An endangered missing child alert was issued for Ethan Stacy on May 11, 2010 from Layton, Utah, after his mother said that he wandered away from home. Now, an investigation is underway to determine Ethan Stacy’s cause of death. In probable cause statements, authorities alleged that Ethan’s stepfather, Nathanael Sloop beat the boy for a period of days until he tragically passed away. Stephanie Sloop reported finding her son dead on Mother’s Day, May 9, 2010.

Ethan Stacy is survived by his father Joe Gary Stacy and his fiancĂ© Becky Leigh Elswick, a sister Alisa Destiny Stacy, and brother Destrian Jonathan David Stacy, Paternal Grandmother, Peggy Jo and husband David Akers and Paternal Grandfather Gary Steven and wife Freda Stacy. Ethan Stacy’s maternal grandparents are John and Katrina Busby of Apopka, Florida.
