The War for America: The Battle Has Come Home

I have very recently, during this extended time of quiet reflection and generally having a major attack of permanent permagrump, came across a very fine site. The patriot who runs this site, Restoring the American Republic speaks for me and I think, many, many others in a way that I cannot even begin to match, nor will I try. This individuals mission is pretty simple and clear: "My mission is to inform and work for the restoration of the American Republic". Thomas Mick has done this for quite some time and done it very very well. There will be more to come as I return to being the viper lying in wait here, waiting to get stepped upon. What kind of viper? Let me be called a Gaboon or Russell's  Viper.

I asked for and received his permission to re-post and share anything from his site as long as proper credits and a link back to his site are included. Why I would never steal any other way here on the Corner. If one is going to be 'borrowing or stealing posts' from other sites, one must do this above board with total class and character.

Excellent site and post. PatriotUSA

The War for America: The Battle Has Come Home

The night before writing this I had a dream that disturbed me greatly. A bus full of illegals was confronted and destroyed by Militia on a freeway by rocket and machine gun fire; the bodies and wreckage was set ablaze to destroy the pestilence it was carrying. What disturbed me wasn’t the destruction; people die in war… even the innocent. What disturbed me is that is what must be done to stop the spread of pestilence and gang infiltration into our cities and towns in order to protect our children in their schools, our people in the grocery stores, taverns, buses, trains, airliners, and even our churches; many of which have opened their doors to these people in order to receive over $6k per person per month from the traitors in our Federal Government. When they are allowed to cross our borders in violation of our laws infected with deadly diseases, forced into crowded facilities that enable the contagions to further spread in their numbers, and then bused and flown to cities and towns across the republic, those people are weapons being used against us, weapons that are more dangerous to America than suicide bombers; since no one has compassion for a person strapped with explosives determined to kill everyone around them.

We’re being forced to live in fear of those around us, especially those of Hispanic or West African descent. The MS-13 members are pretty easy to spot in our cities and towns since their tattoos are a uniform of sorts; those that understand the symbolism will even know what rank they hold, how many they’ve killed, and other details about their members. But the women, children, and elderly are another matter entirely… Americans of Latin descent and blacks should be particularly distressed at what our enemies are doing since it is difficult to distinguish American from non-American, similar to what we faced after the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, enabling Roosevelt to get away with incarcerating thousands of Japanese Americans in internment camps; our present circumstance is more grave since every one of the invaders is a potential weapon of mass destruction, who could be carrying any number of a host of infectious contagions that will kill thousands of our people. Our enemies within have dealt a deadly blow on our republic and our politicians have yet to realize the full implications of it… posturing about amnesty and concerned more about the logistics and costs of housing and processing these invaders, as if they’re refugees from some war on our border.

This is a deliberate attack on the American Republic, likely inspired by Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood which has infiltrated DHS, the White House, and has operations in Mexico; working with the cartels and smuggling operatives over our border. If we don’t start fighting these people and destroying the weapons arrayed against us we will die by the millions. Our military will be tasked with the disposal of our bodies along with those of the invaders who carried the pathogens; disarming us will simply be a matter of collecting the weapons from our homes while they carry our corpses out for disposal. Weapons are useless against a virus spread by the compassion of government; seems they found something more effective at disarming us than legislation.

I’m just one man… a man that would be portrayed as a lunatic by the media if I were to start firing upon the enemies of the republic. I cannot fight alone, others have tried in the past and were literally incinerated by the government and their deaths were either demonized by the media or ignored. Besides, I’m 10 years beyond the time when my body and health allowed me to be an effective soldier; this battle is up to the younger generation, with the leadership of those of us with the knowledge and wisdom to lead them in this uncertain and dangerous time. If we’re to have any chance at survival as a people and a free republic we must fight and fight mercilessly against both the enemy and the weapons he employs to destroy us. There will be a place for compassion and grief for the lost after the victory has been achieved but until that victory we must be resolute in the prosecution of the war brought to the very doorsteps of our homes; if we falter, the least we have to look forward to is a life of utter slavery and despotism.

Are there enough Americans left that understand what is happening and are willing to do what is necessary to stop it? We must start fighting this war or face total destruction from our inaction. Those of you waiting for the first shot can only be using that as an excuse for inaction since those shots were fired years ago at Ruby Ridge, Idaho and Waco, Texas in ’92 and ’93. It is my opinion that our reaction to the conflagration at Waco encouraged our enemies to get them to this point. The Federal and state agencies have kept pushing and pushing the barrier of our tolerance to the point that we’ll tolerate anything they do to us with barely a whimper… just as long as they continued employing and entertaining us.

Stand up as Americans and begin doing what is necessary to defend the republic and your family. The Mexican border is full of corruption by law enforcement and politicians; stop obeying them and fight anyone that tells you to stop sealing that border since it is a matter of life and death for your family to do so. Those telling you to go home because you’re not needed are protecting their payoffs and aiding smugglers and coyotes trafficking in human beings, including terrorists from the Middle East; such people are your enemy. America is no longer sheltered from battlefields abroad, the enemy is within and the battlefield is America.

Weimar America

Groobers, Shickle and Otherwise

By Fred Reed

Unstable countries are unstable, this not always being obvious in those countries, and then comes a man on a horse. The United States, methinks, is not particularly stable.
That anything seismic might happen is an idea doubtless inconceivable to most Americans, who still remember the America of Reader’s Digest, but is daily less improbable. Weimar America is not stable. The cracks in the foundations, the social crumbling and virulent antipathies grow daily more evident.

The economy declines, jobs leave for other climes, the petroyuan looms, college graduates crushed by debt find no work, the middle class shrinks, and the young begin to live perforce with their parents. Times of diminishing expectations are dangerous.

City after city joins the ranks of the bankrupt, semi literate, corrupt black Bantustans which by honest naming would be called Lower Third World. Their culture is utterly alien to that of Euro-whites. Across the open border to the south pour huge waves from the Latino slums, less alien to Euro-whites, less hostile, but nonetheless threatening to form yet another country within a country. The Third World proportion of America closes rapidly on a full third. Despite desperate attempts to impose multicultural harmony, experience shows that widely disparate peoples who do not like each other do not enjoy happy endings. My country ‘tis of three, sweet land of dystrophy….

America can no longer be called a democracy. The Constitution recedes in memory. Congress and the Supreme Court amount to nothing. Washington rests uneasily in the hands of a half-mad clique of geopolitical illiterates, warlike misfires playing dangerous games like little Kaiser Wilhelm's in a sandbox. Presiding over the city is Septimius Severus, Bokassa III, a negligible pol from Chicago who doesn’t like whites or understand European norms of government. He will keep the borders open and civil liberties in retreat.

A sort of insanity rules, warning of stress building along many political San Andreas faults waiting for the Big One. A pathologically aggressive United States bombs countries almost at random while little boys are dragged from school in handcuffs for pointing a finger and saying “Bang.”  Girls suffer from bulimia and anorexia, lunacies nonexistent in psychically healthy societies. A crack-brained feminism makes cockamamie circuses of the universities. Bastardy runs at a perilous thirty percent among white women, verging on cultural disintegration, and seventy percent among blacks. The epicene young grow in sheltered, meaningless hothouse-suburbs, never having worked, baited a hook, been in a schoolyard fight, or existed outside of a feckless bored helplessness.

From the cellars come prancing homosexuals, men in dresses and panties, the surgically altered inverts and sadomasochistic hobbyists. The high schools are become drug markets, differing only slightly from the middle schools. Life is a cabaret, old chum, here in Caligula’s bedroom.

An actual breakup of America does not seem inconceivable. Maine wants out. In the Southwest, Hispanics move rapidly toward demographic and then voting majorities. These states were once part of Mexico, and Mexicans know it. If they chose to ignore the federal government? Mississippi is thirty-seven percent black. An increase of five or ten percent by birth or immigration, a tipping point, white flight, et voila, a black republic. Would Washington send troops to retake these regions? It can’t even enforce its marijuana laws in Colorado and Washington State.

Below this seething maelstrom of degeneracy lie dangerous shoals of cultural conservatism, of people who believe in two sexes and birth within wedlock and orderly society obedient to law. They are quietly very, very angry at seeing everything they stand for eaten away by the multi-culti, touchy-feely, everything-goes miasma emanating from Washington. They speak of personal responsibility, learning the multiplication tables, English as the national language, and no toleration of crime-- and they know who commits it. Whether you think them simple-minded and fascist or wholesome and self-reliant defines which side of the gaping cultural divide you inhabit.

In times like these arises a yearning for a strong man to sweep away the filth, banish the disorder, and restore a possibly existent former Elysium. Such desires usually involve assertion of the national myths, in this case of the brave, self-reliant, and clean-living Davy Crockett and the immaculately wholesome small towns of Norman Rockwell. These never were, which doesn’t matter. The America of 1960 came much closer than what we now have.

And so a strong man arises from somewhere. With luck you end up with Lee Kuan Yew instead of Mussolini or, worse, that dark squatty effeminate blond Aryan superman of the Beer Hall Putsch. Unfortunately you can’t tell who you have got until after you have got him.

Authoritarianism is not without a pull. Among old hands who have been around the East one not infrequently hears approving reference to the immigration-and-customs forms the stews handed out on final into Singapore’s airport. I doubt that I can quote it verbatim, but I can come close.

“There is a death penalty in Singapore for importation or possession of drugs. This penalty is carried out.” Color in the original. Singapore’s problems with drugs were, well, exiguous. Why, who would have thought it?

In these conversations there usually comes up the case of the young American caught vandalizing cars in Singapore. The  punishment is a particularly agonizing form of caning. This caused horror in the US on one side of the cultural divide, but satisfaction on the other. “Reckon the stupid bastard's going to key any more cars?” As a society becomes ever more permissive and lawless, this sort of thinking gains in attractiveness.

In America, something is going to happen. It will not happen just now. Things are not yet bad enough. Wait. Whether it will be a continued slow sinking into an internally chaotic semi-bush world status, or a serious war with Russia and China started by brain-burnt sexagenarian adolescents in Congress and pasty neocons with Napoleonic fantasies, or a coup by the military, or something else, I don’t know. A Pentagonal coup d’état does not seem likely, granted. Our generals are not greatly political as long as they get their toys and wars, and they lack the doughty moralism of a Hindenburg or Ludendorff.

In practical terms, though, four helicopter gunships and twenty Black Hawks of troops arriving over Washington from Quantico would do it. Whether the public would care enough to do anything about it, or whether there would be anything they could do, is uncertain. Enough people are sick enough of the current state of things that they might say, what the hell, give it a try. The crucial question world then be how the rest of the military would respond.

Think of it as Merle Haggard versus Justin Bieber. Or Sarah Palin versus Paris Hilton. But something is going to happen.

One for the ladies-CCW handbags and purses

The local paper is quite worthless as are most newspapers these days. They like to think they are 'conservative' yet they are not and I will not go into the reasons or examples.

That out of the way, every now and then a worthwhile article shows up. This one must have slipped by the chekist censors especially when you consider that Bend, Oregon is now overrun by stinking hordes of the unwashed politically correct left, much of them having moved here from elsewhere, like California or the East coast.

Let's talk about carrying protection that is not found in feminine care aisle. Insulted, stunned or did I get your attention? Did you just shrug your shoulders and keep reading? This is about carrying, at least for some of you. REAL LIFE PROTECTION.

This is about a small start up company which makes purses and handbags for women who carry concealed weapons, or not. Link to the company website is right here:

Been & Badge

Seems like a VERY timely idea and the perfect time for such a company and these products. Ladies are not just wanting frilly and pink. Not even close. How about items that look great, are well made here is the states and extremely functional. Not for everyone and not inexpensive but quality, handcrafted items never are.

Stylish handbags that can hide your handgun

By Kylie Gumpert / Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Faith Kohler wears skinny jeans, ankle boots, chunky bracelets and cropped jackets. She wasn’t about to settle for a handbag that didn’t fit her style.

And that was the problem: She couldn’t find a purse that would fit her wardrobe and also her handgun.

After years of wearing her firearm on her hip as a federal agent, Kohler, 44, was looking for an option that would give her more versatility: a concealed-carry handbag. So she’s created her own handbag company, Been & Badge, with handbag designer Jodi Been, who lives and works in Los Angeles.

“For me it’s second nature to carry a firearm,” said Kohler, a New York native who graduated from Marquette Law School and lives in Milwaukee. “I looked, and I couldn’t find something that was really ‘me.’”

She and Been, who met through mutual friends, began collaborating about a year and a half ago, communicating almost solely by video calls — comparing swatches of fabric and sharing thoughts on designs, then shipping materials and prototypes back and forth in the mail.

“We wanted things that didn’t read like our competitors,” said Been, 37. “We didn’t want to make tactical safari bags. We wanted to make contemporary, on-trend handbags.”
They met face to face for the first time in March, having gotten their venture off the ground with a $10,000 investment. To save as much as possible for materials and production, they were conservative in the number of bags produced and in their use of cosmetic touches, such as product labels, photos, graphic design and logos.

The company is a startup in the truest sense: After getting a start by creating interest online through social media sites such as Instagram, it launched its website at beenandbadge.com last week. It offers two types of handbags: a clutch and a tote that converts to a cross-body bag. It also sells three holsters that fit small to full-size guns.
Each handbag has a concealed pocket inside that snaps closed and is lined with Velcro. The pockets are made to hold the holsters, which were developed by Wilde Built Tactical, a San Diego-area company run by law enforcement officers; the holsters can be inserted and adjusted by users for comfort and efficiency, in case they need to quickly access their handgun.

“The industry has realized that ‘women owning handguns’ is growing,” said Brian Hugh, a retired federal officer and the Been & Badge team’s gun expert. “Their response — and you have to understand that this is pretty much all-male boardrooms — is, ‘Well, we’ll paint it pink and then they’ll buy it.’”

Or, Hugh said, companies will go to another extreme and make bags that he describes as either “cutesy” or something your grandmother might use.

Been & Badge handbags are made from textured brown, black and purple leathers, and range in price from $259 to $354. The holsters start at $20.

Not just for gun owners

But you don’t have to be gun-savvy to buy these handbags. You don’t even have to agree with concealed-carry laws or gun rights.

Instead, the company’s target market is simply “women who want beautiful handbags,” Kohler said. So far, it has actually sold more bags to women who opted out of purchasing a holster.

“People buy bags because of what they look like on the outside. How they use them on the inside is an entirely personal decision,” said Been, who doesn’t carry a handgun. “Some people might opt to use that pocket to stow a mini iPad there; it’s just a small, safe and concealed pocket.”

Been worked with a Los Angeles artisan she knows to produce the handbags, which he makes in his studio.

“You think there would be more people making leather bags, but it’s almost a dying art. There aren’t as many local producers,” Been said.

To help with some of the details of starting and running a business, Kohler and Been reached out to attorney Mike Bamberger of Beck, Chaet, Bamberger & Polsky S.C. in Milwaukee and Cloud[8]Sixteen, a search engine optimization company that put the finishing touches on the Been & Badge website.

“We learned that we didn’t need to know everything so long as we built our network with people who are experts in their own fields,” Kohler said.

Minding state laws

Marilyn Lavin, a professor of marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, said the proliferation of concealed carry laws could definitely work in Been & Badge’s favor. As of last July, all 50 states have some sort of concealed-carry law in effect. Wisconsin’s was signed in November 2011.

“Women are probably just as likely as men to want the ‘protection’ of a gun,” Lavin said in an email. “So I’d say the market may definitely be there.”

But even with these laws in place, some stores and public venues ban weapons, concealed or not. That was a point Lavin brought up: Where would women who buy handbags to conceal a handgun actually be able to carry and use it?

That’s where Been & Badge’s lengthy legal disclaimer comes in: The disclaimer says the company is not liable for what its customers might do with their firearms in jurisdictions where it’s not lawful and advises customers to follow all firearms laws.

Been & Badge has started small, a strategy that Troy Vosseller, entrepreneur and co-founder of Madison start-up incubator gener8tor, said is wise. He has a “100 rule,” advising startups to avoid making big investment decisions until they have sold 100 units of their product.

“The best way to finance is organically, by selling a lot of product and having a lot of cash flow,” Vosseller said. “What I see a lot of small-business owners do is they optimize for volume, and they haven’t even proved they can sell.”

Made in the USA

Been & Badge isn’t thinking about opening a brick-and-mortar store. Kohler said they want to see how they do in the market, and if they can continue to afford manufacturing in the United States, that’s what they prefer to do.

Been, who has worked for accessories retailer Claire’s, is familiar with the differences between overseas and U.S. production. She said producing in Los Angeles, while more expensive than making handbags overseas, is important because it’s possible to oversee the slightest of details and make quick changes. It’s also a selling point.

Vosseller said he’s seeing more and more business owners looking to produce in the U.S. His advice is to focus on core competencies.

“That might be about marketing and branding, and not making your widget,” Vosseller said. “But, if your core competency is a specific skill, like sewing and picking patterns, then you should focus on that.”

As they look to expand, the Been & Badge team is looking to wholesale to retailers, such as boutiques and small retail shops — what Vosseller calls a smart way to tap the market. Their eventual goal is to sell in department stores.

“Someday, in a perfect world,” Kohler said, “I would love for us to create jobs and have our own facility.”

When the music stops-OAF Nation

"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

The coming war will be for the heart and soul of America. It will be fought here at home with our enemies pouring over, under and around our walls.

All I can say to Grifter is this; you are  now needed here at home, more than ever.

For those who dare to criticize those who have served, to those who would spit on any veteran from any war or conflict, or wag your fat, soft finger finger in their faces, stained by the sweat of combat, the blood of sacrifice, having watched their friends give their all in far off lands, while you, progressive trash, sleep safely in your warm, cozy bed, with your cell phone and twitter dancing you to sleep, as you worry about your next selfie that you will take at Starbucks as you rush off off to buy that new tablet or phone that will rob you of just a a tiny bit more of your ability to think and act for yourself, do not EVER forget who fought for and protected your soft, fat multicolored ass and your selfish way of life.

The gates of hell have been opened by this regime that has turned the White House into the Black House (Thank you, Leo for that one), as the words of Martin Luther King are mocked and choked off by the foul tide of political correctness, excessive diversity and excessive multiculturalism.

The wages of diplomacy and peace are just another form of tyranny and slavery.

Convert, submit or die does not just apply to Islam and those smelly bearded jihadis. CSD is also about DOMESTIC conversion, submission or death. Think about the implications of this and what most likely now lies ahead of us. It will not be easy nor is there voting our way out of this The gates of Mordor have swung wide open and these gates do lie on just the banks of the Potomac.

The comments at the source tell us all we need to know. Read through them. I leave you with this one and thanks for reading PatriotUSA:

"Be ready to fight again. Call out the appeasers and cowards who talk a big game but hide behind "strongly worded letters" as the height of bravery. Laugh at interventionists who want "something done" in all things but have no clue about Objective or End State. Be ready to train your sons and daughters to fight the 9th Crusade. Be ready to defend America against those who offer only three options: convert, submit, or die.

The Global War on Terror is only "over" in the minds of politicians who have no concept of what "Terror" really is and why it hates. This is only the barest of pauses. It is hesitates only because our strategy will not realize the required end state. This war is against an enemy who will only be stopped when we essentially give them their own options back to them."

When the music stops

“I want to be dead with my friends….where the iron sharpens the iron.”-Every Time I Die

I am bearing witness to the end of an era. I have the distinct blessing, or the agonizing misfortune of having front-row seats to the death throes of a creature that has defined a generation. This creature is what my buddies and I refer to as the Global War On Terror (GWOT for short). 13 years, thousands of lives, trillions of dollars, and two presidents later, those of us who contributed our very being to this endeavor are left thinking, “What now?”

On May 23, 2013, POTUS Obama declared the GWOT “over.” Just like that. Done. Finished. It felt to my brothers and I, that our purpose in life had just disappeared.

Of course, we knew that there are still things going on in the shadows of foreign policy. Smelly, bearded extremists are still getting shot in the face in far-off lands. But, to the majority of us who had spent our entire adult lives finding, fixing, and finishing, our jobs were apparently over. We had sacrificed marriages, seeing our kids grow up,  watching our parents grow old, witnessed our brothers deaths, and lost limbs for a conflict that we didn’t start, but were damn sure going to finish. We had been involved so long that it became us. Sure, some of us got out and made strides in veteran’s advocacy, tactical efficiency and efficacy, community growth, technological advancements, and improving quality of life for the layperson at home (i.e. the Perfect Push-Up). This writing is not for them. This is talking about the guy that has cut his teeth and dodged bullets since he was 18 years old and now has to try to find a place in this world….a world without the GWOT.

A friend of mine once said, “PTSD is the realization that you will never be this cool again.” He was referring to being on deployment, toting guns, and generally being a hard-ass. He was kind of correct. Once you wash the dirt and grit off and put on a clean shirt, you’re out of place in the civilian world. No one gets your jokes. Everyone wonders why you’re so insensitive to the plights of celebrities and pro-ball players. People view you as a victim, someone that somehow got duped into joining the military and marching off to fight, only to come home with less friends and more nightmares. You go to work at your job thinking that whatever you do today will never matter as much as what you did over there. You will never work as hard in this cubicle, office, ambulance, bank, or courthouse, as you did in the killing fields. You have this little voice in the back of your head whispering, “You will never feel more alive. It doesn’t get any better than those days.” Sadly enough, a lot of veterans are heeding this voice and going home and killing themselves, either with a gun or with heroin and Hennessy. The suicide rate is an epidemic and the VA is a joke. Personally, in my non-solicited and ultimately meaningless opinion, I think this is largely due to the fact that a guy went over and put in work, to come home to a government that doesn’t support him, and a public that doesn’t appreciate him. We live in a society that puts more effort and emphasis on Justin-fucking-Bieber than their neighbor who lost his legs in Ramadi. It doesn’t feel good when the media is more ablaze in memoriam for a celebrity that OD’d on the shitter than Chris Kyle or more recently, Aaron Torian. It stings a little when the Commander in Chief makes more phone calls to his travel agent and “brave” basketball players than to the widows of the fallen. Bottom line: empty thanks and the obvious look of pity don’t do much for a guy that feels lost at home without his brothers or people that REALLY care. But, I digress.

The last troops in Iraq left with little fanfare. Under the guidance of an apologetic administration, they left that country with their ears back and their tails tucked. To the guys at home at the time, they could no longer point at the TV and say, “I was there.” Afghanistan seems to be heading the same direction. One big-ass circle. The Taliban are seizing ground again, poised to take power, and the troops (from MY vantage point) are just hanging out in the FOB’s eating Burger King and biding their time, and why shouldn’t they? Our strategy in this country has been telescoped so far that the enemy knows when we’re going home! Why go out and put foot to ass when the shot-clock is down to the final second? No one is truly invested in the war. Again, my opinion. Hell, a staggering amount of troops here were 9-10 years old on 9/11/2001! It wasn’t even a “real” event to them, but rather an occurrence, handed down to them by parents and teachers and history books. They have no clue why they’re here. The commands don’t seem to give a fuck about more than eye pro and glow belts. Karaoke night is priority numero uno. The ROE’s have been so neutered that they’ve become a detriment to the troops. Everyone is concerned about packing their shit and shipping out.

But, there are those of us that still feel we have more to contribute. There are those of us who aren’t meant for a desk. There are men in this world still willing to go out there, for whatever reason, and skull-fuck the enemies of the USA. But, is there really a place for us any more?

Some of us went back into the military, but are hitting the roadblocks associated with a large military drawdown. Some of us tried serving our communities, I myself became a paramedic, but grew bored rather quickly. Some of us went the PMC route, which is perfect to an extent. I get to tote guns and hang with the boys and count racks of cash. But, that world is dying down as well. My question is: “where do we go when the world no longer needs us?” What happens when the reason you got out of bed every morning for 12-13 years, isn’t there anymore? Especially when you know that the whole game was mishandled. It’s hard as fuck sitting back and watching the talking heads talk about the “mistakes” and the “futility” and asking “was it worth it?” when you have had to bury more friends than most people know their entire lives. It’s very sobering to think to yourself, “MY war is over.”

Maybe it’s the way it goes. Maybe, those of us that still have more to give, are destined to sit on porch in a rocking chair or a bar stool at the VFW and talk about the “good ol’ days” with our buddies. My fear is maybe we’re going the way of Gran Tourino. As much of a badass as Clint Eastwood’s character was in that movie, he was still a sad, bitter, old man. Another movie reference is the grocery store scene in “The Hurt Locker” (regardless of the movie, that scene was powerful).

My other fear is that the world will bury what we’ve done. The history books will refer to our endeavors the way I learned about Vietnam. The story I was told by my teachers was wildly different than the stories my father shared. His wasn’t stories of mistakes, his was a story of brotherhood and sacrifice. Thus is the divide in my generation. My brothers and I tell stories with passion and pride, and my non-serving peers think: what a waste of a life. It may have been a waste, time will tell, but it was a glorious waste. I “wasted” my life seeing the very best of a generation of MEN stand up and go do what was asked of them. I “wasted” my life in third-world shit-holes, knowing my brothers cared more about me than the girl at home. I “wasted” my life watching guys risk and give their lives for one another. I would not ask to “waste” my life any other way. I will also do it as long as I can. My only question, echoed by thousands of GWOT vets is: “what now?”
-Grifter

Christians and Jews in Syria

Incredible as it seems there are still a few Jews left in Syria. However, their situation is just as dire as that of the Christian minority.

The below op-ed in the Orange County Register is by my friend, staff editor and columnist Rory Cohen. With all the phony talk about "genocide" in Gaza, this piece reminds us what genocide is really all about.

Commieshucetts: the model for all gun hating states

If you live in Massachusetts and this new law is not the straw that breaks YOUR back and wakes you up to leave, no flee, the new satellite state of COMMIESHUCETTS, then you comrade, deserve what you get. This is like living under Islam and sharia law but worse as the means to defend your family, yourself, has been totally stripped away from you by the regime that thinks it knows what is best for me, you and of course what else, the children. It is ALWAYS for the children.

Myself and many others will not feel anything for you. How many warnings do you, I , we need to realize that these gun grabbing pinkos, red diaper babies, stooges of the new wave of progressive, regressive reform, education, and social warfare want to take every gun away from us. I mean EVERY gun.

Here in the hinterlands of the high desert, in the burg where I reside, I just found out that it is now illegal to discharge 'ANY' gun within the city limits. So I did a bit of checking the chekists have just about covered any 'type' of gun, to the point of it being absurd but not in any way shape or form funny. Here locally, 'gun' includes pellet, BB, Nerf, air soft, and anything that RESEMBLES a gun even it it shoots popcorn, Styrofoam, cardboard, little pieces of potato, water pistols or soakers, cap, pop guns, dart guns, the list was quite extensive.

What the gun hating liberals have done in Massachusetts is all but removed your second amendment rights. What is really sad about this is that the 'pro-gun ' group Gun Owners Action League actually is calling this bill a 'win' and that we should all relax and go back to sleep because the original bill  was much worse than this one passed. Many in Law enforcement plan to use the new bill to REVOKE EXISTING Firearms Owner ID cards or FOIDs. I hope the bill is challenged and overturned but considering this is in Massachusetts, I have serious doubts. PatriotUSA

Poly-Ticks: Extreme anti-gun law passes in MA

The gun law that emerged from the conference committee in Massachusetts has the state’s anti-gun politicians, mostly but not all Democrats, thrilled; it makes the right to have any gun at all, including a single-shot shotgun, subject to police discretion.

The law erases, or, pending court action we might say attempts to erase, the 2nd Amendment from the rights of subjects of and visitors to the Bay State and converts them into a privilege bestowed, or not, by a police official; although the cop must seek a rubber stamp from a Massachusetts court to deny the right. This was not a near-run thing: the vote was extremely lopsided, 122-29 in the state House and 37-3 in the state Senate.

A denied person can appeal — to an anti-gun Massachusetts judge. Already, police oathbreakers throughout the Bay State are high-fiving over their new authoritah. Police already had unfettered discretion over hand guns and semi-automatic centerfire rifles, the possession of which requires a pistol permit under the state’s byzantine gun laws.

Despite the liberal dream regime of the nation’s strictest gun control; lax, idle policing; suspect-friendly and victim-hostile courts; and, not least, short sentences in “program”-rich prisons, the state has a great deal of gang activity and violent crime, far more per capita than other New England states. For some ironic reason some of the most liberal conurbations are foremost in the crime statistics, and the very leading cities are the ones where the police exercise their permit discretion most narrowly, for some counterintuitive reason (if you’re a newspaper reporter).
People's Republic of Massachusetts

All of the state’s liberal, anti-gun papers have editorialized in favor of the ban. The Boston Globe (which favored an even stricter version that did not pass). The Boston Herald. The Worcester Telegram (which sounded almost pro-gun, praising this anti-gun bill). The Springfield Republican-American (theirs does not seem to be on line). The Quincy Patriot-Ledger and Metro-West Daily News. The Hampshire Gazette, from the Sapphic mecca of Northampton. The Lowell Sun was a rare exception among the top 10 ABC circulation papers in the state; it didn’t comment on this bill but has previously called for control of “politicians, not gun owners.”

Republicans are as useless as Democrats in the Bay State, but the Democrats can get way out there. One candidate for Attorney General, Warren Tolman, called for a sweeping ban on all handguns until “smart gun” technology is developed, then backed off to “new guns.” His primary opponent, Maura Healey, continues to insist she’s to the hard, totalitarian left of Tolman on the issue.

The weak in-state gun rights group, the Gun Owners’ Action League, accepted the law as an appeasement measure, an important milestone in GOAL’s slide to irrelevance. GOAL’s point was that the original draft language was even worse, so this bill was a win, and MA subjects gain a right to have their denial heard by a judge, and — whoopie-do — won’t need the new may-issue FID Card for pepper spray. Clearly, their chains rest lightly upon their shoulders, and their manacles are but a sign of how much their Master values them.
Boston Police Chief Evans celebrated the law, and intends to use it to deny long gun licenses (“Firearms Owner ID Cards”) and gun registration to all but the police and those connected to organized crime — in Boston, two sets with a big intersection. He also plans to “review” existing FOIDs, with a view to revoking most of them.

How’s the law going to work for Evans? Well, first let’s take a look at his department’s performance on homicides: poor. Over the last ten years, Evans’s record is to leave more than half of homicides cold cases, unsolved). Evans appears unconcerned about his department’s worse-than-this-year’s-Red-Sox record, but a series of exposés of the underperforming homicide unit in the Boston Herald seem to have stirred Marty Walsh, a mayor of the public employees’ unions more than a mayor of the murder victims, to discuss, however reluctantly, taking action.
A Herald special report this week found that more than half of the city’s 628 homicides over the 10-year span remain unsolved and that murder clearance rates are marked by disparities in
everything from neighborhood to race of the victim. Black males, for example, were 10 times more likely to be murdered than white males — but their killers were caught at a 38 percent rate compared with a 79 percent rate for whites.
They don’t even aim very high: their target is a 50% clearance rate (the case is cleared if a suspect is identified, even if he is not arrested, not tried, or acquitted). They’ve only hit that target two years running once, and barely, former chief Ed Davis told the Herald. On the plus side, if they go as far as indictment, they almost always win a conviction (90+%), so they seem to be holding cases for strong and convincing evidence, which is a factor in the low closure rate (most big cities are over 60%, so Boston’s a lot worse than its peers). Here’s the whole Herald series:
Justice on Hold:
Since we didn’t have the ambition to sieve through the 628 murders over 10 years, 336 of which are now, or are becoming, cold cases, we took a quick spin through the 29 murders Boston has experienced in 2014. A handful of them were with knives, so those are unlikely to be affected by Evans’s anti-legal-gun-owner push. Given Evans’s low prioritization of actual crime fighting as opposed to gun-owner fighting, a significant number remain, as you might expect, unsolved. Of the solved cases, the amount committed by registered, licensed gun owners, or any legal gun owners, appears to be … zero. Committed with long guns? Zero. Committed by activists with GOAL or the NRA, Evans’s and Walsh’s favorite whipping boys? Zero. Committed by gang members, felons, teens and other Federally prohibited persons — just about all of ‘em.

Likely effect of Evans’s top “crime-fighting” priority: zero.

Maybe his priority is not crime fighting.

Arab Christians Rally in Support of Persecuted Christians in Middle East

Gary Fouse

The symbol on the t-shirt is that which ISIS has posted on Christian homes in Mosul, which is used to denote Christian.

On Saturday several hundred Arab Christians came together at the Federal Building in Los Angeles (Westwood) to demonstrate for their persecuted brethren in the Middle East. The rally was organized by an organization called A Demand for Action. They were mostly Assyrians and Chaldeans, many of whom were from Iraq and Syria. I attended, filmed much of it, and spoke to several of the participants. Their recurring message was why is the world not paying attention to what is happening to Christians in the Middle East, especially Iraq and Syria? Where is President Obama? Where is the news media?

There were several speakers including Arab ministers and two young Iranian Muslim girls who spoke in solidarity with the Christians. The speakers told of the suffering and the forced conversions by the forces of ISIS. Again and again, they asked why the world, the media, and President Obama were ignoring their plight.

I can't tell you refreshing this was not just that finally people in this country were standing up and speaking out, but that it was coming from Arab Americans who painted a picture much different from that Americans are exposed to from the likes of CAIR and other like organizations.

Here is an interview I did with one of the event organizers.

Indeed, I did not see the media at the event although they showed up to cover the pro-Palestinian protest that began at 1 pm, after the Christian protest was over.

I think it behooves us all to learn more about the Arab Christian communities here in America and learn their stories. Given what is going on in the Middle East, I hope America will welcome as many of them as possible should they choose to leave the horror they are experiencing. First and foremost there must be international pressure on the UN to act on behalf of the Christians still trapped in the Middle East to provide a safe zone for them.

Video of Saturday's Pro-Palestinian Protest in LA

Below are videos I took Saturday at the pro-Palestinian protest in front of the Federal Building in Westwood between 1-5 pm.

As the Arab Christian protesters pack up to leave, the pro-Palestinian protesters move in.

In the above clip, you see the pro-Hamas thugs swarming the man (blue t-shirt, beard, shaved head and sun glasses) with the anti-Mohammad sign chanting in his face, "Bigots gotta go." At the end, I try to get the attention of the cops.

In this video Sheriff's deputies come to the rescue of the man with the anti-Mohammad sign (bald head, blue t-shirt)

Here is an interview I did with two of the protesters. I asked them a few questions about Hamas. Listen to their answers.

This clip lasts almost 11 minutes. Watch what happens to the man in the yellow shirt holding an Israeli flag and his blond female companion with the blonde hair as they are swarmed and followed across the street until they reach a group of pro-Palestinian supporters. Only at this point are there cops there to protect them. You can here my voice trying to get the attention of the police as to the developing problem.

 "Baby killers"

In the above video, the muscular young man in the grey t-shirt with shaved head at one point (after this clip) chanted "Long live Jihad. Long live Hamas"" at the pro-Israeli protesters. I was not ten feet from him and heard it clearly. I thought I had it captured on video, but it seems I did not. I don't doubt, however, that someone else has it on their tape.

Pro-Palestinian Protest in Los Angeles UGLY

Protesters try to intimidate pro-Israeli protesters-without success

"Long Live Hamas! Long Live Jihad!

That was what a pro-Palestinian protester shouted into the faces of pro-Israeli protesters today at a demonstration in front of the Federal Building in Westwood on Saturday. I was there not ten feet away. I heard it, and I saw the man clearly.

It was an ugly scene all around beginning at 1 pm when several hundred people gathered on Wilshire Blvd. They were basically a collection of Arabs and retreads from the 1960s, professional protesters from ANSWER Coalition, an organization dedicated to protesting anything and everything. If you dig women with blue hair and women who don't shave their armpits, this was for you. (Those were the Americans.)

In this demonstration I was there strictly as a cameraman and not openly taking any sides as I wanted to mingle with everyone.

The first thing that happened involved a gentleman who had showed up at the end of the Arab Christian rally with a sign that had insulting statements about the Prophet Mohammad. (This guy shows up at a lot of events in the LA area.) The leaders of the Christian demonstration were not at all pleased with his presence because it was not the message that they wanted to send. At any rate when the Palestinian protest got going, the man was swarmed by several protesters who were chanting in his face. I tried to get the attention of cops or security, but nobody was around. When I returned the man was minus his sign. Eventually, the cops arrived and stayed close to him until he left. All the time he was being harassed, he never budged.

The demonstration came just as the previous demonstration was winding up by several hundred Christian Arabs, Assyrians, Chaldeans and mostly folks from Iraq and Syria who were protesting the genocide against Christians in the Middle East. I will post on that separately.

To sum it up, this pro-Palestinian demonstration featured chants of "Free Free Palestine" and several other top forty hits, which I don't recall. Not much original. There was a guy with the green flag that read in Arabic, "There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger".

It was when a few dozen pro-Israeli folks showed up that things got ugly. One man and his wife with an Israeli flag were immediately surrounded by demonstrators who got in their faces and screamed at them as they made their way all the way across the street. I stayed close and filmed and at one point tried to get the attention of the LAPD and LASD who were keeping a low profile across Wilshire Blvd.

Unlike the recent pro-Israel protest on July 13, the police did not try to separate the two groups. There were a few hundred pro-Palestinians and a few dozen pro-Israelis. The pro-Palestinians kept crossing the street to confront the pro-Israelis, and at that point, the cops stayed close by. At one point when things were getting tense, I was standing next to a Sheriff's deputy and another deputy came over and told her that if anything happened not to go into the crowd.

Note the man in center with two flags, both reading, "There is but one God, Allah, and Mohammad is his messenger"

At about 3 pm, the crowd crossed the street and started marching west on the north side lane of Wilshire Blvd. with full police escort, cars, motorcycles, helicopters and all. In other words, the west bound lane of Wilshire Blvd was closed for the protesters. The 405 off ramp at Wilshire was also blocked. You would have thought it was a presidential funeral. This was in marked contrast to the July 13 pro-Israel demonstration when people were confined to the sidewalk. Different rules for different people, I guess.
Note the flags: Cuba (and Che), Venezuela and, of course, Palestinian

The protest lasted until 5, and the pro-Palestinian contingent had to be escorted by police from the scene as the mob followed yelling, "Shame on you!".

Shame on them. They acted like uncivilized idiots.

I will be posting videos shortly.
