I have been an active father and my wife has been involved just as much in both of our kid's education. We home schooled them for years and when they hit middle school or junior high as we called it, we let them attend public school.
Thank God we home schooled both our kids. Our son and daughter are excellent students and even more importantly, well grounded and they have a ton of common. sense. Both get excellent grades and have challenged many of their teachers attempts to brainwash them, especially our son. Our kids were raised that not everyone is a winner, life is not always fair and sometimes you MUST fight back and stand up for yourself, your friends and your beliefs. They know how to defend themselves and have no problem doing so. Our children are at odds with the DOE and NEA. They refuse to eat the pablum or drink the Kool Aid that is forced upon our kids in what goes for public education today.
This letter was in our local fish wrapper and the author hits it spot on in regard to the problems with our schools.
The Bulletin’s Jan. 16 front page news column titled “In schools, self-esteem boosting loses favor to rigor,” speaks volumes about what’s wrong with our country today.
To summarize, a growing body of research over the past three decades concluded that “daily affirmations, awards ceremonies and attendance certificates” lead to little, if any, academic gains. Academia now believes the new buzzwords are “persistence, risk-taking and resilience.” “We used to think we could hand children self-esteem on a platter,” Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck said. “That has backfired.”
One might suspect that grade inflation, peaceful playground rules, and not keeping score fall within their growing body of research as well.
Social and educational elites of this country, sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Education, experimented with two generations of American kids. The result: the physical and mental dumbing down of today’s youth. Is it any wonder that young adults today look to our government for utopian, quixotic solutions rather than their own God-given skills?
Educators spent three decades socially engineering our children’s learning intellect — and failed. What other regressive, life-altering outcomes are in store for Americans when all the regulations and mandates play out from the departments of Health, Housing, Energy, Labor and EPA?
To quote Thomas Jefferson, “My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.” Allowing a powerful federal government to experiment with the welfare of American livelihood is contrary to the founding principles of this nation.

As Jihad i Sverige points out at the top, Malmo today is no longer hope's harbor, rather it is the capital of Swedish anti-Semitism. The Jewish community is leaving Malmo as fast as it can get out, unable to deal with the harassment, assaults and vandalism it suffers from Malmo's Muslim immigrant population, which makes up some 25% of the city's population, and has turned the Rosengard section into a "no-go zone."

Not much has changed in the new Egypt. The military refuses to relinquish control of the government, the radical islamists such as the muslim brotherhood have now gained over 75% of the seats in the new government.
The situation for women overall in egypt continues to get worse: "Instances of sexual assaults on female journalists covering the events in Tahrir Square have continued in the year since Mubarak’s ouster.
According to studies conducted by the Egyptian Center for Women’s Right (ECWR) in 2008, 98 percent of foreign women and 83 percent of Egyptian women surveyed had experienced sexual harassment in Egypt.
Meanwhile, 62 percent of Egyptian men confessed to harassing women and 53 percent of Egyptian men faulted women for “bringing it on.”
When award-winning Egyptian-American columnist Mona el-Tahawy detailed a horrific sexual assault by Egypt police on her personal Twitter account after she was detained for nearly 12 hours in Cairo on November 24, the debate about sexual violence in the square became reignited.
The muslim brotherhood and like minded islamists, who worship allah, his perverted messenger mohammad, would not want this situation changed in any way. Their goal is to see all the Middle East ruled and controlled by sharia law. It is just one more stepping stone on the way to islam establishing a global islamic caliphate.
Foreign woman stripped of clothes, assaulted, in Egypt’s Tahrir Square

CAIRO: A foreign woman was stripped and sexually assaulted on Wednesday evening in Egypt’s iconic Tahrir Square, one eyewitness said on Twitter and another confirmed in an email to Bikyamasr.com.
The woman, who’s identity has not been revealed, was taken away in an ambulance after being assaulted for 10 minutes. Her husband reportedly was unable to intervene and witnessed the incident.
“I saw the woman and then dozens of men surrounded her and started grabbing her, when she screamed for help some people came, but they were hit in the face,” wrote one witness.
What happened next was “appalling,” said the trusted witness, who asked for anonymity. “The men just started tearing at her clothes and grabbing her body all over. When she fought back, they pushed her. It was chaos.”
There were unconfirmed reports that the men “violated” her with their hands.
The nationality of the woman is unknown at the current time.
Throughout the day, sexual harassment towards women has been increasing and more and more reports of women being grabbed and groped began being reported.
Activists called the attacks on women completely “unacceptable” and must be exposed no matter what. They demanded an end to all violence toward women.
“What happened in Tahrir today has no justification and must be fully exposed even if it taints Tahrir!” wrote EgyptSecularist on Twitter.
The incident brings memories of reporter Lara Logan, who was sexually assaulted the night former President Hosni Mubarak gave up power.
A mob of men ripped the 40-year-old correspondent away from her crew and bodyguard, tearing at her clothes and beating her in broad daylight.
“People don’t really know that much about [post-traumatic stress disorder],” she told the New York Daily News in her latest interview on the incident. ”There’s something called latent PTSD. It manifests itself in different ways. I want to be free of it, but I’m not.”
In an interview with “60 minutes” in April, Logan spoke publicly about the incident for the first time. She confided that the attack lasted for about 25 minutes, as 200 to 300 men assaulted her. She feared for her life and imagined that she would not survive, she explained.
Logan was finally pulled to safety by an Egyptian woman and a soldier who witnessed the attack.
She and her team were brought back to their hotel, where she received an examination and medical treatment. She returned to the United States the following morning where she entered hospital for four days.
Logan confided in her latest interview that nightmares about the incident come at unexpected times, like when she is tucking her infant daughter into bed.
Instances of sexual assaults on female journalists covering the events in Tahrir Square have continued to increase in the year since Mubarak’s ouster.
As my friend commented on this horrendous crime committed by a devout and pious muslim; "Headline says it all."
Indeed and in this case, the headline does state all of it about this tragedy.
What is really amazing(at least to me) is that the headline identifies the culturally enriched minority, a muslim and that he is a very devout muslim raised in a very strict muslim home, and a greater muslim environment.
Perhaps the climate is really starting to change across the pond in exposing islam for what it truly is. A 7th century political and social ideology that ensures women are treated like dirt, persecution and death await the non-believers or those who follow a TRUE religion, which islam is not.
Sunny Islam (something rather tragic about his name as there is NOTHING sunny about or within islam!) took it upon himself to punish these women. Their crime? Being out at night. Did Islam think he was doing the will of allah or perhaps he was thinking this is what mohammad would have done? My bet is on both as Mr. Islam is the result of strict muslim life from a very young age that equates to being brainwashed on the superiority of men in every area of life under strict islamic sharia law.

A Muslim man who raped women to 'teach them a lesson' for being on the streets at night was jailed indefinitely today because of the danger he poses to women.
Sunny Islam, 23, who comes from a strict Muslim family, dragged his terrified victims - including a 15-year-old - from the street at knifepoint, bound and assaulted them during a two-month reign of terror.
Police fear that Islam may have attacked many more.
Three of the assaults took place close to his home in Barking, east London, while a fourth occurred in nearby Forest Gate.
Judge Patricia Lees, sentencing him to a minimum of 11 years, said: 'The harm you have done to your victims is incalculable.
'The nature and extent of these offences drives me to the conclusion that you represent an extreme and continuing danger to women, particularly those out at night.'
He was traced through the number plate of his girlfriend's car after he kidnapped and raped the 15-year-old in September 2010.
He grabbed her from behind as she walked home with a friend and bundled her into the car at knifepoint before driving to a secluded spot where he raped her twice despite her claiming she was only 11 years old.
Judge Lees said: 'You told her you were going to "teach her a lesson", and similar things were said to the other women.
'Those words are a chilling indictment of your very troubling attitude towards all of these victims.
'You seem to observe women out at night as not deserving respect or protection.
She said: 'He treated me like an animal and made me feel worthless - I thought I was going to die.'
Six days later, in Forest Gate, he struck again on a 28-year-old when he dragged her into his car and forced her to commit a sex act.
She managed to kick out the back window of his car and escape despite being throttled.
President Obama arrived in Phoenix at 3:15 pm local time, finding the chilly weather of Iowa giving way to sunny skies and temperatures in the high 60s.
He stepped off Air Force One at 3:28 pm and was greeted by Gov. Jan Brewer. She handed him a handwritten letter in an envelope and they spoke intensely for a few minutes. At one point, she pointed her finger at him.
Afterwards, your pooler spoke with the governor.
"He was a little disturbed about my book, Scorpions for Breakfast. I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president. The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt. So."
Asked what aspect of the book disturbed him, Brewer said: "That he didn't feel that I had treated him cordially. I said I was sorry he felt that way but I didn't get my sentence finished. Anyway, we're glad he's here. I'll regroup."
On the letter, she said it was personal letter asking him to sit down with her to discuss the "Arizona comeback."
She said she "reiterated an invitation that I've extended to him before with regards to coming to arizona and going to the border with me." She said she would take him to lunch.
"We've had a remarkable comeback here and I want to share that with him."
She said the president brought up the book.
"I thought we probably would've talked about the things that were important to him and important to me, helping one another. Our country is upside down. Arizona was upside down. But we have turned it around. I know again that he loves this country and I love this country."
It was clear from the moment they greeted one another that this would not be a run-of-the-mill encounter between the president and a local official. At one point, she was pointing her finger at him and at another, they were talking at the same time, seemingly over each other.
He appeared to walk away from her while they were still talking, and she confirmed that by saying she didn't finish her sentence.
When Brewer spoke with your pooler, the AP and an NBC producer for several minutes afterwards, she appeared a bit flustered and taken aback by the conversation. Asked if she was, that's when Brewer said, "I'll regroup."
Saul Alinsky. Just the mention of his name is enough to raise my blood pressure and make me very 'agitated.' In Alinsky's Rules for Radicals he penned what he thought were the basic building blocks of socialist, radical rules on how to get what is not yours or "for the Have-Nots on how to take it away."
Alinsky, obama, I do not see much difference between the two.
Our LSM is so far in the tank for obama they are looking out their back ends to see any daylight at all. Look for the LSM to ratchet up the use of Rule number five as we go deeper into the election year. obama and his minions, soros, moore have been and will continue to use this rule every chance they get. Newt Gingrich was 100% correct in going after King during the debate. Conservatives MUST take off the gloves and start fighting back to expose the liberals and traitors for what they truly are; those who want to take from ALL OF US and give it to those poor downtrodden have-nots and ruin our country in the process.
What LBJ started with his 'Great Society' is alive and well in a very sick sort of way. We are paying a steep price for not fighting back and drawing blood at every turn.

It’s simply not enough for the Republican Party to nominate a person who can neutralize rule number five; it needs someone who can reverse its intended effect."
How Gingrich Is “Newtralizing” Alinsky Method Rule Number Five

When Newt Gingrich scolded CNN’s John King at the South Carolina debate, he didn’t just stand up to the media; he smacked down the Saul Alinsky method. When a candidate does that, he can deliver a knockout blow to Barack Obama, Alinsky’s prized ideological protege.
Take a look at Rule number five of the Alinsky method in Rules for Radicals, which states:
Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
This is exactly what King attempted to do by bringing up the charges made by Newt’s ex-wife in an interview with ABC’s Brian Ross. Did King infuriate Gingrich by asking the question right out of the gate? Yes. Did Gingrich react to King’s advantage? Absolutely not. He channeled the fury of conservatives and delivered a counterattack squarely on the jaw of a liberal media bully; King had been stunned in epic fashion.
Conservatives know that the mainstream media is running interference for Barack Obama while attempting to portray objectivity. Gingrich exposed this dynamic thoroughly and with perfect timing, by making the charge as that reality was on full display for all to see. He connected the dots as the offense was being committed. The more King attempted to hit Gingrich, the more forcefully the former was beaten back by the latter.
One day after the debate, another CNN reporter – Erin Burnett – attempted to wound Gingrich with Rule number five of the Alinsky method. She asked him to respond to charges that he was hypocritical by going after president Bill Clinton in the 1990′s during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, while he was committing similar indescretions. The question was intended to trap Gingrich but it did the opposite; his response made Burnett look foolish for not seeing the clear line of distinction. Clinton committed a felony by perjuring himself; Gingrich did no such thing. Burnett wilted and reacted to Gingrich’s advantage.

The “Dis-Integration” of America ― Part I

It was not just a misplaced sense of egalitarianism but greed, in both its financial and political forms, that drove early desegregation.
The Dawn of Big Government
Lyndon B. Johnson and the Democratic Party’s “Great Society” programs represented social engineering on a scale unseen since Roosevelt’s New Deal, which was just another Democratic boondoggle.
America’s New Deal focused on the "3 Rs" of Relief, Recovery, and Reform. Among its reforms was one of the most detrimental economic strategies imaginable and it was instrumental for the “Great Society” ― with its “War on Poverty” ― to become a reality. This reformation was a shift off of the Gold Standard which allowed the U.S. government to print fiat currency, a crippling addiction that it has not shaken to this very day.
Instead, by printing fiat currency the Federal government has waged a devastating economic war upon its population’s most productive segment, the Middle Class. Being among America’s most diligent savers, inflating the currency supply had a direct effect of looting from Middle Class savings and retirement accounts that which could not be extracted through increased taxes. This is because tax increases were rather routinely opposed by the Middle Class whose conservatism tended to favor small government.
Had the Gold Standard remained in effect, it is questionable as whether the Democratic Party could ever have financed the massive welfare state it then sought to bring about. The damage done to America by this social engineering was not confined to creating a totally dependent class of tax consumers. This push for equal rights would see the abandonment of America’s space exploration and an unheralded diversion of funds into Liberal Socialist programs that bore every prospect of dwarfing the New Deal in both scope and magnitude.
While the New Deal had an adjusted cost of $557 billion (2011), it dealt with the entirety of American society save only the very most wealthy. The “Great Society” was focused largely upon those dwelling below the poverty line, which was some 22% of Americans in 1965. Therefore, its adjusted cost of $344 billion (2011) would require an approximate multiplier of 4.5 times were it to have addressed the majority of Americans in an equal manner. This would make the “Great Society” programs cost some $1.548 trillion (2011), far in excess of the New Deal and surpassed only by one other expenditure. To put this in perspective, the combination of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid took up 43 percent of our national budget in 2010.
As it stands, the future costs of existing New Deal programs sees America facing a standing bill totaling some $50 trillion dollars. Nor was this lingering debt something that could not have been anticipated, even back then. In 1920 the Civil Service Retirement System was started and it soon required taxpayer-funded supplements to meet payments for retired federal employees. From the linked article:
Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin explains LBJ's approach, "The subjects might change, but the essentials remained the same: in the opening, an expression of dire need; in the middle, a vague proposal; in the end, a buoyant description of the anticipated benefits--all contained in an analysis presented in a manner that often failed to distinguish between expectations and established realities ... Pass the bill now, worry about its effects and implementation later--this was the White House strategy." [emphasis added]
All of which is highly reminiscent of the strategy used by South Park’s underpants gnomes.
It is sad to see just how little change there has been over the last half century with respect to America’s planning and enactment of large scale social programs. Despite repeated and clear demonstrations of federal incompetence, a new generation of US voters is being persuaded that their government is capable of managing corporate enterprises where it has absolutely no charter to do so.
The Origins of “Hate Crimes”
Aside from renewed large-scale federal spending, the “Great Society” programs also set in motion anti-discrimination laws which would serve as the cornerstone for today’s Politically Correct “hate speech” and “hate crime” laws. These modern Thoughtcrimelaws found their footing in the Fair Housing Act of 1968.

A principal thrust of this legislation was to remove all legal enforcement of restrictive housing covenants that previously assured neighborhood racial cohesiveness. In doing so, the Fair Housing Act institutionalized unequal protection under the law by creating seven protected classes. These categories were: race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, and familial status.
Little did many expect that this relatively innocuous piece of legislation might serve as part of a lever that would one day drive the most massive default in American history. The cherished “American Dream” would be forcibly wedged into a government equation that had long ago stopped being about individual “pursuit of happiness” and equality of opportunity in favor of equality of outcome and mandated entitlement. Few, at that time, stopped to remember Gerald Ford’s uncharacteristically prescient words:
”A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.”

And give the Federal government did. Between 1945 and 1960 large numbers of federally subsidized home loans were financed through the FHA (Federal Housing Administration) and VA (Veterans Administration).
Redlining
The Federal government refused to back mortgages in “racially changing” (i.e., “redlined”), localities due to them being regarded as higher risk propositions. Thus was de facto segregation enforced by law and it provided largely White loan recipients with a solid taste of how crime-free such neighborhoods could be.
It is a small wonder that Whites so vigorously resisted newly mandated laws regarding home sales which only served to devastate this once Elysian setting. This will soon bring us to the role that financial greed played in destroying much of the urban “American Dream”. First, however, it is necessary to examine the other side of Big Government’s segregation coin.
The Not-So Civil Rights Act
Another “Great Society” program was the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This sweeping response to Jim Crow violated Constitutional freedoms with respect to both right of association, management-employee relations and the ability of States to determine their own racial policies under the Tenth Amendment. Many Republicans opposed this fundamental bias contained by the Civil Rights Act, something that probably even cost Barry Goldwater the 1964 presidential election.
A bare few managed to foresee that this sort of obligatory socialization would create an over-reliance by minorities upon government mediation in what were largely public affairs of individual choice. Conversely, these same “protected classes” also began to automatically presume upon their protection as a form of entitlement. This sense of prerogative was only further augmented by a lavish program of welfare benefits that would, in reality, serve to create an entire a near-permanent underclass of multi-generation urban dwellers that were wholly dependent upon government ― in reality, taxpayer ― largesse.
While the United States Housing Act of 1937 made provisions for government sponsored assistance to low income families and individuals, this did not come into its own until 1965 with the Section 23 Leased Housing Program. It was further amended in 1974 to create the now familiar Section 8 housing program.
Massive inner city housing projects served to cluster together poverty-line residents and became a breeding ground for some of the most concentrated urban crime activity ever seen at that time. The swift decline of living conditions in these gigantic housing blocks only served to aggravate public perception of them as warehouses for drug addicts and street thugs. Conversely, these aggregations of low income residents also created a sort of de facto segregation.

Such urban housing projects were notorious for being predominately Black in population. This bunching together of Blacks engendered a proliferation of mannerisms, patois and what can only be called “social rituals” that tended to create an artificial “culture” which derived from what were mostly impoverished circumstances. Attempts by Blacks to enshrine so-called “Ebonics” is a prime example of this.
A useful comparison is how American Black “Soul Food” ― similar with respect to many other peasant culture cuisines ― was, in reality, a reflection of the inadequate nutritional resources made available to slaves at that time. While glorified in this modern era as a genuine artifact of early slave culture it, nonetheless, does not represent a truly healthful or nourishing bill of fare. Perhaps, even more ironic, is the simple fact that a low-calorie regimen of traditional “Soul Food” would better serve many typically obese American Blacks than the sugary and fattening fast-food diet they often seem to prefer.
So it was that the atmosphere in many urban housing projects cultivated a crop of highly negative behavioral modes that weren’t being reinforced so much by supposedly “oppressive” external influences than voluntary internal ones.
The Dream
This was the fertile ground encountered by much of America’s late century “Black Power” movement that was largely responsible ― along with other Culturally Marxist mindsets ― for embedding a strong sense of victimhood and entitlement now currently in evidence among many urban Blacks. This largely unwarranted sense of entitlement only promised to grow and spread into other parts of the population.
The Reality
Unbeknownst at the time both to Liberals and Conservatives alike, these gargantuan apartment blocks and Section 8 housing programs were, perhaps, America’s first genuine glimpse of how Liberal Socialist intentions would just as often pave a road straight to hell.
Blockbusting
Enter rapacious real estate agents and the unsavory but lucrative practice of “blockbusting”. Frequently, several small realtors would pool funds in order to finance the purchase of a dwelling in a predominantly White neighborhood specifically so that it could then be sold to a Black or minority family. This prompted an immediate exodus by White residents in an attempt to dodge the certain decline in property values that would so often follow. This allowed these same disreputable realtors to then “flip” all of the remaining homes; often at handsome profits as anxious White owners sacrificed hard earned equity for the sake of a swift sale.
Through construction of inner city housing projects and gradual dismantling of urban residential areas through blockbusting, there arose the phenomenon that SBPDL has accurately labeled as “Black Undertow”. It is an almost irresistible force that has already seen once great cities like Detroitreduced to the status of Third World living standards. Nearly all Black run cities and counties reflect this trend.
Most ironic of all is how so many of these government efforts at forcing racial harmony are not just spectacularly unsuccessful but that they can actually serve to worsen tensions. There is no Constitutional law that forbids an individual from being racist. Only public condemnation can serve to chastise such a stance. Instead, through the Civil Rights Act and its Fair Housing Program, America’s government had sought to legislate morality. It is a Sisyphean task and one which government has no legitimate part in.
How strange is it that modern America is just as segregated today as it was half a century ago? Jared Taylor atAmerican Renaissance had this to say: (Video time point ― 06:06)
“White people say they’re all in favor of integration and yet there is a profoundly important act of integration that they could undertake but they almost never do. A White person could buy a house in a Black neighborhood. Nowadays there are plenty of middle class Black neighborhoods where a White person would be perfectly safe. But not even the most Liberal Whites will take that basic integrationist step. Despite what they say they, too, prefer the company of Whites. Just as I do.
Were you aware that the statistics for residential segregation in the United States are almost identical to what they were fifty or sixty years ago? Despite all of the encouragement and propaganda in favor of mixing of the races, Whites prefer to live with Whites and Blacks prefer to live with Blacks, Asians… Hispanics … there is self-segregation virtually across the board.”
Clearly, government mandated desegregation does not work.
Subsequent parts of this article will examine how a prevalent sense of entitlement has acted to help destroy much of what has been built up over the last 100 years. There will also be a brief look at ways of possibly averting what threatens to be a race war of national proportions.
David Horowitz's Freedom Center has placed an ad in THE Ohio State University newspaper (The Lantern) that has the little rascals all riled up. It lists former Muslim Student Association leaders of various college campuses who have gone on to join the ("lesser") jihad. Frontpage Magazine also has a report about the controversy.
Again, I invite my Muslim readers, especially those who are involved with the Muslim Student Union at UC Irvine, to weigh in. I think we can have a respectful discussion on this topic. Does the ad stigmatize all Muslims on college campuses or even all MSU/MSA members?
What about the statement that there is a fine line between freedom of speech and hate speech? How does this compare with statements made at UCI over the years by Amir Abdel Malik Ali, Mohammed al Asi, and others?
When obama bowed to the pig king of Saudi Arabia he was predicting, paving the way for the downfall of the United States as an ally and protector in not only the Middle East, but to the rest of our friends and allies.
The disgusting apologies of obama for the supposedly 'horrible actions' of the United States in our past history have done tremendous damage to U.S. foreign policy. To obama, the United States IS NOT EXCEPTIONAL nor should we be proud of our past history. These actions, deeds by obama and his administration have not only weakened our image abroad but the potus has undermined and stabbed our military in the back.
Instead of vaulting the image of the United States throughout the arab world, we are now the laughing stock of the muslim world. We are loathed and ridiculed abroad.
How about women, Christian Copts, and other minorities in the 'new' egypt or muslim world?

As for women, their main claim to fame since Mubarak's overthrow has been their sexual victimization at the hands of soldiers who stripped female protesters and performed "virginity tests" on them. Out of nearly five hundred seats in parliament, only 10 will be filled by women."
Do you think obama is upset by any of the above? I seriously doubt that he loses any sleep over the degradation of the United States or weeps for the Copts and women of egypt. I feel this was what he set out to do, make our country more like the rest of the world. In other words, we should be ashamed of our exceptionalism, our progress, our standing up for freedom all around the globe.
Obama's arab spring has been a disaster for us, the people of the United States, for our military and the ability to be prepared to fight off more than one or two enemies at a time, protect ourselves and our assets on two or fronts at the same time.
Instead of true freedom and democracy taking root in egypt, yemen, libya, we see the radical islamists, the muslim brotherhood being 'voted' into power. One look at egypt and the over 70% of the votes the muslim brotherhood won and it is clear to see that American foreign policy has been flushed down the toilet in the obama's bathroom. Of course obama more than likely views this, as a win win policy in his perverted socialist world view. Dictators and totalitarian leaders have been removed from power and Israel is now more isolated than ever. Do not be fooled for one second that obama cares even a tiny bit for the well being and survival of the Jewish state. His actions have proven otherwise. Israel was always limited in what it could get from the arab world so Israel did not lose a lot in the arab spring. The United States on the other hand has lost much more.

America and the Arab Spring

A year ago this week, on January 25, 2011, the ground began to crumble under then-Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak's feet. One year later, Mubarak and his sons are in prison, and standing trial.
This week, the final vote tally from Egypt's parliamentary elections was published. The Islamist parties have won 72 percent of the seats in the lower house.
The photogenic, Western-looking youth from Tahrir Square the Western media were thrilled to dub the Facebook revolutionaries were disgraced at the polls and exposed as an insignificant social and political force.
As for the military junta, it has made its peace with the Muslim Brotherhood. The generals and the jihadists are negotiating a power-sharing agreement. According to details of the agreement that have made their way to the media, the generals will remain the West's go-to guys for foreign affairs. The Muslim Brotherhood (and its fellow jihadists in the Salafist al-Nour party) will control Egypt's internal affairs.

The Western media are centering their attention on what the next Egyptian constitution will look like and whether it will guarantee rights for women and minorities. What they fail to recognize is that the Islamic fundamentalists now in charge of Egypt don't need a constitution to implement their tyranny. All they require is what they already have - a public awareness of their political power and their partnership with the military.
The same literalist approach that has prevented Western observers from reading the writing on the walls in terms of the Islamists' domestic empowerment has blinded them to the impact of Egypt's political transformation on the country's foreign policy posture. US officials forcefully proclaim that they will not abide by an Egyptian move to formally abrogate its peace treaty with Israel. What they fail to recognize is that whether or not the treaty is formally abrogated is irrelevant. The situation on the ground in which the new regime allows Sinai to be used as a launching ground for attacks against Israel, and as a highway for weapons and terror personnel to flow freely into Gaza, are clear signs that the peace with Israel is already dead - treaty or no treaty.
One year later, the elements of the US's alliance structure have either been destroyed or seriously weakened. US allies like Saudi Arabia, which have yet to be seriously threatened by the revolutionary violence, no longer trust the US. As the recently revealed nuclear cooperation between the Saudis and the Chinese makes clear, the Saudis are looking to other global powers to replace the US as their superpower protector.
Perhaps the most amazing aspect to the US's spectacular loss of influence and power in the Arab world is that most of its strategic collapse has been due to its own actions. In Egypt and Libya the US intervened prominently to bring down a US ally and a dictator who constituted no threat to its interests. Indeed, it went to war to bring Gaddafi down.
Moreover, the US acted to bring about their fall at the same time it knew that they would be replaced by forces inimical to American national security interests. In Egypt, it was clear that the Muslim Brotherhood would emerge as the strongest political force in the country. In Libya, it was clear at the outset of the NATO campaign against Gaddafi that al-Qaida was prominently represented in the anti-regime coalition. And just as the Islamists won the Egyptian election, shortly after Gaddafi was overthrown, al-Qaida forces raised their flag over Benghazi's courthouse.
US actions from Yemen to Bahrain and beyond have followed a similar pattern.
