The inmate has returned to the asylum or I am back home.......

Take your pick because at times (as most of us know) there does not seem to be a lot of difference between what many of us call 'home' or an asylum.

Just a quick note that I am back home and will have some posts up very late tonight. As is always the case when when one takes a holiday, work was a nightmare of sorts and home was just the case of being behind when I left, and now being much farther behind upon my return. That said, I am blessed beyond measure with an awesome wife, family and of course our dog AJ who went completely nuts upon my return.

I would like to offer my most gracious bay area host Zenster, a big THANK YOU for the kindness and hospitality he offered during my holiday. The company, food and drink could NOT have been better. What began as an online friendship has now been cemented for eternity between us and for this, I am extremely very thankful.

Another thank you goes out to Pastor Brian and the wonderful men of Calvary Chapel of Half Moon Bay, California. The retreat I went to was the men's Northern California regional retreat for Calvary Chapel. This was the second time I have been blessed to attend this retreat.

Last but not least is another big thank you to my very good friend and brother in the Lord, Steven Davis who helped make my attending this retreat possible. I know he paid a large portion of what costs were incurred. Our friendship goes back to us and elementary school years. That kind of friendship is the kind that one cannot and should not ever put a 'value' on except for the value that flows from the heart.

The only downside to my visit was when Zenster had to put his dog of 14 years, Zen to sleep. The Lord made it quite clear why I was 'supposed' to be down there besides the retreat I attended and visiting Zenster. I do not believe in coincidences in life and after this trip, I am even more sure about this. There will be more about my experiences and about some of the people I met while on the way down and back. I travel exclusively by train. Let me just say that traveling by rail has never disappointed me in the people and experiences I always seem to have. Of course this trip included me making some fellow travelers very mad and upset through some of the 'discussions' I had with these folks. When one is a counterjihadist, and not shy about sharing this, some people just get defensive and grumpy. It was quite serious and fun for the most part.

Thanks for hanging around and will be back late tonight and I am not sure with what yet but that is just part of 'fun' as I see it.

Friend, I can think of few others on earth who could be more deserving of the effort that was made upon your behalf. Even now, the downstream ripples from your visit are carrying more good things into my, otherwise devastated, life.

The company, food and drink could NOT have been better.

Do you deserve any less? After seeing the almost limitless compassion that you showed for Zen in his final hours, it is difficult to imagine otherwise.

What began as an online friendship has now been cemented for eternity between us and for this, I am extremely very thankful.

Should it turn out that I, indeed, do have an immortal soul, it's difficult to find any reason why I should object to an eternity in the company of a superb friend like you. As to "eternity", I should be so fortunate, especially if it turns out that Zen, Piewacket, Bear Dog and Torbjörn are all waiting there, too.

Once again, thank you so much for the ultimate decency and incredible degree of compassion that you showed my beloved Zen as he shuffled off of this mortal coil. Words simply cannot suffice.

Typing Though Tears,

Zenster
