Since there does not seem to be much about Oregon and how badly the democrats have trashed this state in their reign of Obama like spend and tax, I thought I would work in a few posts about the Northwest. There is nothing more that I would love to see is the democrats get a total stomping here in the 2010 elections. It is possible but highly improbable that this will occur. After all, the voters of this state went for Obama anand they proved their mettle(or lack of) by passing measures 66 and 67 last month. Both of these were TAX increases. One on the wealthy, the other on 'corporate' taxes. Increasing taxes of any kind int this economy is well, stupid and ignorant. Plus less than two weeks after these two measures were passed the State annouced a budget shortfall of 2 billion dollars for 2011. I predicted that one. Massive democratic losses this fall would be one prediction I would love to make and have come true. We will see. Ron Wyden is a liberal troll on his best day. Jeff Merkley is another dork that
needs to get the boot in 2010.

Ron Wyden could be in for a tought fight; will be fighting for national democrat cash

Jeff Mapes has the story today about a new Rasmussen poll that shows Democrat Sen. Ron Wyden polling below 50% (49%). The poll also tested the name of potential Republican challenger Jim Huffman (a story that broke here on NWR) and he came it at a respectable 35%, considering that no one knows who he is at this point.
Still, an incumbent who polls less than 50% at this stage of the campaign is viewed as potentially vulnerable, and this week’s surprise announcement by Indiana Senator Evan Bayh that he will not seek reelection has sent shock waves through Democratic ranks. NWR ran a story just this week suggesting how vulnerable Wyden will be this year.
Of course the lefty moonbats do not like Scott Rassmussen polling and are already doing their best to attack the pollster. Because when the water is hot, you don't want to change the temperature of the water, but instead want to tell the messenger to lie. Pretty standard procedure for the moonbats. Attack the messenger and all.
That Rasmussen poll has more bad news for Oregon Democratics.
Barack Obama won 57% of the vote in Oregon in November 2008, but now voters in the state are more narrowly divided over his performance as president. Fifty percent (50%) approve of the job Obama is doing. That figures includes 30% who strongly approve. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove of the president’s job performance, including 37% who strongly disapprove.
It seems that the political wiz kids in the Obama administration have decided that they don't like the bad news that Rasmussen has been delivering regarding Obama's falling poll numbers and have embarked on a seek and destroy mission. Of course just ignore the fact that Rasmussen has been one of the most accurate pollsters over the last few cycles. And ignore the fact that when Rasmussen's polls say something, a week or two later all the other polls tend to come into line and back up his numbers. I mean the sky really is NOT blue and water is NOT really wet... If team Obama does not say it is so. Continue reading
