The Paul Pot and the Paulistinians

It's no secret that I despise Ron Paul, and his cult of deranged followers, who spam the internet with repetitive, canned responses, that are as devoid of thought and fact as an "islam is peace" feminist convention.
And all it took was a few encounters with them, for me to learn just how pathetic their tactics are - by declaring a false group identity ("I am a Jew, 26 years old, my parents are a right-wing duck, and a pro-Israel nazi lama"), and assuming that their readers are completely ignorant, they would then follow with a few copy-pasted statements that support R.Paul (or rather, quote his loonyville propaganda as if it was their own, original idea).

And if you need a better reason to distance from them, well, there's the thing with spraying vinegar into the air, in an attempt to eliminate 'chem-trails'.

But enough about my rants - here's an article from Sultan Knish, that does a better job at explaining the phenomena behind this cult of personality.

The masses weeping over the death of Kim Jong Il and the frantic online defenders of Ron Paul have something in common, it isn't the man they care about. It's what he represents.

The course of events that took a cranky Texas congressman and turned him into the made man of a motley crew of online gambling entrepreneurs, racists, conspiracy theorists and the whole big circus tent filled with offshore accounts, UFO landing sites and copies of the Turner Diaries is an odd one, but not a completely unusual one.

Cults of personality are not about the man, but about the need that he fills in his followers. There is a point at which every dictator, rock star and celebrity realizes that it is the people who adore him that are in charge and all he can do is ride the wave of adulation. The men don't matter, the reasons why people seize on them do matter.

Why Ron Paul? Because like so many at the center of a cult of personality, he is everything to everyone. The big tent he presides over is full of people who don't agree on very much. They are a nexus of opposition to 'everything', but they're also a collection of groups that splinter faster than old wood in a thunderstorm.

Ron Paul's program which is big on ambitious assaults on the government, but short on the details, finesses many of those disagreements. Gay rights? Abortion? Immigration? If you squint and only pay attention to the right statements, then Ron Paul is for you. Like Santa's little elves, his followers spread his selective word by focusing in on target demographics and barraging them with talking points that make it seem like Ron Paul is on their side. Whose side is Ron Paul on? Most likely his own.

The simplest reason why Ron Paul has become the perennial candidate of the Ringling Bros circus is a combination of two things. A past in which he marketed himself heavily to conspiracy theorists as a former member of Congress and a present in which he is a member of Congress.

The left has no shortage of Ron Pauls in Congress, cranks and loons like Shirley Jackson Lee and Pete Stark. When they want to run the chief loon of their side who thinks that the government is beaming radio waves into their brain at the behest of the military industrial complex, they have Cynthia McKinney, the presidential candidate for the Green Party in 2008, who was endorsed by Ron Paul. But their pickings on the Republican side are slimmer. It's Ron Paul or it's nobody.

When Ted Rall was recently dreaming of a left-right revolution against the government, the Paul Pot have been openly talking about it. Rand Paul discussed a left-right coalition for rolling back the "American Empire". That sort of crossover is what makes Ron Paul valuable. The media championed him as an Anti-War Republican because he offered a left-right coalition against the War on Terror.

For all that the wonks insist on viewing America as a red and blue state lineup, there are a lot of other colors in the mix. More than the libertarians, most of whom have a limited comfort level with Paul, there are various flavors of anarchists, white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, and people who are even further off the map. They are a politically underserved demographic and while they won't win elections, they have the obsessive nature and the time to make a difference.

Ron Paul's broad appeal is that he promises to reduce the power of government and American power in general, and that's something everyone from Communists to Nazis, anarchists to monarchists can get behind. Revolutions begin with a broad front assault on the system and Ron Paul has ended up as the symbol of a broad front of those who see some political, financial or other benefit from taking down the system.

That's why Ron Paul's generic policy positions, which aside from drabs of paranoia are not all that distinguishable from many of his opponents, are not really the issue. His pet obsessions even less so except that they allow him to speak the language of his supporters and they make him completely irrelevant on most other issues.

Ron Paul can't speak intelligently on immigration because he's too busy preparing for the day when Americans start seeking refuge in Mexico. Addressing Islamic terrorism is out of the question for the same reason. The knee jerk reflex to weaken even legitimate areas of government responsibility isn't just destructive, it puts Paul in the position of denying that the problems even exist in order to justify resistance to government solutions.

If there's a problem that might require a government solution, then it's easier for Paul to claim that the problem only exists as part of a conspiracy to give the government more powers. This has been the standard response on the fringe to September 11 and is one reason why 9/11 Denial is so popular among the already paranoid.

Liberals decided that rather than dealing with the fact that a left-wing radical shot and killed JFK, they would build up elaborate conspiracy theories blaming the killing on the right. Everyone who found the idea of Muslim terrorists massacring thousands of Americans to be an uncomfortable fit with their ideology began finding ways to blame it on America. That's where Paul's left-right coalition against the war comes from. The New Left and Paleoconservatives came together to deny reality and found a common cause in maintaining a delusional worldview.

The marked difference between the European far right and the American far right is that the former have come face to face with the cold hard facts, while the latter are still acting as if the 21st century is an outgrowth of the early 20th and 19th centuries and must be fought on the same terms. That is another asset for Ron Paul who is in some ways a 19th century candidate still busy refighting the political wars of the past. A man who is too busy rebutting Alexander Hamilton doesn't have much to talk about anything truly dangerous.

Like a broken clock, Ron Paul is right about the unrestricted growth of Federal power, but for the wrong reasons. The United States isn't on a path to becoming the Fourth Reich, the time when that was at all possible is long gone. It is on a path to national dissolution, which happens to be Paul's program and makes his candidacy irrelevant. Centralization and spending aren't the problem, they're the symptoms of the problem which is a corrupt technocratic political culture that he is completely unequipped to address, not least because his own nose has been caught in the trough, but mostly because he isn't a leader.

Ron Paul is an ideologue who has made a career out of his ideology, whether it was in Congress or through his newsletters. Ideologues don't have a history of fixing systems, they have a history of breaking them in a different way. For all his talk of the Founders, they were men who weren't rooted to a single way of doing things. Hamilton, Jefferson and Madison had their fundamental differences, but none of them were so rooted in their way of thinking that they were unable to deal with reality. The closest period analogue to Paul is Thomas Paine, an English radical who was unable to accept the practical outcome of the American Revolution, and instead went seeking new revolutions in England and France. Ironically common sense is the one thing that Paine didn't have. It's the one thing that Paul badly lacks.

If there was a time for Ron Paul it would be now, in an election against a Democratic administration that has dramatically extended Federal power and created its own mini-tyranny. The problem is that Paul is just as unqualified and broken as Obama. Both men are products of rigid ideology who insist that applying it will fix all problems. They are both surrounded by cults of personality that elevate ordinary mediocre men into the avatars of hope and change.

No sooner does Ron Paul mumble a sentence in a debate then his followers plaster a dozen clips of it on YouTube under titles asserting that he "0WNED" Romney, Gingrich, Santorum or the solar system. The sad truth is that Ron Paul has never won a debate or made an articulate argument for anything. He's a shambling ideologue who has shot up only because every other Republican candidate except Huntsman and Santorum have had their moment in the sun. Paul isn't anyone's first choice, he's the fifth choice who isn't likely to win Iowa, let alone the nomination.

Paul's supporters have bought his son a senate seat and given papa a proper sendoff as the bugbear of the Republican Party. The level of devotion is completely detached from any actual accomplishment in the field of politics. But the same was true of Obama.

The chief beneficiaries of Obama's cult of personality were not the young people or minorities who streamed out to vote for him. As always they were the Obama clan and their close supporters. The same is true of Ron Paul who has sucked up a great deal of money that could have been better spent on a more articulate and promising spokesman for their cause. But just as the nature of what Obama really stood for began to disintegrate the moment he took office, so too the question of what Paul really stands for remains open.

The newsletters, which were an open book in the last election but which few of the panicked outlets now reporting on them as if they were fresh news chose to focus on, are the least of it. They represent one aspect of Ron Paul, the one that won him some of his hard core following, and his disavowal of them represents another, that of the politician who knows how to play different constituencies and show a difference face to different groups.

Who is the real Ron Paul? Like the real Obama it doesn't really matter. It's the people who have gathered behind him that are interesting. Their politics are primarily negative. They share a common paranoia and ruthlessness with Obama's supporters, but while Obama's supporters wanted power, they claim not to want it. And yet their campaigns have been exercises in seizing power, in media manipulation, intimidation and deception. There is no real difference between their tactics and those of their far-left, but we are to believe that there is a difference in goals.

That may be true, and yet the purpose of power is power. Those who seize power ultimately use it and revolutionaries who promise that their tactics will change once they are no longer insurgents are not to be believed. The most troubling thing about the Ron Paul campaign is not Ron Paul, but his supporters. It is they who define him more than he defines them. Their collective bum rush isn't just violent, it's simmering with a familiar paranoid cunning laced with bigotry, manipulation and lies. It's the behavior of people who believe they are entitled to power and will do anything to get it.

That is what defines the Ron Paul campaign more than the slight mumbling figure at the center of it. They are Ron Paul more than he is. In a sense Ron Paul is telling the truth when he says that he didn't write the newsletters. Even if he did write them in part or in whole, which is entirely possible, they were the ones that he was writing them for. That angry mass on the side eager to believe the worst and send out money to anyone who affirms their views. They are the same people with their crazy-quilt patchwork of ideologies that he is speaking to now. Their views may be internally irreconcilable, but as long as they have a common enemy in the system, they can overlook the differences and the inconsistencies and push forward without ever realizing that they are going nowhere because there is nowhere to go.

multiculturalism in action

Here's a little story about two people, a man and wife, who were working at a college in Scotland. They liked the place so much they even got married on the college campus. It was a multiculturalist institution, with people from all over the world, and everybody got on very well indeed, so much that ... hold it right there.

The two lecturers have been given their P45s, and are now taking their former employers to an industrial tribunal, claiming racial and religious discrimination, and unfair dismissal. The pair of them are reportedly alleging that they were given their P45s because they were a) white and b) not Muslims.

Now they're discovering what "multiculturalism" really means. The boy's reported as having said, "My face and lack of Muslim faith no longer fit."

Quelle surprise, eh?

Iran's war games

Iran has reportedly said they are going to be test-firing missiles in the Straits of Hormuz today. There's a lot of sabre rattling going on over that stretch of water right now. The US State Department are quoted as saying that Iran is exhibiting "irrational behaviour". Ahmadinejad remember is a believer in the twelfth imam, the mahdi who is an occulted geezer who is supposed to re-emerge from a well somewhere in Iran once the world is chaotic enough to need him. (So logically it makes sense for such a cultist to want to bring about chaos. So: irrational? Well ...)

In response to those harsh words from America, we have Iran's man of the moment, Brigadier General Hussein Salami. He's quoted as saying that America is not qualifed to give the Iranians permission to carry out military strategy, which may well be the case, so far as it goes. Given some of the numpties working for Obama, whose behaviour regarding Iran and indeed the rest of the Middle East has of course, been perfectly rational since the day he took office ...

Muslims burn down 7 Christian homes

More joy from the so-called arab spring, which is turning out to be more like a long, cold winter. Someone put a drawing of the islamic "prophet" on a facebook page, and (moderate?) Muslims immediately burnt down the homes of seven Christian families. The religion of peace, eh?

Denevr policeman wants job back after getting fired for DUII and doing 88 MPH over speed limit

A quick update before the post: I am finally recovering enough from that damn root canal this past Wednesday. The procedure took almost 4 hours and I had to go back for 'problems' Thursday morning that just were part of the deal, it seems. A nasty bit of business this one was. No sense going into details about this. I will gradually be working back into getting posts up. Thanks for those who have been and continue to pray for me! PatriotUSA

Denver cop fired for driving drunk at 143 mph wants job back

By Tom McGhee
The Denver Post

"Derrick Curtis Saunders, who had previously been cleared of charges he pointed a gun at a McDonald's employee in 2009, was arrested for speeding and DUI by the Colorado State Patrol. He couldn't be reached for comment Wednesday."

This guy was policeman in the first place? How arrogant and ignorant can one be in asking for their job back after such an incident? Seems he was cleared after pointing his gun at a McDonald's employee to 'speed up his order' back in 2009.

Not the first time he has had some 'problems ' on the job. Just the type of exposure unions need. He is a embarrassment to those that he worked with and are still on the DPD taking their jobs seriously to serve and protect the public.

Mr. Saunders is a danger to the community he wants to go back to work for. It is very clear he CANNOT be trusted with major responsibilities, carrying a weapon or even driving ANY car, let alone a police cruiser. He lacks anything close to the judgement and character one must have to be a policeman or in law enforcement at all, on or at any level.

If he gets re-instated back into his former job, it will be at the expense of the taxpayers of the city of Denver.

The judge needs to be looked at as well for handing down such a lenient sentence to Mr. Saunders. "An Arapahoe County Court judge sentenced him to five days in jail, fined him $300 and ordered him to perform 100 hours of community service, according to court records." He got off way too easy.

The union should wash it's hands of this loser.

"The penalty is "disproportionate to the offenses alleged and/or is excessive so as to be punitive rather than corrective in nature," according to the appeal, filed by the Denver Police Protective Association's lawyers.

Whiskerydick sings Waylon

I thought I'd introduce the readers at Patriot's Corner to Whiskerydick, who does a great job of covering some classic "outlaw" tracks on his youtube channel. I found this guy after going to Steve the Balladeer's channel on youtube, and clicking through some links from the comments on one of his songs. Anyway, with that said, enjoy the following two songs. The first one is a tribute to his friend, who sadly passed away before hearing the recording.

Muslim man(?) gets decked trying to rob "We Buy Gold" store in North Carolina

Ok, so I just had to post this one up in case you missed it on your local news or the news was sanitized because the name of the perp is Mostafa Kamel Hendi and perhaps, just maybe, just saying he is of muslim origin or background with that name.

The robbery went badly for poor Mostafa as he get decked, knocked out cold by the store employeee, Derek Mothershead. Mostafa made several errors in judgement as you will see and hear when you run the video. The 'gun' he was brandishing about was a pellet pistol.

Mostafa is a bright one, is he not, heh!

I have hit a fair number of people in my day like Mr. Mothershead did and you know it right away when you whack some idiot like poor Mostafa and he goes down to the deck like a bag of spuds. A punch like that ALWAYS feels good to connect with.

Never bring a knife or a toy gun to a gunfight, you will always lose.

Thanks to Vlad Tepes for the video and Gates Of Vienna for the groundwork on this good news of the day or perhaps entire holiday season.

Bulletin Of Christian Persecution For November 28-December 27, 2011

This is the only post for today, the 28th of December. I refuse to cut this short or dilute it down.

islam's horrendous persecution of other religions must be shared so the world will come to it's senses before it is too late. In many areas of the world it is way past too late. islam has already ruined many countries and millions of innocent lives have suffered needlessly because of islam and islamic sharia law.

If I am up to it after my dental adventure later this morning, I will get some other posts up. Just have to wait and see how it goes. I am NOT promising anything here but will do what I am able to if I can!

Political Islam:

November 28 – December 27, 2011

November 28, 2011
Nigeria
Fulani Muslim herdsmen along with Muslim soldiers have killed at least 45 ethnic Berom Christians in Plateau state in the past week, Christians in this northern-central Nigerian town said.
Smaller attacks beginning on Nov. 20, reportedly over allegations by Fulani Muslims of cattle theft, preceded an attack on a Barkin Ladi church on Nov. 23 that killed four Christians, and an assault the next day left 35 Christians dead in Barkin Ladi and nearby Kwok village, according to area Christian leaders.

Church attendance was decimated yesterday as thousands of Christians have left the area. “Christians are fleeing the town because we have no guns to fight back,” said one woman in a group of six Christians trying to leave Barkin Ladi. “Muslims have guns, and they have their soldiers fighting for them, so we have no choice but to leave town.”

Hundreds of hard-line Muslims rallied outside the Bogor City Hall on Sunday to decry the “arrogance” of a beleaguered church in the city that remains shuttered by authorities despite a Supreme Court order to open it. The protesters, from Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia and the Indonesian Muslim Communication Forum (Forkami), said they wanted to show that all Muslims were united in opposition to the presence of the GKI Yasmin Church in the city.

“We’re here to refute the arrogance of the church, which continues to insist on setting up in the Taman Yasmin [housing complex],” said Achmad Imam, the Forkami head in Bogor. The Bogor administration issued a building permit for the church in 2006, but it revoked it two years later, alleging the church had falsified the signatures required to obtain it. The Supreme Court ruled in December 2010 that the closure was unlawful and ordered its reopening, but the city administration continues to ignore the ruling. More HERE.

Egypt
With Islamist groups expected to do well in Egypt’s parliamentary elections, many Coptic Christians are concerned that their limited rights will come under greater threat. Coptic Christians do not have the same rights as other people in the country, and that others look down on them as if they are not human. Now, some Christians say, it can only get worse. The elections that started this week are expected to favor Islamist parties, including the conservative Salafis.

India
Chander Mani Khanna, the Anglican clergyman from All Saints Church arrested for baptised seven Muslims, will be released on bail, a court in Sranigar, Kashmir, ruled this morning. The pastor’s son, Nathan, said, “We are waiting for his arrival in Jammu. He is in custody but safe, but not outside.” Sajan K George, president of the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), pleaded with the Kashmir government to guarantee the pastor’s safety after his release. Rev Khanna has been in prison since 19 November.

Thousands of Muslims attacked and besieged Copts in el Ghorayzat village, population 80,000, killing two Copts and severely wounding others, as well as looting and torching homes and businesses. A quarrel between a Copt, John Hosni, and Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer, who later died in hospital, turned into collective punishment of all Copts in the majority Christian village of elGhorayzat, in the Maragha district of Sohag province. Muslims vowed not to bury Abdel-Nazeer until John Hosni is punished. Mr. Hosni fled from the village with his family, “fearing a wholesale massacre of Copts,” reported activist Mariam Ragy.

The events started on Monday, November 28, when John Hosni, a building supplier, had a quarrel with his neighbor, Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer (48), over some steel rods and cement Mr. Hosni had left in the street to use for erecting a wall around his house. This was perceived by Mr. Abdel-Nazeer as extending the home into the street, which is public property. “Instead of reporting this building transgression to the police or local authorities, Abdel-Nazeer took the matter in his own hands and brought some Salafists and torched the store and the home of the Copt,” said an eyewitness.
In the altercation between the neighbors, Mr. Hosni hit Abdel-Nazeer in the head with a wooden branch, which lead to his death later in hospital.

Angry Muslims murdered two Christian brothers, Kamel Tamer Ibrahim (55) and Kameel Tamer Ibrahim (50), in revenge. The brothers were not a party to the altercation. Kamel Tamer, who was defending his shop from looting, was murdered in front of his wife. His brother was also murdered in front of his wife for defending his home (video of the murdered Copts. WARNING: contains highly graphic content).

Three other Christians, Maher Samir Gota, his wife, and his brother Osama Samir Gota, were severely injured and are in intensive care. They were in their homes when their shop was broken into and looted by Muslims. Maher and his wife were stabbed and Osama received a blow on the head. The ambulance could not go to them to transport them to hospital. He was privately transported by his friends. There were reports of Muslims preventing the fire brigades from reaching the burning homes. After killing the Copts, Muslims went on a rampage, looting and burning Christian owned homes and businesses.

An Islamic extremist group in Pracimantoro, a town in the district of Wonogiri, in central Java, has appealed to local government for the demolition of five Protestant churches in the area. The alarm is launched by Theophilus Bela, human rights activist and promoter of interfaith dialogue, according to whom that the fundamentalists complaint claims the Christian communities lack the building permits (IMB) for places of worship. The tension in the area is steadily increasing, and rumors of threats of demolition, circulating since yesterday evening in a series of documents, is not contributing to calming tempers. Previously, adds the Christian activist, extremist threats have focused on nine other churches in Bekasi regency, West Java.

A posh Montreal suburb has decided to remove a nativity scene and menorah from town hall rather than acquiesce to demands from a Muslim group to erect Islamic religious symbols.
The decision by the Town of Mount Royal upsets a Christian resident who says the town is abandoning an established tradition under pressure from a tiny religious minority.

December 6, 2011
A 25 year old Christian builder has been falsely accused of having ripped and burned pages of the Koran by a Muslim known for his hatred toward non-Muslims. The police registered the complaint despite the intervention of religious leaders. Fanatic groups threaten to kill him.

About 500,000 Christians remain in Iraq, down from an estimated 800,000 to 1.4 million in 2003, according to a report by Minority Rights Group International, a research body. Persecution makes the Christian community smaller each year, with churches as well as households being targeted and causing worshippers to flee.

The Christmas holiday season has rarely been a happy one for Christians in the Middle East, where they are often not allowed to raise church buildings and house churches often experience raids and harassment. Experts on the region say the Christmas season is a particularly dangerous period for the Christian minority, when numerous acts of violence and vandalism take place. The most recent of such attacks in Iraq occured on Dec. 2, when at least 25 people, many of them Christian, were wounded in an attack carried out by a group of Kurds in the Dohuk Governate in the north of the country.

Iraq
A rash of attacks on Christian-owned businesses in northern Iraq has raised troubling questions about the future safety of the country’s shrinking Christian community, particularly as U.S. forces withdraw completely from the nation they’ve refereed since 2003. The attacks, which have received little international attention, raged through northern cities following a sermon last Friday by a local mullah. Video purportedly from the riots posted online shows mobs burning and wrecking businesses, which included liquor stores, hotels and hair salons.

December 11, 2011
Egypt
Coptic Christians are anxiously watching a theological and political battle between Muslim parties expected to win 60% of parliament seats. The struggle will define an emerging political Islam.
“The Islamists have been unleashed,” says Nasri, a pharmacist hoping to follow the lead of tens of thousands of Copts who have left Egypt this year. “You’re talking about no rights for women. No rights for Coptic Christians. They’ll make us more of a minority. It’ll be like living centuries ago.”

More than 500 Muslim students assisted by Muslim police burned down a church in the village of Qoto Baloso, Ethiopia, on Nov. 29. The students screamed “Allahu Akbar” as they set fire to St. Arsema Orthodox Church, which was built on land used by the Christian community for more than 60 years. According to Inspector Mustefa Bashir of Silte Province, police had already ruined the roof after a court ruled that the church was built without a permit, but as for the razing of the church by students, we are investigating to determine those responsible.

A number of gunmen shot and killed a Christian couple as they were walking towards their car on Tuesday night in the restive city of Mosul. Adnan Elia, 34 an owner of jewelry shop, and his wife Raghad, 25 were walking to their car in the Tammuz 17 neighborhood as assailants shot the two who died instantly on the scene. Their two children were hurt but are still alive. On Wednesday morning, the scene was sealed by the security force and the bodies were taken to the forensic department.
The incident comes as the chief of police of the Nineveh province told journalist this week that his department has received information on a plot against the Christian minority in Mosul during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.

Vandals decapitated the statue of the Virgin Mary in a small grotto in Sendag Prawito, Tawangmangu, Semarang Archdiocese (Central Java). A cross was stolen and the aspersorium was badly damaged. “This brutal action has strongly affected the Catholic community,” Mgr Johannes Pujasumarta, archbishop of Semarang, told AsiaNews.

Two weeks after the murder of two Christian brothers by Muslims during the violence that swept the upper Egyptian village of elGhorayzat, the family of the murdered Christians has temporarily come out of hiding to speak of the terror they have been subjected to and decry the impunity enjoyed by the killers, who are walking freely in the village. On November 28, the two Christian brothers, Kamel Tamer Abraham (55) and Camille Tamer Abraham (50), were killed in revenge for the death of the Muslim Mohamad Abdel-Nazeer, who was injured during an altercation with a village Christian over the building of a fence round the Christian’s house, and who later died in hospital. The Christian man fled from the village with his family. Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer, the brother of the dead Muslim, and a mob of Muslims, vowed to avenge his death from all village Copts. They went on a rampage, looting and burning Christian owned homes and businesses, and resulted in the murder of the two brothers and injury to several other Christians not involved in the altercation.

Fliers threatening bombings of churches and other areas have been posted in the Nigerian city of Jos, where Christmas Eve 2010 attacks and reprisals killed dozens, authorities said Friday. A number of fliers were found on the ground in the city, which has long been hit by waves of clashes between Christian and Muslim ethnic groups that have left thousands dead. The pamphlet signed by someone named Idris Musa and written in poor English listed some 21 targets in the planned attacks. “We entire Muslim of Plateau State will never give up until we have our right … Nothing can stop us from bombing these areas before December 26, 2011,” said the flier seen by AFP.

Fahmi Yusef Mansour is the owner of Iraq’s biggest beer supply in the village of Seji near Duhok city in Iraqi Kurdistan. Mansour’s beer storage was stormed and torched by an angry mob during the riots in the province earlier this month. Following Friday sermons people in the cit of Zakho attacked liquor stores, massage parlors and hotels. Mansour, a Christian, said he had received messages threatening to burn down his business. He said he had informed the local mayor and security officials about the threats, but was reassured that nothing would happen. He was in Dohuk the day his store was attacked. He rushed back and tried to protect his business with the help of some relatives carrying guns. According to Mansour around 2,000 people, the majority of them teenagers had attacked his beer storage. Mansour believes some school teachers are responsible for instigating the young people against Christians. “Many teachers encourage student to oppose Christians and their places of worship,” he said, adding that a number of teenage students had thrown stones at the local church. Two students detained by the security forces have allegedly confessed that their teacher had incited them to attack the church.

Pakistan
It will be another Christmas in jail, away from her loved ones, for Asia Bibi, the Christian mother of five children, locked in the women’s prison Sheikpura (Punjab), sentenced to death by the ” black law” pending appeal, still awaiting for the High Court of Lahore to set a date. Yesterday a delegation of the International Masihi Foundation, an NGO that deals with the legal protection of women, visited her to exchange greetings on the eve of the festive season. And for the first time since the assassination of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, who was killed by his bodyguard in January last year, Asia has found herself before a large group of people so far, in fact, she could only speak with her husband and the lawyer during the weekly interview with relatives. In her isolation cell, looking tired and aged, beyond her 46 years, fragile and very weak, she can barely stand up. Entering the room reserved for meetings escorted by two guards, she appears confused and her eyes run from right to left for the duration of the meeting, about 2 hours and 20 minutes, with alternating emotions ranging from tears to laughter, as well as long periods of silence.” More HERE. In Kasur City, one more Christian Irfan Masih was falsely accused under the Blasphemy Law. The Muslims caught him and they attacked him with knifes and almost killed him, however due to the intervention of the local police they stopped.

Chaldean Catholic officials have canceled traditional Christmas Eve midnight Masses because of security risks. Chaldean Archbishop Louis Sako of Kirkuk in northern Iraq told the agency Aid to the Church in Need that Christians will spend Christmas in “great fear” because of the risk of new attacks. All services and Masses have been scheduled for daylight hours, he said in an interview with Rome-based AsiaNews. “Midnight Christmas Mass has been canceled in Baghdad, Mosul and Kirkuk as a consequence of the never-ending assassinations of Christians,” he said, citing the Oct. 31, 2010, attack on the Syrian Catholic cathedral that left 57 people dead in the Iraqi capital.

When the Latin patriarch came to Gaza’s Holy Family church to celebrate Christmas mass last week, he instructed a full house of Catholic and Orthodox families to pray for reconciliation. As the archbishop, Fouad Twal, stood at the lectern in Gaza City, Fatah and Hamas leaders were meeting in Cairo attempting to mend differences that have divided the Palestinian factions for four years and rendered Gaza a besieged Islamist enclave. Of the 1.5 million Palestinians now living in the Gaza Strip, fewer than 1,400 are Christian and those who can are leaving. The church hopes reconciliation will bring them back. There hasn’t been a Christmas tree in Gaza City’s main square since Hamas pushed the Palestinian Authority out of Gaza in 2007 and Christmas is no longer a public holiday. Imad Jelda is an Orthodox Christian who runs a youth training centre in Gaza City. With unemployment hovering at 23%, he has seen young Christian men leave to study and work abroad in their droves. “People here do not celebrate Christmas anymore because they are nervous,” Jelda said. “The youth in particular have a fear inside themselves.”

Local Islamists and Muslim Fulani herdsmen attacked a Christian community in Kaduna state on Monday (Dec. 19), killing five people and wounding six, area sources said, just nine days after a deadly attack on a Christian community in Kukum Gida in the same local government area.
The Muslim assailants, brandishing firearms and machetes, attacked Christians in Ungwan Rami village of Kaura Local Government Area at 10 p.m. in a manner consistent with other religiously motivated assaults in the state, which saw Christians killed last month as well, the sources said.

Nigeria
Terror attacks targeted at Christians, including two bombs at church services, have killed at least 40 across Nigeria. A radical Muslim sect claimed responsibility for five attacks which struck the nation’s north-east today. Most of the victims died on the steps of a Roman Catholic church after celebrating Christmas Mass. The Christmas Day attacks show the growing national ambition of the sect known as Boko Haram, which is thought to be responsible for 504 killings this year alone. The sect, which aims to impose sharia law across the country, claimed responsibility for the three church bombs, the second Christmas in a row the group has caused mass carnage with deadly bombings of churches.

As many Ugandans celebrate Christmas, Pastor Umar Mulinde of Gospel Life Church, Namasuba was lying in pain following an acid attack by unknown person last night. The unfortunate incident happened at mid-night, after Pastor Mulinde led his congregation into night prayers that ushered in Christmas. Witness says that after the attacker poured acid onto the pastor’s face he took off before he could be recognized. Mulinde fall down and started shouting calling for help from his followers who rushed him to Mengo hospital. “The pastor conducted prayers in joyful mood and even asked Christian to repent for their sins. But all of sudden after the prayers when the pastor was leaving the church somebody came and attacked him with acid,” a witness said. Umar is a graduate of Islamic propagation and a sheikh who grew up in a staunch Muslim family where his father was the local Imam. He heard the Gospel clearly explained in relation to his religion at an outdoor meeting when he was a university student.

Iran
A senior evangelical pastor and his wife are spending Christmas behind bars in southern Iran after security forces raided their Assemblies of God-affiliated church, detaining everyone in the building, including children attending Sunday School, a friend of the couple told BosNewsLife.
“Pastor Farhad Sabokrouh and his wife Shahnaz were among those detained in the southern town of Ahwaz Friday morning, [December 23] while they were having Christmas celebrations”, explained their friend, Firouz Khandjani, early Sunday, December 25.
He said security forces pushed dozens of worshipers, including children, into two buses and brought them to a local police station. Most were eventually released, “but the pastor and his wife remain in jail,” Khandjani explained.

The congregation of the embattled GKI Yasmin church in Bogor was forced to move its Christmas prayers to a member’s house after Islamic groups assembled at the disputed site and threatened to challenge the sermon on Sunday. The service was slated to start at 9 a.m. in the sealed church on Jalan Abdullah bin Nuh, but the congregants went elsewhere after members of the Indonesian Muslim Communication Forum (Forkami), the Islamic Reform Movement (Garis) and the Bogor Muslim Community (KMB) objected to that plan. The opposition protestors came to the church in the morning and shouted to guarding police officers and members of the public order agency (Satpol PP) to expel the congregation. “On December 23, they were given a letter stating that they are banned from holding a prayer here. The letter clearly mentioned they can’t hold the service,” Forkami head Ahmad Iman said. Garis head Majudien threatened to deploy his members to the location in a mass Muslim gathering known as tabligh akbar should the Yasmin congregation insist on holding the service there.

Those who murdered Minority Affairs Minister Shahbaz Bhatti, a Catholic, belong to Sipah-e-Sahaba, a Muslim terrorist organisation, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said during a Christmas event at Islamabad’s Fatima Church. In cooperation with Interpol, Pakistani authorities are making all possible efforts to bring them back to Pakistan after they fled to Dubai. Paul Bhatti, brother of the slain minister and national harmony advisor to the prime minister, praised the Interior minister’s statement. “Rehman Malik`s statement will bring an end to the rumours that have been surfacing regarding Shahbaz Bhatti`s murder,” he said.

What Islam gave the world for Christmas.................

islam is the poisonous 'gift' that keeps on taking, not giving, the lives of near countless numbers of innocent victims.

What crimes had these innocent victims committed, which acts were so horrible that those 'radical' muslim groups like boko haram, hamas, hezbollah, the plo, the taliban (not our enemy, according to the ignorant ass, joe biden)  murdered thousands of innocent people?

They were simply Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs or not of any religion but simply non-muslims, or kafirs,.

Make no mistakes about islam, not a one. islam is out to enslave the entire world under the deadly yoke of islamic sharia law and establish a global islamic caliphate. Just ask any of those who survived the Christmas day bombings in Nigeria, or the Christian women of pakistan, afghanistan, who have survived acid being tossed into their faces. The list is much too long and it will keep on growing, dripping with the senseless blood of now over 270 million innocent victims since the spawning of islam in the 7th century.
While the vast majority of 'true religions' have evolved with the times, islam is still stuck in the 7th century. Fueled by a hatred of any and all who are not born into or convert to islam, the bloodletting will continue. Over 60% of the qura'an is devoted to how to deal with the kafir. and much is this is by violent means.

What Islam gave the world for Christmas........

By Barry Rubin

Washington Times

-------------------------------------

In case you need any further proof of how islam works, read this straight from Foreign Confidential and then read about the tragedy in Kosovo.

Confidential Reporter has this to say: "The elderly woman, a survivor of the Muslim pogrom that ended the town's large Serbian community, needed 24-hour-a-day police protection to deter Muslim attacks. Click here for the story.

Question: Why did the Clinton administration intervene in a civil war in order to create a Muslim state in the heart of Europe?

Answer: The Kosovo intervention was in line with America's cynical and stupid pro-Islamist policy (which blew back horrifically on 9/11). The United States has basically made the world safe for rightwing political Islam, not, as anti-Israel leftists would have you believe, by supporting the Jewish State against its genocidal enemies, but as part of an effort to exploit and manipulate political/organized Islam in order to contain and roll back the Iron Curtain and, then, following the crackup of the Soviet Union that was accelerated by the covert, Carter/Reagan-financed and Saudi-supported anti-Soviet war in Afghanistan--on the side of Islamist warlords and jihadist scum--to counter resurgent Russia and Rising China while also seeking to control the oil and gas resources of the Middle East and Central Asia.

Under Obama (of "the Muslim World"), the covert pro-Islamist policy, which dates to the Eisenhower administration's support for the Muslim Brotherhood and its international front groups, is overt. The sword of Islam is in sync with the "moral arc of history," according to America's first Muslim-born-and-reared President.

Steve The Balladeer celebrates Chanukah & Christmas!

I met Steve through Twitter and like his music and thought I would share it here.

Yes, it is after Christmas and today is the last day of Chanukah but I am not a stickler for date accuracy when it comes to supporting 'local' musicians. I was sent this late yesterday.

My wife is in a blues/jazz trio and has been a musician most of her life. I know and lived through (with my wife) the struggles of being a 'local' musician, trying to get your music heard and your talent(s) known. My wife plays many, many different instruments and has a killer voice. OK, so I might be a bit prejudiced but I am brutally honest. If she or anyone in her band sucked, I would be the first to let them know, and I do so when they or she falls short. I am the lone, forgotten and abused roadie, part time sound man for her group. Her band has struggled here locally in central Oregon to gain the hard earned reputation they have. Local music scenes can be quite ruthless and cutthroat, with some bands or individuals stooping to hellish measure to get a gig or 'promote themselves. It is all about playing for the love of what she and her band do, most certainly not for the money.

This is why I have posted up Steve's latest here. He is pretty good and the very least I can do is support him, and what he loves to do, play music.

I am sure to be in and out with posts this week as I must proceed with the nasty bit of dental work on Wednesday and am hoping there are no complications.

Thanks again to all who pitched in while I was out of sorts this past weekend.

Suspect arrested in acid attack

Police in Uganda have arrested a man in connection with the acid attack on Christmas Eve of Pastor Umar Mulinde of Gospel Life Church.

Pastor Mulinde has suffered facial burns, and doctors are doing everything they can to save the sight in his right eye.  The pastor has said that he has been threatened many times because he converted to Christianity from islam. He had been brought up in an islamic family, and his father had served as a local imam.

Now the pastor says that he was attacked by someone who yelled "Pastor, pastor" and when he turned round, they threw acid in his face. As he tried to shield his face, another attacker poured acid on him from behind, and yelled out the takbir before running away.

Police say they are trying to establish the motives of the attackers.

USA to give Israel aid for missle defences

The USA has agreed to provide Israel with $235 million in order to beef up their missile defence systems. Israel brought their Iron Dome missile defence system online in March 2011. This system was developed by Rafael Advanced Defence Systems to intercept short range rockets and missles. In May 2011, Maj. Gen. Udi Shani of the Israeli Defence Ministry said that Israel intends to install 10 to 15 Iron Dome batteries, at an approximate cost of $1 billion.

Book on Islamic martyrdom released in Germany

The Iran Book Agency reports that a book by Ayatollah Morteza Motahari entitled Martyr in Islam has been translated into German, and released in Germany. According to the review, the book claims that although scholars, teachers, doctors and the like may be rewarded in the afterlife, none will be appreciated more than the Islamic martyr. Motahari has written that:

"There is no substance in Christianity; it contains no more than a few moral teachings that form a set of advice such as "tell the truth", "do not tell lies", "do not gobble up the wealth of others", and so on. [...] Islam however is a religion that sees its duty and commitment to form an Islamic state. Islam came to reform society and to form a nation and government. It's mandate is the reform of the whole world. Such a religion cannot be indifferent. It cannot be without a law of jihad."

Doesn't it give you a warm glow inside to know that this Islamic thinker is having his work released in Germany, right after Elisabeth Sabaditch-Wolff has been prosecuted for denigrating religious beliefs?

Boko Haram's terror campaign

The Islamic group Boko Haram have claimed responsibility for a campaign of terrorism which is raging across Nigeria, according to Sky. At the time of writing this post, the breaking news is that there has been a series of explosions across the country, with at least two attacks on churches during Christmas Day services, resulting in at least 30 deaths. Sky's estimate is that Boko Haram are responsible for nearly 491 deaths this year alone. According to Sky the words Boko Haram means "Western education is sacrilege". Boko Haram, clearly misunderstanders of the religion of peace, want to implement Shariah law across Nigeria.

Jewish Tooth Fairy Fund

The Roberta Project for Survivors of Terror, which is part of ATZUM, has just launched an effort to provide dental care to survivors of terrorist attacks in Israel.  People suffer long after a terrorist attack; it's not just a case of surviving when the bus you're aboard is blown up by a suicide bomber, brushing yourself off and saying, "Oh dearie me, I'll be late for my work now."

Survivors of all ages can suffer from PTSD, they can have all sorts of physical problems, and on a purely financial basis, whole families can suffer if the main breadwinner was killed in a terrorist attack. One of the things people usually don't think about - until they have toothache themselves - is the cost of dental care. The Jewish Tooth Fairy Fund aims initially to provide funding for approximately 10-15 Israeli survivors of terrorist attacks to receive dental treatment. They also hope to recruit Israeli dentists who will then provide low-cost treatment to survivors in Israel.

The Survivors of Terror project was renamed in 2008 in honour of Roberta Bernstein, who had helped hundreds of familes who had survived terrorist attacks while working with ATZUM. Sadly, Roberta, her husband Chuck, and her daughter Batsheva were killed in an RTA (road traffic accident) in 2007.

There is evil in this world

Please spend a moment this Christmas praying for Pastor Umar Mulinde. The good pastor is a Christian who has renounced the teachings of islam and has "an outstanding ability to debate and challenge the religion from which he came in any public forum." Apparently Pastor Mulinde's willingness and ability to talk openly about his past religion have "caused him to be at loggerheads with some Muslims."

After conducting prayers last night (Christmas Eve) at the Gospel Life Church, the pastor was attacked and had acid poured on his face. The pastor's evil and cowardly attacker ran away before he could be recognised. The pastor shouted for help, and was taken to Mengo Hospital by members of his congregation.

PatriotUSA very under the weather and why I am missing.

First of all, A HUGE thank you to all the contributors here at Patriot's Corner. Read on to know why I am so blessed and grateful by all of you who make this site run.

Maybe a few folks might have noticed my absence, here is why.

Sorry to report that I have been very out of it from a tooth that went very south (bad) starting this past Wednesday. I was on my way home from work in Bend when I was blinded by severe pain, so bad I had to pull over. I waited about 30 minutes and finished the trip home.

Thursday morning was spent trying to find a dentist to see me for my 'emergency', which it was. Side of face was puffed out, and there is nothing like severe dental pain. My own dentist could not see me before Tuesday simply because I am on the Oregon Health Plan for dental. I am covered through a program called Employed people with disabilities. There is only ONE dental provider for all of central Oregon. My situation did not qualify as a same day or next day visit. So I went to a new dentist who trashed her schedule to see me. #30 molar lost it's filling and here I am looking at $2,000  (will probably be less) for root canal and crown. I have been eating pain killers and antibiotics and have slept the better part of two days away. One way or another this will get taken care of , what's $2,000.00 more of debt at this point. This is not a tooth that you can pull as it is NOT the last molar, no such luck there either. It could always be worse but once the fever breaks I will return but just wanted to let everyone know.I am off work most of next week thanks to budget cuts. It is back to bed after one more quick post, and yes I am about as grumpy as a rattler being poked and prodded after getting caught in the noon day sun in the Sonoran desert. Nurse AJ has refused to leave my side as he tends to do when I get ill or have surgery.

I will return as soon as I am able to.

What can be done about Iran?

Matthew Kroenig has been thinking about how we must deal with the Iranian nuclear threat. Kroenig has a doctorate in political science, is currently a fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, and is one of the editors of The Causes and Consequences of Nuclear Proliferation (published by Routledge.) Kroenig argues that the best option we now have is for the United States to strike against Iran, and cripple their efforts to create nuclear WMD.

As Kroenig rather eloquently puts it, that would "remove the incentive" for other nations in the Middle East to try to construct their own nuclear WMD. Kroenig argues that America is in a better position to carry out a successful pre-emptive strike against Ahmadinejad's gang. Alternatively, we could engage in a cold war against Iran that could last for years or even decades, a project which has absolutely no guarantee of success.

The fact is that this situation has been allowed to drift by the Obama administration, and with each week they let slide without acting against Iran, the situation deteriorates further. As Koenig points out, sooner or later the civilised world will be forced to choose between a nuclear confrontation with Iran or a conventional one.

Some may believe in a fantasy world where everyone on the earth will one day hold hands and write a new advert for cola as they sing by the campfire. But as Machiavelli once wrote, it appears to me more appropriate to consider the real truth of a matter than to be guided by a figment of someone else's imagination. And the truth, the real truth in this world we live in, is that any real leader (Machiavelli would say a leader with virtu) knows that sometimes it is necessary to do something which is not good (and as Kroenig says, launching a military strike against Iran is not what anyone would call a good option), in order to achieve a more lasting peace and security for the wider world.

Sadly, everything we've seen about Barrack Hussein Obama so far tells us that he is not that man.

So where are we all heading? I shudder to think ... Maybe it's time to open up our Bibles and start reading, people.

I suggest beginning with Psalm 83 ...

Another terrorist attack from Gaza

Yet another attack from Gaza aimed at killing innocent civilians. Fortunately the ineptitude of the Islamic terrorists meant on this occasion that no one was killed. Still as far as the Islamic terrorists in Gaza are concerned, there's always a next time ... (and we all know there will be, too.)

Between Responsible and Irresponsible Isolationism

This post is about Ron Paul's "no foreign aid" nonsense, and his cult of rabid zealots who spew this anti-American propaganda, masked as a healthy policy.

'Foreign aid' (AKA bribe), when used wisely, is a cheaper alternative to the use of force in order to influence the power balance structure of the world.
The issue isn't morality, but US interests, so the question should be, "is the current spending of money on foreign players beneficial to American interests, or detrimental to them?"
I believe you would find that far too much funding is thrown away on enemies that would never become allies - and vice versa.

Thus, when a demagogue like R.Paul talks about saving money and troops, his irresponsible policies, if ever pursued, would actually result in a loss of both.
It is fortunate for him that the world is full of halfwits in need of identity, who are willing to swallow this nonsense, but the true power of his words is that he offers change.
In times of desperation, more are willing to follow a false prophet, if only for the hope that he would somehow make their lives better.

Sounds like a familiar scenario?

Now, here is an article from Sultan Knish, that goes into detail about isolationism and foreign policy.

There is one fundamental element that is absolutely necessary for an isolationist foreign policy. Isolation. Isolationism without physical isolation is as much good as belligerence without an army to back it up.

American isolationism might have been feasible during WW1 when its neighbors were either friendly or no threat, there was no danger from the Pacific and a fleet crossing the Atlantic seemed unlikely. Though it wasn't so unlikely even then.

As far back as 1897 and long before any American involvement in Europe, Operational Plan Three called for shelling New York and seizing parts of Virginia, as a staging base for attacks on Washington and Baltimore. Plans were drawn up in Germany for the occupation of Boston and Philadelphia.

Vice-Admiral August Thomsen wrote, "At the moment every thinking German officer is occupied with the consequences of a belligerent conflict between Germany and the United States of America."

No American politician was thinking the same thing. America had not intervened in any European wars and had no interest in Germany. But that didn't matter. The Kasier wanted to seize parts of the hemisphere and that meant breaking the dominant power in the region. America's weak fleet made it seem like an easy target.

That is the most important part of the equation that isolationists fail to include in their calculations. Regardless of our foreign policy, we are still a target. Whatever our calculations are, potential enemies may have calculations entirely different from our own. They don't just react to what we do, they have their own plans and agendas. Passivity isn't a defense for the ostrich or for a nation.

In 1900 while America slept, German diplomats were scouting Cape Cod and Provincetown as support bases for an attack on Boston. And the Germans weren't alone. In the early 20th century there were British plans for an assault on New England. But Germany's failure to formulate an alliance with other European powers against the United States led to the abandonment of Operational Plan Three.

When Charles Lindbergh ridiculed the idea of a foreign attack on America, such an attack was less than a year away, but variations of it had been planned by European powers for a good deal longer than that. Terrorist attacks by foreign agents were a now forgotten reality during WW1, including the Black Tom explosion which severely damaged the Statue of Liberty, the Vanceboro bridge bombing, and in an early form of biological warfare a laboratory in Chevy Chase was working on anthrax and glanders cultures to be used on horses.

With the jet plane and the intercontinental ballistic missile, isolationism became completely unworkable without strong deterrence. Even if the United States had chosen to abandon Europe, it would still have needed massive nuclear missile stockpiles, a sizable fleet and military, and a policy of Mutually Assured Destruction just to pursue a policy of isolationism. And had the USSR managed to make even deeper inroads in South America, the United States would have been forced to either push it out or increase the size of its forces to compensate for the loss of a buffer zone against preemptive attacks.

It's not impossible to have an isolationist foreign policy today, to cut any alliances with the rest of the world. But there's a fundamental difference between a responsible and an irresponsible isolationist policy. A responsible isolationist policy recognizes that we have enemies who will act regardless of what we do and prepares against the possibility of war without actively seeking it out.

An irresponsible isolationist foreign policy however acts as if we have no enemies and that any talk that we have enemies is a conspiracy to bring us into a war. It accepts every bit of enemy propaganda as gospel and assumes that if we just "stop bothering them", they'll "stop bothering us". It assumes that the enemy is entirely motivated by our actions, that any conflict we are in is the result of our foreign policy and that isolationism will avert any such conflicts.

This is the version of isolationism that you hear in the Republican debates from Ron Paul. It's the version that Americans heard back in the 1930's from Lindbergh. Rather than recognizing that a military buildup is an important deterrent to war, it attacks military buildups as provocative. It assumes that the only possible reason why we might be attacked are foreign entanglements and if we just tuck our heads in then there will be no conflict.

The absurdity of this approach when it comes to the current clash of civilizations with Islam is obvious enough. This isn't a conflict that dates back from 1991 or 1948 or even the First Barbary War in 1805. It's a war that predates the United States and modern day Europe. It is a conflict that goes back over a thousand years to the decline and fall of the eastern remains of the Roman Empire and the rise of Islam as a militant unification ideology to fill that void.

American foreign policy can't turn back the clock on that history. It can affect events in the present day, but it can't undo the roots of a conflict that it has inherited. American foreign policy had a good deal to do with the rise of Islamic states built on petrodollars, but isolationism is certainly not going to make them go away. Certainly not Ron Paul's brand of isolationism which pretends that there is nothing wrong with Islam that can't be fixed with an American isolationist foreign policy.

During the last debate, Ron Paul asked why they're bombing us and not Sweden or Switzerland. The answer is very simple. You only bomb people who resist. Stockholm is 20 percent Muslim. Muslim terrorists operate out of Sweden, including a top Al-Qaeda leader, but they don't need to attack a territory that they're already on the way to ruling through natural demographics.

44 percent of Europe's population is over 45. Under 34 percent is under 30. Meanwhile half of European Muslims are under 30. The math isn't very hard to do. The only countries that need to be targeted by Muslim terrorists are those which have a high enough birth rate that demographics alone won't do the trick.

The First World country with the highest birth rate is Israel. It's also the country most targeted by Muslim terrorists. The First World country with the second highest birth rate is the United States. It is the country second most targeted by terrorists. The next major countries on the list are France and the UK. There's a term for this sort of thing. It's demographic suppression and political intimidation.

Back in the 19th century the Kasier hoped that shelling Manhattan and seizing a few cities would bring the United States to the negotiating table. Japan thought that bombing Pearl Harbor would accomplish the same thing. But while Tojo was wrong, the House of Saud was correct. September 11 brought the United States to the negotiating table with Islam. Muslims have been granted special privileges and their immigration rate has increased. That's one path to an eventual demographic domination.

Islamic attacks against the United States may emerge from various micro-events, but the macro-event from which they originate is the shared history of the Western world and the ongoing conflict between the Muslim world and the West. Some isolationists may act as if the United States can break with European history through assertion alone. It cannot. Like it or not it shares a common history and a common culture. America derives from Europe, and whether Americans recognize it or not, the rest of the world does. To Islam, America is not an island, it is another outpost of an enemy civilization that must be subdued so that the way of Mohammed will triumph around the world.

Ron Paul type isolationists fail to distinguish between the proximate causes of war and the ultimate causes of war. A proximate cause of war may be a ship that has wandered into the wrong area which may have been caused by a trade dispute which may have been caused by debts which may have been caused by growing militarism and greed for land. But none of those are truly the ultimate cause of war. The ultimate cause of war is the incompatibility of two systems and two civilizations within the same space.

Technological development means that the old boundaries are all but gone. Immigration means that the enemy population is already here. The rise of Islam means that war is inevitable, all that remains are the details, which battle, on what terms and in what form, and the larger detail of who will win.

Rationalism isolationism accepts that war may be inevitable but chooses to meet it on our terms. Irrational isolationism, which often carries with it defeatist and treasonous overtones, accepts the enemy's justifications for the conflicts and assumes that if we modify our behavior accordingly that there will be no need for war.

"Si vis pacem, para bellum," was a rule that the old Romans knew. If you would have peace, prepare for war. The emblem of the Strategic Air Command was an olive branch and thunderbolt held in a mailed fist. Its motto was "Peace is Our Profession". The SAC kept the peace through the threat of war. Only an isolationism that understands the meaning of that motto can be successful.
