The Hypocrisy of Hamas and Their Friends

I periodically post reports from One New Heart, a Jerusalem-based venture run by Hank Dannecker, an American Christian missionary. This organization, working in conjunction with Israeli hospitals and Israeli surgeons working pro-bono, provides life saving heart surgery to Palestinian children suffering from congenital heart defects. Due to inter-marriage, this is a serious problem among Palestinian children, and many would die without this surgery.

Though apparently not connected, it seems that another Palestinian's family has benefitted from the compassion of the Israelis and their medical system. That would be Ismael Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas in Gaza.

Hypocrisy? You make the call. Of course, you will never hear about this from Hamas' supporters in the West and America. George Galloway, arguably Hamas' biggest useful idiot, won't talk about it. How about Yvonne Ridley, that so-called "journalist" in the UK who is always ranting about Israel? You won't hear about it form Students for Justice in Palestine or the various Muslim Student Associations on various US campuses, whose primary goal is the deligitimization of Israel on university campuses. Nor will you hear about it from idiots like Rabbi Ysroel Dovid Weiss of Neturei Karta, a fringe Jewish sect that doesn't believe Israel should exist. But what can you expect from him since he is also a big friend and supporter of the Iranian regime?

Isn't it interesting that the Hamas charter refuses any thought of negotiating with Israel and only calls for its destruction? It even quotes the infamous hadith of hate that talks of the last Jews hiding behind the trees and the trees calling out to the Muslim to come and kill the Jew hiding behind it. Yet, when they need urgent medical help, who do they turn to?
