Not only is J.L. a fine writer and wordsmith, he is a visionary for for 'seeing' what, where he wants his books to become. This is especially true of what he will be doing down the road with his upcoming books and subjects. He is currently doing a blog tour during March and I wanted to help him. That is why you are reading about him here. I like to bring in new or different topics and I totally support those who are word artists. There is a personal side to this for me as well. My Mum was a poet and short story author, my daughter is a writer, artist. I write bad poetry and short stories. I have just returned to writing after almost 20 years away but this is NOT about me or my long drought away from writing. This is about J.L. McFadden. I love the opportunities to self publish should one decide to publish that route, use ALL the technology available today for authors such as J.L. and so many others. This is not a book review but a chance to help out a great author and friend. Being technologically bankrupt it is the least I can do.
J.L. McFadden and I know each other through Facebook. He is a great person and a most humble young man. You can find a brief bio about him at the end of this post. Allow me to say that he is very intelligent, has traveled extensively, speaks three or four languages and weaves his life experiences into his books and characters. He will be having his books translated into other languages.
I have to be totally honest here and admit that romance/paranormal genre books are not my cup of joe. I am much more of a history, military, political, economic, social type of book junkie. Historical fiction or something along the line of American Betrayal, Red Storm Rising, Stalingrad is what I usually read. That said, I enjoy J.L.'s writing style, use of language and characters. I am looking forward to what he will be releasing in the future, more in the style of mystery and dystopian books. PatriotUSA

Enjoyed writing this A LOT. I think back when people could have offered me a hand up in some way or offered a bit of guidance. I watched me Mum struggle for years and years. So a bit of her is here through what I wrote. She was the best example of wanting to help however possible. Rubbed off on me. You have some serious talent and canny wait to what is down the road and around the next few turns on the highway for you and your writing.
