Rage Over the Lost Penny

Patriot USA, recently you mentioned your respect for Beethoven.

Join me for a bit of fun as Evgeny Kissin plays Rondo and Cappricio Opus 129 in G.

This is the sort of piece that, when you are driving and blasting the radio, you park and leave the engine running so as to not miss a note until the piece ends.

Listen closely with eyes shut and, at times, it will seem as though this is a duet for four hands. Such is not the case. This genius fulfills it in a solo capacity.

More than anything, to Ludwig, being the profligate genius that he was, even a lost penny meant a growler of beer missing. Surely, no small loss for an obsessive composer like him.

ENJOY,

Zenster
