Egypt and WMD. Yes, there is and will be a problem.

Egypt has been involved in WMD research and more than likely has some stores of chemical and possibly biological weapons that the west does not know about, or has scant information about. What if the muslim brotherhood has a big say in the new 'democracy' that may be coming up for Egypt. Will this be like Iraq's? I surely hope not. For answer to that see another post here on what Egypt' 'democracy' might look like or not look like. From Newsmax.

Here We Go Again: Now Fears Over Egyptian WMD
By Jim Meyers

With Egypt in turmoil and the Hosni Mubarak regime imperiled, concerns are rising over the Arab world’s most militarily advanced nation’s weapons of mass destruction programs, said to include work with nuclear, chemical and biological technologies.

egypt, nuclear, weapons, wmd, israel, islamists,Documents obtained by NBC News from the United States, Russia and Israel reportedly disclose that Egypt has conducted research on uranium and plutonium processing, helped Saddam Hussein’s Iraq develop its deadly chemical weapons arsenal, and aided North Korea’s missile programs.

The research and development has been ongoing for more than three decades, according to the documents and interviews with American officials.

The United States has not taken action to discourage the work due to America’s close relationship with the Egyptian military. But all that could change if Mubarak is ousted and that relationship deteriorates.

If an Islamist regime replaces the Mubarak government, “then all bets are off” as far as Egypt’s pursuit of WMDs, according to James Russell, a former Pentagon official now with the Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey, Calif.

Egypt has already hinted that it could withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty if nothing is done about Israel and Iran’s nuclear weapons programs, according to NBC News. In that case, Egypt would be under no restraints in developing nuclear technology for weapons.

Egypt’s plutonium research appears to have taken place at least 20 years ago. But its uranium experiments conducted at it two research reactors in the Nile Delta are more recent, according to an International Atomic Energy Agency report.

One fear is that if a new Egyptian regime lost part or all of its American military aid, it could seek to make up for the loss by exporting weapons technology.

According to a 2005 CIA report cited by NBC, after the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War in 1981, Iraq paid Egypt for assistance in producing sarin munitions. The nerve gas was used to deadly affect by the Iraqis against Kurdish dissidents and Iranian troops.

In the mid-1980s, Egypt secretly aided North Korea’s missile program by shipping at least two of its Soviet-supplied Scud missiles to North Korea for reverse engineering.

“It is this backdrop, and the fact that Egypt still has considerable expertise in missiles and chemical weapons,” NBC concludes, “that has some analysts concerned about the path that a new Egyptian government might take.”

Two more cents on Egypt

A lot was written and said about the riots already. The mainstream media is filled with nonsense, wishful thinking, and romantic tales spun from the gossamers of imagination.

The good news, you can chuck all of their ramblings out like yesterday's trash.
The bad news, their lies are much nicer than the truth.

Egypt was conquered numerous times in its past. First, by the Persians, then by the Greeks, Romans (later, Byzantines), muslim Arabs, Mamluks, Ottomans, French (Napoleon's short invasion), and Great Britain.
Truth is, the current inhabitants of Egypt have as much in common with the ancient Egyptians as a bunny living in the wreckage of a 747 has with the science of aviation. You may find surviving genetic lines, but genetics don't make a nation; neither does cashing in on the Pyramids.

During all this time, Egypt was ruled by various dictators. The British implemented a monarchy, which fell prey to a coup in 1952. A second coup two years later had put yet another tyrant (and an aspiring Nazi), Gamal Abdul Nasser, in charge. Despite having backed egypt in its attempt to ethnically cleanse the fledging Israel in 1948, Nasser turns on the British and nationalizes the Suez canal, which triggers a war with Britain, France, and Israel. Egypt losses the canal, and the Sinai peninsula for the first time - only to gain it back due to US intervention.
As always when muslims survive a defeat, Nasser was viewed as a hero, and the US failed to gain Egypt as an ally. Instead, the Soviet Union moved in, and provided weapons, training, and funding to the poorly-managed state.
Eleven years later, Egypt is ready for another aggression, and, at the head of an alliance that includes Syria, Jordan, and forces from seven other muslim nations, it prepares to wipe Israel off the map. Instead, its military suffers an appalling defeat, and Sinai is taken for the second time.
Three years later, Nasser is replaced by Anwar Sadat, who for the most part shares his views.
Following six years of low-scale 'attrition' war around the Suez canal, the 'peacefulg' Sadat launched an invasion over the canal, which wipes out the undermanned Israeli garrison*.
Despite initial successes, the soviet-powered Egyptian war machine is brought to a halt in the desert, is encircled, and finally forced to surrender. Once again, Israel backs down due to western pressure, and refrains from inflicting any real harm on Egypt itself.

Six years later, Sadat, and the antisemitic American president, Jimmy Carter, form the humiliating "peace treaty" that Israel signed, in which it handed over sinai - a territory more than twice its, with oil and gas reserves - to the Egyptians, and pulled out all its citizens from it, in exchange for a piece of paper that ensures that there would be no war, as long as Egyptian leadership doesn't want one.
What makes this agreement truly humiliating, though, is a clause revealed by non-other than the infamous Wikileaks:
"President Mubarak and military leaders view our military assistance program as the cornerstone of our mil-mil relationship and consider the USD 1.3 billion in annual FMF as 'untouchable compensation' for making and maintaining peace with Israel. The tangible benefits to our mil-mil relationship are clear: Egypt remains at peace with Israel, and the U.S. military enjoys priority access to the Suez Canal and Egyptian airspace."
In other words, the US government agreed to continually bribe Egypt to maintain a very loose 'peace' with Israel. If you think this simple blackmail doesn't make sense, consider that despite this diplomatic victory over Israel, Sadat was still murdered by muslims for his 'betrayal' of their faith.
Which brings us to Mubarak, who managed to keep a reign on this region for almost thirty years.

Now, when we're talking about a revolution in a muslim country, it means a more extreme faction is taking power. That faction, in turn, is going to be under threat by even more extreme groups, and so on. All 'reforms' are fundamentalist in nature, because islam teaches that the solution to every problem in the world can be solved by grabbing a weapon, and murdering everyone who doesn't agree with your version of islam.
Or, for the very least, a lot of Jews who did nothing to you.

While the mainstream media spends its time fantasizing about a Democratic revolution in Egypt, the closest this country is going to get to a Democracy, is by invading one (and I'm not saying which, because who knows, maybe it would be the Democratic Republic of the Congo), or as Michael J Totten put it:
"If Egyptians elect the Muslim Brotherhood in a free and fair election, and the Muslim Brotherhood then rigs or even cancels every election that follows, Egypt will not be in any way shape or form a democracy. It will be a dictatorship that happened to have an election."
As I've shown earlier, Egypt's history is about one absolute ruler after another. The uprising of the common man is about putting food on his table - not abstract ideals. He simply wants someone who can get the job done, not to change the system!
Those media darlings - the students that post on Facebook and Twitter - are not the heads of some new Social-Democrat revolution (Israeli media provided numerous comparisons, from the Soviet Union in 1991, to Romania casting off Nicolae Ceauşescu), they're powerless, and will - as in any revolution - be taken over by someone who holds real power.
Someone who works for the muslim brotherhood.

And the muslim brotherhood works for a greater muslim force - the same one that funds Al-Jazeera, had islamized Turkey, put the Hizbollah in charge of Lebanon, brought Hamas to power in Gaza, vows to commit genocide on Israelis, and is threatening the stability of Jordan, along with any other American ally in the region.
A westerner sees the nation state as a de facto unit, but in the tribal middle east, it is a new, and foreign idea. Iran, Qatar, and Syria are just lines on a map for the common muslim - he will not fight and die for them.
But he will die for Mohamed.

And instead of doing something to block this expansion, which bears ill-will to the entire world, the American government, out of either sheer idiocy, or (worse) a deliberate attempt to sabotage American interests in the Middle East and North Africa, is calling Mubarak to step down.

No, he may not be a saint, and he's not the warmest ally (the Democrats have been busy grinding that ally's face to the dirt through the past several decades), but he gets the job done. Stabbing him in the back now serves only the anti-western forces, because it broadcasts to the entire world, in clarity so bright that it rivals the sun itself:
An alliance with America isn't worth squat.

And this is the reputation the United States would have to work with, in the hostile diplomatic field of tomorrow.

To summarize, take a good look at this map:

The green area is the ring of puppet regimes and loose alliances that is being built by Iran and its version of islamic fundamentalism. At the moment, it is unclear where will Jordan and the UAE tilt; while Iraq's future as a cohesive unit is in serious doubt. In a twist of faith, thanks to the American abandonment of allies, Saudi Arabia - the only meaningful Arab/muslim opposition to Iran, is about to be surrounded and isolated. Yemen is 'light green' as it's unlikely to play a bigger role than a terrorist base.

* In 1973, the Israeli leftist government allows the arabs to attack first on all fronts - deliberately sacrificing the lives of unknowing citizens, in order to appear like the 'good guys' to the world. They succeeded in the first part, at least, and almost brought the end of the state in the process.

Islam and Female Genital Mutilation

Here is a really great article on Female Genital Mutilation which happens under Islam. FGM is a sick, perverted 'ritual' that women undergo at the tender, innocent age as young as five years old. Sickening, perverted, demeaning, crippling and it is another way women are persecuted and tortured within the structure of Islam. The tools used for this gruesome 'surgery' are most times razor blades, shards of broken glass, dull knives, sharpened stones, you get the picture. The article is quite long but I urge you to read all of this. I close with this question; where are all the feminazis speaking out, protesting against such a barbaric act against the women of Islam? The silence is thick and women are dying, spiritually and physically.

Campaigning against female genital mutilation

Sofeminine.co.uk, Razor blades are often used in female genital mutilation. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 150 million women live with the consequences of genital mutilation. And every day, at least 8,000 more girls are mutilated. Now, a new book is being distributed declaring genital mutilation a crime.

In Aisha's household there are no razor blades. The 43-year-old could not bear it. So instead, her husband uses an electric razor. These days, Aisha (whose real name has been changed to protect her identity) lives in Europe. But she is still haunted by the memory of what was done to her when she was a 5-year-old living in Djibouti, a small desert state in north eastern Africa.

"I was told at the time that it was going to be a marvellous day," she says. Instead, she was mutilated, her entire external genitalia were cut off, and her vagina was sewn up. As a result, Aisha has had many medical complications, and will never be able to experience a normal sex life. She says that she will never forgive her relatives, the people she trusted most, for lying to her.

The custom of female genital mutilation (FGM) is predominant among Muslims, but is also sometimes practiced by Coptic Christians, Jews and followers of natural religions. It is most widely practiced in Africa, in some 28 countries. The tradition has been in existence for thousands of years – the most brutal form, which Aisha experienced, is referred to as "pharaonic. These days, many advocates of FGM invoke Islam.

Male proponents of female genital mutilation often refer to the practice as female circumcision, and like to point out that many men are circumcised, too. But from a medical point of view, this comparison is invalid. While it is true that some women only have the clitoral hood removed, in the majority of cases FGM – which is carried out using anything from razor blades to glass shards and even the lids of tin cans – goes much further, depending on regional tradition. In most cases the entire outer and/or inner labia are cut away along with the clitoris. The women who carry out the mutilations are held in high regard and earn good money.

The pharaonic variant of FGM involves yet another aspect: closing the vagina completely – total control of female sexuality. Aisha remembers the most horrific day of her life as if it was yesterday. Her aunts came to help her mother, as she recalls.

"They sat on my arms and legs, while the old woman cut everything away," says Aisha. There was no anaesthetic. "Then they tied my legs together and I had to lie like that for four or six weeks." During this period, the wound, which is stitched up or closed with the aid of acacia thorns, is meant to heal. An inserted twig or straw ensures that a tiny opening remains.

The list of the consequences, which usually remain for life, is long: peeing can take half an hour, a period can last two weeks, and women are often prone to chronic infections of the bladder or fallopian tubes. This, in turn, frequently causes infertility. In the case of pregnancy, a normal birth is often not possible, but there is rarely a doctor around who could perform a caesarean. In all cases, infant mortality is clearly elevated, by around 55 percent.

With the pharaonic mutilation, there is yet another cruel aspect: on a woman’s wedding night, she is often cut open if the opening is too small for intercourse. This is sometimes done by the mutilation practitioners, but more frequently by the husbands, who use knives and scissors, often damaging the bowel or bladder in the process.

Aisha will only say that her wedding night was terrible, without going into details. She has since had a son and a daughter, both of whom were born in Germany by caesarean. She says that she is lucky that her husband is considerate. "But I only know that being with a man is supposed to be beautiful for a woman from books and from talking to my German girlfriends. For me, it has remained torturous.

It is fates like Aisha’s that the German human rights activist Rüdiger Nehberg cites in his fight against female genital mutilation. He is keen to illustrate that such a practice cannot be justified by Islam, even if there is a persistent belief that corresponding instructions can be found in the Koran. The origin for this is probably to be found in the Hadiths, pronouncements and traditional sayings ascribed to the prophet Mohammed.

Nehberg and other opponents of FGM, on the other hand, point out that the respective Hadiths are weak and unreliable, and that Mohammed's daughters were not circumcised or mutilated. Nehberg argues that the Koran praises the creation of both man and woman by Allah: "Sura 95, Verse 4 states, 'We have created man in the most perfect image' – and man must not presume to destroy this creation."

"I wanted to call together leading Islamic clerics for them to condemn female genital mutilation," Nehberg says. His idea became reality in November 2006. At the Al-Azhar University in Cairo, one of the most respected educational institutions in the Islamic world, the most eminent Islamic scholars from around the world came together for a two-day conference. At the end of the conference, after occasionally heated discussions, female genital mutilation was condemned as irreconcilable with Islam by a ruling issued by the Islamic scholars, a fatwa.

But how to convey this to the many millions of people in some three dozen countries, who often live in the remotest areas? Nehberg developed the idea of the "Golden Book," a small, elaborately designed book with a firm fold-over cover, a magnetic clasp in green (the colour of Islam), with gold embossing and pages edged in gold. It contains the fatwa, speeches by the scholars, as well as the most common prejudices on the topic and their refutation – in Arabic, English, French and German. The core messages are also illustrated in pictures.

A woman and little girl with a copy of the fatwa,

At the follow-up conference in Addis Ababa, 120 imams ordered 100,000 copies in the first half hour alone. In Mauritania, where some three million people live in an area three times the size of Germany, 1,200 books have been distributed already, to imams, Islamic schools and scholars.

Three thousand copies are currently being brought into circulation in Djibouti; 50,000 in Ethiopia. Distribution will soon follow in Mali, Sudan, Somaliland and Chad; getting the book out in some countries, like Etrirea and Somalia, will be difficult from a security point of view.

Some positive effects have already been reported. In a town at the edge of the Danakil desert, practitioners of female genital mutilation have up their work and instead undergone training to become midwives. In the town of Barahle, 60 mothers swore by Allah not to have their daughter mutilated.

To achieve sustained abolition of the practice it is also important to bring the imams, heads of clans and mayors on board, too. Because in the societies where the practice in widespread, uncut women are generally considered unclean and not fit to be married – which then makes them unable to support their parents in old age. This will only change when those in power really start laying down the law.

Obama Quietly Backing Muslim Brotherhood

China Confidential has learned that the Obama administration is quietly backing the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, in an attempt to curry favor with the banned Islamist opposition group.

What are Obama's motives here. The MB is one of the most vile Islamic
organizations in existence. Wonder how Israel feels about this move?
Of course when one has friends like Hugo Chavez, Zelaya, The Castro's,
maybe this is just a natural fit for Obama. After all he has appointed
so many anti-semitic, racist, self hating JINO'S into his administration
maybe it would be like how things are back in the 'hood' in Chicago.

In response to the Brotherhood's emergence from elections in 2005 as Egypt's main opposition group, the government of President Hosni Mubarak has wisely banned religion-based political parties. The government has introduced legislation preventing Muslim Brothers from standing in elections as independent candidates.

The government has also sought to cripple the movement by arresting hundreds of its members.

Obama's engagement of the Brotherhood recalls the Eisenhower administration's covert support for the group in a failed attempt to topple the secular nationalist Nasser regime and the catastrophic Carter administration's covert backing of the Ayatollah Khomeini and craven betrayal of Iran's pro-American, modernizing monarch, the Shah, in a disastrous attempt to hop aboard the Islamist bandwagon in that country.

The world's oldest and largest Islamic political group, the Muslim Brotherhood was founded by the Egyptian schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna in 1928. It spawned Al Qaeda, among other groups, and serves as the center of the global Islamist movement.

On October 6, 1981, the Brotherhood made history by assassinating Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. He was gunned down during an annual military parade in Cairo. A fatwa approving his assassination--for the "crime" of making peace with israel--had been obtained from Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, a blind cleric later convicted in the United States for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He is currently serving a life sentence at a U.S. prison in North Carolina.

Father Zkaria Botros: This is one the most hated men in the Islamic world. He is a hero as far as I am concerned.

This brave man has a bounty of 60 million on his head.
Why? He speaks the truth about Islam and the Christian
Copts. The Copts have suffered terribly under Islam.
