I suggest everyone takes the time to watch this video, which is hosted by the late Grant Jeffrey. Back in the mid-90s I was asked to visit a software business in England, and I was told by that firm's representative that they had been approached by the British government, because they were looking at the possibility of designing and implementing a national database of all British citizens. The firm was talent-spotting, but I decided at that point that I would not be working with that business in any way, shape or form. As anyone who knows anything about IT will tell you, there is actually no need for people to have an ID card - given our reliance on technology nowadays, there is a massive amount of information about each one of us floating about in cyberspace; all that the state needs to do is pick out a name & collect that individual's data - and they'll know all about them.
As things progress, we will witness states using their power to go beyond mere surveillance of individual citizens, and instead use intimidation tactics, and even engage in outright legal persecution. Anyone who doubts this need only read their history books, or consider what has happened in recent years to Geert Wilders, Elisabeth Sabaditch-Wolff and Tommy Robinson.
Anyone familiar with the work of the Italian communist Antonio Gramsci knows that our cultures have been infiltrated by people who want to destroy everything that is good and true. These traitors have injected a slow-acting poison into our societies' veins, and only now that we are finding it difficult to breathe are we beginning to realize what has happened.
There are technical measures you can take to hinder any government official who might want to check on your whereabouts and activities. Using a VPN for example, means that the location of your IP address is obscured; any files or documents that might be used against you if a government official raids your home and steals away your laptop (which happened to "Fjordman") should be shredded properly - remember that simply deleting a file will not suffice; any documents you need to keep can be stored off-site, either in "the cloud" (using a foreign company) or on a secure flash drive kept apart from your laptop (think Apricorn, Kanguru, Ironkey etc.) These are just some of the obvious measures that can be taken, regarding the web.
In real life, things can take a more sinister turn. After all, a government official can access your internet life without you knowing about it. But if the state decides to physically snoop on you, then you can be followed and spied upon by agents of the state. In America, those agents may be armed. And obviously, even if they're following you in a dark car, they are visible. Anyone who doubts that agents of the state would spend their time (and your money) spying on individual citizens is just being naive. There are regulations and laws on the books that let the state do so, and if a power-hungry control freak has a hammer like that in his toolkit, you'd better believe that anyone who stands up for liberty and independence is going to look just like a nail. In order to keep you in line, they'll happily let you catch sight of a dark suit behind you, standing there with a claw hammer by his side. And if they think they'll get away with it, they may even give you a whack with it! That really is the way the world is turning, and we have to acknowledge that reality.
That does not mean that we have to sit back and let this all take place - no way. We can, and must, resist the forces that are abroad in the world today, and that means doing everything in our power to understand and to expose them. They operate in the shadows; we live in the light.
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Ephesians 6:10-13 KJV)
