Guess Who Is, er, Was Being Honored by the State Department

Another State Department Fiasco
"In August, an Ibrahim tweet disseminated Hitler's notorious quote claiming that "no crime, no act against morality" lacks the hands of the Jews in it."
Today, John Kerry and Michelle Obama are scheduled to honor a group of women they selected to receive an International Women of Courage award. However, one woman, Samira Ibrahim of Egypt, has been crossed from the list at the last moment because of an outcry. It seems the Jew-hating lady has a bad habit of celebrating little events like 9-11 and the killing of Israeli tourists in Bulgaria. The award has now been suspended as the DOS conducts an "investigation". The first article is by Samuel Tadros in the Weekly Standard. The second, by the Jewish Telegraphic News Agency (JTA), brings us an update.

Given the proven ineptitude of the State Department (under any administration, but especially so now), this should come as no surprise. I don't know anything about the other ladies listed, but I could certainly suggest some names that are missing from the list.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Nonie Darwish
Wafa Sultan
Elizabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff
Malala Yusufzai (the teenage girl shot by the Taliban)
Don't look for any of these women to be given that award anytime soon.

Help me here please - confused be my name. Since when does MO et al give a good God damn about what ANYONE thinks? The media has their backs, what possible difference could any amount of moral outrage make? Is it a matter of needing to keep up a front for the little time left needed to gather round enough zombies to destroy the rest of us?
