Obamanation-Jon McNaughton

*************************************

Obamanation (One Painting That Says It All)

I chose to use an undisclosed studio so I could paint privately, without interruption, to focus on the task of embedding in a single painting all the subtle, mindless, radical and dangerous atrocities of the Obama administration.

I am just one person, a citizen of this country using my first amendment rights to speak out through my art. This is my declaration that we have never had a president do more to harm our country than Barack Obama.

To those who scoff or wish to trivialize this painting, I challenge you... I DARE YOU... study the links of the various symbols and metaphors that you see. There are over 60 in the painting. No person can analyze this image and learn about these facts and still, in good conscience, vote for Obama in 2012.

I do not hate Obama, but I hate the fact that I had to paint this picture. Has the painting gone too far? I knew when I did this that most Obama supporters would reject what I have done. But as a Conservative, I'm fed up with the corruption in Washington. And I'm sick of the political correctness that has derailed our country!

My art is an expression of the times in which I live and people will know how Jon McNaughton felt about being alive in America in 2012.

Take the Challenge! If you still choose Obama, congratulations...you're a part of the Obamanation.

Imam Discusses Sexual Desirability of Six-Year-Old Girls

It is in the Qur'an so it must be so.

Muhammad was a pedophile and more than likely raped Aisha. How many Muslims do you hear or see condemning Muhammad? The Democrats are embracing Islam at the DNC. When was the last time you heard or watched Keith Ellison (U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 5th congressional district) denounce the barbaric acts committed by Muhammad?

"Muhammad had sex with Aisha when she was only nine years old. According to the Qur'an (65:4), Muslims can have sex with prepubescent girls. Hence, it shouldn't be surprising to find a Muslim imam telling his fellow Muslims to cover up little girls because of their sexual desirability."

How Andrew Breitbart Stopped Occupy

Crank your tolerance level to 11, and prepare to watch some crazies, including a pony-tailed SEIU “minder” who followed Mr. Breitbart around, and a grad-school socialist whose inspiration was a friend in prison for robbery.

Where is Occupy Wall Street today? Where are the thousands of demonstrators they promised to bring to the Republican National Convention? If Occupy Wall Street was ever a movement--and not just a mainstream media-created, union-mustered, Barack Obama-endorsed Astroturf community organizing scam--then it was the first movement in history to be stopped by one man with a website. That man was Andrew Breitbart.

Must watch video :Occupy marxtard, The rich need to be destroyed:

This moron cannot define what he is against or really hates. He claims to be a 'classicist' and in my book that makes him an elitist. That fact that he is wearing a shirt like this should not be lost on any of us.

The true hate, racism, lives on the left with Obama morons like this example. Is he OK with the progressive agenda of butchering Babies, especially all those poor black babies? Somalia, Afghanistan, a part of Copenhagen are what he deems a success?

"We need housing and food." Duh, don't we all and most of us are willing to work for these two necessities.

Of course, just given to everyone and no, we don't need no stinking jobs.

Abortion is murder! Any questions.......

On August 28, 2012 the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced the launch of a $150,000 television ad campaign across Missouri highlighting President Obama's extreme record on abortion and featuring abortion survivor Melissa Ohden. Missouri has recently been at the center of the conversation on abortion.

"In light of the recent national discussion over abortion, it's important Americans know the President's best-kept secret: his extreme record on abortion. Melissa Ohden's powerful story draws a stark contrast to his unbending support of abortion and the abortion industry and reveals the human face to this debate." said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. "President Obama's appalling record on abortion is not just limited to his four votes to deny rights to abortion survivors but spans to his recent heartless refusal to support bans on sex-selection and late-term abortions. These actions fly in the face of mainstream American views and run counter to the President's first term pre-election talk of finding common ground. Recent polling reveals the majority of Americans support bans on these horrific practices."

The ad, which will air in media markets across Missouri, can be seen here. A partial script reads:

Ohden: I was aborted, and my body discarded...like I didn't exist.

But a nurse heard me crying...and cared enough to save my life.

There's something else you may not know...when he was in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from a failed abortion. Not once, but four times.

I know that it is by the grace of God I am alive today...if only to ask America this question:

Is this the kind of leadership that will move us forward? Leadership that would discard the least and the weakest among us?

This ad is the first in a series highlighting President Obama's extremist record on abortion. The SBA List has additional ads being considered for release in North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin. This week, the SBA List is in the midst of a five state "Women Speak Out: Abortion is Not Health Care" bus tour which has drawn attention to President Obama's extreme record on abortion. Full schedule available at www.SBAbus.com

The Susan B. Anthony List, and its connected Political Action Committee, the SBA List Candidate Fund, are dedicated to electing candidates and pursuing policies that will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List will emphasize the election, education, promotion, and mobilization of pro-life women.

all the different food groups

I fancied a sandwich earlier, while I was watching the latest episode of "Underbelly: Badness." So I raided the fridge & made myself a couple of bacon & egg rolls. Had to be done ... the photo didn't work out too good under the kitchen lights, but you get the gist ... it's good to live in a civilised country where you can watch TV on your iPad of an evening, and enjoy a couple of bacon rolls.

CAIR Comes Out Against California Assembly Resolution on Campus Anti-Semitism

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

The Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which advertises itself as the moderate voice of American Muslims and defender of their rights, is a creation of the Muslim Brotherhood going back to the 1990s. They are also an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas involving Muslim charities funneling money to designated terrorist organizations in the Middle East.

Now they have joined the fray over the University of California report issued by the Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Exclusion, which outlines problems of anti-Semitism within the University campus system and makes specific recommendations to UC President Mark Yudof. Just this week, I posted a petition created by Stand With Us to  President  Yudof urging him to accept the report and implement the recommendations. This is in the face of a counter-petition by the anti-Israel Jewish Voice for Peace asking Yudof to deep-six the report.

At this point, the California State Assembly has just passed a resolution (Resolution 35), which refers to the report and calls on California campuses to address problems of anti-Semitism.

http://leginfo.ca.gov/pub/11-12/bill/asm/ab_0001-0050/hr_35_bill_20120823_amended_asm_v98.pdf

Now CAIR has lent its voice against the resolution. Shameful. Below is CAIR's statement.

CAIR Says Assembly Resolution Stifles Discussion on California Campuses

(SACRAMENTO, CA, 8/29/12) -- The California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CA), along with nine community, legal, and student organizations, sent a letter to lawmakers in the state about House Resolution 35, which passed in the California Assembly yesterday, because it stifles robust political debate on university campuses. The letter urges lawmakers to reconsider the issue when they reconvene in January.

CAIR: Calif Lawmakers Denounce Anti-Semitism in Colleges (AP)

HR 35 calls upon California college campuses to adopt the recommendations in the Report on Campus Climate for Jewish students, which has been subjected to widespread criticism for its potential threat to students' civil rights.

Text of HR 35
Letter to lawmakers

The letter states in part: "Though cloaked as a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, the actual goal of HR 35 is to stifle geopolitical debates in academic and university settings. Nobody should hesitate to condemn anti-Jewish expression no matter the context in which it arises. But this resolution characterizes criticism of Israel generally as "cloaked" anti-Semitism. By HR 35's logic, Presidents Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, and George H. W. Bush, and organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International are all anti-Semitic because they have at times criticized Israeli policies. This politically motivated definition of anti-Semitism lacks any basis and does a tremendous disservice to the fight against real anti-Semitism. It is no more anti-Semitic to criticize Israel than it is anti-Muslim to criticize Saudi Arabia."

SEE: Human Rights Advocacy is Not Hate Speech

U.C. report on Jewish campus climate: Results marginalize, misrepresent students critical of Israel

UC report on anti-Semitism draws ire

CAIR-Sacramento's Civil Rights Coordinator Rachel Roberts said: "This resolution will do nothing to stop anti-Semitism, but it will stop the discussions college students must be allowed to have to analyze and form opinions on international issues."

HR 35 was passed in less than one month's time, while California students were out of session for the summer. "Lawmakers were not given a full picture of the complexities of this issue and voted thinking they were merely condemning anti-Semitism," said CAIR-LA Government Relations Coordinator Adel Syed. "Since the legislature is so busy, it is easy to miss the enormous constitutional problems with resolutions like HR 35."

CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

How interesting that CAIR takes this position because it stifles the debate against Israel-even though neither the UC report nor the resolution mentions Muslims, Muslim students, or the Muslim Student Associations. One might surmise CAIR has a guilty conscience.

The fact of the matter is that there is no suppression of anti-Israel rhetoric on UC campuse. It is flourishing. On the contrary, it is  pro-Israel speech that is rarely heard. Therein lies the problem: Many Jewish students who have chosen to speak up for Israel have found themselves insulted, spat upon, had cameras shoved in their faces, loaded shopping carts rammed into them from behind, and been subject to intimidation. If it were Muslim students who were enduring this treatment (which they are not), CAIR would be filing lawsuits right and left.

The people at CAIR are not only blatant hypocrites, they are giving their blessing to anti-Jewish harassment on college campuses.

Petition Against Anti-Semitism at Michigan State University

Gary Fouse

I am linking a petition (which I have signed) that concerns a recent attack (August 26) at a party near the Michigan State University campus. A Jewish student named Zach Tennen was approached by two males who asked if he was Jewish. When he answered affirmatively, he was beaten, and while he was on the ground, his assailants stapled his lips together. There were several witnesses, but nobody came to his rescue. Incredibly, the police are saying this was not a hate crime. The Blaze has a report below followed by the petition.

This is a growing problem on university campuses, and if somebody doesn't address it, we are going to have a tragedy on our hands one day. I for one do not want to see one of our campuses become the next Toulouse. Please sign the petition.

Maher Hathout and Freedom Letter

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

Maher Hathout

I have previously written about the Freedom Pledge letter, which had been sent in 2009 by Former Muslims United, an appeal addressed to one hundred of the most prominent Muslim leaders in America asking them to sign statement that American Muslim apostates should not be harmed. Only two of those leaders ever signed the letter or even replied. In April 2012, I met with Imam Muzammil Siddiqi (one of the recipients) at Loyola Marymount University and asked him about the letter. He stated he never received it.

On June 24, 2012, this writer attended a speaking appearance by one of the recipients, Maher Hathout, a high-ranking leader of the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Los Angeles. During the Q and A, another member of the audience asked him about the letter, which Hathout stated he never received. At that point, I handed him his copy of the letter addressed to him. When asked if he would sign it, Hathout replied that he would read it, and if it was serious and did not insult Islam, he would sign it. Below is the video of that event.

http://garyfouse.blogspot.com/2012/07/maher-hathout-appearance-at-guibord.html

On July 4, 2012, FMU sent another round of the same letters to over 200 Muslim leaders including Hathout.

I have been informed by Nonie Darwish this evening that Hathout still has not signed the letter.

Reading the above links you can also access the lists of Muslim leaders who were sent letters in 2009 and 2012.

So the question must be asked as to why so many of our top Islamic leaders in the US have failed to sign a simple statement that former Muslims in America should not be harmed.

One thing is sure. Maher Hathout cannot claim he never received the letter.

The Threat of Sharia and the Leadership of America’s Two Parties

Since I'm still furious about the 'feminists' reaction to an article that speaks against the abuse of women (hint, they cannot help but unleash their volumes of hatred towards the very men who speak up for the female victims of islam), I'll let this article talk for itself. The original version is from Frontpagemag.com.

The Threat of Sharia and the Leadership of America’s Two Parties

Yes, there IS a war against women!

Posted By Eric Allen Bell On August 27, 2012 @ 12:11 am

Imagine you were a teenage girl in Pakistan, and your parents married you off very young.   The marriage is a disaster but you have no rights.   You flee with your daughter to the U.S., you hide out for two years until the detective he hires finds you. In Pakistan, under the Islamic law there, the means of obtaining a divorce is only available to a man, but never of course to a woman.  He demands full custody of your daughter.  Oh, and he’s accused you of adultery.
You consider flying to Pakistan, to contest the divorce, but adultery is a crime under Islamic Law in Pakistan, a crime which is punishable by death.  You will literally be arrested the moment you de-board the plane, in Karachi.   You could face prison time, or even be stoned to death.  And in Pakistan, your testimony under Islamic law is worth only half that of a man’s.  Then you remember, you’re in America now and you have rights.
So, you petition the American courts, filing for a real divorce.  But unfortunately, your husband has a Pakistani judge as an expert witness who he flies in to testify in the Maryland court – and the judge accepts his view of Shariah’s “best interests of the child” as the same as Maryland’s “best interests of the child. You and your daughter are simply outgunned.
And to your surprise, you find out that the American courts have been convinced to bow to Islamic Law (the Sharia), and you are now without any money, you have lost your home, and you have even lost your daughter.
Does this sound just too crazy to be true – like something that just could not happen in America?  In fact, this kind of reckless disregard for American law, in American courts, is actually more common than one might think.  This scenario resembles what happened to one woman in Maryland, and it’s happening all over the country.
In the case of Joohi Hosain of Maryland, the court shockingly abandoned American standards, in making their ruling.  The court ruling stated that the best interests of the child should be determined not by American law, but by applying Pakistani customs and an adherence to Islamic standards.
But sadly, the story gets even worse.  The radical Islamist website, ShariaInAmerica.com, is celebrating this and other cases like it, as victories for Sharia Law in America.  As part of a larger initiative to bring America more into alignment with Islamic Law, they rejoice over the court’s ruling, and provide resources for others who support the advancement of Political Islam in America, as to how they can prevail by imposing Sharia Law onto our American legal system.  And, it is working!
While the Left is bending over backwards, to appease radical Islamist interests, and much of the Right is too cowardly to take a stand, cases like these continue to grow.  The Center for Security Policy has identified at least 50 cases.  But the  Islamist site, ShariaInAmerica.com lists having over 72 victories for Sharia Law, and counting, and boasts that many have triumphed over our American law.
JudicialWatch.org cites former Central Intelligence Agency Director Jim Woolsey, a foreign policy specialist who has worked for both Democratic and Republican administrations, as saying that the United States is, not only at war with terrorists such as Al Qaeda and Hezbollah, but also with those who, over the long run, want to impose Sharia law.  The former CIA Director indicated that Sharia is a theocratic dictatorship, extremely opposed to democracy and a movement to eliminate and destroy western civilization.  He has also pointed out that the radical Islamic group, the Muslim Brotherhood, is largely behind the effort to bring Sharia to the United States.
So, is it really true, that this spike in verifiable cases, where American law is eclipsed by Islamic law, is part of a larger and more sinister objective, on the part of Islamists?  Can we really go the way of Turkey, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Kosovo, Indonesia and so many other nations – nations who, over time, have fallen to Political Islam through the advancement of Sharia Law?  It goes without saying, of course, that every nation which has allowed the advancement of Sharia into its culture is a nation where citizens do not enjoy the human rights that we enjoy today, under the law, in America.
Some might argue that such a scenario for America would be a bit extreme.  Perhaps a more likely scenario would be radicalized enclaves (like the Jamaat ul Fuqra enclaves that are already established across America), that result from Islamic birth rates and immigration continuing to expand and more and more demands being made for special accommodation – such as what is brewing in much of Europe.  Others have asserted that we may face a challenge not unlike the Cold War, where an enormous amount of our focus and resources are used up in order to protect our sovereignty and our liberty.
One thing is for certain – allowing for further compromises in our American legal system, in order to accommodate foreign law, can only make things worse for Americans, and not better.
If we do not take a stand, and demand the policy of American laws for American courts, there will most certainly be more innocent women and children victimized by the brutal and misogynistic Sharia Legal system and denied their full civil rights in America.  There is much more to be learned about this by vising: TheShariahWarOnWomen.org.
In June 2011, the Center for Security Policy issued a report, Shariah Law and American State Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases. The report evaluates 50 Appellate Court cases from 23 states that involve conflicts between Shariah (Islamic law) and American state law. From the introduction:
These cases are the stories of Muslim American families, mostly Muslim women and children, who were asking American courts to preserve their rights to equal protection and due process.  These families came to America for freedom from the discriminatory and cruel laws of Shariah.  When our courts then apply Shariah law in the lives of these families, and deny them equal protection, they are betraying the principles on which America was founded.
But perhaps, on a larger and more fundamental scale, the solution is real leadership – something that, at this low point in our American history, we sorely lack.
So how do the American people feel about banning foreign law in American courts, which deny the rights afforded to us under our Constitution?  In a recent nationwide poll, about 5.9 percent approve of U.S. Courts applying Shariah law to decide cases in American courts, while over 76 percent disapprove.  Clearly the time has come for much of our leadership to get off of the fence and to take a stronger stand.
But what has happened to our leaders?  There seems to be a crisis of leadership in America today.  Abraham Lincoln did not need a political adviser to run focus groups before deciding to sign the Emancipation Proclamation.
Clearly the greatest threat to our national security today comes from Political Islam.  And they are doing a very effective job at keeping our leaders and our people distracted and confused.  And it has been said that a house divided against its self will fall.
Wasn’t it Ronald Reagan who said, “If we lose the war for our freedoms, history will record that those who had the most to lose, did the least to prevent its happening”?
As I recall, he went on to say that, “There is only one guaranteed way you can have peace, and you can have it in the next second – surrender”.
Kansas Secretary of State Kobach proposed an amendment to the RNC platform opposing foreign laws that violate Constitutional principles.  The “preview” of the platform downloaded by Politico includes language opposing judicial activism in applying foreign laws . This would have been unimaginable under the party of 2008.  Standing up for our American way of life takes courage, sacrifice and sometimes nerves of steel.  Who in our “leadership” will continue to answer that call?
“You and I must have the courage to say to our enemies – there is a price we will not pay, there is a point beyond which they must not advance.” – Ronald Reagan
A Republic is a place where we appreciate and protect the rule of law. We are all entitled to be treated equally, under the law. No one should ever, especially under duress – because they are a Muslim woman – be subject to the binding arbitration of Islamic law, especially when such foreign law violates the civil rights afforded to all of us. If those in our government, who are unable or unwilling to take a courageous stand in favor of protecting our American life, are not up to the job, for fear of losing popularity, what do we need them for? Why not vote them out?
We have hope, too, for there are leaders, incumbents and challengers, who support the Constitution over any parallel system of foreign law and who have the courage to take on the Shariah lobby.  History will remember them as the voices of reason, and the names of those who apologized for Shariah will end up on history’s blooper reel.

Poverty with a view: Two more reasons why NOT to vote for Obama

Central Oregon Alpine Stream from Mike Putnam Photography

Welcome to Poverty With A View

Commentary, opinions pulled from the local daily fish wrapper, other sources from around the Pacific Northwest and beyond. With additional commentary from yours truly, one who has the affliction known hereabouts as 'permagrump', PatriotUSA.

Call this an opinion from the RIGHT side of the Cascades.

Where great jobs are scarce but taxes and government overreach, are high.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As so many people say these days, "you just cannot make this stuff up. So it goes here in the hinterlands of Central Pooregon. The slow slide into fall has already started here and we have already dipped down to freezing here at night, last week. Seasons can switch quickly here in the high desert.  The idiocy of those who continue to ride the Unicorn of hope and change and slide down the rainbow to fiscal Armageddon never changes. The horrific thing is that these brainwashed progressive, regressive dolts want to take all of us with them on their ride into 'everyone is equal' stupid, utopia land.

How well has this ever worked out for other countries like Spain, Greece, France? Even Finland and Switzerland are moving away from the socialist models that ensure massive government failure.

Not that most of us need any more reasons NOT to vote for Obama but just in case you are on the fence, here are two more. Both of these letters come from Bend, which used to be a really nice place say like in 1985, before these type of moon bat, leftarded loons really started ruining Oregon and turning it into POORegon.

Obama a better choice than Romney on many issues

First, I won’t be voting for Mitt Romney because he can’t fix the economy. In fact, no president can fix the economy. The economy is too complex for any one person to instantly make it all better.

Our economy is in bad shape because of competition from foreign factories with cheap labor and appalling environmental standards; because of having borrowed more than a trillion dollars to pay for a decade of wars; because of disgraceful practices by deregulated and unregulated financial institutions and corporations; because of European fiscal uncertainty; because of a housing bust brought on by too easy credit; because of politicians in both parties who pander to lobbyists and avoid hard choices, etc.

There is no quick fix here.

But even though no president can magically fix the economy by himself, I trust President Barack Obama’s insights more than Romney’s.

Romney has spent his life creating wealth, not jobs. These are not the same thing. He and his cronies got rich by liquidating small businesses and firing their workers. Job creation was never his goal. He has stashed his loot in foreign banks, has buried most of his tax returns and has lied about his role at Bain Capital. His past performance gives me no confidence that he can do any better than Obama at creating jobs or income for average Americans. In fact, it gives me every reason to believe that he would do worse.

Second, I won’t be voting for Romney because I don’t agree with him on social issues. Let’s take just two examples: abortion and immigration. Here is a man whose brother-in-law’s sister died from a botched illegal abortion and once supported a woman’s right to choose. Now he says we should go back to the days when women could not get a safe legal abortion. Here is a man whose father was born a Mexican citizen and who could therefore, if he wished, claim dual Mexican and American citizenship for himself. But now he would deny people brought to this country as babies and reared as Americans a path to U.S. citizenship. Romney’s lack of consistency and hypocrisy are simply stunning.

Whoever is president for the next four years will likely appoint at least one Supreme Court justice. The prospect of putting that power into the hands of a man whose values are a weather vane spun by the prevailing political winds is terrifying. Even if Romney could fix the economy — which he can’t — his current positions on the social issues would cause me to reject him.

Ultimately, I will not be voting for Romney because he has no core values, so I cannot predict what he will do if elected. This is best illustrated by his flip-flopping on health care. He was a strong advocate for personal responsibility as governor of Massachusetts — arguing even within his own party that it was wrong to let free riders get on the health care bus. Everyone should have access to health care, he said, but everyone should also be expected to help pay for it. Yet when that same Republican individual responsibility approach was incorporated into the Affordable Care Act in 2010, he repudiated his position to appease the right wing of his own party. I cannot support a candidate who is so weak.

I do not think Obama has been a perfect president. He was naive and inexperienced when he was elected. He has made mistakes and done some things I don’t like. But he has both a sound head and a caring heart. And he knows what he believes. That lands him on the right side of most issues. He will be a much better president in his second term than Romney could ever be in his first.

*******************

I just refuse to respond to this Obamabot. Filling in the blanks is so easy and these people can never argue their points or back them up with researched logical facts or historical facts.  I leave you with this from the above first glass of Kool Aid:

" I cannot support a candidate who is so weak."

Yet he supports Obama?? Amazing and like I said, I cannot even make up this kind of blind stupidity.

Ready for glass two of dopey and changey? This one is a real winner pile of brainwashed, well you can fill that blank in here as well and please, do not hurt yourself. You better have the barf bag ready or be close to the bathroom and no, I am not kidding. PatriotUSA

Obama has a proven record on foreign policy
By Patricia Porter

One of the most important responsibilities of any United States president is foreign policy, and President Barack Obama has excelled in this arena.

With the highly savvy team of policy makers he selected, the Obama administration has been able to galvanize U.S. resources to deal with tricky situations worldwide. Eliminating Osama bin Laden and winding down the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are cases in point.

Through other operations, such as aiding Libya, the Obama administration has made it clear that democracy is alive and well, and human rights will continue to be championed by the U.S.

Due to his capable leadership, the world of foreign affairs is in better shape than it has been in a long time. No easy job, to say the least.

Obama’s intelligent approach in the area of foreign affairs rests on the unique ability of his leadership to pay close attention to specific circumstances in troubled areas worldwide and be flexible enough to listen, learn and improvise accordingly. Such adaptability provides a powerful approach rarely employed in past administrations.

While Mitt Romney’s awkward gaffes on his recent foreign relations tour showed a lack of awareness of cultural subtleties, Obama has actually addressed difficult foreign issues extremely successfully.

Truth be told, Romney puts forth few specifics on foreign policy and struggles to find any big disagreements with what the Obama administration has accomplished in the critically important area of foreign affairs.

********************

Can't say I did not warn you about this last letter and  I love this point Ms. Porter coughs up:

"Through other operations, such as aiding Libya, the Obama administration has made it clear that democracy is alive and well, and human rights will continue to be championed by the U.S."

Maybe she should investigate how Christians in the Muslim countries that have suffered from the arab spring winter have fared since every one of these Muslim countries have installed a more radical sharia based system of government. Better yet, she should ask the Copts in Egypt how that new Muslim version of 'democracy' is working before they are all killed off?

I could go on a total rant here but neither of these two brainwashed fools are worthy of any more of my time but please feel free to leave some snarky comments.

I think it best we close on a good note. Here is one letter that proves we still do have folks here in Central POORegon who can think a bit more clearly and see through all the hopey, changey unicorn garbage. PatriotUSA

Following from behind
By Janice Schock

Would that we all could be living in Patricia Porter’s “world of foreign affairs (that) is in better shape than it has been for a long time." (Sunday, Aug. 12)

I hope that she will follow with some pertinent examples of the difficult foreign issues addressed by Barack Obama “extremely successfully."
It is my observation that we are subjected to constant media hype and spin that would influence Porter, but the column on the front page of the same edition — written by Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson — rather well refuted Obama’s so-called successful policies.

Gerson is fairly moderate as a rule, giving both left and right close scrutiny. Therefore his remarks seem merited.

As for Obama’s leadership qualities, I agree with Professor Peter Feaver — as quoted by Gerson — that “America has gone from ‘leading from behind’ to ‘following from behind.’" It is a sad commentary.

*******************

The United States CANNOT afford nor suffer from another term of Obama. This is not an election to vote for wacko nut job Ron Paul or sit out the election. The change in demographics will lead us to become a third world country of entitlement beggars who will keep voting for those politicians who give the masses free entitlements. There is no such thing as free in government hand outs. The liberals, progressives, statists and traitors who hate America are drooling with anticipation of another term of Obama. DO YOUR PART and vote this communist, socialist America hating traitor out of office on November 6th. It may truly be our last chance to save our country, short of a second, possibly very bloody second revolution. PatriotUSA

Wake Up America

Looks like Obama has already “put ya’ll in chains!”
This is  a timely and urgent painting by Jon McNaughton, Wake Up America

If We See Something, Are We Not Supposed to Say Something?

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

The below article was written by my friend and colleague Karen Lugo, a Constitutional Law expert who teaches at Chapman University. As we know, Janet Napolitano has launched a call for American citizens, "If you see something, say something." That sounds reasonable, but when people do speak out about what they see happening, the administration is quick to try and shut them down. Rep. Michele Bachmann quickly comes to mind.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See Something, Say Something, Run For Cover
Karen Lugo

The record of testimonies and statistics presented at Rep. Peter King's five hearings on Islamist radicalization demonstrated that America faces a serious problem; just thestory of Melvin Bledsoe, whose son was radicalized by the Nashville Muslim Students Association and a Tennessee mosque to eventually commit jihad murder at the Little Rock recruiting center was all that Americans really needed to hear.  This heartbreaking story alone highlights the systemic failings that still contribute to denial of this crisis.

In July, the House Appropriations subcommittee held a hearing on the FBI’s handling of the Fort Hood massacre.  Rep. John Carter who represents the district that includes Fort Hood was allowed to question the FBI official, although not a member of the subcommittee.  He was rightfully indignant at the level of political correctness that still hamstrings the very agencies established to monitor radicalism and thwart attacks: “If [Nidal Hasa] yelled out ‘Jesus Christ is God,’ would they have said Christians were involved? I mean, at what point does it get to be Islamic terrorism? That’s the simple question. Answer that one,” Carter said.

Rep. Michele Bachmann has attracted bolts of invective for raising legitimate, but inconvenient, concerns about high level Islamist infiltration of government.  If a member of the House Intelligence Committee who is charged with the essential duty to “say something” if she “sees something” is ridiculed by establishment politicians and left undefended when Islamist agitators blame her for inciting murderous hate, the average person takes away a powerful lesson: if you see something, whatever you do, don’t say anything.

Largely overlooked in this controversy is a fifteen-page letter from Bachmann to Muslim congressman Keith Ellison in which she chronicles the current administration’s blasé relationship with arguably dangerous Islamists; those with connections to expansionist wahhabist groups or terrorist inciters.  She explains that the congressional signatories to her request for an inquiry by the State Department’s inspector general are concerned with the positioning of Hillary Clinton’s top deputy, Huma Abedin (evidentiary record presented by Andrew McCarthy and Andrew Bostom here and here), and they question the administration’s outreach to court-noticed Muslim Brotherhood-associated groups as well as the decision to grant a visa to  Hani Nour ("did-no-one-google-him?") Eldin,a member of a U.S. designated terror organization.

Yet, in light of the published record of Abedin’s past connections to Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas activists, President Obama -- hosting a White House Iftar dinner -- went out of his way to honor Huma Abedin “for her patriotism, grace, and generosity of spirit and “extraordinary representation of our country.”

When government short-cuts important structural processes that serve the ends of security and safety, asking why is obligatory -- not scandalous.   According to Ambassador John Bolton “what these members of Congress have done is simply raise the question to a variety of inspectors general in key agencies — are your departments following their own security clearance guidelines?”

Related concerns over government streamlining of required process – one much closer to most American neighborhoods -- is growing alarm over the siting of mosques and whether prescribed regulatory scrutiny is given to the permitting process.  Very similar complaints of expedited process and short-circuited deliberations (two current examples herehere, and here), as compared to other religious land use applications, are being registered across the country.  Fueling community fears, the Department of Justice has been tipping the scales -- in what some communities are calling a precipitous fashion -- by weighing in on the side of the mosque proponents. A Wall Street Journal article shows the Justice Department is increasingly intervening on behalf of mosques with 16 of 26 probes in the past decade occurring in the 15 months preceding August 2011.

While some mosques are legitimate houses of worship, many have proven to be radicalization centers as an exhaustive empirical study presented on this quandary demonstrates.  The conclusions, based upon indicia of violent materials, promotion of jihadism, and adherence to strict sharia, reached in Shari'a and Violence in American Mosques indicate that “Islam -- as it is generally practiced in mosques across the United States -- continues to manifest a resistance to the kind of tolerant religious and legal framework that would allow its followers to make a sincere affirmation of liberal citizenship.”

As localities approve variances to allow siting of the mosques in residential areas, residents have registered frustration at what they see as a short-cutting of the statutory tests for how a particular use will impact traffic, parking, and other infrastructure concerns.  If zoning scrutiny has relaxed, as compared to the deliberative response that other-than-Muslim religious land use applications receive, the streamlining of process in such cases prompts serious questions as to why mosque treatment appears to be preferential.

The example provided by European Islamic enclaves that have locked down under sharia law systems, thus denying assimilation opportunities and defying civil authority, cannot be ignored.  There are no easy answers as the American guarantees of individual liberty, religion freedom, and expressive rights must not be compromised but we will not reach solutions by muzzling those courageous enough to begin the discussion.

Intimidation and cowardice have long been the enemies of liberty and security, especially when the exercise of liberty and the concerns of security have been in tension.  American voters are responsible for holding elected officials accountable for enforcing security standards and this includes demanding that candidates speak to these issues in an informed and specific manner.

For the sake of all Americans, including secular Muslims, the discussion on how we achieve security while protecting liberty deserves respect.  Much of the tone for this debate will be set by how we treat the serious questions posed by Bachmann’s “National Security Five.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What our leaders don't seem to understand is that it is not just seeing a suspicious person leaving a package unattended at an airport. There is cause for alarm going on all around us. There are citizens in this country who have taken the time to learn about the jihadist movement in America. Lugo is one of them. It is not a question of labeling all Muslims as threats. At the same time, however, the threats are out there. It seems that too many of our national leaders don't want to see anything.
