The Obama Family Primer and Instruction book. Saul Alinsky's "Rules For Radicals."

I read this book in college in 1975 for one of my American Military History Classes. The effect on me was profound. I thank Mr. Alinsky for writing this book. It influenced me, made sure I would never resort to what he laid out in this book. I quit the Democratic party about three months later.

Saul Alinsky and his "community organizing" methods and philosophy have had a profound influence on the politics of the United States. Recent history would suggest that this influence is just short of catastrophic.

Alinsky's book, "Rules for Radicals," published in 1971 still has enormous effects on our country today. Hillary Clinton wrote her Wellesley College thesis on Alinsky, interviewing him personally for her research. After her graduation Alinsky offered her a job with his organization, which she refused to pursue other opportunities. President Obama worked for Alinsky organizations and taught seminars in Alinsky tactics and methodology during his "community organizing" period in Chicago. Michelle Obama echoed Alinsky’s words in her speech at the Democratic Convention.

Michelle Obama: “Barack stood up that day,” talking about a visit to Chicago neighborhoods, “and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about “The world as it is” and “The world as it should be…”

And, “All of us driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just won’t do – that we have an obligation to fight for the world as it should be.”

Saul Alinsky, “Rules for Radicals,” Chapter 2: “The means-and-ends moralists, constantly obsessed with the ethics of the means used by the Have-Nots against the Haves, should search themselves as to their real political position. In fact, they are passive-but real-allies of the Haves … The most unethical of all means is the non-use of any means … The standards of judgment must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be.“

Alinsky is making a strong case in this quote for the abandonment of morals and ethics as nothing but impediments to political success. For Alinsky, as for Michelle and Barack Hussein Obama, morality and ethics prevent the world from being what “it should be.” The Alinsky end game is likely a global utopia in which the “people” have “power.” Unfortunately, this utopianism has been the foundation of several über-violent movements of the last century which have resulted in over 100 million deaths. . . . Who were the majority of victims in latest homicide terrorist attack Pakistan? Children.

Not being Muslim or a follower of the ideology that masquerades as a religion, I will never understand how these 'people' can take the lives of so many innocent people on an almost daily basis. They have absolutely no regard for life, even those of children.

Pakistan volleyball bombing kills 88, fromUPI News: LAKI MARWAT, Pakistan, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- A suicide bomber killed scores of people Friday during a volleyball game in Laki Marwat, a city in northwest Pakistan, police said.

Police said the bomber drove a truck packed with explosives onto the sports field in Laki Marwat, The Times of London reported. The confirmed death toll climbed rapidly during the day with the Times putting it at 88. Most of the victims were children as young as 12, the newspaper said.

Anwer Khan, 18, told The Times he saw a black pick-up truck head toward the spectators. "A giant flame leaped toward the sky," Khan said. "There was bright light everywhere, just like a flash, and then a very huge blast shook everything. Two pellets hit my forehead and blood started flowing."

The city is near South Waziristan, where government forces have been battling Taliban militants, and the attack marked the latest retaliation for the Pakistani military's offensive. More than 500 people have been killed in bombings and other terrorist attacks since the campaign began in October.

"The locality has been a hub of militants. Locals set up a militia and expelled the militants from this area," police Chief Ayub Khan said. "This attack seems to be a reaction to their expulsion." Khan said some victims might still be trapped in houses that had collapsed in the crowded neighborhood around the sports field. The number of wounded was also high.

Clinton condemns Pakistan terrorist attack: WASHINGTON, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton Friday denounced the Pakistan terrorist attack that killed nearly 90 people, most of them children. "The United States strongly condemns today's terrorist attack on civilians in Pakistan, and we offer our condolences to the families of the victims and all the people of Pakistan," Clinton said.

Her comments came after a suicide bomber drove a truck filled with explosives onto a sports field during a volleyball came in Laki Marwat, a city in northwest Pakistan.

"The Pakistani people have seen terrorists target schools, markets, mosques and now a volleyball game," the secretary said. "The United States will continue to stand with the people of Pakistan in their efforts to chart their own future free from fear and intimidation, and will support their efforts to combat violent extremism and bolster democracy."

The attack occurred near the Waziristan tribal region, believed to be home to Taliban and al-Qaida training bases, where government forces have been battling Taliban militants.

This is just the start of Obamacare. Mayo Clinic dumps Medicare for over 3,000 patients.

With Medicare payments so low in some States
watch for this action to spread. The State I live
has had some of the worst Medicare reimbursments
to doctors for years. Very few doctors in our region
will take any new Medicare patients, some have had
to let long time patients go due to the poor Medicare
repayment structure.

The train wreck that is Obamacare just added another stop on its route.
Bloomberg is reporting on a Mayo Clinic announcement that the medical
care  provider will drop thousands of Medicare patients from its
Glendale Arizona clinic.


More than 3,000 patients eligible for Medicare, the government’s
largest health-insurance program, will be forced to pay cash if they
want to continue seeing their doctors at a Mayo family clinic in Glendale,
northwest of Phoenix, said Michael Yardley, a Mayo spokesman.
The decision, which Yardley called a two-year pilot project, won’t affect
other Mayo facilities in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota.

Obama in June cited the nonprofit Rochester, Minnesota-based Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for offering “the highest quality care at costs well below the national norm.”

The article goes on to explain that the Mayo’s nationwide operation lost $840 million in 2008 treating Medicare patients. All this before Obamacare takes hundreds of billions of dollars in Medicare funding.

The point is not that Medicare is underfunded per se, but rather that government intervention into the insurance and medical care markets has been disastrous. As each year passes, the magnitude of that disaster increases. Obama’s health care overhaul will accelerate the process exponentially.

Molotov Cocktail Found In Downtown Parking Garage CBS3 News hat tip Mike

The discovery was made at about 2:00 p.m. Wednesday inside a parking garage located at Callowhill and N. 16th Streets.Philadelphia Police are investigating the discovery of a Molotov cocktail along with anti-Israeli books inside a Center City parking garage.

The discovery was made at about 2:00 p.m. Wednesday inside a garage located at Callowhill and N. 16th Streets. The garage is in close proximity to the office of the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement offices.

Police initially responded to a report of a man sleeping next to a suspicious device in the office of the parking garage.

"Before the police arrived, the male left the property. He left behind a Molotov cocktail and literature," Captain Dennis Wilson explained.

Investigators said the man left behind anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian books and documentation, along with an Arabic dictionary.

"It looks like a Molotov cocktail, some sort of accelerant in a bottle, sealed top, with a fuse," Captain Wilson said.

Captain Wilson said they know exactly who the individual is because he left behind his laptop and his identification.

There were no injuries, police said.

So far, no arrests have been made. The incident remains under police investigation.

"A matter of respect." From Real Clear Politics via Roger Gardner of Radarsite

Roger Gardner of Radarsite passed away just a little
over two weeks ago. I posted a memorial in his honor
here on Patriot's Corner. Here is another article that
he did not write, but posetd on Radarsite back in 2007.


Respect has to earned. For me, you earn my
respect by showing me the following: honetsy,
integrity, respecting my opinion, my freedom
to voice it, even if we disagree. Your treat me
fairly and openly in business and personal
relationships. You listen to me and I will do
likewise. When problems arise as they always
do, we agree to solve them in a peaceful way
through open discourse, pathways to possible
solutions that will work for both all parties
concerned. I will respect your beliefs, religion
and ideology if you respect mine. That means
without forcing your beliefs upon me, my friends,
my country and telling me, us it is your way(Islam, Shariah law) or you will have to kill us, as instructed
by your holy book, the Koran. There is where we
have a problem, serious problems.


It is impossible for me and many others(our numbers
are growing, and fast) to respect Islam at all. The
number of heinious attacks committed under the
name of Islam since the 7th century is appalling.
Need a more current number? How about 14,618
acts of terror committed by Islamic terrorists since
September 11, 2001. Around the world over 95%
of all wars and conflicts are caused by the spread
of Islam. It is being spread through violence, death,
persecution, subjugation of women and minorities.
Through the use of Taqiya, which is the use of lies
and deceptions to spread Islam. Because of all of the
above(and there is alot more I could mention), we
cannot respect Islam or most Muslims. The violence
and militancy released upon the world through Islam
has perverted Islam's image so badly that the truth
will win out in the end. It may not be in my lifetime
but Islam will be defeated and kicked into the pits
of hell for all eternity. Much blood will be shed in
this escalating war, many lives will be lost. It will
be worth it because we do not have a choice but to
crush Islam. Once and for all. It is a matter of respect
and the Koran makes sure that respect will never be
given to us infidels, kaffirs as we are called. You
have underestimated us. That has been and will
always be your biggest error.

A Matter of Respect

Of all the negative characterizations that can be made of a person or a people, the worst is not necessarily that they are morally corrupt, or even that they are absolutely evil; one can be morally corrupt and absolutely evil yet still be powerful and respected. No, the worst fate of all is simply to be dismissed as irrelevant.

During the course of the last millennium, for whatever reasons, as the Western and the Far Eastern worlds progressed and their societies evolved and prospered, the Muslim world, in general, and the Middle East, in particular, stagnated and became increasingly irrelevant. Unfortunately, the considered Islamic response to this self-perceived inferiority was to become even more fanatical and intolerant in their religious zeal (Wahhabism), which of course only served to push them deeper into the backwaters of cultural and political irrelevancy -- "digging their way out of the well", as it has been so aptly put.

Then, with the advent of that much-maligned Twentieth-Century technology, soon they began to discover the undeniable efficacy of transatlantic terrorism.

In our present turbulent era, whatever else one may have to say about jihadist Islam, one can no longer call it irrelevant. And to a previously irrelevant people, the power of this nascent relevancy, even if it be an infamous relevancy, is enticing, perhaps even irresistible. Today, you may notice, when a Muslim speaks to an infidel about Islam you can catch a gleam of pride in his eye. He has become relevant again. We are learning how to pronounce his name and we are listening attentively to his views.

One can only hope that -- with a little courage and a lot of willpower on our part --this new found violent relevancy will be short-lived and soon find its way to that abandoned graveyard of mutant ideologies.

A US official explained this indifference to a US daily by saying that Obama was engaged in a difficult balancing act: "The aim of any sanctions is to force the Tehran government to the negotiating table, rather than to punish it for either its apparent push to develop a nuclear weapon or its treatment of its people."

In Tehran, this attitude is taken as a free hand to carry on as before, our Iranian sources report.

So Obama is engaged in a "difficult balancing act."
Does that mean he and his band of
Islamosympathizers are busy behind closed doors,
hiding what they are actually doing from the
American people? More transparency from the administration of hope and change? The one that promised to have everything out where we can see
what is going on, being done? They try to pass off
"indifference" as using sanctions that we all know
will be worthless in forcing Iran to do anything other
than what they have been doing all along.


What about our brave European allies? Willing to
commmit to nothing that has any teeth or backbone
as they always have been willing to do. I am in
complete agreement. It is business as usual between
the West and Iran. Pretty easy to do and justify
when the fox is in the hen house, passing the
chickens over the fence to his fellow foxes.

Iran's opposition leader Mir Hosein Mousavi. Is he in custody awaiting execution?

The first sign of life from opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi Friday, Jan. 1 came 48 hours after he went missing in the form of a pledge of willingness to sacrifice his life in defense of the people's rights. In a strong message to the Kaleme Web site, he said Iran was in a serious crisis, starting from the disputed June presidential election. He condemned the bloody crackdown waged by the authorities against protesters and said the thousands of political prisoners must be released. Mousavi quoted the revolution's founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini who said: "Kill us, we will become stronger."

Thursday, the Islamic regime marked the last day of the year by sending tanks, armored cars and Revolutionary Guards special units to take up positions in central Tehran, ready to crack down further on protesters after a week of demonstrations.

The anti-government reformists go in fear of their lives since Mousavi's nephew was shot dead Monday.

Hardline supreme ruler Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's spokesmen called this week for the execution of this and other opposition figures. Iran's state prosecutor warned them Thursday they would be put on trial if they failed to denounce anti-government protests.

Wednesday, as pro-government demonstrators shouted anti-opposition slogans in Tehran, Mousavi and a second prominent protest leader, Ayatollah Mehid Karroubi, were reported by government sources to have fled the city. Their families denied they were missing. Opposition sources said they had been picked by Revolutionary Guards and Intelligence Ministry agents.

Since then they have not been seen in public, prompting grave concerns about their fate. Mousavi's Internet statement does not prove he is free or alive, or offer a clue to the mystery of his whereabouts.

This mystery, coupled with the brutal suppression of unarmed demonstrators in Tehran, has not so far galvanized the United States, Britain, France or Germany into an all-out drive to find out what has happened to Iran's missing opposition leaders or take up the cause of the thousands of political prisoners facing savage abuse and death in Iran's jails.

Happy New Year! Thought I would start with some words from one of the Founding Fathers: Patrick Henry.

There are many historians, scholars that do
not include Patrick Henry as one of our Founding
Fathers. I disagree with this. Mr. Henry's gift of
eloquent speaking, his words are deeply etched
into our country's history. There are many of you
who may feel others are more deserving to be
included with Washington, Jefferson, Adams,
and Franklin. I do not post these words to start
an argument but to not forget one of the greatest speeches in our country's history.


"An appeal to the God of Hosts is all that is left us...

There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations;
and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle,
sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the
brave. Is life so dear, or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the
price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God! I know not what
course others may take but as for me, give me Liberty, or give me death!"

Of course,we all recognize Henry for his words of
"Give me Liberty or give me death." What is often
overlooked, usually sanitized out of our 'modern
day secular, humanist history books is the fact that
this Oration included great appeals and supplications
to God for the country he loved most, his America.
I will not copy the entire Oration here, but include
the passages where Henry appeals to God almighty.

"The question before the house is one of awful moment to
this country.For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than
a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the
responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep
back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense,
I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country,
and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which
I revere above all earthly kings.

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope.
We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the
song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of
wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we
disposed to be of the numbers of those who, having eyes, see not, and,
having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their
temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may
cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and
to provide for it."

The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears

they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at
the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not
what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty
or give me death!

"Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace--but there is no peace.
The war is actually begun!"





So as a new year, a new decade starts, where
will you stand? The future is frought with dangers
unlike any this nation has ever faced. Our enemies
abroad are knashing their teeth, striking us on
American soil. Here at home, those of us who dare
call ourselves Patriots, who believe in the right to
keep and use weapons, who are willing to live and
die for this country as founded by the words of the Constitution, are now branded "domestic right wing terrorists." So be it. It is we who answer the call to defend our nation. There are many in our current administration I can freely (for now) call traitors,
and haters of America.

This administration,which is calling "peace, peace,
peace,"are cowards and appeasers. Willing to bow
down to our enemies,who pass themselves off as
our friends and allies. Allies who talk of support
but give little or nothing compared to what the
United States has always been willing to give. Our
men and women in uniform have bled and died in
many foreign countries. This administration is more
than willing to turn tail, rather than realize that
our enemies cannot and will not be bought off.

It is not 1775. It is 2010. Patrick Henry's words
need to be heard again in Washington D.C.
Our enemies need to know that this country
will attack when and where it is needed for
our national security. Our enemies need to know
that we will retaliate if attacked, and we will not
wait for the Neville Chamberlain's of our time to
give or not give us, their approval. We are not a
perfect nation but this is good against evil, light
against darkness. For our children's sake, we
cannot fail.
