pass these ordinances requiring permits and fees for everything under the sun. We (all of us) did not give enough of a shit to stop this back when it started. We all traded essential liberty for questionable security, by either doing nothing or by going along to get along.

Most of the people I talk to today are totally clueless about what is going on in this country at all levels. I would also say that most police officers/deputies want to do the right thing. They live here. Their children go to school with your kids, their spouses work with you. The cops today represent the society they come from…A majority of people in this country want their police well armed and ruthless in arresting “criminals” not realizing that John Law will be coming for them one day for violating some ordinance or another. They think that the police officer they gave this power to, will leave them in peace, until they don’t. We are way too far down this rabbit hole.

"I am Charlie"

Above is the logo for Charlie Hebdo, the French publication that was attacked today in Paris. At least 12 people are dead including the editor and two police officers.  I have just placed this logo on my Fousesquawk home page. I call on all like-minded blogs to do the same in honor of the victims of this barbaric attack.

Charlie's homepage has this logo in multiple languages aside from French. Choose your language. It does not matter. What matters is that we send a message that free speech did not die today in Paris.

This Time Jonathan Gruber Puts it in Writing

MIT economic guru and Obamacare co-architect Jonathan Gruber is back, No, not on video, but this time in writing. Daily Caller has posted a policy brief by Gruber in October 2009 for the Center for Policy Research describing the Massachusetts health plan and comparing it to the idea about national health insurance-which he was working on at the time.  In this brief, he stated that when applied at the national level, it would be verrrry expensive. This is in stark contrast to what President Obama was telling everyone (that their premiums would go down).

New Year 2015

Wishing everyone a 'happy' new year, most blessed and prosperous 2015.

As I have been extremely scarce, I thought it best to bring everyone up to date and I am most pleased to say good riddance to 2014, as it was a very rough year for me.

First of all I want to thank  Gary, Nick, Bill,  for carrying the water here and being so faithful to this site with their posts.

I am recovering from shoulder surgery #10 which was done on December 18th. There no more surgeries after this one except a total joint replacement which is a last resort. I will be going through Vocational Rehabilitation assessments and once those are completed, Voc Rehab will be assisting me with job placement. I am also finishing up a divorce after 25 years of marriage to a woman whom I will no longer be able to refer to as a 'lady'. Her actions buried any hope of her ever being a lady again, at least in my eyes. I will be selling the property I am in currently residing in and may or may not opt to stay in Oregon. Just depends and I am considering a move out of the USA(long shot but who knows) as one of my possibilities. There has been a steep price paid and it is more in trust than anything else. As the shoulder heals, posts by me should pick up. Life goes on with us or without us.

I ain't dead yet.

Dawud Walid is the head of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations. Just recently, he went on Twitter to brag to his followers that he had been quoted in an article in the Final Call, which so happens to be the press organ of Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam. The article in question was one that proclaims that the real threat to America's security comes from right-wing white supremacists. Naturally, it quotes that boffo 2009 report from Janet Napolitano's DHS.

It is hardly surprising that Walid would subscribe to the notion outlined in the referenced article. He has said as much on numerous occasions when he is complaining about Islamophobia. I would have thought he was a bit smarter than to brag about being quoted by the Nation of Islam's press organ, however.
