Which side of the Fence?

This is so very well written and expressed by TexasFred. The first part is one that many of us have read before. What Fred has written after is what is really special. I know what side of the fence I am on. Please join us to save our country!

Which side of the fence?

Have you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on? This isn’t just a re-post of an email we’ve all seen many times. Read past that part. I was sent this again today and for some reason I was inspired to write the post below the email. I hope you enjoy it!

If a Republican doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a Democrat doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a Republican doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrats demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a Republican reads this, he’ll forward it so his friends know how to vote in November!
A Democrat will close it because he’s “offended”.

We’ve all seen this come around in an email before, it’s been out there for a while.

I’m not a fence sitter, I’m not a middle of the road kind of guy. I have long felt that standing in the middle of the road only got you one thing, RUN OVER! I stand firmly planted on the RIGHT and I make no apology for doing so.

I am NOT a Republican. I have made that clear on many occasions, but I can agree with this original email because the Republican that is used in the above narrative is a real Republican, not some PC wannabe, or a reach across the aisle appeaser or, the most dreaded of all, a damned RINO.

Re-read the above and replace the word Republican with the word Conservative. Then you have me and MY stand on life in America.

One thing the above narrative doesn’t mention is ILLEGAL immigration.

Conservatives aren’t against immigration, they simply want to see the law of the land enforced.

Democrats welcome, and want to give amnesty to the law breakers.

I have stated many times, I am the grandson of an immigrant. I hold nothing against immigrants as long as they come to this nation LEGALLY, strive to become Americans, work, pay taxes, go about their lives like other Americans, raise their families to BE Americans, in every sense of the word, and make some sort of positive contribution to this nation.

The Democrats, on the other hand, welcome ALL to this land, no matter HOW they got here or to what purpose they came.

They are welcomed with promises of amnesty, a Social Security card, welfare, healthcare, food stamps, free education, (free to them) and myriad other government and social programs that are unavailable to the average American citizen.

Conservatives have respect for the laws of this land. We respect the Constitution and we KNOW that it was written by men far wiser than ourselves.

Democrats want to usurp the laws of the land and either rewrite or destroy the Constitution, the very fabric of America.

My family was not politically involved as I was growing up. I don’t think my mother or father ever voted. They were the type that felt that their vote didn’t count, didn’t matter and by God, they weren’t going to take the time to go out and waste a vote.

They were, of course, very wrong.

As a youngster, I wasn’t a political activist but I was politically motivated. I was what could best be described as a Dixiecrat, and although Truman had come and gone before I was old enough to become politically aware, I retained those same beliefs until Ronald Reagan came on the scene, and like most Dixiecrats, I became a Reagan Conservative.

After Mr. Reagan left office, the Reagan Conservatives were pretty much taken over by the GOP and their BIG TENT ideology and way of doing things. The GOP took a left turn in the eyes of many that had been Reagan Conservatives, and thus, the Conservative movement of today came to be. We didn’t leave the Democratic party or the GOP, they left US!

Conservative Americans must get their act together, and I mean NOW! Elections are rapidly approaching and the battle lines for the Senate and several Gubernatorial races have been drawn. There has yet to be a bonafide candidate emerge from the herd of RINOs expected to throw their hat in the 2012 presidential race, and yes, I DID say RINOs. ALL of the ones making noise right now are NOT Conservatives, no matter what they say, no matter how they say it and no matter how many moose they can skin and cook.

America either gets back on an even keel, kicks out the Dems and RINOs and returns to a true Conservative posture, or America is doomed.

Come sit on THIS side of the fence my friends. We CAN save this nation, it’s not too late, but we either start RIGHT NOW, or soon there will be nothing left to save.

I close by asking God to PLEASE, bless America once again!
