A British ad for a climate change campaign shows corporate workers, a famous soccer player and even school children being blown up for not agreeing to cut their carbon emissions, a blood-splattering display that has drawn anger from critics and sheepish embarrassment from its supporters.
The short film, "No Pressure," which promotes the U.K.'s 10:10 climate change campaign, debuted on the campaign's website Friday. It depicts a school teacher, a corporate boss and a soccer coach asking their respective students, employees and players to participate in the 10:10 campaign to reduce carbon emissions. Despite being told there is "no pressure" to join the cause, those who say they don't plan to participate are immediately blown up by their superiors with the push of a button; the others are left standing in awe and covered in bloody remains.
The film was written by "Four Weddings and a Funeral" screenwriter Richard Curtis and directed by music video and commercial director Dougal Wilson. It features actress Gillian Anderson, British soccer stars Peter Crouch and David Ginola and music by Radiohead.
But despite the star-studded credits, the charities behind the film told the Guardian they were "absolutely appalled" by the video, which was pulled from circulation in U.K. movie theaters within hours of its release amid a storm of protest.
"We think the 10:10 campaign is very important, but the moment this film was seen it was clear it was inappropriate," ActionAid, a charity that co-ordinates the 10:10 schools program, told the Guardian.
The 10:10 campaign said that the video was intended to revive the issue of climate change in the media in a way that would make people laugh. To a degree, it said, it succeeded.
"Many people found the resulting film extremely funny, but unfortunately some didn't and 10:10 would like to apologize to everybody who was offended by the film," 10:10 said in a statement Friday.
The group removed the ad from its website; it said it won't attempt to censor any other versions in circulation on the Internet.

But the campaign's founder still stands by the film.
"We 'killed' five people to make No Pressure - a mere blip compared to the 300,000 real people who now die each year from climate change," Franny Armstrong told the Telegraph.
Curtis said he hopes the provocative nature of the film doesn't deter from its message.
"When you try to be funny on a serious subject, it's obviously risky," he told the Guardian. "I hope people who don't like the little film will still think about the big issue and try to do something about it."

But critics say the video will have the opposite effect.
"While I can sort of see where the writer was trying to go with his comedy here, the message that comes across FIRST and with the most power most assuredly is: ‘Think how we think, do as we do or die,' a YouTube viewer commented. "This was not the intent, however, anyone trying to state that it is not the result is sadly mistaken. I find this to be a horrific message in its entirety."
"It's pretty clear what the environmental movement thinks about human beings in this video. Especially dissenters," another viewer wrote.
The campaign, which was launched in Sept 1, 2009, and aims to cut 10 percent of emissions in the developed world by the end of 2010, says it'll do better next time.
"At 10:10 we're all about trying new and creative ways of getting people to take action on climate change," the 10:10 team said in the statement. "Unfortunately in this instance we missed the mark. Oh well, we live and learn."

No doubt Mr Yudof will be addressing Jewish issues at UC-Irvine. If we can go by his previous statements on the on-going controversy involving the Muslim Student Union (aka Alkalima), I would guess that Mr Yudof will express his personal outrage (Yudof is Jewish) at many of the incidents and statements made at MSU-sponsored events -as he has in the past to various groups and individuals. He will most likely, as he has in the past- explain that it is protected free speech-bad as it may be. Certainly, he will defend the actions of his administrators at UCI and other campuses-as he has in the past. Certainly, he will criticize statements made by outside groups and individuals that have sharply criticized the university.
That leads to a central question; is there anti-Semitism on the UCI campus-and other UC campuses?
Keep in mind, the dean of the UCI Law School, Erwin Chemerinsky, has stated repeatedly-before and since he came to UCI that there is no anti-Semitism at UCI. The CEO of the OC Jewish Federation, Shalom Elcott has stated (to me) that there is no anti-Semitism at UCI. The head of OC Hillel has stated in my presence that there is no anti-Semitism at UCI.
"We have a psychosis in the Jewish community that is unable to co-exist equally and brotherly with other human beings. You can take a Jew out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the Jew. And, this has been demonstrated time and time again in Occupied Palestine. And, now they have American diplomats and politicians and decision makers and strategists in their pocket because they have the money."

I hope someone in the crowd will ask Mr. Yudof about that. Al -Asi has since spoken again at UCI on more than one occasion.
I hope they will also ask him about swastikas that have recently appeared on bathroom walls at Berkeley and other campuses. I hope they will ask him about a professor at Berkeley who turned out to heckle Jewish students quietly protesting those swastikas.
His name is Andrew Gutierrez.
I hope someone will ask Yudof about Amir Abdel Malik Ali, who has been a regular speaker at UCI for almost a decade. This past May, he called Jews, "the new Nazis".
I hope someone will ask Yudof what he thinks about George Galloway coming to speak at UCI in May 2009 and taking up a cash collection for his Viva Palestina convoys to Gaza (read Hamas). Why, Mr Yudof, was this allowed happen-in contravention to UCI's own rules-not to mention US laws against aiding terrorist organizations (Hamas)?
I hope someone will ask Yudof if he really thinks the UCI-MSU has been punished for their disruption of the speech by the Israel ambassador to the US-especially, since they are now operating this quarter under a new name.
You are probably thinking, "Why doesn't Fouse attend the event and ask the questions himself? He always does at other events."
Correct and great question. Assuming this event takes place at the Jewish Federation headquarters, they won't let me get within 10 miles of the event. That is because the head of the Federation, Shalom Elcott, knows I would ask those questions and embarrass him when he makes his grand statements about how HE and his organization has dealt with the issue effectively in concert with the university

A speech that every high school principal should give at the start of school.
Dennis Prager did this back in July of this year and I found it after rummaging about in the 'artciles to post someday file.' That is a scary file and I just cleaned it out yesterday. No matter here as this next post is a great one. Dennis Prager is name some of you may be familiar with. He does a talk radio show that is quite good, and I agree with a lot of what is stated on his show when I can catch it. Please note Mr. Prager is NOT a high school principal but this is a speech every high school principal should give.
A Speech Every American High School Principal Should Give

If every school principal gave this speech at the beginning of the next school year, America would be a better place.
To the students and faculty of our high school:
I am your new principal, and honored to be so. There is no greater calling than to teach young people.
I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our school. I am making these changes because I am convinced that most of the ideas that have dominated public education in America have worked against you, against your teachers and against our country.
First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity. I could not care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red, yellow or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin American, Asian or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower or on slave ships.
The only identity I care about, the only one this school will recognize, is your individual identity -- your character, your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will care about is American. This is an American public school, and American public schools were created to make better Americans.
If you wish to affirm an ethnic, racial or religious identity through school, you will have to go elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity-, race- and non-American nationality-based celebrations. They undermine the motto of America, one of its three central values -- e pluribus unum, "from many, one." And this school will be guided by America's values.
This includes all after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students based on any identities. This includes race, language, religion, sexual orientation or whatever else may become in vogue in a society divided by political correctness.
Your clubs will be based on interests and passions, not blood, ethnic, racial or other physically defined ties. Those clubs just cultivate narcissism -- an unhealthy preoccupation with the self -- while the purpose of education is to get you to think beyond yourself. So we will have clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music, astronomy, languages you do not already speak, carpentry and more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being interesting in are those based on ethnic, racial or sexual identity, that means that little outside of yourself really interests you.
Second, I am uninterested in whether English is your native language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The English language has united America's citizens for over 200 years, and it will unite us at this school. It is one of the indispensable reasons this country of immigrants has always come to be one country. And if you leave this school without excellent English language skills, I would be remiss in my duty to ensure that you will be prepared to successfully compete in the American job market. We will learn other languages here -- it is deplorable that most Americans only speak English -- but if you want classes taught in your native language rather than in English, this is not your school.
Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor, everything in this school will reflect learning's elevated status. This means, among other things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. Many people in our society dress more formally for Hollywood events than for church or school. These people have their priorities backward. Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.
Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school's property -- whether in class, in the hallways or at athletic events. If you can't speak without using the f-word, you can't speak. By obscene language I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications Commission, plus epithets such as "Nigger," even when used by one black student to address another black, or "bitch," even when addressed by a girl to a girlfriend. It is my intent that by the time you leave this school, you will be among the few your age to instinctively distinguish between the elevated and the degraded, the holy and the obscene.
Fifth, we will end all self-esteem programs. In this school, self-esteem will be attained in only one way -- the way people attained it until decided otherwise a generation ago -- by earning it. One immediate consequence is that there will be one valedictorian, not eight.
Sixth, and last, I am reorienting the school toward academics and away from politics and propaganda. No more time will devoted to scaring you about smoking and caffeine, or terrifying you about sexual harassment or global warming. No more semesters will be devoted to condom wearing and teaching you to regard sexual relations as only or primarily a health issue. There will be no more attempts to convince you that you are a victim because you are not white, or not male, or not heterosexual or not Christian. We will have failed if any one of you graduates this school and does not consider him or herself inordinately lucky -- to be alive and to be an American.
Now, please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our country. As many of you do not know the words, your teachers will hand them out to you.

This is just totally sick, subjecting young girls to this is a violation of human rights, is how I see this. At least three Muslim faith schools are forcing girls as young as 11 to wear face-covering veils with the blessing of Ofsted inspectors, it emerged yesterday. One of the schools insists that fees are paid in cash and warns parents against speaking to the local education authority.
All three schools have been approved by education watchdog Ofsted, which inspects private faith schools to ensure they prepare pupils for life in modern Britain and 'promote tolerance and harmony between different cultural traditions'. The schools' dress codes yesterday provoked anger among mainsteam Muslims, who warned that pupils were in danger of being 'brainwashed'.
The three schools causing concern were Madani Girls' School in Tower Hamlets, East London, Jamea Al Kauthar, in Lancaster and Jameah Girls' Academy in Leicester. All three are independent, fee-paying, single-sex schools catering for girls aged 11 to 18.
They insist that when girls are travelling to and from school they wear the niqab, a face veil leaving the eyes exposed, or the head-to-toe burka, which covers the eyes with a mesh screen.

The council sold the Victorian building to Madani's trustees for £1.33million even though a valuation at the time said it was worth £1.65 million.
Tower Hamlets said the agreed price of £1.33million was market value in 2004 and the sale was delayed to allow the school to raise funds.
At Jamea Al Kauthar - rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted earlier this year - rules which appear on its website state: 'Black Jubbah [smock-like outer garment] and dopatta [shawl] is compulsory as well as purdah [veil] when leaving and returning to Jamea. Scarves are strictly not permitted.'
The website also lists a wide range of banned items, including family photographs, and warns: 'Students must not cut their hair, nor remove hair from between their eyebrows. Doing so will lead to suspention (sic).'
Jameah Girls' Academy, which charges £1,750 a year for primary-age pupils and £1,850 for secondary, was rated 'good' by Ofsted in 2007.
It states in its rules: 'Uniform, as set out in the pupil/parent handbook, which comprises of headscarf and habaya for all pupils, and niqab for girls attending the secondary years, to be worn during journeys to and from The Academy.'
Critics claimed the policies could damage relations between Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
Ed Husain, co-director of Quilliam, the counter-extremist think-tank, said: 'It is absurd that schools are enforcing this outdated ritual – one that which sends out a damaging message that Muslims do not want to fully partake in British society. 'The enforcing of the niqab on young girls is not a mainstream Islamic practice – either in Britain or in most Muslim-majority countries. 'It is a desert practice which belongs to another century and another world.'
Independent schools will be able to apply to become state-funded 'free schools' under the Coalition's education policy, although faith schools will be required to offer a quota of places to pupils of other religions first.
Mr Husain added: 'Although it is not the government's job to dictate how its citizens dress, it should nonetheless ensure that such schools are not bankrolled or subsidised by the British taxpayer.'
Dr Taj Hargey, an imam and chairman of the Muslim Educational Trust of Oxford, said: 'This is very disturbing and sets a dangerous precedent.
'It means that Muslim children are being brainwashed into thinking they must segregate and separate themselves from mainstream society.'
Philip Hollobone, the Tory MP who has attempted to bring in a Private Members' Bill to ban wearing of the burka in public, said: 'It is very sad in 21st century Britain that three schools are effectively forcing girls as young as 11 to hide their faces. 'How on earth are these young ladies going to grow up as part of a fully integrated society if they are made to regard themselves as objects at such a young age?'

At least three Muslim faith schools are forcing girls as young as 11 to wear face-covering veils with the blessing of Ofsted inspectors, it emerged yesterday. One of the schools insists that fees are paid in cash and warns parents against speaking to the local education authority.
All three schools have been approved by education watchdog Ofsted, which inspects private faith schools to ensure they prepare pupils for life in modern Britain and 'promote tolerance and harmony between different cultural traditions'. The schools' dress codes yesterday provoked anger among mainsteam Muslims, who warned that pupils were in danger of being 'brainwashed'.
The three schools causing concern were Madani Girls' School in Tower Hamlets, East London, Jamea Al Kauthar, in Lancaster and Jameah Girls' Academy in Leicester. All three are independent, fee-paying, single-sex schools catering for girls aged 11 to 18.
They insist that when girls are travelling to and from school they wear the niqab, a face veil leaving the eyes exposed, or the head-to-toe burka, which covers the eyes with a mesh screen.

I cannot add very much to this article from Loganswarning. Christopher has spotlighted two of the main problems that we have in our war against islam. Yes, we are at war. Look how different islamic countries we have conflicts with right now; I think it is five, maybe more. Look at some of what this 'college' is going to be teaching. Great topics and subjects no doubt. Wait until you read who some of the supporters are, among them a real liberal troll from Illinois, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. She is such an ardent supporter she has plans to speak at this college on November 8th. We have two major weaknesses in the war with Islam. The first being the Rules of Engagement (ROE), that have our brave troops fighting with one hand tied behind their back. The second being our freedoms, they are the Achilles’ heel of America when it comes to Islam. Muslims are constantly using the freedoms of America to advance Islam. One recent example of this is the Sharia College that was set to open this fall in California.
Today we learn that the American Islamic College (AIC), located at 640 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago IL is reopening this fall as well. One of the courses the school provides is the “Hadith and Seerah of the Prophet”. Here are some examples of what the ahadith teach Muslims.
They teach Muslims that murdering apostates is OK.
Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57:
Narrated ‘Ikrima:
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to ‘Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, ‘Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).’ I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, ‘Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.’”
The ahadith encourage terrorism.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand.” Abu Huraira added: Allah’s Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them).
They also condone kidnapping and rape.

I entered the Mosque and saw Abu Said Al-Khudri and sat beside him and asked him about Al-Azl (i.e. coitus interruptus). Abu Said said, “We went out with Allah’s Apostle for the Ghazwa of Banu Al-Mustaliq and we received captives from among the Arab captives and we desired women and celibacy became hard on us and we loved to do coitus interruptus. So when we intended to do coitus interrupt us, we said, ‘How can we do coitus interruptus before asking Allah’s Apostle who is present among us?” We asked (him) about it and he said, ‘It is better for you not to do so, for if any soul (till the Day of Resurrection) is predestined to exist, it will exist.”

Besides the obvious lies of Islam is “misunderstood”, we see that Dr. Sahloul who is a Chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago backs this college. On the website of his organization there is a 16 point plan to silence the critics of Islam. As per Sharia Law, they are trying to curtail liquor sales in Chicago.
Another supporter of the school is Ahmed Rehab, the Executive Director of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

Corruption and abuse at Head start program? Say it ain't so!
I am not surprised at all by this and thought this was worth posting up. We have had friends involved with Head Start and it always seemed there was plenty of 'funding' when other programs that I deemed far more worthy of such funding, were getting cut or closed. We saw kids in head Start that we knew were far from poor or low income. I am not saying that all Head Start programs are in the tank like the ones mentioned in this next article but if there are this many as in this article, we can bet there are many, many more. 2.1 Billion in stimulus funds went to this program. How have the bucks stopped at your local Head Start program? I am not coming out against this program but highlighting a swath of corruption and fraud within it. Don't shoot the messenger, OK? Undercover ops reveal fraud, abuse at Head Start program

The Government Accountability Office substantiated allegations of fraud and abuse involving two Head Start nonprofit grantees in the Midwest and Texas.
The Head Start program provides child development services primarily to low-income families and their children. Federal law allows up to 10 percent of families to have incomes above 130 percent of the poverty line -- GAO refers to them as over-income families. Families with incomes below 130 percent of the poverty line, or that meet certain other criteria, are referred to as under-income families.
Nearly 1 million children a year participate in Head Start, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided an additional $2.1 billion. GAO received hotline tips alleging fraud by grantees. In response, the GAO investigated the allegations, conducted undercover tests to determine if other centers were committing fraud, and documented instances where potentially eligible children were put on Head Start wait lists.
On May 18, 2010 GAO testified before the U.S. Congress on the preliminary results of its ongoing investigation. Since GAO's May testimony, HHS has taken a number of actions to address identified weaknesses, such as implementing a fraud hotline. HHS also indicated that it has moved expeditiously to begin a rule making process to strengthen the regulations on the eligibility verification process.
GAO received allegations of fraud and abuse involving two Head Start nonprofit grantees in the Midwest and Texas. Two of the many allegations were substantiated.
For example, one grantee inappropriately counted time parents spent helping children with homework as contributions to meet program funding requirements. While not fraudulent, investigators found that at both grantees, the average number of students who attended class was significantly lower than the number of students the grantees reported as enrolled in class.
Realizing that the alleged fraud schemes could be perpetrated at other Head Start programs, GAO attempted to register fictitious children as part of 15 undercover test scenarios at centers in six states and the District of Columbia.
In 8 instances staff at these centers fraudulently misrepresented information, including disregarding part of a family's income to register over-income children into under-income slots. The undercover tests revealed that seven Head Start employees lied about applicants' employment status or misrepresented their earnings.
This leaves Head Start at risk that over-income children may be enrolled while legitimate under-income children are put on wait lists. At no point during registrations was information submitted by GAO's fictitious parents verified, leaving the program at risk that dishonest persons could falsify earnings statements and other documents in order to qualify.

In addition, GAO found that most of the 550 Head Start centers contacted had waiting lists. GAO also found that two centers where GAO enrolled fictitious children later became full and developed waiting lists after the fictitious children had been withdrawn. Only 44 centers reported that they had openings.
GAO investigators interviewed families on waiting lists from other centers and found that many stated that their incomes were at or below the federal poverty level. In some cases, families stated they had experienced some type of domestic violence, or were receiving some type of public assistance, which made them automatically eligible for Head Start.

I have started getting Vladtepes videos because they are exceptional and a great source of information about what is happening in Europe with islam, muslims and much of the European countries. I will post them as I get them and think about subscribing to his Youtube videos. Never know when YT is going to pull or ban someone who is in the forefront in the war against islam.
