health issues

Man I've had a worrying couple of weeks; I had a strange growth on my back which wasn't going away; eventually I thought enough & went over to the health centre this am. This is how the NHS works; nip across to the health centre at 8.30 am and got an appointment at 9.30 am. All free. Saw the doc and got a diagnosis which is happily just some sort of wart/growth that you can get when you get older. One of the other GPs is a skin specialist and if necessary they'll cut it out, but in the meantime it's just a case of keeping an eye on it, nothing to worry about, back home again and put on the kettle for a nice cup of tea. Whew.

Try that with the VA and you would be waiting to see a specialist for at least 4 months. Glad to see you up and about again.

Thanks; one of the guys at work had non-melanoma skin cancer on his leg not long ago that required surgery, skin graft etc, so I wasn't too happy with this strange bit on my back that wouldn't go away.

One of the GPs at my health centre is the person to go to if you want to get it wheeched off apparently, so we'll see how it goes.

Funnily enough I was just having a snooze in my Lafuma and before I woke up my laptop, I went over an put on the kettle for cup of tea no. 2 ... or should that be 22, of the day ..

Me too/on second cup of coffee - looking at that LIVE protest. Blows my mind we can be watching that. NOT a crowd I would want to be in.

Absolutely not! Latest reports on Sky say that there are Army tanks taking up position to carry out a coup.
