Unemployment tied to lack of immigration enforcement

Law Enforcement Examiner , Although President Obama says creating jobs is his top priority, his failure to enforce immigration laws at worksites has led to job losses for American workers. That is the message of a new television ad campaign by Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) and allied organizations concerned about unemployment.

"The United States is suffering its highest unemployment rate in decades, yet President Obama has cut jobsite enforcement of immigration laws by 60 percent. How seriously should we take his claims that he is focusing on this issue?" asked Diana Hull, the President of CAPS.

The ads note that over 8 million jobs are held by foreign workers who are in this country illegally and ask Americans to call the President to complain.

Even when illegal workers are apprehended, they are typically released and free to take other jobs. Furthermore, the Obama Administration annually admits more than a million legal foreign workers under various immigration programs.

"Obama is truly hypocritical on this important issue. Even as he claims to generate jobs for American workers, he removes them with his immigration policy," Hull said.

It's the Unemployment Line, Stupid

James Carville coined the axiom "It's the economy, stupid" to deftly underscore the electorate's anxiety that swept Bill Clinton into the White House in 1992. Nearly two decades later, the Washington power elite now trumpets an economic recovery even as Americans watch living-wage jobs disappear faster than the Dodo bird. Despite brutal job losses that have hammered the American working and middle classes, more than 125,000 foreign workers continue to arrive legally in United States every month. Joining these legally imported workers each month are nearly as many illegal immigrants, most of whom are hungry for work and in need of social services that were created for America's most at-risk and in-need citizens.


The 2010 Forecast: American workers shouldn't expect any more appreciable relief from Washington this year than they received in 2009. Most Democrats favor open borders and mass amnesty in order to boost their voter registration in key states, while many Republicans generally oppose them only as a means to leverage greater concessions from the Democrats on foreign worker visas for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The Late, Great State of California

The Golden State's make-believe economy of the past two decades has vanished with the bursting of its ethereal dot-com and fantasy real estate bubbles, leaving nearly 40 million Californians to face successive budget deficits of more than $20 billion annually, crumbling infrastructure, sustained drought and jobless rates deep in the double digits. Yet the professional politicians perpetually roosting in Sacramento appear alternately paralyzed and punch-drunk; frozen in partisan acrimony one moment and stumbling around with tax-and-spend proposals the next.


The 2010 Forecast: Hope for little and expect even less. This train of unrestricted growth and wild-eyed spending has been out of control for years now and Sacramento has proven itself unable and unwilling to act decisively. Even at its present population growth rate of around 1% -- almost all of which is due to immigration and birth to immigrants -- California will hit nearly 60 million people by 2050 and 85 million people by the end of this century. If you think things look grim now, try to envision what your kids will be facing in a state twice as crowded but with dramatically less resources than it has today.

End the Iranian Threat Before it Ends the US

Musing openly about "a world without America and Zionism," Islamist (Islamonazi) Iran is developing nuclear weapons and long-range ballistic missiles.

A great deal of evidence suggests that Iran, with North Korean assistance, has already developed an EMP attack capability. Google EMP attack and scud-in-a-bucket.

An EMP attack--detonation of a nuclear warhead at a sufficiently high altitude above the American Midwest--would wipe out virtually all electronic and communications systems and networks across America and put an end to every modern convenience and device on which we depend, including all modern cars, trucks, trains, and aircraft, and ... electricity. Imagine the biggest blackout in history--and it lasts for years. No lights. No phones. No Internet. No radio or TV. No harvesting equipment on the farms. No way to transport food, medicine, fuel, fertilizer, feed, and seeds. No ATMs or banks.

All passenger jets in the air at the time of the attack would crash. The rest would be grounded. The only vehicles that would run would be pre-electronic ones--until they run out of undeliverable gasoline or diesel oil.

In a flash, the United States would be plunged back into the 19th century--without the resources of the 19th century. Tens of millions of people would die from starvation and disease, lack of heat in the winter, etc. Hospital patients would start dying within one or two days of the attack, which could be anonymously launched--right now, as you read this--from one of thousands of cargo ships or barges in U.S. coastal waters on any given day. Many, if not most, of the freighters fly flags of convenience.

After the hospital patients, others would start dying--in a week or so. Chaos and anarchy would rule. Mob violence and mayhem would be commonplace. In the cities, there would basically be savagery, a mad, cannibalistic competition for survival. In the country, where people can still hunt and fish, find ways to mechanically pump or access clean water (some rural folks are fortunate to have gravity drainage wells), chop and haul wood to heat their homes, build outhouses ... and use their hunting and target rifles and shotguns to protect themselves and their neighbors ... there would be pockets of cooperation and hope.

But pockets do not make a country. After an EMP attack, the U.S. would for all practical purposes cease to exist.

Experts estimate that only 10% of the U.S. population--about 30 million people--would survive an EMP attack.

There is no known defense and no apparent deterrent against an anonymous EMP attack, no reason to safely assume that Iran's Islamonazi leaders won't try to do what Hitler could not do--destroy the United States.

What is to be done?

The answer is obvious: the U.S. should--must--bomb Iran, as soon as possible, massively and mercilessly. Any and all weapons necessary, including tactical nuclear weapons, should be used to swiftly and utterly destroy Iran's military and industrial infrastructure and armed forces--especially, the SS-like Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps--while minimizing potential loss of American and allied lives. Nothing less than total victory is morally acceptable, as a government's first duty is to protect the lives of its people.

Appeasement of Iran has made war with Iran inevitable. The only remaining question: will the war be fought on American or Iranian terms? After Pearl Harbor and 9/11, it would be criminally insane to allow an enemy to prepare a surprise attack on the U.S., to allow Iran to prove the old superstition that things come in threes.

There is no diplomatic solution to the problem of nuclear-arming, Islamonazi Iran. Sanctions won't work. It's too late for that, too late for containment.

The choice is mass death in Iran or mass death in the United States.

Alternative Energy, Obama and cap and Trade. It has not gone away

Alternative or renewable energy is quite popular right now. Even with the focus on Obamacare, Cap and Trade is still very much on the radar. Do not think for one minute this has gone away or been scrapped by Obama. His desire to force 'his' new world order upon the American people is still very much alive. The funds wasted by this administration on such technology, could have gone to much better use. Increasing the output of our own resources, until wind, solar and other 'alternative or renewable' resource technologies become less expensive and much more reliable, would have made more sense.

Blowing Wind Up Your Skirt

One of the keystones of the Obama administration’s energy policies has been a very expensive emphasis on “clean energy”, sometimes called “renewable energy”, allocating billions to the wind and solar energy producers. Like much of the “stimulus” bill, that money is a waste.

The wind power trade group, the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), has been pouring big bucks into a public relations effort to convince Americans that wind is the energy source of the future and that acres of wind turbines should be installed to replace the proven sources, primarily coal-fired, natural gas, and nuclear plants currently providing more than 80% of the nation’s electricity needs.

Thanks to Freedom of Information requests, the Chicago Tribune revealed significant collusion among Department of Energy officials and AWEA, as well as other third-party special interest groups such as the Center for American Progress, a think tank that pushes Green and other liberal agendas.

The Tribune reported that an Assistant Secretary of Energy, Cathy Zoi, who formerly held top positions at Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection, was charged with crafting renewable energy policy for the Obama administration and emails obtained revealed that she was working closely with AWEA to rebut and discredit a ground-breaking study by Dr. Gabriel Calzada of Madrid’s King Juan Carlos University.

Dr. Calzada’s research concluded that, for every “green job” the Spanish government created, 2.2 jobs were destroyed and that nine out of ten government-created “green jobs” were temporary at a time when Spain’s unemployment rate is at an all-time high, not unlike the situation in the U.S.

At the time that Dr. Calzada’s study was reported, the Obama administration was pushing “Cap-and-Trade” legislation through the House. This legislation would set up a system for the sale, auction, and trade of “carbon credits” based on the totally discredited assertion that “greenhouse gases”, primarily carbon dioxide, were “causing” global warming. The bill remains in the Senate awaiting a vote.

Back in January AWEA was ecstatic over an Obama administration award of $2.3 billion in “clean energy manufacturing tax credits and the President’s call for an additional $5 billion.” There is no economic or scientific justification for the waste of taxpayer dollars in this fashion.

Also in January, a Boston Herald article by Jay Fitzgerald revealed that “National Grid customers will experience sticker shock after the giant utility negotiates a long-term electric contract with Cape Wind developers, energy experts warn.”

“The Rhode Island deal calls for National Grid to pay an eye-popping 24 cents per kilowatt hour for electricity from Deepwater Wind’s proposed wind farm off Block Island for 20 years. That’s three times higher than the current price of natural-gas generated electricity—and the Rhode Island deal includes a 3.5 percent annual increase over the life of the contract.” Continue reading
