Stealth jihad in our school districts. This is how islam creeps in

This is what makes me sick. Stupid dhimmi asshat progressive morons who think that if we work with muslims by allowing this kind of garbage into our school systems, local governments, that muslims will 'like and accept us' even more than they already pretend to do. How much islamic taqiyya will they throw at these poor deluded fools who are riding the multicultural train straight into hell for their schools and worse, for their children.

"“There are no religious charter schools in North Carolina,” said Vanessa Jeter, communications director for the N.C. Department of Public Instruction. “State taxpayer dollars cannot support religious schools.”

Griggs said he understands the law and knows any future charter school could not be presented as an exclusively Muslim academy.

But a charter school possibly could be created in which Arabic is emphasized and taught as any other foreign language, he said.

Sounds like a plan…to deceive the unbelievers by emphasizing Arabic…to disguise an Islamic school funded by taxpayers.

Will Islamic school planned in Winston-Salem be taxpayer funded?

An Islamic school is coming to Winston-Salem. The only question appears to be whether it will be funded by taxpayers or not. via Mosque leaders want a full-time Islamic school in Winston-Salem

Winston-Salem will have a full-fledged Islamic school within the next two years, say leaders at the Community Mosque of Winston-Salem.

“We’re exploring all possibilities,” said Imam Khalid Griggs. “We have a commitment from the mosque’s leadership to make this happen.”

Leaders are looking into creating a private school or a charter school.

Islamic private schools already operate in several North Carolina cities, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro and Durham.

The United States had 235 elementary or secondary private schools with an Islamic orientation in 2008, according to the latest count from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Mosque leaders in Winston-Salem have looked into whether their current location at 1419 Waughtown St., the site of a former church, could be used for the school.

But state law requires that kindergarten and primary school classrooms have a door or emergency exit to the outside, and the classrooms in the mosque don’t have this.

“So we’d have to buy land and build,” Griggs said. “The current mosque would not work.”

North Carolina has a cap on charter schools, with the cutoff at 100.

Ninety-nine charter schools operate in North Carolina today, with the 100th already approved, said Joel Medley, a consultant with the Office of Charter Schools in the N.C. Department of Education.

“It looks like the incoming legislature might look at this issue,” and perhaps raise or get rid of the cap, Medley said.

In any case, N.C. law states that charter schools, which receive government funding, must be nonsectarian, meaning that they cannot be attached to a religious entity. Charter schools are public but operate outside the system of regular schools and generally follow a specialized curriculum or operating principles.

“There are no religious charter schools in North Carolina,” said Vanessa Jeter, communications director for the N.C.

Muslim enclaves in the United States. One is far too many.

Islam and the Muslims who are entrenched in this ideology are creeping into and across America. You may have heard about some of these muslim enclaves but this post should really open up some eyes and minds. We, us, this country is under attack from Islam on so many different levels. I see such enclaves as outlined in the following article as just one more form of jihad. As many Counter Jihadists have said, "Jihad is Jihad." There are many links to check out and the article is a bit long but PLEASE, read this and share it. Many of the muslims named in this article are among the worst instigators representing Islam, in turn the plan of continued jihad and the establishment of a global Islamic caliphate This is from Creeping Sharia.

Muslim Enclaves U.S.A.

In New York alone, there is ‘Little Pakistan’, ‘Little Palestine’, and ‘Little Kabul’. Minnesota has ‘Little Mogadishu’. There’s Dearbornistan and much has been written about Northern Virginiastan. There were even plans for a Muslim subdivision in Indiana, although the original story is no longer found online and it’s not clear if the development was built.

Ryan Mauro, founder of WorldThreats.com, provides much more on the Islamization of America via FrontPage Magazine.

Muslim Enclaves U.S.A.

It seems almost unthinkable, but Islamist groups are, as we speak, hard at work creating Muslim states-within-states in the U.S. Indeed, this process has been unfolding for a long time across the Western world, through the creation of isolated Muslim enclaves in both rural and urban areas, as well as through the designation of “no-go zones” where governments admit to having little authority over Muslims living there, essentially leaving them to function as autonomous regions.

Daniel Pipes has tracked numerous examples since 2004 of Muslim groups working to create communities based solely on Islam and run by Sharia law. As discussed by David Kennedy Houck in 2006, “Although such concepts are antithetical to a free society, U.S. democracy allows the internal enclave to function beyond the established boundaries of our constitutional framework.”

For example, one such community, Gwynn Oak, has been created in Baltimore, Maryland, consisting of Muslim immigrants and African-American converts. The project is led by John Yahya Cason, director of the Islamic Education and Community Development Initiative. Cason explained that the neighborhood is a response to the problem that “Muslim communities are ruled by Western societal tenets, many of which clash with Islamic norms.” In his opinion, there is a need for communities with “the totality of the essential components of Muslim social, economic, and political structure.” As such, the Gwynn Oak enclave follows specific moral rules based on Islam and people there speak Arabic. On September 13, 2009, the construction of its three-story mosque began. Approximately 400 Muslims now live in the vicinity.

Another example involves the Islamic Center for Human Excellence, which receives funding from the United Arab Emirates. In August 2004, it was granted permission to build a Muslim neighborhood in Little Rock, Arkansas, complete with a mosque, school, and 22 homes; it would not allow the presence of alcohol. The goal was for Muslims to find an area to escape the alleged crime and depravity of American life, although the imam behind the effort said that non-Muslims are welcome to join.

Far more radical groups than these are now taking the lead in promoting and creating Islamic enclaves on U.S. soil.

One such organization is As-Sabiqun, headed by Imam Abdul Alim Musa, who is very honest about his disturbing objectives. The group’s website calls for installing Islamic law worldwide, fighting for “oppressed” Muslims, and “build[ing] model communities where Islam is lived.” The website contains a point-by-point plan to assemble mini-states in America, beginning with the construction of a mosque and finishing with “establishing geographical integrity by encouraging Muslims of the community to live in close proximity to the masjid [mosque]” and “establishing social welfare institutions.”

The ideology espoused by Musa and As-Sabiqun is undeniably radical. The website boasts about Musa’s early endorsement of Ayatollah Khomeini and the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. It also is unafraid to say that As-Sabiqun members follow people like Hasan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood; Maulana Mawdudi, who called on Muslims to wage jihad until Sharia law is in place over the globe; and Sayyid Qutb, the Muslim Brotherhood member whose preaching inspired Osama bin Laden. Musa himself has argued that the CIA and Israel were behind the 9/11 attacks. He has admitted that he “like[s]” bin Laden, calls Hezbollah “a great organization,” and says Hamas members are “very nice people.”

Muslims of the Americas, led by Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani in Pakistan, is a very similar group with very similar aims, though its focus is more rural than urban. It admits to owning at least 22 “villages” around the country that are dozens of acres large and operate under names like “Islamberg,” “Holy Islamville,” and “Aliville.” These Muslim-only lands are open to outsiders solely during planned outreach events and sometimes to journalists.

This group has received considerable media attention due to allegations that its isolated compounds are used for paramilitary training, an accusation bolstered by a videotape released by the Christian Action Network. On that tape, a speaker is seen declaring the U.S. a Muslim country and pledging that Muslims of the Americas will defend American Muslims from foreign and domestic enemies.

The ideology of Muslims of the Americas is comparable to that of As-Sabiqun, although it is more centered on following Gilani as a representative of God who is capable of creating miracles. Gilani is very anti-Semitic, describing Jews as “an example of human Satans”; like Musa, he insists that a Jewish-Zionist conspiracy is behind the attacks of September 11, 2001, and other schemes to harm Muslims. He calls bin Laden a “Saudi activist,” while claiming to meet with Jesus and personally to have introduced the Mahdi to a select few.

The Department of Homeland Security says that Muslims of the Americas is linked to Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani terrorist group. The State Department’s Patterns of Global Terrorism report in 1998 described ul-Fuqra as an “Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.” Other fronts for the group include the International Quranic Open University, the United Muslim-Christian Forum, the Islamic Post newspaper, the Muslim Scouts of America, the Hands to Hands charity, Muslim Vets, the American Muslim Medical and Relief Team, and the Islamic Naat Group.

Another collective aspiring to create autonomous Muslim regions in the U.S. is called the Ummah. On October 28, 2009, the FBI tried to arrest one of its leaders, Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, for his involvement in criminal activity alongside some of his followers. A shootout ensued that took the life of Abdullah and one police dog. Like Muslims of the Americas, Abdullah offered his flock martial arts training and, in some cases, firearms instruction. He also had his own armed security team and preached war against the U.S. government and solidarity with bin Laden, the Taliban, and Hezbollah.

The FBI describes the Ummah as a “nationwide radical fundamentalist Sunni group consisting mainly of African-Americans” and says that its goal is to create “a separate, sovereign Islamic state (‘the Ummah’) within the borders of the United States, governed by Sharia law. The Ummah is to be ruled over by Jamil Abdullah al-Amin, formerly known as H. Rap Brown.” The death of Luqman Ameen Abdullah did not destroy this aim.

Although the Muslim Brotherhood and its American affiliates are not directly trying to create Islam-based towns within the U.S., they are helpful to the efforts to do so. The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Michigan branch rushed to Abdullah’s defense and the American Muslim Taskforce demanded an investigation into his death. In addition, various Brotherhood affiliates have given Musa speaking platforms, including at major universities.

Also involved is Kenny Gamble, a major music producer who now goes by the name of Luqman Abdul Haqq. Gamble has been accused of trying to create a “black Muslim enclave” in Philadelphia, closely following the plan put forth by As-Sabiqun. Notably, he has a leadership position with the Muslim Alliance in North America; Abdullah also served as a leader of MANA and Musa’s name was once listed there, but has since been removed. This suggests some level of cooperation among these groups and individuals for their common goals.

The possibility that Muslim-only towns and urban enclaves could be created inside the U.S. seems like a fantasy to most Americans at the moment, but there is precedent in Europe. The French government actually has a website where it tabulates 751 “sensitive urban zones,” which have been accurately described as “no-go zones.” In these areas, which are mostly populated by Muslim immigrants, there is a high level of crime and hostility to any governing authority, including law enforcement. Police officers do not regularly patrol the areas and they are as close to being autonomous regions as possible without the erecting of an actual parallel government.

The construction of the building blocks for similar Muslim enclaves and “no-go zones” in the U.S. is one of the most disturbing programs of Islamist groups. If successful, these territories will be the first to establish Sharia law in the country, thus offering a profound challenge to America’s constitutional order. ~end

Hizb ut-Tahrir: A really nasty Islamic organization.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of many Islamic organizations and groups that have way too much freedom in the United States. As many will say, "this is about freedom of speech", I would have to agree with you. That said, HT spews anti-Semitic speech and hatred on a very regular basis. There is nothing redeeming or worthwhile about HT unless you want to see the United States become another notch on the gun stock on the march to establish a global Islamic caliphate, ruled completely by Islam and sharia law. Not a pretty future to think about. If you do not think that is what Islamic groups like this set out to do, you MUST read Gadi Adelman's Op-ed here. I cannot say enough about Gadi. He is one the most knowledgeable people in the world about Islam and terrorism. Gadi was speaking out about terrorism long before others had even given it any thought or acknowledged that it was and is a problem. A big problem. HT is but one of many Islamic groups that I think should be banned, outlawed and all their funding seized.

Why Is This Islamist Group Still Legal In The USA?
By Gadi Adelman

Hizb ut-Tahrir was due to hold its second annual conference in Chicago on July 11, before the Marriott Hotel canceled the booking. Isn’t it about time they were just banned from the U.S. all together?

Why Is This Islamist Group Still Legal In The USA?

They have been banned by most countries in the Middle East. Even not so moderate countries such as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Turkey, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and yes, even Pakistan. They are barred from Germany, all the former Soviet states in Central Asia, Russia and the Netherlands.

They came close to being banned in the UK in August 2005 when then-Prime Minister Tony Blair announced his intentions to ban the group. That was until threats of riots made him drop the idea. I am of course speaking of Hizb ut-Tahrir (the Party of Liberation).

Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT) still operates freely here in the US and just last year held their first conference “The rise of Islam and the fall of Capitalism”in Chicago shortly after Obama became President. According to Bridgette Gabriel of ACT for America:

“The Islamic Party of Liberation focuses on recruiting boys between the ages of 8 and 18 years old to become suicide bombers and Jihadists to advance Islam throughout the world.”

HT has been linked to being responsible for terrorist acts or plots throughout the world including Germany, Uzbekistan, Israel, China, Central Asia and Russia just to name a few. The group which was founded in 1953 by Mohammed Taqiuddin al-Nabhani has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, one of the world’s oldest Islamist organizations. Two close associates and mentors to Taqiuddinal-Nabhani's would themselves become senior figures in the Muslim Brotherhood hierarchy.

HT hands out material and posts on their websites the call for the end of Democracy with it being replaced by Sharia law. They have even called for death to anyone that leaves Islam and continue to do so as reported on July 1, 2010 by the Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) website:

“Human rights activists had been informing Chicago area hotels of Hizbut-Tahrir America’s decision last year to distribute pamphlets (pdf) calling for the “death penalty” for those who seek freedom of religion to leave Islam. At Hizb ut-Tahrir America’s July 19, 2009 event in Chicago, they distributed a pamphlet (page 62) that supports killing those individuals who leave Islam as guilty of “treason and a political attack on the Khilafah.” The Hizb ut-Tahrir America website promoting this year’s conference in Chicago promotes links to the main Hizb ut-Tahrir website, Khilafah.com, where this pamphlet is still distributed online by Hizb ut-Tahrir.

At the December 2009 event at the Lombard cohttp://gadiadelman.com/articles/articles-by-type/53-why-is-this-islamist-group-still-legal-in-the-usammunity center, Hizb ut-Tahrir America denounced democracy, denounced “the Kafir,” and urged Muslim attendees “do not take the Jews and Christians for your allies.” HT also blamed U.S. President Obama as part of a plot to take over Muslim-majority nations. Hizb ut-Tahrir rejects democracy because it “is the rule of people, for the people, by the people.” (page 24). Hizb ut-Tahrir has called for Muslims to boycott voting.

HT has had a history of seeking to promote a global Islamic caliphate government, in seeking to train teenagers for “jihad” (page 37), has reportedly been involved in threats against Jews, Hindus, and has reportedly threatened Muslim university officials.HT also rejects the “gender equality movement” for women’s rights, saying that women must pursue a global Islamic caliphate instead. British media have reported that intelligence sources state that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed spent time with Hizb ut-Tahrir, and that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was “former member of the Jordanian branch of Hizb.” Continue reading

Dearborn, Dearbornistan, Dearborn Arabia: Gadi Adelman

From Gadi Adelman. Gadi has been calling out warnings for years. Many of us have but Gadi has been in and on the first wave of sounding the alarm about Islam and sharia law. Now it is here, spreading out shoots and has become a near malignant cancer in this country. There are those on the left who have put out negative reports about this, the truth about what really happened in Dearbornistan. One thing about Gadi, he does his research and has his facts down cold. This is the real deal, with the facts to back it up.

Welcome to Dearborn, Arabia
By Gadi Adelman

Four Christians were arrested at an Arab festival charged with “Breach of the peace”, their cameras confiscated, for giving out Christian literature. This took place right here, enacting Sharia in America.

When I wrote about creeping Sharia in America back in January in my article “One Nation under Allah” I was called an “Islamophobe.” In March I co-wrote “Are we financing our own demise” with Joy Brighton, an expert in Sharia finance. For that, I was called an “alarmist.” Also in March I wrote an article in which I told the truth about the treatment of women who live under Sharia law and I was called a “racist”. In April I wrote about the amount of terror that stems from Islam. I was called a “hate monger”. Last week in my article “You’re doin’ fine Oklahoma” I wrote about the ban of Sharia in Oklahoma and was told I was “crazy” to believe that Sharia could ever happen here in America.

Well, to all my critics, welcome to Dearborn, Michigan.

According to the Thomas More Law Center news:

“ANN ARBOR, MI – In what some have described as police enforcement of Sharia law at the annual Dearborn Arab International Festival, last Friday night Dearborn Police Officers arrested four Christian missionaries and illegally confiscated their video cameras which were recording the events surrounding their arrests. The Thomas More Law Center, a public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, today announced it is representing all of the Christian missionaries.

Arrested on charges of Breach of the Peace are: Negeen Mayel, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, Paul Rezkalla, and David Wood. Mayel, an eighteen year old female, whose parents emigrated from Afghanistan and a recent convert from Islam to Christianity, was also charged with failure to obey a police officer’s orders. She was approximately 100 feet away and videotaping a discussion with some Muslims when her camera was seized.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, commented, “These Christian missionaries were exercising their Constitutional rights to free speech and the free exercise of religion, but apparently the Constitution carries little weight in Dearborn, where the Muslim population seems to dominate the political apparatus. It’s apparent that these arrests were a retaliatory action over the embarrassing video of the strong arm tactics used last year by Festival Security Guards. This time, the first thing police officers did before making the arrests was to confiscate the video cameras in order to prevent a recording of what was actually happening.”

Thompson continued, “Contrary to the comments made by Police Chief Ron Haddad, our Constitution does not allow police to ban the right of free speech just because there are some hecklers. Not all police officers approve of the way their department treated these Christians.”

Robert Muise, Senior Trial Counsel with the Law Center in charge of the case, yesterday faxed a letter to Chief Haddad demanding that the three video cameras and tapes illegally seized from the missionaries be immediately returned.”

As the time of writing this, their cameras have yet to be returned. I, for one, have to wonder if - when these cameras are returned - the memory cards will have mysteriously been wiped clean or disappeared.

In case as you were reading this, you missed it… The Chief of Police of Dearborn is Ronald Haddad. Yes, we can assume that Chief Haddad is a Muslim. Those that I have spoken to involved in this case have confirmed this.

Last Tuesday evening I was able to interview David Wood, one of those arrested, on the radio show “Radio Jihad” which I co-host weekly. David stated :

“Three of the four that were arrested were not even speaking to anyone at the time of the arrest, but they were just filming. They were standing on the sidewalk and not stopping anyone from coming or going or impeding pedestrian traffic.”

David also explained that:

“Two thirds of Dearborn, Michigan is Muslim.”

According to David’s website “Answering Muslims”:

“In Dearborn, they are giving one religion special status (establishment of religion), prohibiting the free exercise of our religion, preventing our freedom of speech, and denying our right to assemble peaceably. (And we haven't even gotten to other rights that were violated, such as having our cameras illegally seized, having a police department illegally retain information that exonerates us, having us wrongly charged and imprisoned, etc.)”

“We were arrested for having a peaceful dialogue with Muslims. The police claimed we were being disruptive. We invited them to view the video footage, which would prove our innocence. They refused, preferring to take us to jail when we had indisputable proof against the false charges. Police seized our cameras illegally, and have to this day refused to share the footage with us, footage that will completely exonerate us. Police Chief Ronald Haddad refuses to return our cameras; despite the fact that he knows we are innocent.”

Witnesses to the arrest reported some very disturbing things as well. A Coptic (Egyptian Christian) woman called Maria noted:

“A police officer had removed the camera from David and proceeded to handcuff him. I heard David calmly assure, "It’s okay. No big deal," while being handcuffed. All three men were escorted out of the group with their hands behind their backs. The police were carrying the cameras that Paul and David had been using. Neither of the arrested men resisted, and were very compliant as they were heading out of the crowd, to where the police had been stationed. People within the crowd were cheering, shouting "Allah akbar!" while clapping and shouting. The police continued walking out of the group. When a single man shouted "Jesus is Lord!" one officer who had already passed him, came back and told him to "be quiet". Neither of the officers said anything to the crowd of Muslims that were cheering, while shouting "Allah akbar!" After taking Paul, David, and Nabeel to the parking lot where the police were stationed, many security guards had followed and formed two groups. A smaller group of around three security guards were standing closer to the police. A larger group of around five security guards were farther away. Paul, David, and Nabeel were put into a van and taken away.”

So, let me get this straight. David, Paul, Nabeel and Negeen were arrested and charged with “Breach of the peace” for standing and speaking to people that came up to themand filming, but the people that screamed “Allah akbar” were not? And, the gentleman that yelled “Jesus is Lord” was told to be quiet by the police? Yeah, and I’m the “crazy” one.

After they were released the group went back to the festival and stayed outside on the sidewalk and attempted to hand out pamphlets of the Gospel of John in English with Arabic translation. Not three minutes went by before the police again stopped them. Here is the link to that video.

The last time I checked, The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

For purposes of comparison, under Sharia law:

“Non-Muslims are not allowed to proclaim their beliefs to Muslims and Muslims are forbidden to leave Islam, leaving Islam is “apostasy” with the possible penalty of death”.

What Constitution are the Dearborn police following? Do we really have to wonder whether or not Sharia is here? In an earlier article - “How Do You Plead, Guilty or Not Guilty? ‘I Plead Muslim!’” I pointed out that States within the U.S. were setting precedents in our judicial system for Sharia law. Once again, I was told I was crazy to ever think that Sharia law would be allowed in our system of justice due to our Constitution. A lawyer friend of mine who is a Professor of Constitutional law told me:

“Sharia is not compatible with the U.S. Constitution, it can never happen.”

Well, he is correct about one thing; Sharia is not compatible with our Constitution.

As if our Constitution being trampled is not enough, Police Chief Ronald Haddad was recently appointed to serve on the Homeland Security Advisory Council, which provides advice and recommendations to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on matters related to homeland security. Well, once again, I guess I am the crazy one.

I have been warning and writing and speaking about this for years, I urged you all to speak up and speak out. I said that we in America only have to look at the U.K. or Europe to see where we are headed if something is not done soon and now it has happened.

I am not proud to say “I warned you”, it is here people, Sharia in America. Our Nation that was founded on Judeo-Christian values and principals has now seen the arrest of four people for exercising their rights at an Arab festival.

What are you going to do about it? Contact your Representatives, call the Mayor of Dearborn? You can contact the Dearborn office of the Mayor at 313-943-2300 or Dearborn Police Department at 313-943-2240.

Hitler wrote:

“You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?”

You choose which way you want to live, while you still can.

The MSA: An Inside look and read what he discovered.

Many know what the Muslim Brotherhood has spawned in this country and abroad. One of the most dispicable organizations ever to come from the MB is the Muslim Studenst Association. Here is what Larry Hart has to say about the MSA and other groups:

"Groups like the MSA, CAIR, The American Muslim Council, The Muslim Public Affairs Council, and others give the outward appearance that they are community based organizations working toward the betterment of the Muslim community.

Well, if you consider the completion of Jihad, the establishment of Sharia law through Dar el-Harb (the world war) as betterment of the community then that would be an accurate statement.

In reality these are mostly front groups who advocate sometimes openly, sometimes clandestinely to further the cause of Jihad in the United States. Of course, not all Muslims are suicide bombers. But, many, more than you would think an acceptable number are sympathetic toward the suicide bomber’s goals.

They all really need to be watched more closely than they are currently.

The Muslim Students Association in particular might be the most subversive and influential politicized group on campus since the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) almost succeeded in radically changing a generation of young people in the 1960s."

Inside the Muslim Students Association
Conservative Examiner:Larry Hart

MSA rally asking for donations for Hamas in Gaza. The money isn't for food and supplies. If that was the case Palestinians in Gaza would have been eating plenty already. The money goes to promote more terror aganist Israel. This guy is actually lobbying for weapons that will kill Jewish children.

I went back to school after many years of being out to get my degree. I majored in history with a focus on the Middle East and with a particular interest in studying Islamic history. So I took a lot of those kinds of classes where I came in contact with many of the Muslim students at my institution.

I was usually the one dissenting voice in the classroom when it came to things like the Israel-Palestine conflict, the war on terror, and the clash of civilizations. Being right after 9-11 we were all so very sensitive on both sides about what the course of the future should bring.

Since I was older it was easier for them to just right me off. After all what do older people know, right? When you’re in early twenties you think you know everything, and political radicals of all kinds well, that’s even worse.

What was that saying attributed to Churchill about liberal thinking? If you’re not a left winger at twenty you’ve got no heart, if you’re still a left winger at forty, you’ve got no brains. Or something like that.

So, I gained a bit of a reputation among leftists and Muslims as being a combination O’reilly devotee and idiot. Ok, fine.

While taking an Islamic history class on the Ottoman Empire 15th-20th century, I saw a poster on the wall of the classroom asking for membership in the Muslim Students Association (MSA).

I am reasonably sure that the MSA has a national directive to collect for Islamic charities during their meetings. And, as we have seen through several well researched, published accounts that many times this money ends up in the hands of Hamas, Islamic Jihad or other al-Queda like organizations, for the express purpose of killing Jews and Christians.

As despicable as that is, they are still allowed to operate under the freedoms granted to them in this country,

I already knew of their activities from the displays and activism they utilized on campus, but still, I would fantasize how cool it would be to be a fly on the drapes during their meetings listening to them wax eloquent about everything from how they are being persecuted as Muslims to what kind of degrading spectacle they can come up with to offend Jews in the community.

As much as I would have liked to have been part of those discussions, I knew that could never be, because my face, if not my name, was too well known to be able to move around an organization like that without being spotted, and then ousted.

However, after giving it some more thought my name was a bit more obscure. Professors would sometimes call on students without saying anything and sometimes it was “Larry,” or “Mr. Hart.” With my name on one of their rolls it still would be difficult to put together who I was unless you were actually looking for it.

After all I didn’t know every Muslim student as the Muslim population in L.A. is quite large and the local campuses sport a sizable population of Muslim students. In order for my name to be spotted it would probably have to be one of the students, or professors who were also sympathetic to Muslim causes, I actually had interaction with. While that was not impossible under the right circumstances it wouldn’t be likely either.

I would be more invisible if I could just get by with my name, even for a little while.

I decided to sign up for the email list just to see what might happen. Email was beginning to get very popular around the turn of the century and universities were using it extensively. I couldn’t attend meetings or functions but with the advance of email at the time I might be able to get a few tidbits of information that way.

I took a fatalistic attitude toward the whole situation, if they busted me, they busted me. Being on an email list is not all that big a thing. Let’s be honest, receiving an email newsletter once a week or so, would not constitute a breech in their security or anything. I thought it would be fun and I would deal with any repercussions if it came to that.

Because I was still an arms distance away from what might have been even more revealing, the kinds of information I received I was not ground breaking. I couldn’t go to the FBI with it or anything like that.

It wasn’t as good as actually getting next to these people up close and personal but so what, I really didn’t want to get any closer to them then they would allow me to anyway.

During my tenure as a name on their email list I received messages on a weekly or semi weekly basis. Most were about upcoming social events, movies they acquired with an Islamic theme, and discussions that would go on at the university from time to time, some political and some technical concerning living arrangements, food preparation, especially Halal, and alerts about cars parked illegally etc.

But, in between all of this mundane twenty-something nonsense I also remember the following items that may be of interest. The quotes are in quotes because that is how I remember them, but it was several years ago so I might not have the actual wording correct.

Once they sent out an email memo reminding all MSA members to bring their favorite anti Zionist picture, story, or video so they could incorporate it into the national MSA anti-Zionist/free Palestine week. They added as a qualifier “remember, showing Zionism as evil is paramount. It is the only way to convince Americans to support the Palestinian struggle.”

Another time they repeated a memo from National MSA headquarters or some other national overseeing agency, (I can’t remember which) asking members to promote the idea of Islam being a “religion of peace” on their perspective campuses. Playing off a president Bush comment and using it to further the idea that 9-11 was not committed by Arab Muslims.

By the way the anti-Zionist week I mentioned showed evidence that it was Jews who brought down the twin towers, not Mohammad Ata and his gang.

Another time they urged MSA members to enroll into Jewish study courses for the express purpose of monitoring those classes for both sympathetic and non sympathetic Jews, so they could line up who is their enemy and who isn’t.

I’m pretty sure I was labeled an enemy.

All told I was on the mailing list for about eight months before I was discovered. I don’t know who recognized my name or how it happened. No one ever said anything to me, but I was quietly removed from the list. I wrote to inquire why I was not receiving their messages anymore and they never answered. I guess “the jig was up.”

Groups like the MSA, CAIR, The American Muslim Council, The Muslim Public Affairs Council, and others give the outward appearance that they are community based organizations working toward the betterment of the Muslim community.

The Muslim Students Association in particular might be the most subversive and influential politicized group on campus since the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) almost succeeded in radically changing a generation of young people in the 1960s.

It is extremely important that those of us in the west who want to protect our freedoms that we be aware of these groups, their intentions and believe what they are saying and then act accordingly.

And, especially impress this on your children who are attending university.

Families of 9/11 group reject the proposed mosque at Ground Zero

This is really significant and needs to spread far and wide. Those who lost loved ones, friends, co-workers from the murderous acts commited by Islamic terrorists have suffered enough. They live with their losses everyday and will do so for the rest of their lives. We just cannot imagine the pain and insult that all these people must be feeling over this mosque.

Here is a preview of what is below: "Victims’ families view the imam’s expressed plan to “leverage” the mosque’s proximity to Ground Zero to engage in proselytizing and to “grow the Muslim community,” as shockingly insensitive to the history of the site where their loved ones were slaughtered in the worst terrorist attack by extremist Muslims in America’s history; following the attack, 20,000 body parts were recovered in a nine-month operation to remove 1.8 million tons of rubble from Lower Manhattan."

9/11 Families Reject Towering Mosque Planned for Ground Zero Site

New York, May 24, 2010 — 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America (9/11 FSSA) adamantly rejects the plan for a mosque to be built atop a planned 15-story structure that would tower over the site where nearly 3,000 people were killed by Islamic terrorists.

According to the project’s leader, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the mosque and “Muslim-led community center” is to be called the Cordoba House, named after the historic period when the Islamic Caliphate in Cordoba ruled much of Europe and non-Muslims lived as second-class citizens under Islamic rule.

Victims’ families view the imam’s expressed plan to “leverage” the mosque’s proximity to Ground Zero to engage in proselytizing and to “grow the Muslim community,” as shockingly insensitive to the history of the site where their loved ones were slaughtered in the worst terrorist attack by extremist Muslims in America’s history; following the attack, 20,000 body parts were recovered in a nine-month operation to remove 1.8 million tons of rubble from Lower Manhattan.

“Imam Rauf is a Muslim cleric who, immediately after 9/11, blamed the attacks on U.S. treatment of Muslims, asserting that Osama Bin Ladin was ‘made in the U.S.A,’” said Debra Burlingame, co-founder of 9/11 FSSA, whose brother was the pilot of the American Airlines flight which was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon. “We do not accept the Cordoba organization’s view that we need Imam Rauf to lecture us about religious tolerance in a city still dealing with the consequences of the attack that he claims we brought on ourselves.”

Last Monday, representatives of 9/11 FSSA met with Sharif El-Gamal, owner and CEO of Soho Properties, the corporation that purchased the two buildings where the mosque will be built at 43-45 Park Place, and asked him to name the investors in the mosque project. Mr. El-Gamal refused, citing the advice of his attorneys, stating that “this is private property” and that “we can build this ‘as of right.’” The property was purchased with $4.85 million in cash.

Imam Rauf is now publicly stating in a professionally-organized PR campaign that the building will be a community center, “not a mosque.” However, Mr. El-Gamal showed 9/11 FSSA members architectural renderings in which a mosque, located on the top floor of the 15-story building, would have a commanding view of the entire Ground Zero neighborhood.

Equally troubling is the fact that, while the stated purpose of the project is to engage in interfaith dialogue and cultural egalitarianism, Imam Rauf embraces Shariah, the Arabic word for Islamic law, a sociopolitical system of jurisprudence based upon the Koran which supersedes man-made law and which rejects the Constitutional doctrine of the separation of church and state. Islamic countries that embrace Shariah and political Islam are known for brutal policies that discriminate against women, gays, and religious minorities. Shariah law is entirely incompatible with the Equal Protection clause of the 14th Amendment and would violate 1st Amendment protections of speech, assembly and the free exercise of religion.

We feel that the attempt to use our loved ones’ deaths and the painful legacy of 9/11 still felt by New Yorkers to engage in a campaign to reverse America’s core doctrine of religious freedom — and to do so under the guise of interfaith understanding — is a gross insult to the memory of those who were killed on that terrible day.

9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America asks concerned Americans — regardless of race, color, creed, or ethnic origin — to join us in denouncing this effort to chip away at America’s bedrock principle of religious freedom.

A new mosque in Wisconsin and a reply to not allow it

First is the news article about the new mosque for Wilson, Wisconsin. Then a letter from a concerned citizen who cautions the town against permission to let the mosque move forward. An excellent response from Civilus Defendus. A warning to the rest of America.

A Mosque in Wilson, Wisconsin?

WITI-TV, WILSON - A group of Muslims in Sheboygan County will soon learn if they will be able to have a mosque in the Town of Wilson. It has been a controversial issue for some in the area who fear that the Mosque could be used as a spot for terrorist activity.

The Islamic Society of Sheboygan County says they've purchased a building, are in compliance with state code, and are hoping Town of Wilson leaders grant them a conditional use permit for a mosque. Some in Oostburg hope that doesn't happen.

About 25 Muslim families living in and around Sheboygan County are hoping to use a former health food store in the Town of Wilson as a Muslim mosque. Many people are concerned about having a mosque in their backyard.

Some fear that hate and terror against non-Muslims will be taught in the country mosque. Guy Rodgers from Act! For America says, "Our research shows that about 7 out of 10 mosques are using materials and teaching things, and calling for jihad, calling for the overthrow of our constitutional republic."

Act! For America is a national group with a mission to educate people about radical Islam. Rogers spoke at the First Reformed Church in Oostburg. He says Islam is a religion and a political ideology. "Those who are adherent to the political ideology. The war like part of Islam that Mohammad practiced they're a threat to peace across the world and a threat to other Muslims."

Despite the controversy Mohammad Hamad, the Muslim leader in Sheboygan County, believes Town of Wilson leaders will approve the use of a mosque.

The Town of Wilson's Plan Commission will vote on it's recommendation May 10th. The Village Board is expected to vote on the issue on the 17th.

Here is the letter of caution from Civilus Defendus:

Re: Consideration of a Mosque in Your Community

Dear Sir,
I do not live in your community, but I have concerns about intolerance in America.

Islam is a total life-encompassing doctrine, addressing cultural and religious matters as well as political issues that is governed by Islamic sharia law, a law based on the koran, sira and hadith (the biography and traditions of Mohammed, or “sunnah”).... See More

It must be recognized that the theo-political doctrine of Islam makes the attainment of political objectives a religious duty. The political objective is to bring the entire world under the “divine” law of sharia; to eradicate man-made law. And according to Islam, sharia is applied to both Muslims and non-Muslims.

The theo-political doctrine of Islam fully implemented under sharia law, consistent with the koran and sunnah, condemns freedom (of speech, religion, association, press, petition of government), forbids equality (between men and women, Muslims and non-Muslims) and denies traditional sovereignty (national boundaries based on language, culture and shared history). In sum, sharia violates our cultural values as well as our laws.

So, the thrust of my comment is that bringing a mosque into your community will inevitably bring sharia, including elements of sharia that are inconsistent and irreconcilably in conflict with the US Constitution and your state constitution, and will not simply be offensive to your community, but be destructive of it.

This message is not borne of bigotry, racism or hatred, only a concern that our great nation will continue to be a haven for human liberty.

The Mullah in the White House is reaching out to Islam. Be concerned, and take action against this!

I found this at LogansWarning, a dandy fine site that was linked at Atlas Shrugs on another article I was reading. I have commented before and posted other articles on how Obama is reaching out to Muslims and Islam here in the United States. I will warn you now this is a LONG read but so well worth your time. Here is just a taste of what you will find in the article below, and be alarmed, very alarmed.

"Muslim and Arab-American advocates have participated in policy discussions and received briefings from top White House aides and other officials on health care legislation, foreign policy, the economy, immigration and national security. They have met privately with a senior White House adviser, Valerie Jarrett, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to discuss civil liberties concerns and counterterrorism strategy.

The impact of this continuing dialogue is difficult to measure, but White House officials cited several recent government actions that were influenced, in part, by the discussions. The meeting with Ms. Napolitano was among many factors that contributed to the government’s decision this month to end a policy subjecting passengers from 14 countries, most of them Muslim, to additional scrutiny at airports, the officials said.

That emergency directive, enacted after a failed Dec. 25 bombing plot, has been replaced with a new set of intelligence-based protocols that law enforcement officials consider more effective.

Also this month, Tariq Ramadan, a prominent Muslim academic, visited the United States for the first time in six years after Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton reversed a decision by the Bush administration, which had barred Mr. Ramadan from entering the country, initially citing the U.S.A. Patriot Act. Mrs. Clinton also cleared the way for another well-known Muslim professor, Adam Habib, who had been denied."

"This man must be voted out, as America will not last two terms with him in charge. We will be lucky to get through the first one."

So there you have it. The first of many steps to what I see and call a total capitualtion to Islam.

The White House Outreach to American Muslims

Dictator Obama and Co., have two things on their minds. The first is to spend every penny they can their America hating hands on. The second is catering to Islam. In February John Brennan, Assistant to the President For Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, gave a big time Islamophile speech at NYU. More recently Obama has decided to omit terms like “radical Islam”, from security papers. He is even rolling out the red carpet, for 500 Muslims in a seminar on entrepreneurship. Don’t like what you reading? That is good! You should be furious, that people that follow an ideology that is the anti-thesis of America, are getting so much power. Continue to speak out, and educate. This man must be voted out, as America will not last two terms with him in charge. We will be lucky to get through the first one.

Reaching Out Quietly to Muslims in America
By ANDREA ELLIOTT
Published: April 18, 2010

When President Obama took the stage in Cairo last June, promising a new relationship with the Islamic world, Muslims in America wondered only half-jokingly whether the overture included them. After all, Mr. Obama had kept his distance during the campaign, never visiting an American mosque and describing the false claim that he was Muslim as a “smear” on his Web site.

Nearly a year later, Mr. Obama has yet to set foot in an American mosque. And he still has not met with Muslim and Arab-American leaders. But less publicly, his administration has reached out to this politically isolated constituency in a sustained and widening effort that has left even skeptics surprised.

Muslim and Arab-American advocates have participated in policy discussions and received briefings from top White House aides and other officials on health care legislation, foreign policy, the economy, immigration and national security.

Mrs. Clinton also cleared the way for another well-known Muslim professor, Adam Habib, who had been denied entry under similar circumstances.

Arab-American and Muslim leaders said they had yet to see substantive changes on a variety of issues, including what they describe as excessive airport screening, policies that have chilled Muslim charitable giving and invasive F.B.I. surveillance guidelines. But they are encouraged by the extent of their consultation by the White House and governmental agencies.

“For the first time in eight years, we have the opportunity to meet, engage, discuss, disagree, but have an impact on policy,” said James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute in Washington. “We’re being made to feel a part of that process and that there is somebody listening.”

In the post-9/11 era, Muslims and Arab-Americans have posed something of a conundrum for the government: they are seen as a political liability but also, increasingly, as an important partner in countering the threat of homegrown terrorism. Under President George W. Bush, leaders of these groups met with government representatives from time to time, but said they had limited interaction with senior officials. While Mr. Obama has yet to hold the kind of high-profile meeting that Muslims and Arab-Americans seek, there is a consensus among his policymakers that engagement is no longer optional.

The administration’s approach has been understated. Many meetings have been private; others were publicized only after the fact. A visit to New York University in February by John O. Brennan, Mr. Obama’s chief counterterrorism adviser, drew little news coverage, but caused a stir among Muslims around the country. Speaking to Muslim students, activists and others, Mr. Brennan acknowledged many of their grievances, including “surveillance that has been excessive,” “overinclusive no-fly lists” and “an unhelpful atmosphere around many Muslim charities.”

“These are challenges we face together as Americans,” said Mr. Brennan, who momentarily showed off his Arabic to hearty applause. He and other officials have made a point of disassociating Islam from terrorism in public comments, using the phrase “violent extremism” in place of words like “jihad” and “Islamic terrorism.”

While the administration’s solicitation of Muslims and Arab-Americans has drawn little fanfare, it has not escaped criticism. A small but vocal group of research analysts, bloggers and others complain that the government is reaching out to Muslim leaders and organizations with an Islamist agenda or ties to extremist groups abroad.

They point out that Ms. Jarrett gave the keynote address at the annual convention for the Islamic Society of North America. The group was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a Texas-based charity whose leaders were convicted in 2008 of funneling money to Hamas. The society denies any links to terrorism.

“I think dialogue is good, but it has to be with genuine moderates,” said Steven Emerson, a terrorism analyst who advises government officials. “These are the wrong groups to legitimize.” Mr. Emerson and others have also objected to the political appointments of several American Muslims, including Rashad Hussain.

In February, the president chose Mr. Hussain, a 31-year-old White House lawyer, to become the United States’ special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. The position, a kind of ambassador at large to Muslim countries, was created by Mr. Bush. In a video address, Mr. Obama highlighted Mr. Hussain’s status as a “close and trusted member of my White House staff” and “a hafiz,” a person who has memorized the Koran.

Within days of the announcement, news reports surfaced about comments Mr. Hussain had made on a panel in 2004, while he was a student at Yale Law School, in which he referred to several domestic terrorism prosecutions as “politically motivated.” Among the cases he criticized was that of Sami Al-Arian, a former computer-science professor in Florida who pleaded guilty to aiding members of a Palestinian terrorist group.

At first, the White House said Mr. Hussain did not recall making the comments, which had been removed from the Web version of a 2004 article published by a small Washington magazine. When Politico obtained a recording of the panel, Mr. Hussain acknowledged criticizing the prosecutions but said he believed the magazine quoted him inaccurately, prompting him to ask its editor to remove the comments. On Feb. 22, The Washington Examiner ran an editorial with the headline “Obama Selects a Voice of Radical Islam.”

Muslim leaders watched carefully as the story migrated to Fox News. They had grown accustomed to close scrutiny, many said in interviews, but were nonetheless surprised. In 2008, Mr. Hussain had co-authored a paper for the Brookings Institution arguing that the government should use the peaceful teachings of Islam to fight terrorism.

“Rashad Hussain is about as squeaky clean as you get,” said Representative Keith Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat who is Muslim. Mr. Ellison and others wondered whether the administration would buckle under the pressure and were relieved when the White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, defended Mr. Hussain.

“The fact that the president and the administration have appointed Muslims to positions and have stood by them when they’ve been attacked is the best we can hope for,” said Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America.

It was notably different during Mr. Obama’s run for office. In June 2008, volunteers of his campaign barred two Muslim women in headscarves from appearing behind Mr. Obama at a rally in Detroit, eliciting widespread criticism. The campaign promptly recruited Mazen Asbahi, a 36-year-old corporate lawyer and popular Muslim activist from Chicago, to become its liaison to Muslims and Arab-Americans.

Bloggers began researching Mr. Asbahi’s background. For a brief time in 2000, he had sat on the board of an Islamic investment fund, along with Sheikh Jamal Said, a Chicago imam who was later named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land case. Mr. Asbahi said in an interview that he had left the board after three weeks because he wanted no association with the imam.

Shortly after his appointment to the Obama campaign, Mr. Asbahi said, a Wall Street Journal reporter began asking questions about his connection to the imam. Campaign officials became concerned that news coverage would give critics ammunition to link the imam to Mr. Obama, Mr. Asbahi recalled. On their recommendation, Mr. Asbahi agreed to resign from the campaign, he said.

He is still unsettled by the power of his detractors. “To be in the midst of this campaign of change and hope and to have it stripped away over nothing,” he said. “It hurts.”

From the moment Mr. Obama took office, he seemed eager to change the tenor of America’s relationship with Muslims worldwide. He gave his first interview to Al Arabiya, the Arabic-language television station based in Dubai. Muslims cautiously welcomed his ban on torture and his pledge to close Guantánamo within a year.

In his Cairo address, he laid out his vision for “a new beginning” with Muslims: while America would continue to fight terrorism, he said, terrorism would no longer define America’s approach to Muslims.

Back at home, Muslim and Arab-American leaders remained skeptical. But they took note when, a few weeks later, Mohamed Magid, a prominent imam from Sterling, Va., and Rami Nashashibi, a Muslim activist from Chicago, joined the president at a White-House meeting about fatherhood. Also that month, Dr. Faisal Qazi, a board member of American Muslim Health Professionals, began meeting with administration officials to discuss health care reform.

The invitations were aimed at expanding the government’s relationship with Muslims and Arab-Americans to areas beyond security, said Mr. Hussain, the White House’s special envoy. Mr. Hussain began advising the president on issues related to Islam after joining the White House counsel’s office in January 2009. He helped draft Mr. Obama’s Cairo speech and accompanied him on the trip. “The president realizes that you cannot engage one-fourth of the world’s population based on the erroneous beliefs of a fringe few,” Mr. Hussain said.

Other government offices followed the lead of the White House. In October, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke met with Arab-Americans and Muslims in Dearborn, Mich., to discuss challenges facing small-business owners. Also last fall, Farah Pandith was sworn in as the State Department’s first special representative to Muslim communities. While Ms. Pandith works mostly with Muslims abroad, she said she had also consulted with American Muslims because Mrs. Clinton believes “they can add value overseas.”

Despite this, American actions abroad — including civilian deaths from drone strikes in Pakistan and the failure to close Guantánamo — have drawn the anger of Muslims and Arab-Americans.

Even though their involvement with the administration has broadened, they remain most concerned about security-related policies. In January, when the Department of Homeland Security hosted a two-day meeting with Muslim, Arab-American, South Asian and Sikh leaders, the group expressed concern about the emergency directive subjecting passengers from a group of Muslim countries to additional screening.

Farhana Khera, executive director of Muslim Advocates, pointed out that the policy would never have caught the attempted shoe bomber Richard Reid, who is British. “It almost sends the signal that the government is going to treat nationals of powerless countries differently from countries that are powerful,” Ms. Khera recalled saying as community leaders around the table nodded their heads.

Ms. Napolitano, who sat with the group for more than an hour, committed to meeting with them more frequently. Ms. Khera said she left feeling somewhat hopeful.

“I think our message is finally starting to get through,” she said.

This last statement is a very big problem. To sit still and be silent against Islam is like waiting for death.

There is no peace within Islam and with Islam there can never be peace.
