A test for islamophobes

I have absolutely no doubts that I am an islamophobe. None whatsoever. I am a counter jihadist and will be until I am called home. If you have any doubts about where you might be in regard to islam, please be sure to read the next article. It should cure whatever warm and fuzzy feelings you might have about islam and many muslims. If you still you still have those warm and fuzzy feelings about islam after reading this perhaps you will be more at home at a site like the Daily Kos or Huffy Po report. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. This is from Political Islam by Bill Warner.

Take the Acid Test for Islamophobia
By Bill Warner
July 28, 2010

A favorite comeback for someone who is critical of Islam is—you are Islamophobic. Never mind that the term phobic means an irrational fear. Really, the charge is that you are irrational AND a bigot. A bigot is immoral and a hater and has no possible reason for their views.

There is a cure for bigotry. If you are a bigot, learning about the subject of bigotry can cure it. Clint Eastwood’s character in Grand Torino started out as a bigot about the Hmong Vietnamese who moved in next door. As he got to know them, he changed and gave the ultimate sacrifice of his life to help them. The cure for his bigotry was getting to know more about his neighbors, the Hmong.

Notice this does not say that as you get to know them, you will always like them better. There are people and groups that the more you know them, the less you like them. As you see what they do and how they think, you may actually start to fear them. Not being a bigot doesn’t mean that you love everybody and what they do. In the sixties, the Black Panthers had a revolutionary, “stick it to the man”, image that was cool. However, the more you got to know them and see what they did, you learned that the Panthers were serious racist thugs and dangerous to society. So just because someone is “oppressed” does not mean that they are decent people.

Want to see if you are an Islamophobe? Let’s presume that you don’t like Islamic doctrine, Sharia law as an example, and would like to take the test to see if you are a bigot. Remember, if you are a bigot, then the more you get to know Islam, the better you will feel.

Here are some concepts from Islamic doctrine, so that you can understand it better. Islam says that non-Muslims are Kafirs. Allah hates Kafirs and He even plots against them. Kafirs can be tortured, deceived, enslaved, crucified, raped and robbed. How important are Kafirs to Islam? Islam has three sacred texts: Koran, Sira (life of Mohammed) and Hadith (his traditions). Look at how much of Islam is devoted to the Kafir:

If the Kafir is “bad”, then there is a lot of “bad”. How does your cultural sensitivity feel now? Feel any closer to Islam, any less afraid?

Maybe, you need a little more exposure to become warmer towards Islam. Jihad should cure your ills. Isn’t the jihad thing overblown? There are only a few verses about that, aren’t there? Look at the statistics:

Now that you are learning more about Islam, are your fears subsiding?

Still afraid? Every Muslim will tell you that Islam was the first ideology to give women their rights. If we take everything that is written about women in the Koran and rank it according to whether the woman is held in high status, equal status and lower status, we find:

How does the women’s issue strike you? Are you feeling more simpatico? Less Islamophobic?

So, you took the Islamophobia test. Now that you know Islam better, do you now understand and realize that your Islamophobia was bigoted hatred?

Surely, this test is biased. There must be some goodness in Islam for Kafirs. If you go through the Koran and pick out every single verse that offers good words, doesn’t that prove that Islam is good?

If every single verse that seems to promise good to Kafirs is counted up, then 2.6% of the verses offer good to Kafirs. But, wait! There is that contradiction and abrogation contradiction principle. The Koran is filled with verses that contradict each other and in every case of good verses, the 2.6%, are cancelled or abrogated, by later verses. The net result is 0%, nothing, is unmitigated good in the Koran for the Kafir.

You have finished the Islamophobe Test. Feel closer to Islam? Or more afraid? If you feel closer and warmer about Islam, then you were Islamophobic, but now you are cured. If not, then your fears are real, not a phobia. Islam is like the Black Panthers—the more you know, the less you like and the more you are afraid.

Are we that close to becoming a totalitarian state?

One can think that if Republicans/Conservatives take back both houses or at least erase the demosocialistacrat majorities that now exist, all will be on track to re-righting the ship the Founding Fathers so wisely built. That is wishful thinking unless Conservatives can be very careful about how they go about dismantling and trying to undo the damages wrought upon our country by the mullah obamaham and his wrecking crew of liberal idiots. After NOvember 2010, the election for a new POTUS will be before us. Don't look for things of the past like Acorn to be removed from the scene. I look for the left to page from islam and indulge in the left's version of Taqiyya. This is from Totus by Ron Russell.

The 2010 Election and Totalitarianism
By Ron Russell

EVERY STEP OBAMA TAKES IS ANOTHER STEP TOWARD BIG GOVERNMENT AND A CONSOLIDATION OF POWER NOT JUST IN WASHINGTON, BUT SPECIFICALLY IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH AND THE DEMOCRATIC FOOLS IN CONGRESS ARE JUST GIVING HIM MORE AND MORE POWER WITH EACH LAW THAT ENACT. THEY MUST THINK THAT A REPUBLICAN WILL NEVER AGAIN SIT IN THE OVAL OFFICE AND EXERCISE THE POWER THEY ARE PLACING THERE. AN ALREADY TOO POWERFUL EXECUTIVE IN QUICKLY TIPPING THE SCALES OF CHECKS AND BALANCES THE FOUNDERS ESTABLISHED. LEFT UNCHECKED, AT THE PRESENT RATE, THE REPUBLIC AS WE KNOW IT WILL CEASE TO EXIST SHOULD OBAMA BE ABLE TO FOOL ENOUGH VOTERS AND GAIN A SECOND TERM. REPUBLICANS MAY GAIN SOME CONTROL IN THIS FALLS ELECTIONS, BUT THAT ALONE WILL NOT STOP OBAMA IN 2012, FOR THE MAN IS A MASTER SNAKE-OIL SALESMAN AND MANY ARE STILL WANTING HIS MAGIC ELIXIR! ONE CAN EXPECT THE ELECTION OF 2012 TO BE A LANDMARK EVENT, MUCH AS THE ELECTION OF LINCOLN IN 1860, WITH OBAMA AND HIS MINIONS PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS---RAMPANT VOTER FRAUD ON A GRAND SCALE, CRIES OF RACISM AND A MASS BLOCK OF BLACK AND OTHER MINORITY VOTERS, AND FINALLY A HUGE PUSH FROM THE YOUNG MORE IMPRESSIONABLE VOTERS OF THIS NATION. SHOULD THEY SUCCEED THE AMERICA OF OUR FATHERS WILL NO LONGER EXIST. THE BIG GOVERNMENT OF TODAY WILL GIVE WAY TO TOTALITARIANISM!

Eight year old boy forced to change school due to muslims: In Norwayistan

This happened in Oslo, Norway.

Part two:

Reverse the tables and think of the way muslims would scream and rage about
this had it happened to a muslim student. I call this racism and persecution!

The Boy Scouts: Now I have a problem with the BSA.

I have supported the Boy Scouts for many, many years. Now, after reading this article I will probably pull my support and occasional donations to the BSA. The Boy Scouts have been under attack the last few years and the problem of abuse of the scouts is one that must be rooted out. The BSA have taken steps to keep this from happening again and I applaud those efforts. Now it seems the pressure is building to let girls in. Apparently girls of thirteen can be part of the Boy Scouts and now pressure is mounting to let girls under thiteen join the the Boy Scouts’ Venturing program. Sorry ladies, let the BSA remain only for boys, period. If girls want to join a simialr group let them join the Girsl Scouts and let the Girl Scout's bring in new programs so girls are not relegated to this;"I just don’t want to sit around and make quilts and sell cookies." I agree 100%. Girls should be able to do most of these same things that the Boy Scouts are doing but NOT at the cost of what has made the BSA a unique and all guy organization.

This is a perfect example of what I call the three toxics stews of Western Society. Diversity, multiculturalism and political correctness. Letting girls into the BSA will not help keep the boys in line. Just my opinion. Now before anyone jumps all over what I have said understand, I support equal opportunity for girls and women in employment, compensation and opportunities. I have never been in favor of extreme feminist views and will never be. Why wreck the BSA when the Girl Scouts should be stepping up to the plate in offering the same opportuities as the Boy scouts get? If you disagree that is what the comment section is for.

Now here is another reason I will no longer support the BSA. Read the following; "An inflatable mosque provides a place for Muslim scouts to worship." I have a big problem with this. Muslims by and large have not assimilated into the culture and society of the United States very well. Islamists and islamic apologists will tell you otherwise. They will spin the truth and use 'taqiyya', lies and deceit to implant islam and sharia law inside the United States. Muslim Boy Scouts? I would find a way to keep them out unless they have proven to honor God, country and the United States Constitution. The world is rife with examples of what happens when muslims are allowed to enter a country and grow their numbers. In England there is a muslim scouting organization and they do not let in any infidels like me or you, or our children. The three toxic stews strike again and it is a shame that our country has come to this. Call me an islamophobe, whatever! It will not be the first time or the last time I have been called that or just about any other name. Article came from our local paper.

There is no peace within islam, and with islam there can never be peace.

At Boy Scouts, a call to find the way back to relevance
By Katharine Q. Seelye

FORT A.P. HILL, Va. — Her crown glinting in the morning sun, Miss America was telling 45,000 Boy Scouts and their leaders the other day how thrilled she was to be here at the National Scout Jamboree, to be among “the most amazing young women ...”

Whoops! The scouts, ever courteous and kind, could nonetheless barely stifle a collective groan. Some covered their faces in embarrassment. Miss America — Caressa Cameron, the former Miss Virginia — quickly recovered, apologized and explained that she usually speaks to groups of young women.

The slip was an inadvertent reminder of a host of issues, including whether to admit girls, that the Boy Scouts of America faces this year as it celebrates its 100th anniversary.

The organization, long an icon of wholesomeness in a simpler America, has seen its membership plunge by 42 percent since its peak year of 1973, when there were 4.8 million scouts. In the past decade alone, membership has dropped by more than 16 percent, to 2.8 million.

The declines reflect the difficulties of keeping up with changing times and demographics, as well as battling a perception that the organization is exclusionary because it bars gay people and atheists, not to mention girls under 13.

An even bigger challenge emerged this year as a jury ordered the Scouts to pay $18.5 million in damages to a man who had been abused by a scout leader as a boy. The trial focused renewed attention on the secret files that the Scouts’ national office in Texas has kept for more than 70 years of claims of sexual abuse by troop leaders and volunteers.

Now, as the organization tries to rebuild its image and its membership, it has been forced to make a priority of addressing that problem, with a plan that it calls “youth protection.”

Under Robert Mazzuca, who took the helm of the Scouts three years ago as chief executive, the group has taken several steps to try to reassure parents that their children are safe. These include hiring a full-time youth protection director, Michael Johnson, a former police detective who is an expert on child abuse investigation and prevention.

The jamboree here is a testament to the many ways in which the Scouts have adapted. Spread across hundreds of acres of this dusty military base, the scout encampment still offers boys the chance to partake in the activities that their fathers and grandfathers enjoyed — fly-fishing, reading a compass, rustling up a meal.

But this is not your father’s jamboree. Among the sprawling areas here is a technology center with robotics and a tent where boys can have their mouths swiped to take a sample of their DNA. Some boys sport lime-green hair to match the T-shirts of their non-dress uniforms, and most wear loose-fitting knee-length shorts, some surfer-dude cool with bright swirls.

Scouts also wear “smart bracelets” that allow them to go cashless as they buy soda and memorabilia. An inflatable mosque provides a place for Muslim scouts to worship. There are stations where scouts can recharge their cell phones as well as those offering free calls and time online. Despite these innovations, there has been less advancement on other fronts. The tens of thousands of scouts here were largely a homogenous group of white boys. A Scout study from a few years ago on “tapping into diverse markets” said that parents of blacks, Hispanics and Asians had “no emotional connection to scouting.”

But the demographic group that seems to have drawn the most attention is young girls. When they turn 13 and have completed eighth grade, they can join the Boy Scouts’ Venturing program, where many of the leaders are women. But many are pushing for access for preteen girls.

Katrell Cooper, a 16-year-old venturer from Utah, who works at the BMX center here, turned up her nose at the Girl Scouts.

“I don’t want to sit around and make quilts and sell cookies,” she said after she expertly glided down a mountain-boarding course on which a few boys had tumbled. “I want to do stuff.”

The debate rages on scout websites over the perceived advantages and disadvantages of allowing younger girls. Would they be too much of a distraction? Or would their presence better prepare boys for the real world?

Several 15-year-old boys here said they would welcome girls into the Boy Scouts.

“It would be more cool with them,” said Shane West from Jupiter, Fla.

Why? “They’re girls.”

Rocky Spiker, from Utah, said girls would “keep us in line.” Ben Rosenbaum, also from Utah, said, “Women deserve the same stuff as men do.”

UC's Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk

This week, I put up a posting on the letter from the Zionist Organization of America to University of California President Mark Yudof addressing their concerns about two individuals who have been appointed to the UC Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion. Not knowing either of the two persons, I decided to find out all the names on the council. The below-linked UC document lists the members.

http://www.ucmerced.edu/news_articles/06162010_uc_names_advisory_council.asp

I note there are a couple of students on the council. I know nothing about them nor do I much care. With only a couple of possible exceptions, you can sum up the rest of the council as being the usual collection of liberal activists. Everything is pretty much covered.

As to this gentleman, Herscher, who I guess is supposed to represent the Jewish interests, I have no indication that he has ever spoken out about anti-Semitic issues in the UC system. I do note, however that Pam Geller and Robert Spencer are supposed to speak at Herscher's Skirball Center in Los Angeles in August. (Maybe I shouldn't have said that. I might get him thown off the council.)

As for Jorge Mariscal, a professor at UC San Diego, who ZOA considers a poor choice, he is quite outspoken on the issues of brown and black students at UCSD, where the number of such students is very low. Mariscal is apparently quite anti-Israel as well, which the ZOA letter notes.

Here are a couple of articles Mariscal has written for Counterpunch, a leftist online publication:

Trouble in Paradise

http://www.counterpunch.org/mariscal03122010.html

This essay about the recent mess (es) at UCSD, of which I have written at great length, raises interesting points:

"The events at UC San Diego open a window on to the future of California and perhaps the nation. As public higher education increasingly becomes the domain of the wealthy and working class youth are forced to go into debt for a college degree, fewer Black and Brown youth will be able to attend the most prestigious universities. In California, the resegregation of public education is well underway. With only small and isolated Black and Brown communities on campus, students of color will be subjected to the casual racism that permeates the general culture. The far right’s attacks on the President of the United States, the widespread assault on American Muslims, and every racist shtick in between will resonate across public spaces originally designed to educate an enlightened citizenry."

Here we go again. Yes, there are lots of criticisms of Obama. He is the President of the USA. It comes with the job in case you have not noticed. It's not his race; it is his policies.

Mariscal bemoans the scarcity of black and Latino students at UCSD. Yet, it appears that the problem is not that the university is not accepting them, but that most choose to go to other colleges. If that has developed over the recent incidents (Compton Cookout, noose in the library and the Koala rants)then he has a point. Many Jewish students are choosing not to attend UC Irvine because of what many perceive as an anti-Semitic atmosphere on campus when Israel Apartheid Week rolls around every year.

I don't take issue with Mariscal's quoting of the Koala (unofficial student newspaper) guy getting on the campus closed circuit TV and ranting about "ungrateful n----s". If that happened, I don't need some Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion to know what to do. The student is gone and Koala is gone. Period.

"More important, the students understood that this was about the death throes of public education and every other devastating effect that thirty years of Reaganomics had visited upon working families in what was once called the Golden State."

Yeah, right. It was Reaganomics that caused this economic mess in California. Actually, it has been the out-of-control, profligate spending on every social program imaginable that has brought California to the brink of bankruptcy. And where were the university communities on this spending? They supported it. They cheered it. They demanded it. They elected the politicians who have spent us into this mess. Now the money is gone and the universities are feeling the pinch. But it's all Reaganomics. Gimme a break.

How Military Recruiters Pitch to Latinos
http://www.counterpunch.org/mariscal10132006.html

"How to Spot a Police Spy????"

Well, Mariscal didn't write that. The editors did.

But for cryin' out loud! What's wrong with the military trying to recruit Latinos? I got news for you. If Skippy Peanut Butter can develop an ad that they think will appeal to Latinos, they're sure gonna do it. It's called Madison Avenue.

And what's with all this right brain-left brain stuff? I've been married to a Mexican woman for 35 years, and I have never even thought about whether she is right-brain-dominant or left-brain dominant.

(Now you got me wondering.)

"According to this racializing model, "right-brain" irrational Hispanics, unsuited for "America's system of education," will vote their way into Karl Rove's projected Republican majority, and for decades to come fill the ranks of the lowest echelons of the service sector, the prison system, and the combat units of America's imperial army. Were he alive today Che Guevara, whom a CIA operative once described as "fairly intellectual for a Latin," would undoubtedly be asking progressive Latinos what they plan to do about it."

Karl Rove??!!? Talk about putting irrelevant supporting sentences in your paragraphs! Amazing how Karl Rove gets blamed for everything by the left.

And finally. I posted an article a couple of years ago about Che Guevara explaining to all those young students that wear Che T-shirts that their hero was nothing more than an executioner who ran kangaroo courts when Castro took power where hundreds were taken out and shot after 5 minute trials. That was Che Guevara. I guess I have to explain it to university professors as well.

ZOA Letter to UC President Yudof re- Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk

"Yeah, we got it covered, boys. The Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion."

"That's right."

Cross-posted from the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) is a letter from the ZOA to University of California President Mark Yudof protesting the appointment of two individuals to the UC Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion, a fancy name for a group set up to deal with issues of racism or ethnic conflict on UC campuses. First the letter-then my comment.

http://www.zoa.org/media/user/images/letter-to-Yudof-7-26-10.pdf

First of all, I don't know who these two individuals are named by the ZOA. If the ZOA letter is accurate, I have no idea what they are doing on such a council.

The heart of the matter, however is this; if the University of California system has a problem in this area that it feels it must address, the most serious of the issues on UC campuses is the growing anti-Semitism that is fueled by the Middle East conflict and is being stoked by the enemies of Israel. In my view, other incidents of hate directed toward other groups don't even come close to the anti-Semitic expressions which have occurred on UC campuses. With all due respect to the disturbing (anti-black) incidents at UC San Diego, those incidents are still swathed in mystery. There is nothing mysterious about what is going on in the UC system when it comes to anti-Semitism.

So now, UC sets up this politically-correct council that lumps everything into one big pot and puts two individuals on the council who are (according to ZOA)part of the anti-Israel drive that is leading to anti-Semitism-whether they intend that as a by-product or not. I don't get it. No, on second thought, I do get it. This is another typical politically-correct university Potemkin Village to make it look like something is being done. It ignores the most serious problem in the UC system-anti-Semitism.

To be sure, UC President Yudof is a practicing Jew, who, by most accounts, cares about the subject of anti-Semitism. Yet, he continually stonewalls against those who dare to speak out and complain about the anti-Semitic atmosphere on UC campuses. The only conclusion I can draw is that Yudof is a prisoner to political correctness.

Whatever happened to S.I. Hayakawa?

"Who needs campaign funds?"

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), the reigning Fousesquawk 2009 Jerk of the Year, is pushing hard to keep his Golden Penguin in 2010. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Grayson is using his congressional franking privileges to produce a DVD "highlighting" his first term and send copies to 100,000 households in his district at a cost (to the tax-payers) of some $73,000.

"Ah wunnerful, ah wunnerful, ah!"

Here is Grayson's "blockbuster" DVD entitled; "Getting things done for you.":

I sure hope those 100,000 households in Grayson's district enjoy that DVD. They and the rest of us are paying for it.

Limited posts due to job applications and deadlines

Just a note to let those who visit here that I am trying to complete 7 applications for better employment. As I can only work part time due to being disabled(not mentally though my family would challenge that)it is very tough to find anyone who will hire me. My job now is all right, just really meager pay but it is a job and I like it and am appreciated. But as new opening do show up, I must go for some of them. I should be back on Friday or close to it. Thanks for understanding. The picture is pretty much how I feel right now.

Discussing Islam - A losing battle? Gadi Adelman

This is Gadi Adelman's latest article and it is quite on target. It is getting quite late and I am about ready to pass out from pain and feeling burned out, for tonight, this morning whatever time it is! Just going to post the article and close with this; Gadi is one of the best minds we have when ot comes to fighting islam, terrorism and sharia law. Here is my comment that I sent in to Gadi:

"There you have the FACTS. I don’t care if you are a Liberal or a Conservative, average or intellectual, if you have not bothered to read any of the Quran then you do not know Islam. Don’t assume that because it is a “religion” let alone “the religion of peace” that this is something that won’t affect you."

Enough said and how much more evidence do some people need. Some people will never get it because they have been brainwashed from years of indoctrination through diversity, multiculturalism and political correctness. The three toxic stews of the west. islam is an ideology that controls one\'s life from the cradle to the grave. Individual thought is a cause for concern within this \'religion\'. One only has to read the qur\'an and study he hadiths to understand the evils built into islam. 1400 years of violence, persecution and death are more than enough to snap one out of a stupor. At least I would think so. islam will settle for NOTHING LESS than global domination under an islamic caliphate, controlled by the strangle hold of sharia law. We are at war and our \'leaders\' fail to understand this time and again, duped by the three toxic stews mentioned above. A few do get it but not enough. It is past time to return islam to the swamp from which it spawned and do it for good. It is the least we can do for our children.

Discussing Islam - A losing battle?
By Gadi Adelman

Islam, Sharia, jihad and terror. Daily, more things appear in the news about the truth of Islam from a multitude of venues. Why do people refuse to hear this truth?

“Perhaps these things that seem important to me are unimportant, but they are all a part of the great human tragedy that stands before us. And if I could do something, which I can’t, to make the world better, I would try to have it more tolerant, more kindly, more understanding; could I do that and nothing else, I would be glad.”

These were the words of Clarence Darrow during his closing argument in the case of People v. Henry Sweet on May 11, 1926 and as the saying goes, “the more things change, the more they stay the same”. The point that Darrow was making was just because some things seemed unimportant, it didn’t mean they were and if one would listen, not just hear, but listen, they too may come to realize the truth.

When I set out to learn about terrorism at a very early age I had no intention of learning anything about, let alone becoming what many have called an “expert” on Islam. I didn’t care about Islam, I didn’t really care about any religion other than my own, I wanted to learn about terrorism and that is what I did.

I started with the history of terrorism, what better way to study a subject than to start at the beginning? I started with the Zealots and the Sicarii in biblical times and learned about terrorism from its original roots all the way up through the 21st Century. Throughout my studies there was one defining factor that kept showing up and the more I learned the more it reared its ugly head, Islam.

I’ve been called an Islamophobe, a racist, a hater of Muslims - you name it, I’ve heard it. Funny thing though, other than Muslims, every person who has ever called me something along these lines knew nothing about Islam.

Most people have never read the Bible, so to ask them to read the Quran is like pulling teeth. Most people only expose themselves to information that matches their own opinions because it is easier and more comfortable; that’s just human nature. Most people think of Islam as a religion rather than a theocracy and therefore assume, “it’s a religion like Christianity or Judaism and cannot possibly call for death to other religions or war or violence because Christianity and Judaism doesn’t.”

Most people just don’t want to hear or know the truth if it goes against their own morals. It’s easier to say “you’re wrong, Muslims are no longer like that, that was in the 600’s, they are modernized now, and stonings no longer happen, they don’t want to dominate the world with Sharia, you’re nuts”. Yes, they would rather believe that, then to hear, learn or face the truth.

To paraphrase Walid Shoebat, the PLO terrorist who converted to Christianity and wrote the book “Why I left Jihad”; In order to understand Islam you must stop looking through Western eyes.

Most people are unaware that unlike the Old and New Testaments (numerous books written over hundreds of years by several people) that the Quran was one book, based upon the revelations and preachings of one illiterate man, compiled shortly after his death from oral and written records. The Quran is meant to be taken literally and again, unlike the Bible, it has few vague or symbolic analogies.

Many people are unaware that when the Quran contradicts itself, the passage written later supersedes the one written earlier. All the parts of the Quran that speak of peace and tolerance were written early on and according to the Islamic tradition, all those passages have been abrogated later by much more violent and less tolerant passages.

Surah 2:106 “And for whatever verse We abrogate or cast into oblivion, We bring a better or the like of it; knowest thou not that God is powerful over everything?”

Surah 16:101 “When We change one verse for another (God knows best what He reveals), they say: 'You are an imposter.' Indeed most of them have no knowledge.”

To make the issue confusing, the Quran is not arranged in chronological order. The first nine Surahs are at the start because they are the largest. Surah 2 is earlier than Surah 1 and earlier than Surahs 3 to 9.

A much-quoted early verse which is “peacecful”:

Surah 2: 256 There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

Is abrogated later by several violent and intolerant verses such as this:

Surah 9: 5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

So, when most people hear Jihadists quoting violent passages from the Quran and then other Muslims quoting peaceful passages, they interpret it same way they would if someone was quoting the Bible or the Torah and they think to themselves “there are contradicting passages just like in other religions and Muslims can choose which one they want and justify whatever actions they want to take.”. The problem is that the Quran is nothing like that and makes it explicitly clear that you must never alter any part of its message or you will burn in a fiery torment forever.

The fact that Islam is more of a religious ideology than a religion is clear. Islam includes a mandatory and specific legal and political plan for the whole society known as Sharia. There is no separation between the political and the religious in Islam.

Fact: The Quran says that Sharia is the law of Allah and any other form of government is a sin.

Fact: The Quran says that man-made laws and governments (Democracy) and free speech (such as criticizing the Quran) are abominations and must be eliminated.

Fact: Striving to institute worldwide Sharia law until all governments have been converted is an Islamic religious obligation for all Muslims.

As I explained in my article “Call PETA, no one else is doing anything” some Sharia law facts are:

• Sharia law commands that drinkers and gamblers are to be whipped.
• Sharia law allows husbands to hit their wives.
• Sharia law allows a plaintiff to exact legal revenge, literally an eye for an eye.
• Sharia law commands that a thief must have a hand cut off.
• Sharia law commands that homosexuals be executed.
• Sharia law orders unmarried fornicators to be whipped and adulterers to be stoned to death.
• Sharia law allows obligatory female genital castration.
• Sharia law requires women to obtain permission from husbands for daily freedoms, such as leaving the house unescorted by a male family member.
• Sharia law instructs compulsory acceptance of polygamy and forced child marriages.
• Sharia law requires the testimony of four male witnesses to prove rape.
• Sharia law orders death for both Muslim and non-Muslim critics of the Quran, Mohammed and even Sharia itself.
• Sharia law orders apostates to be killed.
• Sharia law commands offensive, aggressive and unjust Jihad.
• The Quran instructs Muslims to lie to further and protect Islam. (Taqiyya).

There you have the FACTS. I don’t care if you are a Liberal or a Conservative, average or intellectual, if you have not bothered to read any of the Quran then you do not know Islam. Don’t assume that because it is a “religion” let alone “the religion of peace” that this is something that won’t affect you.

I have often ended many of my articles and speeches by saying “Tell someone. Educate someone. Whether it is your spouse, a friend or a co-worker, stand up and speak up for what you know is right.” This time I ask you to educate yourself, if you don’t have the desire to buy and read the Quran, go online and look up some of what I have stated here. If after your own research you decide that Islam is a “religion of peace” and most Muslims are “moderate”, then as Clarence Darrow said “it is unimportant, but they are all a part of the great human tragedy that stands before us”.

A story of lost 'stimulus jobs' to 'foreigners' in 2010. It started long ago in Oregon

Oregon Clear Cuts: Aerial View
Before you get to the main article on jobs being given to 'foreigners', jobs that Americans will not do or work as hard at, let me tell you about the HoeDads. The HoeDads started in 1971 and I used to know quite a few of them.

They were an independent bunch who embraced environmentalism, feminism, and deeply believed in reforestation, conservation and loathed the logging practice known as 'clear cutting' which was very poplular throughout the Pacific Northwest. I worked in the woods for over 12 years, as a faller, setting chokers, knot bumper, driving a water or fuel truck, and fought wild fires. It was through clear cutting a 60 acre unit that I met 'Goatman and Goat woman.' So called because they had a herd of 40 or so Nubian goats they contracted out to clear land of undesirable vegetation like Poison Oak, Vine Maple, Blackberry etc. GM and GW had several kids(not little goats)Moonbeam, Sunrise, Moonshadow and Eclipse. I 'kid' you not. Their goats were grazing in meadow where we had a permit to clear cut. Being members of the Hoedads they were
not happy. A peaceful argument ensued and my entire crew was invited to their camp. GM and GW lived out of a conveted 1954 International school bus and the rest of this HoeDad crew in similar rigs, some in tepees, tents, you name it. There was around 50 HoeDads in this group, the size varying as they left for various work throughout Oregon and Washington. Here is a Hoedad, what was used to plant trees by hand.

This was in the late 1970's, early 1980's. Most of the Hoedads at that time were tree planters and they used a 'hoedad(see picture) to plant the trees after units had been logged, often times clear cut. I planted trees when I was not loggging or fighting fires and it is hard, back busting work. You are in all kinds of weather, very steep terrain, carrying a large pack of seedling trees and equipment with you. Planitng 4 to 8 trees a minute was not unusual. I got along really well with the Hoedads, especially GM, GW and their children. They often invaded our home to use as a camp when they came to town for supplies or a much needed shower. Yes, they smelled like goats, think about it. I admired their work ethics, convictions and love for the land and all critters that lived in the woods. They came to respect me and the guys I worked with as they realized we loved the same things, wanted to protect the same things, we just went about it in different ways. Trees like the one shown in the above picture were a rarity by the mid 1980's. I did help fall numerous trees this size before logging, clear cutting in the old growth stands of timber was mostly stopped by the late 1980's, early 1990's.

Sadly, The HoeDads were victims of their own fortune, environmentalism and the glut of illegal aliens taking their jobs for sometimes a third of what the Hoedads were paid. I lost track of Goat man and Goat Woman in 1987. The HoeDads as a cooperative died in 1994.

Now what does this have to do with 2010 and a bunch of jobs lost to 'foreigners.' Read on to the article below. What really got me hopping mad was the comments about Americans not working as hard or wanting these jobs as badly as these 'foreigners.' These jobs pay $12.00 to $22.00 an hour. I have plenty of friends who ahve been unable to find work. I asked them about this and they were furious. Each and every one of them are as hard working, dependable and trustworthy as you can find. They would gladly take these jobs in a heart beat. I will put my friends up against anyone as far as effort, speed and quality of work. I have known many legal and illegal workers who busted their butts hard all day and night, ran circles around the Americans, the locals who we were working with at the time. It can go both ways. In this economy, all jobs should go to LEGAL Americans first. Then they need to prove themselves on the job. if they cannot handle it, I know plenty more who can, and are willing and able to do these jobs. It is OUR tax dollars being used to fund these jobs. They should go to legal Americans first. A shame that this sytem is so screwed up.

Stimulus jobs go to foreign workers
Oregon contractors hiring for forest work, say qualified locals unavailable
By Keith Chu / The Bulletin

July 25. 2010 WASHINGTON — Even as unemployment rates remain high across Central and Eastern Oregon, the state’s forest contractors are importing foreign workers — and using them on federal stimulus contracts that were designed to boost local economies.

The 2009 stimulus law — the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — allows federal agencies to award contracts to companies that use foreign labor on the jobs, even though the measure was largely intended to provide a short-term boost in U.S. employment. Just under $13 million in U.S. Forest Service contracts have been awarded to date to Oregon companies using seasonal foreign workers, according to an analysis by The Bulletin of federal visa and contract records. For their part, the companies importing workers say the foreigners work harder and faster than local applicants and are willing to do jobs the locals don’t want.

That’s cause for anger among many of those firms’ Central and Eastern Oregon competitors.

They argue that they’re being undercut by firms that use foreign labor and say the federal government isn’t doing enough to make sure their competitors are following all the rules.

Darst Atherly, owner of Atherly Contracting in Bend and Burns, said he was outbid by 50 percent on a recent federal contract by a firm using foreign labor.

“I can’t compete with that,” Atherly said.

American companies are allowed to recruit seasonal foreign workers for certain industries, such as seafood sorting and forest work, under the H-2B visa program. According to the Labor Department’s website, a company can recruit workers if it proves there aren’t unemployed U.S. citizens available to do the jobs and that bringing in workers won’t depress wages or worsen working conditions for U.S. workers. The program is separate from the H-2A temporary visas for farmworkers.

There’s nothing new about companies importing foreign workers for low-paying, labor-intensive jobs like forest and farm work. What makes this situation unique is that the federal stimulus bill requires contractors to pay higher wages — ranging from about $12 to $22 per hour for most forest work, what’s known as a “prevailing wage” under the Service Contract and Davis-Bacon acts. Those laws set higher minimum wages for workers on certain federal contracts.

Approval process
Even at those rates, however, at least eight Oregon forestry contractors this year asked to bring in foreign workers because they were unable to find U.S. labor.

U.S. Labor Department and Oregon Employment Department officials said corporations currently “self-attest,” or sign a form without providing other documentation, saying that they’ve been unable to find local workers willing or qualified for jobs. Several years ago, states had some oversight of H-2B workers, but today the U.S. Labor Department has sole responsibility, said Oregon Employment Department Legislative Manager Rebecca Nance.

“An H-2B employer doesn’t have to contact us like an (employer importing farmworkers) has to,” Nance said. “They can place their own job listing and self-attest to the outcome.”

Labor Department spokesman Michael Trupo wrote in an e-mail that the department audits some applications to ensure they’re meeting federal requirements. When The Bulletin asked to review the visa applications made by five companies that requested guest workers, Trupo wrote in an e-mail that the applications are available only by making a Freedom of Information Act request. The U.S. Forest Service was unable to determine whether complaints had been made against the four Oregon contractors with the most guest workers in a week’s time. Forest Service spokeswoman Valerie Baca did say that contractors must be in good standing when contracts are issued.

According to Labor Department records, the biggest importers of foreign labor were Central Point contractor G.E. Forestry, which received approval for 123 seasonal workers this year; Medford’s Cutting Edge Forestry, with 72; Ashland’s Summitt Forests Inc., with 66; and Ponderosa Reforestation, of Medford, with 39. Combined, the companies have received just more than $10 million in federal stimulus contracts for thinning and removing debris from Oregon forests.

G.E. Forestry office manager Victor Gomez said his company brings in visa workers because they do the job better than locals. A willingness to work quickly, especially, is what sets them apart, Gomez said. Although Gomez said he advertises jobs in local newspapers, few locals want the jobs after he explains the work required. The ones who do usually quit once they realize the amount of effort that G.E. demands, Gomez said.

“(Local workers) do it, but they can’t do it at the same pace; they can’t put out the same work as the other employees,” Gomez said. “They’re pushed to keep up with the other employees, and that’s when they don’t want to do it.”

Because foreign workers are here just to work, Gomez said, they’re often more motivated than U.S. employees.

“I think they’re more motivated for that money,” he said. “They don’t have unemployment to go on. If they don’t work, they go back to Mexico.”

High unemployment
Companies are requesting foreign workers at a time when the state has an unemployment rate above 10 percent; Crook County leads the state, at a seasonally adjusted 16 percent unemployment, and Deschutes is close behind at 14 percent, according to Oregon Employment Department statistics. The forest and construction industry in particular has a glut of unemployed workers, following the implosion of the region’s construction industry. Deschutes County lost 58 percent of its logging, mining and construction jobs between 2007 and this spring, according to the Employment Department.

Mike Wheelock, owner of Grayback Forestry in Merlin, said he used foreign workers in the middle part of the last decade, when the labor market was tight. But now he’s had no trouble finding willing workers.

“Right now, if I put an ad in, I could get anywhere from 200 to 400 applications from local workers,” Wheelock said.

Darst Atherly said he has so many inquiries from job seekers that he doesn’t need to advertise when a spot opens at his firm.

“I get three to five calls a week from people seeking employment, despite having no ads and despite telling people I’m not hiring,” Atherly said.

Overseeing H-2B visas
That has driven Atherly, Wheelock and other forest contractors to complain that their competitors might be skirting labor requirements that companies must advertise for jobs and accept American applicants before seeking foreign workers.

American University law professor Jayesh Rathod, who co-authored a recent report on abuses in the Maryland crab industry’s H-2B visa program, said critics have long questioned how closely the Department of Labor oversees the program.

“I think this is a general area of concern — how closely is the DOL looking at those attestations? Are they checking to see how thorough the recruitment process was, or are they accepting the claim on its face?” Rathod said.

Gomez dismissed complaints by other contractors as sour grapes. He said his company has to follow state and federal labor laws, just as other contractors must.

“I personally think it is just jealousy,” Gomez said.

It is NOT jealousy from these other contractors. I know for a fact that the laws and rules of the program from the DOL are often times skirted so the contractors can hire foreigners. With local unemployment rates as high as 16-18% in some counties in Oregon, give the jobs to those Americans who really want them. Not to the foreigners here on visas or illegaly. PatriotUSA

Why socialism has failed. From RJ Moeller, Voice In The Wilderness

I have followed RJ Moeller's A Voice In The Wilderness for some time now. I think RJ has a unique insight and brings a fresh perspective into the field of politics, religion, economic and discussions about society. No, RJ is far from perfect and I do not always agree with him 100%. He is a Christian Conservative and he evn admits that the people he admires were not without their faults. In this next post RJ Moeller is writing about socialism and why it has failed, and will continue to fail. We have failed states of socialism all around us, especially in Europe. There is plenty of evidence. Is our system better than socialism? I think so but that was BEFORE massive government meddling and the burdens of excessive and stifling legislation. Socialism at it's roots was anti-religion and against God. There is no refuting that. If you have not read any of his previous articles please check them out here or go to his site. It may be best to start at the beginning and read Mere Conservatism Economics Parts 1 and 2. That way you will have a foundation and better understanding of where RJ Moeller is coming from. Hope you enjoy this.

Dostoevesky Was Right, And I Hate Socialism
By: R.J. Moeller

In the opening pages of his masterpiece The Brothers Karamazov Fyodor Dostoevsky gives a description of the key players the reader is to meet in his epic tale of generational sins and familial redemption. The third and virtuous Karamazov brother Alyosha is commended by the narrator not only for his devout and fervent faith in God, but the methodic patience and due diligence he exhibits in his pursuit of moral truth and wisdom. In contrast to the rudder-less passion that so many young people of that generation (1860's Russia) had for new and constantly-changing "causes," Alyosha is described as follows:

"The path he chose was a path going in the opposite direction of many his age, but he chose it with the same thirst for swift achievement. As soon as he reflected seriously on it, he was convinced and convicted of the existence of God and of the immortality of the soul, and at once he instinctively said to himself: 'I want to live for immortality with Him and I will accept no compromise.'

In the same way, if he had decided that God and immortality did not exist, he would at once have become an atheist and socialist. For socialism is not merely the labor question, but it is before all things the atheistic question, the question of the form taken by atheism today. It is the question of the tower of Babel built without God, not to mount to Heaven from earth but to set up Heaven on earth."

I couldn’t have said it better had I blogged it myself.

As much as I would love to write an entire column on the subtle genius of Dostoevsky’s analysis of the human condition in Brothers, let me focus like a laser-beam on the profound insight he made some 150 years ago regarding the “question” of socialism. Socialism, the economic and political theory that advocates for the state to control the means of production and oversee the distribution of resources, was relatively new back in Old Fyodor’s day and the assumption among intellectuals from Moscow to Mexico was that it would inevitably become the way all countries ran their government, society, and economy.

Now, with the winds of a century-and-a-half of unflattering evidence at our back, it ought to be much easier to identify the failings and false assumptions of countries that adopted Leftist (i.e. collectivist, Marxist, and socialist) creeds for the management of their nation. I say “ought to be easier” because it seems that each new generation in Western nations thinks that it will be the one to find that elusive utopian pot-of-gold at the end of their artificially-created, progressive rainbow. These dreamers have it set in their minds that the problems with socialist thought are all superficial ones.

If we only had the right leader. If people just knew the good intentions we have in trying to help them. If the citizenry could just be educated properly. If the right piece of legislation were to be passed. If bothersome things like the traditional family structure and local church were to disappear.

Equally frustrating are the responses (or lack thereof) from Americans who don’t believe in top-down socialism, yet remain unconvinced that those who do believe in it are supporting something that is a potential threat to their way of life.

We’re not going to turn into Cuba tomorrow, so why all the fuss? Progressive liberals aren’t really advocating socialism. The American system is too strong to be disrupted by a few rabble-rousers at Harvard and in the media. The Bible doesn’t say that much about “politics” so I don’t think we should even worry too much about it. Ever heard of “separation of church and state”, bro?

What the naïve on both sides of the political aisle in this country are missing is this: the problem with socialism is not simply this or that policy, this or that leader, this or that educational improvement. The problem with socialism (and any ideology using socialism as its proverbial North Star) is an inherent rejection of a Higher Power, mankind’s fallen state, and the immortality of the human soul.

Of course not every liberal, progressive, leftist, or out-right socialist is irreligious, but the ideas that have fueled the ideological Left’s engine for two centuries (about the same amount of time America’s Judeo-Christian, free-market value system has been in place) come from the minds of irreligious men and have almost exclusively produced irreligious results.

This matters, or should matter, to anyone who claims to believe in God. Almost any recent study puts that number at about 90% of Americans. In the 18th and 19th centuries, thinkers such as Robert Owen, Henri de Saint-Simon, and Friedrich Engels began to lay the intellectual groundwork for socialism’ move from a fringe idea to the most dominant socio-political force of the 20th century. They rejected private property. They loathed the excesses and exploits of industrialization. They believed in the supremacy of science and the ability of the enlightened human mind to coordinate the activities of millions of less-enlightened human beings.

Above all else they denied the existence of a personal, rational God and any moral code for living He might have.

This aversion to the divine wasn’t some peripheral, incidental motivation for the founders of modern socialism: it was as foundational to their ethos as “endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights” is to the American one. Committed socialists have always been either adamantly anti-religious, or at the very least, unrelenting critics of religion.

Belief in a Higher Power carries with it certain realities for our day-to-day lives, and even for the way we construct a society and government. For example, it requires humility to acknowledge “there is a God, and I’m not Him.” Such humility is a precursor for the acceptance that mankind is not inherently good, but actually inherently flawed (and in need of redemption). If I’m flawed, then we’re all flawed. If we’re all flawed, then the idea that we can centralize power in the hands of a few and trust their good will and judgment to organize the lives of 300 million people living in the most technologically-advanced, complex civilization in human history becomes untenable (and literally impossible).

Social engineering, an irreplaceable plank in the socialist platform, never works because of the complexities of even the simplest societies and so the socialist committed to science and logic is left floating in the wind with an idea that doesn’t produce the results their theories promised it would.

It is here that the secular collectivist and socialist, realizing that no matter how hard they try they can never fully eradicate man’s primal desire for higher truths and objective standards, begins to invoke language that is soaked in moral, religious connotations. Words like “justice”, “compassion”, and “fairness” are bandied about on the Left by everyone from Karl Marx to Bill Maher. To compound the confusing, contradictory positions they take, socialists seek out religious leaders sympathetic to their anti-capitalist, anti-establishment message.

As I wrote about last summer, Barack Obama moved to Chicago 25 years ago for this very reason. An atheist until his late 20’s, then Barry Obama responded to an ad in The New York Times looking for a young, articulate minority activist to come work in the South-side neighborhoods of the Windy City to help advance the secular-socialist dream of fundamentally changing America as envisioned by the grand puba of community organizing: Saul Alinsky. The people that recruited Obama were, like Alinsky before them, white secular socialists who thought that their inability to capture the hearts and minds of the black and Latino neighborhoods had to do more with the color of their own skin than their revolutionary message. What Barack Obama found out from a local pastor named Jeremiah Wright was that to be taken seriously in these predominantly religious communities, young Obama would have to be in church on Sundays.

Dostoevsky had something to say about this wolves-in-sheep’s-clothing tactic the secular-Left constantly employs as well. During a conversation later in Book One of Brothers Karamazov, a minor character named Peter Miusov recalls the words of a French police inspector put in charge of squashing the 1848 socialist uprising in France.

“We are not particularly afraid of all these socialists, anarchists, atheists, and revolutionists; we keep watch on them and follow all of their doings. But there are a few peculiar men among them who believe in God and are Christians, but are at the same time socialists. Those are the people we are most afraid of…The Christian who is a socialist is to be dreaded far more than the socialist who is an atheist.”

This unholy union between church and big-State proponents is as ironic as it is prevalent throughout the history of the last two centuries. While I can never know the heart or real motivation of someone who claims to believe in both the God of the bible and the tenets of socialism, I can know (and judge) their actions and the results of the things they publicly promote.

I want to be as clear as I possibly can: I hate socialism, in all its various forms and guises. I hate it like I hate the habitual, willful sins in my life that I struggle with on a daily basis. I hate it like I hate the thought of someone who has access to clean water refusing to drink it in favor of contaminated pond-water just because they dislike the person offering them the bottle of Aquifina.

It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about the political, economic, or historical aspects of socialism: it all stinks (and to high heavens).

Rejecting socialism and the notion that the centralization of power and redistribution of income are compatible with liberty and prosperity does not mean that one must instantly become a Ronald Reagan-loving capitalist. It also doesn’t mean that every opponent of socialism has to sign their name to a theologically uniform document, or even be a religious person themselves.

My concern today is two-fold: First that those of you reading this that do hold Judeo-Christian convictions would at least recognize the fundamental rejection of God that lay at the very heart of socialist (Leftist) thought. And second, whether you are a believer or not, that you would have had your intellect intrigued enough to set out to find out if I’m accurate in my appraisal (or at least my agreement with Dostoevsky’s appraisal) of socialism.

“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” -Winston Churchill

Supporting a true patriot: U.S. citizen from Traction Control

I am posting several links here from U.S. Citizen who does Traction Control. USC is also a FFL dealer and has a commercial site where he sells guns and ammo. USC was up in Alaska to help out Joe Miller who is running against Lisa Murkowski. I have never liked Lisa Murkowski and what you see below will explain why. She does not really support gun ownership unless it plays to her advantage. She has had the support of the NRA in the past but to that I say big deal. The NRA sold itself out recently by throwing in with the democrats on some critical legislation that affected all us who strongly believe in the second amendment, and the Constitution as the law of the United States. Why would USC go north to Alaska from his home state of Texas to support the campaign of Joe Miller. Read on for the reasons. Even if you do not live in Alaska, support Joe Miller and help get the word out.

What About Guns? Alaska’s Sen. Murkowski Comes Up Short
By US Citizen/Traction Control

There was one thing I didn’t see at Joe Miller’s campaign site. So I asked, “What about guns?”

Joe Miller’s Research Director, Matt Johnson informed me that Joe is:

∙ A Lifetime member of the NRA (since his teen years)

∙ A former FFL Dealer

∙ A former member of the West Point Rifle Team

∙ A hunter

∙ A .50 BMG Long-Range shooter and

∙ A serious gun collector

Matt also pointed out that his opponent previously held a “D” rating with the NRA while in the Alaska State House, that is until she participated in a NRA fund raiser.

Ms Murkowski is still labeled a “pro-gun compromiser” by Gun Owners of America, who now rate her at just a “B”.

GOA also notes that Lisa Murkowski was one of the Rebublican votes in the confirmation of the rabidly anti-gun Eric Holder.

‘Nuf said. I’m with Joe!

—-

P.S. So is the taxi driver who took me to the campaign headquarters – he said, “Murkowski doesn’t have the stones to stand up for Alaska or to build the kind of coalitions needed to get things done in D.C.”

Wow!

Even though Lisa Murkowski was endorsed by the NRA-ILA in 2004 with “A” Rating on Second Amendment support, she expressed concern over the NRA’s scoring of the Sotomeyer confirmation votes (August 2009 – National Journal article).

It seems to me that Ms. Murkowski enjoys the NRA’s support, but chafes under the obligations that come with it.

Joe Miller’s campaign is fighting an uphill battle – outmatched in funding 20 to 1 and currently trailing in the polls.

But with just less than on month before the Primary vote, the campaign has high hopes that recent endorsements like that of Erick Erickson (RedState), Sarah Palin, Mark Levin, Lars Larson, Laura Ingraham and others (like your humble host at Traction Control) will give Joe Miller the visibility and support he needs to enable him to be the next Senator for the State of Alaska!
