Fabrice Muamba is a footballer who had a heart attack in March 2012 while playing in a match for Bolton Wanderers FC. Dr. Andrew Deaner, a cardiologist, was at the game and leapt the fence to come to his assistance. Together with the team's medical staff, they worked on the young man until an ambulance transferred him to the CCU at London Chest Hospital. Fabrice Muamba's heart stopped for 78 minutes. He was shocked with a defibrillator 15 times.
Eight months later, in November 2012, Fabrice Muamba walked back out on to the pitch at White Hart Lane and received a standing ovation from the crowd.
