Many of you have read and heard about the 'Middle Eastern Festival' in Dearbornistan, Michigan. Dearbornistan is home to one of the largest populations of Muslims in the United States. I recently sent an email to the mayor's office about this so called 'festival' and the problems that Islam and Muslims will and are causing in his fair city. In typical islamist fashion, this is the letter I got in return to my email. This was a response that was sent to many people in defense of the 'festival.' Read it and draw your own conclusions. The Mayor is quite ignorant of Islam and sharia law and he has been eating up the 'taqiyya' as a good little dhimmi stooge should. Knowing your enemy is the first step in defeating them. No wonder the Muslims like it in Dearbornsitan so much. The response is quite long so it will be the main post for the night. Might be a couple of others, we will see. I asked the mayor in my email if Jews were at the festival and asked for a specific response to that question. Notice that the response just states all faiths from Dearbronistan. In fairness to the Mayor, some of what he is stating may be true but what is quite obvious here is that when Muslims behave badly in public, hardly anything is ever said about it, or done about it. Let a few Christians go to an 'Arab Festival' in a pretty peaceful way and ask a few questions, they get treated badly by the followers of Islam and the city of Dearbornistan. The vidoes I have watched by the Acts 17 Apologetics show a very different story. This was an Islamic taqiyya festival at best. This is Islam whitewashed, once again. The good mayor does not see that the qur'an, Islam and those who follow it infringe on people's rights, liberty, freedom. He does not understand that Islam is a cradel to grave ideology. Please consider the following before condemning us
The City of Dearborn has been under attack for several years by a group identifying themselves as Acts 17 Apologetics. They arrive in Dearborn with the intent to disrupt a local cultural festival and misrepresent facts in order to further their mission of raising funds through emotional response. The funds they raise are then used to finance travel and cameras to disrupt other events in other cities. In our case, the targeted event is not about the Muslim faith or its believers. It is a Middle Eastern cultural festival sponsored by a Chamber of Commerce and a local charitable service organization. Neither of these two entities have a religious alignment.
Like events in cities all over our nation, this festival has a variety of entertainment and interests, including rides, games, performances, foods, souvenirs, and community information. Also like other events, it relies on sponsorships and fees to cover its costs. Large tents are set up to house organizations and businesses that want to have access to the thousands of people attending this event. These groups pay a modest fee for the privilege and are allowed to carry out their activity in an assigned space within the tents. There is no restriction placed on any lawful activity carried out in this manner, including preaching the word of God. This past year, five Christian organizations and two Muslim organizations chose this lawful method of reaching the attendees. This is similar to past years and there has never been a problem or controversy about this type of preaching or religious engagement. The total number of table vendors at the festival exceeds eighty, so these seven faith-based groups represent a relatively small aspect of the festival.
In all the materials released by Acts 17 Apologetics they have failed to mention this manner of preaching and evidencing the teaching of Jesus Christ, even though they have been offered the same opportunity each year. In addition to the booths, we have a free speech zone at the festival for those that want free access to the festival to promote their message. This space was utilized this past year by two different Christian groups who were allowed to preach and proselytize the entire weekend without any interference. Acts 17 Apologetics did not mention this either, even though they were within 30 feet of this space when they pretended to be arrested. Yes, I said pretended to be arrested. In a video they have posted on their website, they are standing near the Ferris wheel when some police officers approached them on Saturday, June 19. They lead you to believe that they were arrested shortly thereafter for passing out Christian flyers. Although they were temporarily detained for violating the festival rules regarding the location of the distribution of literature, they were not arrested on that day. And they were never arrested for passing out flyers.
On Friday, June 18, they behaved very differently than what you saw on film from Saturday, June 19. They were not handing out flyers but were aggressively engaging passers-by in confrontational debate when they were arrested and cited for Breach of the Peace and Failure to Obey the Lawful Order of a Police Officer. See www.cityofdearborn.org for more details. Acts 17 always retained the right to carry out their activities in a lawful manner at the festival. The video taken on Saturday illustrates that the group returned to the festival after the four arrests on Friday.
Acts 17 Apologetics has been at the Arab Festival in past years and is well aware of the written policy with regard to crowd control. They are also aware of a federal court decision in favor of the Dearborn policy of controlled access to the festival site. This is standard practice at events all over the country. A site is identified and authorized by the government entity as a special event site. In the case of the Arab Festival, it is a number of commercial blocks between the rear alley accesses behind the
businesses on either side of the commercial road. Despite knowing this, Acts 17 Apologetics lead the viewers of the distorted video to believe that they are on public sidewalks. For the duration of the three-day event, the public sidewalks in front of the stores and businesses in the event district are no longer “public” in terms of the application of the First Amendment. They are in an area controlled to protect public safety during the event because of the extreme number of people occupying a space that was never intended to support that much activity. And that is what the Federal Court upheld in June.

The court decisions protect every community that must balance personal freedom with the need to provide public safety during an unusual situation. At the time he was arrested on Friday, June 18, Mr. Wood had gathered a large crowd around him, blocking a key access point between the tents. The crowd was forced to grow bigger solely because people could not pass. Those who created this public danger did so with the knowledge that they were violating the laws because they wanted to be arrested while their cohorts were actively recording the event for posting on the web. They knew that they could inflame the passions of viewers who would be taken in by their misrepresentation of what was really going on. They have even found media that would put them on air to repeat these inaccurate representations without seeking information or the truth from others.
It makes a good news story to say that a community is infringing on peoples’ rights especially when it is couched in the true bias of generating negative feelings about another religion. The real violation of First Amendment rights occurs with Acts 17 Apologetics trying to imply they were the victim when the real violation is their attack on the City of Dearborn for having tolerance for all religions including believers in the Koran.
Dearborn is a true American City that welcomes everyone in the full spirit of our great constitution. We are a community of faith that is dedicated to the welfare of everyone whether resident or guest. These gross misrepresentations have caused us to come together in a stronger way. Almost a year ago, after earlier attacks by Acts 17 Apologetics on Dearborn, I hosted a meeting with the Dearborn Area Ministerial Association (DAMA), a group of mostly Christian religious leaders, but inclusive of all faiths in Dearborn. I asked them to review the video from the 2009 festival, examine the facts and measure the impact on our community. The discussion was frank and sincere. They released their statement only after trying to contact Acts 17 Apologetics to engage them in a discussion of how to achieve the goal of converting others to Christ. They were unsuccessful in getting a response from Acts 17. The truth is Christian evangelists are active at the Arab Festival. They participate in lawful ways. While many are local, some, like world renowned minister and author Josh McDowell, come to the festival because it offers a large number of people who can be engaged in the message of the New Testament. He and the other evangelists followed the rules and have been successful in achieving their goals. Mr. McDowell posted positive recordings of his experience at the festival in 2009

These videos provide a sharp contrast to the recordings of Acts 17 Apologetics and, better yet, they have only truth as their motive. Dearborn is not your enemy nor are the people who live here. People who would promote hatred and lies to get others to act in ways that are contrary to what America stands for are the real enemy for all lovers of our country. History is full of horrific events that were manufactured by lies to get good people to act purely emotionally to achieve the deceiver’s ends. We hope that you will choose to become informed and avoid being taken in by people that have yet to share true faith with anyone in Dearborn.

Hizb ut-Tahrir: A really nasty Islamic organization.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of many Islamic organizations and groups that have way too much freedom in the United States. As many will say, "this is about freedom of speech", I would have to agree with you. That said, HT spews anti-Semitic speech and hatred on a very regular basis. There is nothing redeeming or worthwhile about HT unless you want to see the United States become another notch on the gun stock on the march to establish a global Islamic caliphate, ruled completely by Islam and sharia law. Not a pretty future to think about. If you do not think that is what Islamic groups like this set out to do, you MUST read Gadi Adelman's Op-ed here. I cannot say enough about Gadi. He is one the most knowledgeable people in the world about Islam and terrorism. Gadi was speaking out about terrorism long before others had even given it any thought or acknowledged that it was and is a problem. A big problem. HT is but one of many Islamic groups that I think should be banned, outlawed and all their funding seized.

Why Is This Islamist Group Still Legal In The USA?
They have been banned by most countries in the Middle East. Even not so moderate countries such as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Turkey, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and yes, even Pakistan. They are barred from Germany, all the former Soviet states in Central Asia, Russia and the Netherlands.
They came close to being banned in the UK in August 2005 when then-Prime Minister Tony Blair announced his intentions to ban the group.That was until threats of riots made him drop the idea. I am of course speaking of Hizb ut-Tahrir (the Party of Liberation).
Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT) still operates freely here in the US and just last year held their first conference “The rise of Islam and the fall of Capitalism”in Chicago shortly after Obama became President. According to Bridgette Gabriel of ACT for America:
“The Islamic Party of Liberation focuses on recruiting boys between the ages of 8 and 18 years old to become suicide bombers and Jihadists to advance Islam throughout the world.”
HT has been linked to being responsible for terrorist acts or plots throughout the world including Germany, Uzbekistan, Israel, China, Central Asia and Russia just to name a few. The group which was founded in 1953 by Mohammed Taqiuddin al-Nabhani has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, one of the world’s oldest Islamist organizations. Two close associates and mentors to Taqiuddinal-Nabhani's would themselves become senior figures in the Muslim Brotherhood hierarchy.
HT hands out material and posts on their websites the call for the end of Democracy with it being replaced by Sharia law. They have even called for death to anyone that leaves Islam and continue to do so as reported on July 1, 2010 by the Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) website:
“Human rights activists had been informing Chicago area hotels of Hizbut-Tahrir America’s decision last year to distribute pamphlets (pdf) calling for the “death penalty” for those who seek freedom of religion to leave Islam. At Hizb ut-Tahrir America’s July 19, 2009 event in Chicago, they distributed a pamphlet (page 62) that supports killing those individuals who leave Islam as guilty of “treason and a political attack on the Khilafah.” The Hizb ut-Tahrir America website promoting this year’s conference in Chicago promotes links to the main Hizb ut-Tahrir website, Khilafah.com, where this pamphlet is still distributed online by Hizb ut-Tahrir.
At the December 2009 event at the Lombard cohttp://gadiadelman.com/articles/articles-by-type/53-why-is-this-islamist-group-still-legal-in-the-usammunity center, Hizb ut-Tahrir America denounced democracy, denounced “the Kafir,” and urged Muslim attendees “do not take the Jews and Christians for your allies.” HT also blamed U.S. President Obama as part of a plot to take over Muslim-majority nations. Hizb ut-Tahrir rejects democracy because it “is the rule of people, for the people, by the people.” (page 24). Hizb ut-Tahrir has called for Muslims to boycott voting.
HT has had a history of seeking to promote a global Islamic caliphate government, in seeking to train teenagers for “jihad” (page 37), has reportedly been involved in threats against Jews, Hindus, and has reportedly threatened Muslim university officials.HT also rejects the “gender equality movement” for women’s rights, saying that women must pursue a global Islamic caliphate instead. British media have reported that intelligence sources state that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed spent time with Hizb ut-Tahrir, and that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was “former member of the Jordanian branch of Hizb.” Continue reading

Despite series of protests, Kuwait-born Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf is silently getting set in erecting the ‘Tower of Terror’ under the garb of a mosque at Ground Zero site in New York City in United States. The prospective developer of the US$ 100 million 13-story mosque, which will be located just 600 feet from the Ground Zero, projects himself as a moderate Muslim. But, it is recorded that, Faisal Abdul Rauf inherits the notion of Muslim Brotherhood from his father, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rauf [1917-2004], an Egyptian contemporary of Muslim brotherhood founder Hassan Al-Banna. Dr. Rauf conveyed to his family a long tradition of radicalism which he acquired at Islam’s closest equivalent to Vatican, Al Azhar University in Cairo.
Imam Abdul Rauf, the man behind this controversial mosque is a prominent member of a group that helped sponsor the pro-Palestinian activists who clashed violently with Israeli commandos at sea several weeks back. Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf is a key figure in Malaysia based Perdana Global Peace Organization. Perdana is the single biggest donor [US$ 366,000] so far to the Free Gaza Movement, a key organization of the six-ship flotilla that tried to break into Israel’s blockade of the Hamas-run Gaza strip.
In the ultimate act of Islamic conquest and callous insensitivity to the victims' families and all Americans who were attacked by Islamic jihad on 9/11/01, the Free Gaza, Jew-killing supporting Imam and his Islamic supremacist wife are ignoring the pleas and cries from millions of Americans, and intend to build their Islamic supremacist mosque. The imam, at Friday prayers two weeks ago, said he didn't understand the hostility of the opposition to the monster mosque, especially since our "children and our grandchildren would be Muslim."
These pro-Jihadist Imam and his deceitful wife speak of "building bridges" and "outreach," yet completely ignore the pain and the pleas of patriots and Americans asking them to stop this divisiveness, this insult, this slap on the national face America.
Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf refuses to describe notorious terrorist group Hamas as a terrorist organization, though according to US State Department’s assessment, "Hamas terrorists, especially those in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, have conducted many attacks, including large-scale suicide bombings, against Israeli civilian and military targets."
Walid Shoebat, an Arabic speaker who says he found an Arabic-language interview in which Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf to make a statement about religious tolerance and reconciliation, and to spite radical Islam - advocates turning America into an Islamic state.
Recently - in fact on May 26 2010, one day after his Daily News column - Abdul Rauf appeared on the popular Islamic website Hadiyul-Islam with even more disturbing opinions. That's the same website where, ironically enough, a fatwa was simultaneously being issued forbidding a Muslim to sell land to a Christian, because the Christian wanted to build a church on it.
In his interview on Hadiyul-Islam by Sa'da Abdul Maksoud, Abdul Rauf was asked his views on Sharia [Islamic religious law] and the Islamic state. He responded:
Throughout my discussions with contemporary Muslim theologians, it is clear an Islamic state can be established in more than just a single form or mold. It can be established through a kingdom or a democracy. The important issue is to establish the general fundamentals of Sharia that are required to govern. It is known that there are sets of standards that are accepted by [Muslim] scholars to organize the relationships between government and the governed.
When questioned about this, Abdul Rauf continued: "Current governments are unjust and do not follow Islamic laws." He added:
New laws were permitted after the death of Muhammad, so long of course that these laws do not contradict the Quran or the Deeds of Muhammad ... so they create institutions that assure no conflicts with Sharia.
In yet plainer English, forget the separation of church and state. Abdul Rauf's goal is the imposition of Shariah law - in every country, even democratic ones like the U.S.
Imam Rauf is dreaming to construct this mosque with his ultimate goal of Islamizing America. But, he possibly forgets one point. When Americans are attacked, they come together as one, under one flag, under one law against a common enemy that they are not afraid to identify. Religious freedom is central to America as a nation - and that is why the location of this project is so misguided. Ground Zero is purely about being American. And, there is no room for anyone to let this sentiment be anyway ignored by anyone.
I precisely understand the reason behind such huge flow of fund for this Tower of Terrorism at Ground Zero site. Many of the radical Muslim nations in the world are willing to give a ‘proper lesson’ to Americans by planting a so-called mosque at the very wound of those family members of the martyrs as well as patriotic Americans.
Secondly this very mosque, like many other large mosques and so-called community mosques in United States will turn into epicenter of Tablighi Jamaat activities. It is well documented that, Tablighi Jamaat preaches Jihad and encourages deceitful conversion of non-Muslims to Islam. Due to decade-long activities of Tablighi Jamaat in Bangladesh, the percentage of religious minorities, including Hundus, Christians and Buddhists are on fast decline. It is feared that, if Tablighis will be able to continue its activities inside Bangladesh for another decade, the country may witness a complete elimination of religious minorities from its population.
While Tablighis are actively working inside United States for Islamizing America, rogue Islamists like Abdul Rauf are not sitting silent. This man is moving ahead with his agenda of constructing the mosque at Ground Zero. Americans need to wake up now. Because, their silence will put America into further risk.

Just like last year, Christians were ganged up on and ultimately arrested for trying to spread God's word at this very same festival. Muslims are the same no matter where they end up. The majority all want the same thing, the establishment of an Islamic global caliphate with Islam being the one and only religion ideology.
Three Christians arrested in outreach to Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan

Continental News: Three Christians were arrested today at the Arab International Festival as they shared their faith with Muslims. The three were arrested by police as they engaged in intense, but respectful dialog in which they proclaimed their faith in Christ.
“I never thought I would see this in America,” says Steven Atkins, a resident of Toronto, Canada, who was visiting the festival and observed the incident.
The three arrested include Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, David Woods, and Paul Rezkalla. Dr. Quereshi is co-director of Acts 17 Apologetics Ministries. He holds an MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School and an MA in Christian apologetics from Biola University.
“When Dr. Quereshi was arrested I heard people clapping and applauding, and some said ‘Allahu Akbar,’” Atkins said. There was a crowd of 15-20 people watching the exchange and subsequent arrest.
The festival attracts several hundred thousand Arab Americans each year, and some Christian groups find it an ideal venue for Christian outreach.
This year, the city of Dearborn banned the distribution of Christian literature near the festival. Some accused the city of catering to its large Muslim population when the law was passed. On June 17, a three-judge panel from the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals granted an emergency motion on behalf of Pastor George Saieg, allowing him to distribute literature and talk about his faith to Muslims at the festival.
“It was an intense discussion, but it was not unruly,” Atkins noted. “There was no threat of violence,” he said. “It’s becoming more restrictive here than in Canada.”

The three arrested include Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, David Woods, and Paul Rezkalla. Dr. Quereshi is co-director of Acts 17 Apologetics Ministries. He holds an MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School and an MA in Christian apologetics from Biola University.
“When Dr. Quereshi was arrested I heard people clapping and applauding, and some said ‘Allahu Akbar,’” Atkins said. There was a crowd of 15-20 people watching the exchange and subsequent arrest.
The festival attracts several hundred thousand Arab Americans each year, and some Christian groups find it an ideal venue for Christian outreach.
This year, the city of Dearborn banned the distribution of Christian literature near the festival. Some accused the city of catering to its large Muslim population when the law was passed. On June 17, a three-judge panel from the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals granted an emergency motion on behalf of Pastor George Saieg, allowing him to distribute literature and talk about his faith to Muslims at the festival.
“It was an intense discussion, but it was not unruly,” Atkins noted. “There was no threat of violence,” he said. “It’s becoming more restrictive here than in Canada.”

Here we go again as more people have been killed in Somalia as Christians were celebrating Pentacost. The battle for Somalia between the government, insurgent group al-Shabab, advanced on the presidential palace overnight, but were stopped by government troops and African Union peacekeepers, according to BosNewsLife. How much longer will the fragile, barely functiong government hold out against repeated attacks from Islamic terror groups like al-shabab? Will it really matter as both sides are intolerant of Christians. The current president of Soamlia, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed is not fond of Christians and favors the extremely oppressive shariah law. Anything but Islam and shariah law are considered barbaric and unacceptable to all islamic groups in Somlia. I look for much more bloodshed and more deaths of Christians living in hell, I mean Soamlia.

As of now, much of central and southern Somalia and large parts of Mogadishu are under the control of insurgents. The Sharif government controls small areas around the airport, seaport and presidential palace, with the help of African Union troops, BosNewsLife reported.
The Sharif government also struggles with internal conflict. Last week President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed tried to fire the prime minister, but backed down this week, stating that he recognized the method of the firing was unconstitutional, according to BosNewsLife.
Both the Sharif government and the two warring insurgent factions would like to obliterate the Christians. While the president proclaims himself a moderate, he embraces a sharia, or Islamic law, that mandates the death penalty for those who leave Islam, BosNewsLife reported.
On the other hand, both Al-Shabab and Hizbul Islam would like to rid Somalia of Christianity, and all non-Islamic culture, which they describe as barbaric. It is believed that there are 1,000 Christians in Somalia, BosNewsLife said.

I have commented before and posted other articles on how Obama is reaching out to Muslims and Islam here in the United States. I will warn you now this is a LONG read but so well worth your time. The White House Outreach to American Muslims
Dictator Obama and Co., have two things on their minds. The first is to spend every penny they can their America hating hands on. The second is catering to Islam. In February John Brennan, Assistant to the President For Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, gave a big time Islamophile speech at NYU. More recently Obama has decided to omit terms like “radical Islam”, from security papers. He is even rolling out the red carpet, for 500 Muslims in a seminar on entrepreneurship. Don’t like what you reading? That is good! You should be furious, that people that follow an ideology that is the anti-thesis of America, are getting so much power. Continue to speak out, and educate. This man must be voted out, as America will not last two terms with him in charge. We will be lucky to get through the first one.

When President Obama took the stage in Cairo last June, promising a new relationship with the Islamic world, Muslims in America wondered only half-jokingly whether the overture included them. After all, Mr. Obama had kept his distance during the campaign, never visiting an American mosque and describing the false claim that he was Muslim as a “smear” on his Web site.
Nearly a year later, Mr. Obama has yet to set foot in an American mosque. And he still has not met with Muslim and Arab-American leaders. But less publicly, his administration has reached out to this politically isolated constituency in a sustained and widening effort that has left even skeptics surprised.
Muslim and Arab-American advocates have participated in policy discussions and received briefings from top White House aides and other officials on health care legislation, foreign policy, the economy, immigration and national security. They have met privately with a senior White House adviser, Valerie Jarrett, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to discuss civil liberties concerns and counterterrorism strategy.

“For the first time in eight years, we have the opportunity to meet, engage, discuss, disagree, but have an impact on policy,” said James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute in Washington. “We’re being made to feel a part of that process and that there is somebody listening.”
In the post-9/11 era, Muslims and Arab-Americans have posed something of a conundrum for the government: they are seen as a political liability but also, increasingly, as an important partner in countering the threat of homegrown terrorism. Under President George W. Bush, leaders of these groups met with government representatives from time to time, but said they had limited interaction with senior officials. While Mr. Obama has yet to hold the kind of high-profile meeting that Muslims and Arab-Americans seek, there is a consensus among his policymakers that engagement is no longer optional.
The administration’s approach has been understated. Many meetings have been private; others were publicized only after the fact. A visit to New York University in February by John O. Brennan, Mr. Obama’s chief counterterrorism adviser, drew little news coverage, but caused a stir among Muslims around the country. Speaking to Muslim students, activists and others, Mr. Brennan acknowledged many of their grievances, including “surveillance that has been excessive,” “overinclusive no-fly lists” and “an unhelpful atmosphere around many Muslim charities.”
“These are challenges we face together as Americans,” said Mr. Brennan, who momentarily showed off his Arabic to hearty applause. He and other officials have made a point of disassociating Islam from terrorism in public comments, using the phrase “violent extremism” in place of words like “jihad” and “Islamic terrorism.”
While the administration’s solicitation of Muslims and Arab-Americans has drawn little fanfare, it has not escaped criticism. A small but vocal group of research analysts, bloggers and others complain that the government is reaching out to Muslim leaders and organizations with an Islamist agenda or ties to extremist groups abroad.
They point out that Ms. Jarrett gave the keynote address at the annual convention for the Islamic Society of North America. The group was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a Texas-based charity whose leaders were convicted in 2008 of funneling money to Hamas. The society denies any links to terrorism.
“I think dialogue is good, but it has to be with genuine moderates,” said Steven Emerson, a terrorism analyst who advises government officials. “These are the wrong groups to legitimize.” Mr. Emerson and others have also objected to the political appointments of several American Muslims, including Rashad Hussain.
In February, the president chose Mr. Hussain, a 31-year-old White House lawyer, to become the United States’ special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. The position, a kind of ambassador at large to Muslim countries, was created by Mr. Bush. In a video address, Mr. Obama highlighted Mr. Hussain’s status as a “close and trusted member of my White House staff” and “a hafiz,” a person who has memorized the Koran.
Within days of the announcement, news reports surfaced about comments Mr. Hussain had made on a panel in 2004, while he was a student at Yale Law School, in which he referred to several domestic terrorism prosecutions as “politically motivated.” Among the cases he criticized was that of Sami Al-Arian, a former computer-science professor in Florida who pleaded guilty to aiding members of a Palestinian terrorist group.
At first, the White House said Mr. Hussain did not recall making the comments, which had been removed from the Web version of a 2004 article published by a small Washington magazine. When Politico obtained a recording of the panel, Mr. Hussain acknowledged criticizing the prosecutions but said he believed the magazine quoted him inaccurately, prompting him to ask its editor to remove the comments. On Feb. 22, The Washington Examiner ran an editorial with the headline “Obama Selects a Voice of Radical Islam.”
Muslim leaders watched carefully as the story migrated to Fox News. They had grown accustomed to close scrutiny, many said in interviews, but were nonetheless surprised. In 2008, Mr. Hussain had co-authored a paper for the Brookings Institution arguing that the government should use the peaceful teachings of Islam to fight terrorism.
“Rashad Hussain is about as squeaky clean as you get,” said Representative Keith Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat who is Muslim. Mr. Ellison and others wondered whether the administration would buckle under the pressure and were relieved when the White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, defended Mr. Hussain.
“The fact that the president and the administration have appointed Muslims to positions and have stood by them when they’ve been attacked is the best we can hope for,” said Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America.
It was notably different during Mr. Obama’s run for office. In June 2008, volunteers of his campaign barred two Muslim women in headscarves from appearing behind Mr. Obama at a rally in Detroit, eliciting widespread criticism. The campaign promptly recruited Mazen Asbahi, a 36-year-old corporate lawyer and popular Muslim activist from Chicago, to become its liaison to Muslims and Arab-Americans.
Bloggers began researching Mr. Asbahi’s background. For a brief time in 2000, he had sat on the board of an Islamic investment fund, along with Sheikh Jamal Said, a Chicago imam who was later named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land case. Mr. Asbahi said in an interview that he had left the board after three weeks because he wanted no association with the imam.
Shortly after his appointment to the Obama campaign, Mr. Asbahi said, a Wall Street Journal reporter began asking questions about his connection to the imam. Campaign officials became concerned that news coverage would give critics ammunition to link the imam to Mr. Obama, Mr. Asbahi recalled. On their recommendation, Mr. Asbahi agreed to resign from the campaign, he said.
He is still unsettled by the power of his detractors. “To be in the midst of this campaign of change and hope and to have it stripped away over nothing,” he said. “It hurts.”
From the moment Mr. Obama took office, he seemed eager to change the tenor of America’s relationship with Muslims worldwide. He gave his first interview to Al Arabiya, the Arabic-language television station based in Dubai. Muslims cautiously welcomed his ban on torture and his pledge to close Guantánamo within a year.
In his Cairo address, he laid out his vision for “a new beginning” with Muslims: while America would continue to fight terrorism, he said, terrorism would no longer define America’s approach to Muslims.
Back at home, Muslim and Arab-American leaders remained skeptical. But they took note when, a few weeks later, Mohamed Magid, a prominent imam from Sterling, Va., and Rami Nashashibi, a Muslim activist from Chicago, joined the president at a White-House meeting about fatherhood. Also that month, Dr. Faisal Qazi, a board member of American Muslim Health Professionals, began meeting with administration officials to discuss health care reform.
The invitations were aimed at expanding the government’s relationship with Muslims and Arab-Americans to areas beyond security, said Mr. Hussain, the White House’s special envoy. Mr. Hussain began advising the president on issues related to Islam after joining the White House counsel’s office in January 2009. He helped draft Mr. Obama’s Cairo speech and accompanied him on the trip. “The president realizes that you cannot engage one-fourth of the world’s population based on the erroneous beliefs of a fringe few,” Mr. Hussain said.
Other government offices followed the lead of the White House. In October, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke met with Arab-Americans and Muslims in Dearborn, Mich., to discuss challenges facing small-business owners. Also last fall, Farah Pandith was sworn in as the State Department’s first special representative to Muslim communities. While Ms. Pandith works mostly with Muslims abroad, she said she had also consulted with American Muslims because Mrs. Clinton believes “they can add value overseas.”
Despite this, American actions abroad — including civilian deaths from drone strikes in Pakistan and the failure to close Guantánamo — have drawn the anger of Muslims and Arab-Americans.
Even though their involvement with the administration has broadened, they remain most concerned about security-related policies. In January, when the Department of Homeland Security hosted a two-day meeting with Muslim, Arab-American, South Asian and Sikh leaders, the group expressed concern about the emergency directive subjecting passengers from a group of Muslim countries to additional screening.
Farhana Khera, executive director of Muslim Advocates, pointed out that the policy would never have caught the attempted shoe bomber Richard Reid, who is British. “It almost sends the signal that the government is going to treat nationals of powerless countries differently from countries that are powerful,” Ms. Khera recalled saying as community leaders around the table nodded their heads.
Ms. Napolitano, who sat with the group for more than an hour, committed to meeting with them more frequently. Ms. Khera said she left feeling somewhat hopeful.
“I think our message is finally starting to get through,” she said.
This last statement is a very big problem. To sit still and be silent against Islam is like waiting for death.
There is no peace within Islam and with Islam there can never be peace.

Speaking to Muslim students, activists and others, Mr. Brennan acknowledged many of their grievances, including “surveillance that has been excessive,” “overinclusive no-fly lists” and “an unhelpful atmosphere around many Muslim charities.”
“These are challenges we face together as Americans,” said Mr. Brennan, who momentarily showed off his Arabic to hearty applause. He and other officials have made a point of disassociating Islam from terrorism in public comments, using the phrase “violent extremism” in place of words like “jihad” and “Islamic terrorism.”
While the administration’s solicitation of Muslims and Arab-Americans has drawn little fanfare, it has not escaped criticism. A small but vocal group of research analysts, bloggers and others complain that the government is reaching out to Muslim leaders and organizations with an Islamist agenda or ties to extremist groups abroad.
They point out that Ms. Jarrett gave the keynote address at the annual convention for the Islamic Society of North America. The group was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a Texas-based charity whose leaders were convicted in 2008 of funneling money to Hamas. The society denies any links to terrorism.
“I think dialogue is good, but it has to be with genuine moderates,” said Steven Emerson, a terrorism analyst who advises government officials. “These are the wrong groups to legitimize.” Mr. Emerson and others have also objected to the political appointments of several American Muslims, including Rashad Hussain.
In February, the president chose Mr. Hussain, a 31-year-old White House lawyer, to become the United States’ special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. The position, a kind of ambassador at large to Muslim countries, was created by Mr. Bush. In a video address, Mr. Obama highlighted Mr. Hussain’s status as a “close and trusted member of my White House staff” and “a hafiz,” a person who has memorized the Koran.
Within days of the announcement, news reports surfaced about comments Mr. Hussain had made on a panel in 2004, while he was a student at Yale Law School, in which he referred to several domestic terrorism prosecutions as “politically motivated.” Among the cases he criticized was that of Sami Al-Arian, a former computer-science professor in Florida who pleaded guilty to aiding members of a Palestinian terrorist group.
At first, the White House said Mr. Hussain did not recall making the comments, which had been removed from the Web version of a 2004 article published by a small Washington magazine. When Politico obtained a recording of the panel, Mr. Hussain acknowledged criticizing the prosecutions but said he believed the magazine quoted him inaccurately, prompting him to ask its editor to remove the comments. On Feb. 22, The Washington Examiner ran an editorial with the headline “Obama Selects a Voice of Radical Islam.”
Muslim leaders watched carefully as the story migrated to Fox News. They had grown accustomed to close scrutiny, many said in interviews, but were nonetheless surprised. In 2008, Mr. Hussain had co-authored a paper for the Brookings Institution arguing that the government should use the peaceful teachings of Islam to fight terrorism.
“Rashad Hussain is about as squeaky clean as you get,” said Representative Keith Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat who is Muslim. Mr. Ellison and others wondered whether the administration would buckle under the pressure and were relieved when the White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, defended Mr. Hussain.
“The fact that the president and the administration have appointed Muslims to positions and have stood by them when they’ve been attacked is the best we can hope for,” said Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America.
It was notably different during Mr. Obama’s run for office. In June 2008, volunteers of his campaign barred two Muslim women in headscarves from appearing behind Mr. Obama at a rally in Detroit, eliciting widespread criticism. The campaign promptly recruited Mazen Asbahi, a 36-year-old corporate lawyer and popular Muslim activist from Chicago, to become its liaison to Muslims and Arab-Americans.
Bloggers began researching Mr. Asbahi’s background. For a brief time in 2000, he had sat on the board of an Islamic investment fund, along with Sheikh Jamal Said, a Chicago imam who was later named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land case. Mr. Asbahi said in an interview that he had left the board after three weeks because he wanted no association with the imam.
Shortly after his appointment to the Obama campaign, Mr. Asbahi said, a Wall Street Journal reporter began asking questions about his connection to the imam. Campaign officials became concerned that news coverage would give critics ammunition to link the imam to Mr. Obama, Mr. Asbahi recalled. On their recommendation, Mr. Asbahi agreed to resign from the campaign, he said.
He is still unsettled by the power of his detractors. “To be in the midst of this campaign of change and hope and to have it stripped away over nothing,” he said. “It hurts.”
From the moment Mr. Obama took office, he seemed eager to change the tenor of America’s relationship with Muslims worldwide. He gave his first interview to Al Arabiya, the Arabic-language television station based in Dubai. Muslims cautiously welcomed his ban on torture and his pledge to close Guantánamo within a year.
In his Cairo address, he laid out his vision for “a new beginning” with Muslims: while America would continue to fight terrorism, he said, terrorism would no longer define America’s approach to Muslims.
Back at home, Muslim and Arab-American leaders remained skeptical. But they took note when, a few weeks later, Mohamed Magid, a prominent imam from Sterling, Va., and Rami Nashashibi, a Muslim activist from Chicago, joined the president at a White-House meeting about fatherhood. Also that month, Dr. Faisal Qazi, a board member of American Muslim Health Professionals, began meeting with administration officials to discuss health care reform.
The invitations were aimed at expanding the government’s relationship with Muslims and Arab-Americans to areas beyond security, said Mr. Hussain, the White House’s special envoy. Mr. Hussain began advising the president on issues related to Islam after joining the White House counsel’s office in January 2009. He helped draft Mr. Obama’s Cairo speech and accompanied him on the trip. “The president realizes that you cannot engage one-fourth of the world’s population based on the erroneous beliefs of a fringe few,” Mr. Hussain said.
Other government offices followed the lead of the White House. In October, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke met with Arab-Americans and Muslims in Dearborn, Mich., to discuss challenges facing small-business owners. Also last fall, Farah Pandith was sworn in as the State Department’s first special representative to Muslim communities. While Ms. Pandith works mostly with Muslims abroad, she said she had also consulted with American Muslims because Mrs. Clinton believes “they can add value overseas.”
Despite this, American actions abroad — including civilian deaths from drone strikes in Pakistan and the failure to close Guantánamo — have drawn the anger of Muslims and Arab-Americans.
Even though their involvement with the administration has broadened, they remain most concerned about security-related policies. In January, when the Department of Homeland Security hosted a two-day meeting with Muslim, Arab-American, South Asian and Sikh leaders, the group expressed concern about the emergency directive subjecting passengers from a group of Muslim countries to additional screening.
Farhana Khera, executive director of Muslim Advocates, pointed out that the policy would never have caught the attempted shoe bomber Richard Reid, who is British. “It almost sends the signal that the government is going to treat nationals of powerless countries differently from countries that are powerful,” Ms. Khera recalled saying as community leaders around the table nodded their heads.
Ms. Napolitano, who sat with the group for more than an hour, committed to meeting with them more frequently. Ms. Khera said she left feeling somewhat hopeful.
“I think our message is finally starting to get through,” she said.
This last statement is a very big problem. To sit still and be silent against Islam is like waiting for death.
There is no peace within Islam and with Islam there can never be peace.

Stop Islamization Of America has joined forces with SIOE and has issued it last post from DL Adams. SIOA was a great site, there was not a post that did not educate me and many others. True patriots who saw the horror of Islam from where should all see it from, good vs. evil. SIOA brought many people together united against the dark side, Islam and shariah law. SIOA will now be run under outstanding people on the front line in the battle against Islam: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Stephen Gash and Anders Gravers. You have seen the names here and will see them again. I am a proud member of SIOA and SIOE. I am saddened by the loss out of DL Adams as he brought so much to the table for the counter jihad movement. We are growing and we will not be stopped. If bodies must end up falling and blood must run, so be it. I am not advocating violence but when your government is deaf, dumb and blind sometimes such actions are called for. Our society unfortunately does not yet have the will nor the understanding of the issues at hand to use this powerful Constitutional tool or the belief even that an existential threat exists for which such Constitutional action must be taken.
Analyses were made and articles written and posted here for the dissemination of this information; foundational material to understand, and ideological tools to use to oppose jihad and the absolutist, cruel ideology that created it.
We did all these things because we believed that it is our duty as Americans who love our country, our people, and our Constitution.
IF the ideology of Islam is totalitarian, misogynist, intolerant, and hateful to non-Muslims then we are obligated to learn about it, and oppose its growth in our country as we would any existential threat.
A recent announcement on the SIOE website as to changes in both SIOE and SIOA suggest that this domain is now superfluous. We will therefore soon discontinue operations at this domain.
While changes have occurred and our involvement with SIOE/SIOA is now concluded we would like to thank everyone who supported our efforts and contributed their time and energies to this important task.
Since this site was launched we’ve received thousands of communications from around the world and across the country in support. We have also had thousands of people send their contact information. For these excellent people I send a special thank you and assure you that your contact data will not be shared with any individual or group without your permission.
Though positive responses were the most common reaction to our posts and to our efforts in general there were also voices of opposition to what is presented on this site and to what has been published elsewhere. To those people in opposition I say this: We have taken our position based entirely upon our understanding of the doctrine of Islam, (Koran, Sira and Hadith), Islamic history, and the statements and actions of those who, in support of this doctrine, hate and/or harm/kill non-believers in compliance with Islamic doctrinal dictates.
We are obligated to oppose ideologies that wish to harm and subjugate those who do not adhere to that ideology. We do not believe in radical tolerance in that every ideology is equivalent and every concept of life is essentially the same in value; we are not post-modernists.
We believe that there is right and wrong; good and evil. We were never motivated by hatred or bigotry in this work but appreciate that some will not understand why we write and say the things we have. We see an existential struggle and have stepped forward to present our views, research, analysis, and thoughts.
Now, with this recent announcement of changes from SIOE it is time for us to step back.
The essential issues of this struggle have not changed though organizations and people may come and go. We did what we did because we love our country and our people, and feel obligated to oppose tyranny and hatred.

We are very excited to work with our "brothers" in Europe, in concert with FDI (the Freedom Defense Initiative,) Jihad Watch and of course, Atlas.

Stop Islamisation Of Europe (SIOE) is an alliance of people across Europe with the single aim of preventing Islam becoming a dominant political force in Europe.
It originated with the joining of Stop Islamificering Af Danmark (SIAD), a political party dedicated to stopping the Islamisation in Denmark, with a loose association of people in England, whose rallying cry is “No Sharia Here”, who want to maintain English law and want to stop the creeping growth of sharia law in England.
SIOE is growing in Europe with the amalgamation of similarly minded groups. It has spawned similar groups across the world (Stop the Islamisation of England, Australia, et al).
Anders Gravers, Danish leader of the Stop the Islamisation of Europe movement -- now a political party -- made this announcement:
We have now formed a new board for SIOA. The new board of SIOA is: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Stephen Gash and Anders Gravers.

Stephen and I have discussed for quite some time the fact that SIOA has not developed in the direction we wanted. There are groups enough who just write about the danger of Islam, but very few groups that actually do something to try to stop the Islamisation of the Western civilization.
SIOA was meant to be a group that should take action, staging demonstrations, happenings and events against the Islamisation of the U.S.
The way Stephen and I see it, we need to make SIOA more active. And in order to do that, we have now — after working for a long time to persuade them to take this on — gotten a yes from both Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer to become the leaders of SIOA.
We think they are the right people to bring SIOA to the forefront in the fight against the Islamisation of the U.S.
