See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil - The Brass Monkeys




Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, US Army (Ret):  A very good friend from England sent me an e-mail over the holidays depicting the situation in jolly ole England in regards to the Brits’ submissiveness to the Muslim onslaught. He likened the British leadership - even down to the local “bobbies” - as the Brass Monkeys. Most of our political leaders and appointees are also best represented as the three brass monkeys: “See no evil, Hear no evil, and Speak no evil.” As an example, take the lame duck session of Congress that we just endured. We knew which way most of the Progressive Democrats would vote and they did as we expected. Senator Mitch McConnell gave a half-hearted gesture to fight the Democrats and to his credit the massive Omnibus Bill was voted down. Then all the other lame ducks jammed through legislation passed and most signed into to law by Obama. My question is - Where was the real fight from the Republicans even though many voted against much of the legislation? Where were the filibusters and the battle? Where was the real fight?





The RINOS (Republicans/Conservatives/Constitutionals in Name Only) are still alive and well in Washington and we know who you are. Many of you will make the list to be voted out of office in the next go-around. How could twelve Republicans vote for the START Treaty in a Lame Duck Congress?



Congress, you are continuing down the path of destroying America. Please realize that we do not need you in our lives as much as you think we do. You are “sucking the oxygen” out of America and its people with all this legislation. Enough is Enough!



We need term limits on elected officials more now than ever before. We need resignations of all those that are corrupt and inept. Judge for yourselves! My request would be to Senators and Congressmen; stay in your States that you represent nine out of twelve months of the year and spend no more than three months out of the year doing the people’s business in Washington. Make use of the electronic age. Three months out of the year will provide you sufficient time to legislate and vote on measures and issues with this thought in mind. “You will be a greater asset to the State that you represent and to the country to stay away from the addiction of Washington and the belief that you need to support a bloated Federal government (and out of control earmarks) as a lifeblood to your elected office.



You see, we do not need you other than to represent us, the People, and abide by and protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I would further suggest in the 2011 Congress that your first order of business is start eliminating and downsizing government organizations and budgets by a minimum of 25 percent. As well, start eliminating Federal Legislation that violates our Constitution and the “Sovereignty” of our States and Local authorities. Go to work to reduce government and spending NOW! Disallow and avoid all lobbyists and special interests groups. You work only for the People, all the people and no one else! Senators, start acting like the defenders of your sovereign states, not the national slate. Let’s get the 17th Amendment overturned.



This is a National Call to Action that begins now, the first week of January, 2011. The Declaration of Independence states:



“To secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness.”


We will not permit the current leaders in the White House and Halls of Congress to continue in their efforts to lead us down the road of Progressive Socialism and destruction of the Republic. The Patriotic Revolution that I forecasted well over a year ago is happening now.

We Constitutionalists face a battle that is unknown to our generations so we must be aggressive in our collective efforts to continue to change the tide. The Fate of the country is now in our hands and the plea from the majority of our citizens is to enforce the Constitution, severely limit the Federal Government and it’s out of control spending. There is a growing list of documented violations of the Constitution and their Oath of Office by current elected and appointed government officials. We cannot wait two more years…it must be NOW!

Lincoln issued this warning in his inaugural address, “Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government and form a new one. This is a most valuable and sacred right – a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world.”

We are a representative republic, not a democracy; and “rising up” means other than revolution by use of arms. The people must “rise up” (Stand Up) from the grass roots across this great country as we think of the greater good for this and future generations. We are limited in the peaceful transfer of power…resignation, elections, and impeachment. That is why the Patriotic Revolution must take place to ensure survival of the Union.

The oath is simple and reads:

“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

Sadly, we have seen them violate their oath. Fraud, lying, and corruption are rampant and some have engaged in treasonous activities, and they effectively thumb their noses at us and have sold you to the highest bidder.

The Articles of Confederation were replaced with the Constitution, which granted the federal government enough authority to cultivate, promote and secure the Blessings of Liberty. The balance of authority and individual liberty was understood. Power was confined to that which was enumerated in the Constitution with a certain and meaningful intent for check and balances.
Our Senators and Congressmen continue to seek and stay in office as a career. Power, money and benefits beyond the reach of most Americans are the basis now for many politicians and revolving door appointees staying in office. They must be termed out. With incumbency comes power. The party in the majority assigns power, so a long-term sitting representative can expect such power. A representative expected to stay in office in the 3rd Congress for approximately two years now expects 12 years, or 6 terms - so much for a “citizen government.” But this can be changed through grass roots organization and discourse. We must make it a local imperative and movement….of the People…by the People… and For the People.

One of my favorite poems reflects our destiny. "I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul." From the poem Invictus by English poet William Ernest Henley (1849–1903) that was penned in 1875. Yes, America, WE are the Masters of our Fate and the Captains of our Soul.” You are watching while Washington burns and self-destructs before our very eyes but now you are starting to awaken. The majority of the country and its citizens are seeing the light of our inept and incompetent leadership In Washington! The battle is on and we shall not retreat.

“We, the People” have had enough. Enough is Enough!

The Obama White House and identifiable Members of Congress are now on a progressive socialist and treasonous death march and are bankrupting the country beyond expectations. We have watched them violate their sacred oath of office. “We, the People” cannot solely depend on the results of the elections. It is now that many of these public servants (and you know who they are) must put the people and country interests above self-interest by resigning and stepping down immediately. A civil uprising is still not out of the question as “pain” grips the country more each day. Hopefully, our future will reflect the citizens changed the tide in a peaceful way. This means raising your voice now to your neighbors, family, co-workers, and friends in 20121. Be the Captains of your Souls.

I hope and pray for another George Washington to appear within the year and lead us.

Which side of the fence?

Have you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on? This isn’t just a re-post of an email we’ve all seen many times. Read past that part. I was sent this again today and for some reason I was inspired to write the post below the email. I hope you enjoy it!

If a Republican doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a Democrat doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a Republican doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrats demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a Republican reads this, he’ll forward it so his friends know how to vote in November!
A Democrat will close it because he’s “offended”.

We’ve all seen this come around in an email before, it’s been out there for a while.

I’m not a fence sitter, I’m not a middle of the road kind of guy. I have long felt that standing in the middle of the road only got you one thing, RUN OVER! I stand firmly planted on the RIGHT and I make no apology for doing so.

I am NOT a Republican. I have made that clear on many occasions, but I can agree with this original email because the Republican that is used in the above narrative is a real Republican, not some PC wannabe, or a reach across the aisle appeaser or, the most dreaded of all, a damned RINO.

Re-read the above and replace the word Republican with the word Conservative. Then you have me and MY stand on life in America.

One thing the above narrative doesn’t mention is ILLEGAL immigration.

Conservatives aren’t against immigration, they simply want to see the law of the land enforced.

Democrats welcome, and want to give amnesty to the law breakers.

I have stated many times, I am the grandson of an immigrant. I hold nothing against immigrants as long as they come to this nation LEGALLY, strive to become Americans, work, pay taxes, go about their lives like other Americans, raise their families to BE Americans, in every sense of the word, and make some sort of positive contribution to this nation.

The Democrats, on the other hand, welcome ALL to this land, no matter HOW they got here or to what purpose they came.

They are welcomed with promises of amnesty, a Social Security card, welfare, healthcare, food stamps, free education, (free to them) and myriad other government and social programs that are unavailable to the average American citizen.

Conservatives have respect for the laws of this land. We respect the Constitution and we KNOW that it was written by men far wiser than ourselves.

Democrats want to usurp the laws of the land and either rewrite or destroy the Constitution, the very fabric of America.

My family was not politically involved as I was growing up. I don’t think my mother or father ever voted. They were the type that felt that their vote didn’t count, didn’t matter and by God, they weren’t going to take the time to go out and waste a vote.

They were, of course, very wrong.

As a youngster, I wasn’t a political activist but I was politically motivated. I was what could best be described as a Dixiecrat, and although Truman had come and gone before I was old enough to become politically aware, I retained those same beliefs until Ronald Reagan came on the scene, and like most Dixiecrats, I became a Reagan Conservative.

After Mr. Reagan left office, the Reagan Conservatives were pretty much taken over by the GOP and their BIG TENT ideology and way of doing things. The GOP took a left turn in the eyes of many that had been Reagan Conservatives, and thus, the Conservative movement of today came to be. We didn’t leave the Democratic party or the GOP, they left US!

Conservative Americans must get their act together, and I mean NOW! Elections are rapidly approaching and the battle lines for the Senate and several Gubernatorial races have been drawn. There has yet to be a bonafide candidate emerge from the herd of RINOs expected to throw their hat in the 2012 presidential race, and yes, I DID say RINOs. ALL of the ones making noise right now are NOT Conservatives, no matter what they say, no matter how they say it and no matter how many moose they can skin and cook.

America either gets back on an even keel, kicks out the Dems and RINOs and returns to a true Conservative posture, or America is doomed.

Come sit on THIS side of the fence my friends. We CAN save this nation, it’s not too late, but we either start RIGHT NOW, or soon there will be nothing left to save.

I close by asking God to PLEASE, bless America once again!

The Tea party is for real. Let the liberals and RINOS keep laughing.

The Tea Party movement has been interesting and great to be part of. I have participated in two local rallies and am thinking about becoming more involved. We are at a time and place in our country's history that such a group can, will and is having a profound effect on the political landscape. Here is a great article found at Texas Fred's. The left, MSM and many RINOS are mocking and slamming the Tea Party. Their ignorance and arrogance will be answered this November. I am pretty sure this will be a 'shot heard around the world.'


The Rise of The TEA Party

In less than a year well over a thousand independent groups have sprung up around the nation to organize and demonstrate against the attempted government takeover of entire industries, high taxes, crippling debt, and the agenda of President Barack Obama. While many have ridiculed and guffawed about the “teabaggers,” these motivated and angry voters have very quickly shown the ability to raise millions of dollars, target specific political races, grab headlines and media exposure, stage large rallies, and mobilize volunteers.

The TEA (Taxed Enough Already) movement has been defined as populist, conservative, and libertarian in tone. It is a movement diverse in leadership and organization but united in its defense of liberty and the constitution. Its members are technologically savvy and able to mobilize in a moments notice. It is anti-elitist, anti-big government, and anti-big business. It is a revulsion and revolt against perceived corruption and politics as usual. And it the most recent public face of the Liberty Movement that resides on the right side of the ideological spectrum.

It is the winning combination of the common sense principles of less government, fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, state’s rights, and strong national security that is uniting the Tea Party into an effective force to be reckoned with. The mad as hell Teaparticans are the modern-day serfs smashing down the castle gate in an attempt to overthrow their feudal overlords. It is a popular uprising against the political establishment.

The members of the Tea Party first came to national attention when they crashed townhall meetings and held spontaneous rallies and protests around the nation. Couched in terms like “the second Revolution” and “the uprising,” while touting the imagery of the American Revolution, the Tea Party movement is really just a vast amalgamation of factions and independent groups acting outside the old party establishments and organized everywhere from facebook to the fellowship hall in the basement of the church on the corner. But they are mad as hell, and history shows that righteous indignation and the howling mob can definitely threaten entrenched interests and the ruling elite. Whether that energy and drive can be wielded effectively and wisely still remains to be seen.

Those who jeered and poked fun at the 9-12 and Tea party groups just a few months ago now greatly worry about these shock troops of an aroused and angry conservative movement that has dedicated itself to practicing “guerilla conservatism” and challenge the progressive ideology that seeks to regulate, tax, and control nearly every aspect of your daily life. The fainting, worshipful Obamanite crowds of a year ago have been replaced in the street by those who have had enough of a government, and governing party, that is out of control.

With their sea of signs and Revolutionary War flags this particular face of the larger Liberty Movement descended onto Washington D.C. in the hundreds of thousands this past summer (the Million Mob March). It was the announcement to a corrupt establishment that a movement, not a party, was here to contest the agenda, power, and business as usual of the entrenched rich and corrupt that infest both Wall Street and Capitol Hill. It is a movement equally disgusted with corporate bail outs and the socialization of medicine. And in many ways it is not just the Right against the Left, but the little guy against the big guy, the average American against the elite, and the lover of liberty against those who seek to replace it with authoritarian regulation.

The real influence of the Tea Party movement, despite all the media coverage, is yet to be seen. There is a major and nation wide effort to prepare to mount a conservative takeover of the Republican primary and caucus process. Few show up to these important but often neglected grassroots meetings and the fired up and angry rank and file are not just here to oppose the Democratic Party but to make serious inroads into the Republican Party. A third political party is not seen as a viable option at this particular point in time but the takeover of one of the existing ones is seen as possible.

The country club elite and RINO (Republicans In Name Only) who have held sway in the GOP and controlled much of the party apparatus and candidate selection process has no idea how to harness, control, or otherwise exert much pressure on this grassroots uprising against politics as usual. The conservative resurgence is happening despite the GOP, not because of it. Hopefully a rising tide will lift all boats. It was not the conservative movement that lost in November but perceived Bush Republicanism with its poor prosecution of two wars and own policies of big government and big spending. And the Republican presidential nominee was no conservative but in fact the embodiment of traditional party politics and seen as the poster boy of those who sacrifice principle for the sake of expediency and political power.

It will be interesting to see if the momentum fueled by the Tea Party has already peaked or if we are seeing the birth of a long-standing, broad-based, and truly influential phenomenon in the American political process or just a short-lived outburst of frustration with Barack Obama.

The 9-12 Project and Tea Party groups are still in their political infancy but have shown they do have some staying power, the ability to raise millions of dollars to target specific races, and now the attention of both political parties. Not bad for just some ordinary citizens using the internet to organize some rallies and “crash” some townhall meetings on health care. Good for them. I’m glad someone, anyone, is standing up and saying the kind of things that need to be said. One can continue to wallow in ignorance and blind faith in the agenda of the government or one can boldly stand in opposition and declare such things unacceptable for a free people.

There have been complaints that the members of the Tea Party movement are mostly white. Does it matter? Is perceived “diversity” now the only benchmark by which we measure legitimacy of a cause? The movement is an uprising of the ignored middle class. They are the ones who have the most to lose under Obama. All races are welcome in the Liberty movement. You just have to be willing to detach yourself from the teat of government handouts and dependency to be a member.

If anything, the Tea Party rebellion is more about class, not race. In the Great Recession it was the middle class that took a huge hit with severe job losses and foreclosures in the millions. The middle class is the heart and soul of the nation and when it feels ignored and betrayed it will strike out at those who it sees as having abandoned it. It is they who are feeling the greatest effects of both the recession and government policies. The rich will always be rich, and the poor will be poor, (but not too much poorer due to the wide social safety net we have constructed), but it is the middle class who have watched big government bail out big business with their money even as they lost their jobs, their savings, their retirement, and their homes. At the same time they see a massive grab for power by a government who sees them as little more than someone to be taxed and controlled. And occupying the oval office is the most leftist and radical president to every hold the office. It is upon such fertile ground that the message of the Tea Party and 9-12 groups has fallen with amazing results. Their anger at Washington, big business, and big government has provided a third force in politics, at least for the time being, that scares the Left and challenges the political class and politics as usual.
