The crisis between Turkey, Israel and the United States.

The Turkish PM has been a harsh critic of Israel and any Israeli defensive
action taken to protect the Jewish state. One can question if Israel should
even be counting Turkey as an ally and friend. Obama has not helped the
situation in any way. There is no doubt that Turkey is tilting towards the
Iranian sphere of influence and secularism, a long held tradition in Turkey,
is giving way to the growing spread of Islam and radical Islamism. Obama
tried to tell Europe to admit Turkey to the E.U.but the Union was not buying
buying Obama's dribble. Obama has further damaged Turkish secularism
by courting and apologizing to Islam and Muslims since he took office. Might
I remind you of Obama's speech of capitualtion to the Islamic world 
from Cairo last June 4th? The Turks should be keeping quiet as the
Armenian massacre has left blood on the hands of the Turks that no
amount of time will ever wash away.

Erdogan: Losing a friend like Turkey would hurt Israel

Addressing the Israeli Foreign Ministry's accusations that he had sparked the row by leveling harsh criticism at the IDF over its conduct during the war against Hamas in Gaza, Erdogan told Euronews, "I am telling the truth…And I will keep telling the truth. Turkey has an age-old history as a state. When you talk to such a state you must be careful.


"When innocent civilians are ruthlessly killed, struck by phosphorus bombs, infrastructure is demolished in bombing and people are forced to live in an open-air prison… we can not see this as compatible with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, simply human rights, and we can not close our eyes to all this happening," he said.
