Darkness, darkness....... things I cannot see

Back when music was music. Just musicians, instruments, speakers, amps, you get the picture.

Yeah, it is dark where I am right now.

Music, the Lord and at the foot of the cross.

Darkness, Darkness Be my pillow Take my head And let me sleep In the coolness of your shadow In the silence of your deep

Darkness, Darkness Hide my yearning For the things I cannot be Keep my mind from constant turning Toward the things I cannot see now Things I cannot see now Things I cannot see

Darkness, darkness, Long and lonesome, Is the day that brings me here I have felt the edge of sadness, I have known the depth of fear. Darkness, darkness, be my blanket, Cover me with the endless night, Take away, take away the pain of knowing, Fill the emptiness of right now, Emptiness of right now, now, now Emptiness of ri-ight now.

Darkness, darkness, be my pillow, Take my hand, and let me sleep. In the coolness of your shadow, In the silence, the silence of your deep. Darkness, darkness, be my blanket, Cover me with the endless night, Take away, take away the pain of knowing Fill the emptiness of right now, Emptiness of right now now now Emptiness of right.... Oh yeah Oh yeah Emptiness, emptiness Oh yeah

These next three are for Nick.

I was at this Traffic concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in 1972. Great venue for a concert. Saw many groups there.

Thanks for the music, I was just speaking to someone about "All Along The Watchtower" on Friday night.

(Kara Thrace playing it on BSG)

I wish there was something I could do to help you out, if only the firm authorised long-distance trips or something, or maybe get some advice for you from someone. Unfortunately you're a long way away, and I can't do anything practically but please be assured that I do think about you over there, and I've spoken about you (and the blog) to a couple of people this side of the Atlantic, people who I trust and know very well, and told them some basic stuff, no details of course, only what you've put in the public domain by writing about it on the blog.

In fact I was speaking about you on Friday night as well - to the person who I mentioned in my email (you know who I mean) - we were looking at some of the websites we each liked etc, and I showed her the corner, and told her that I knew the guy who owned it, and I ended up by saying to that other person (a trustworthy person who has a heart of gold btw) that you were a good guy, and if you lived a closer at hand I'd definitely come round with a bottle of fine Scottish whisky one evening!

There are many, many distilleries within an hour's drive, and there's even a specialist whisky shop about four hundred yards from where I work. So laying my hands on a good bottle of whisky is not a problem, haha .. unfortunately I can't drink whisky any more but I'm pretty sure you'd be able to help me out there!
